Title: A moment of silence please.
Post by: Vaculin on May 19, 2021, 01:08:17 PM
Bitcoin is always bitcoin, it's very unpredictable, now, in just a span of one day, who would have thought that we are going down below $30k.

As of this writing, the price is $33k.. and more dump to come.

Would you still hold or can you still hold guys?

Yeah, I can still hodl, keep the prices going low, I want to buy a lot of bitcoin a really low price, this is just another pullback that will launch bitcoin into a new heights, just hodl.

Nope I will not hold I secure my assets already and convert it to USDT then my next plan is to buy bitcoin at the dip, I'm just monitoring the market to find a better good spot to enter and also I will explote the alt markets since there are so many cheap coins has been there.

Hopefully we will not surpass the 20k price drop since its so painful to see on how the market goes today.

I'm crying right now literally, all my profit are gone now but I know this is just temporary. Hopefully, $30k is the bottom already so we can end this day at least on a good bounce. I'm expecting a correction but not like this, in just one day it almost burned out my portfolio and liquidated my positions already, too bad to those who bought at the peak price, just keep holding for now.

I have been through worse of times with Bitcoin. I did not leave Bitcoin when the price came down from around $20,000 to just less than $4,000. Why would I leave now when the price is still very high at $36,000?

And why are we talking of whether we can still hodl or not? Are we going to decide to sell or not this time because the price has already lost almost half of its value? If we are to consider getting out from hodling, it should have been decided when the price was $64,000 and not when the price has already fallen to $36,000?

Are we becoming the sheep now?

I'll not sell my holdings yet, the price is too low and people are still panicking because of the fresh negative news, hopefully Tomorrow will be a green day again. I'd better take some rest for now, don't look at the market every minute and enjoy with yourself for now, the market will recover again just like before so don't be sad, you can also create your next move either to buy more or just hold, just don't feel too depressed and stay focus.

If I keep holding there is nothing to lose, besides seeing my funds negative for a while, otherwise if I sell, I may be losing the opportunity to see bitcoin hitting a new ATH and giving this opportunity to the institutional investors, who already rule the world through their financial power. It means if I sell bitcoin I'm giving more power to these people enslave me.
Comparing the disadvantages and advantages of selling bitcoin right now or not, I definitely reach to the conclusion I shouldn't sell anything, except the amount needed to pay for daily expenses, as usual, that must be converted to fiat first.

I already decided against the sell at higher prices, it was only ever the average price over time that really counts in that context outside of quick trades.   So 200 day average is still rising, long term I dont think its especially altered except to lose the froth which is alarming to some but I did think we returned to averages so here we are.

Staying above the 200 day average (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/06/12/AJeDc.png) would be surprisingly bullish because the volume seems to suggest lower, but seems feasible we now surprise to the upside.   I do think it'll wander back and forth anyhow.

Yup I never would have guessed we'd see $30k again. But that looks to be the big "moment of most pain" bottom. Strong rejection and bounce occurred there. Panic sellers had their day and crashed the price. No I think we'll see the market gradually turn more bullish again after the past 3 months of sideways and finally a crash. Feels like the market has cleared the apprehensive air about going down now and we've seen the bottom. $30k-$60k next few months and then onward to $100k by end of year!

Waiting for another support and im considering to buy cheaper coins and you are right that this is just the typical bitcoin volatility on where there are times like these but surprisingly
there are still people who get  surprised on whats currently happening and soon theyll realize that this is just a normal day in crypto. Why they cant just see this as an opportunity
to buy cheaper rather than on panic selling? Good for those who do able to get out while its still on peak but this is actually not an issue for those hodlers out there.

Would you still hold or can you still hold guys?
An easy question. There's no reason for me to dump, I've been happy that I've managed to hold and waiting for this dip to come because it has to happen. I can still hold, I've even held when it was at the cheapest and hardest year for me which was the 2018.
That's why this question and the price that we're seeing today, that's just another experience to gain which will allow us to have that feeling that it's no longer the same pain as before that we've all endured.

Whales are buying big time now and its good that we easily bounce back from $30k to $39k, at least we know that whales are still catching Bitcoin on its dumped price and saw on twitter Justin Sun and Michael Saylor are adding more numbers into their bags. I’m not that panicking at all because I know this is going to happen, and I choose to hold more and bought some at a cheaper price.  :)

Its definitely a time to buy!

For the people who were worrying about how little Bitcoin they could buy when
the value was $64,000, you can buy almost twice the amount now!

Any Bitcoiner involved since at least 2017 know the value of HODL and Buying Dips
at times like these.

Its always the same when Bitcoin corrects massively, there are many threads
asking what is and what will happen.

Its definitely a time to buy!

Definitely!
Im already having some saved funds which are intended for this kind of situation in the market where there's some correction and now is the time to buy.
Instead on panicking then better to look into the brighter side which this is an opportunity for you to take on getting some coins because market is always
been like this.It might be on greens today but on the next day or next minute it could really be on the red side.

Hold hold hold and buy more !

I really can't understand selling, unless maybe you were just getting into it and bought at the top ? But then you're losing your shirt.

Trade with a small part of your stash and fiat, why not, but most of your stash you should hold or you're never going to benefit. And trading is risky so you might end up with nothing.

This. We should treat the dump as an off sale, Bitcoin just fetches those people who are not yet aboard the train.
And flushed out shitcoins that started to show up recently, especially those animal coins. Look how shitcoins devastated on the dip of Bitcoin and how it bounce, shitcoins will have difficulty to bounce or it will totally starting to vanish and will be dead.

we need to hold no matter what because that's the good thing to do on this kind of situation.. Indeed bitcoin isn't dying wherein it just keep decreasing constantly because of panic selling,  so if we ride such way as well and assuming its a good decision, no its not honestly.. because for that reason bitcoin will end up to a very low price and we cannot regain all of our loses. Just imagine how it react after day or two because of panic selling..so we should stay calm despite of the situation.. It will recover soon let's just keep our fingers crossed..

I think the lowest was $30k.. so have you made a purchase guys? because if you do, you make easy money as bitcoin is already back at $40k now, and that is even in less than 24 hours, easy money for those who did not panic, but a bad move for the newbies who sold due to panic.

Expect that we will see more of these in the future, it's not new to us.

So true. I never predicted bitcoin. But I have been intending to buy bitcoin and will sell it within 5 years. Currently I have held bitcoin for more than 2 years. In the next 3 years I will sell it no matter what. It may seem strange, but this is the way I believe it.

Same here and this is actually depending on someones investment decisions because we do have different goals. Some people would really accumulate whatever the price would be

and some are minding that much in shorter scale that's why when they do saw the market is falling or in decline then they are worrying that much and the worst they do even panic sell.

For those who entered the peak then we don't have any choice but to hold up our positions and better to accumulate more since its still cheap.

No silence: It is time to buy, recapitalize or start over, it will be a shame when we leave this current price.

The "joy" on mode down bitcoin was very fast, this weekend recovers and begins to be in the range of $40K- $45K.

I've been holding since 2014 and do you think this small market turmoil can shake my real bitcoin confidence which has been built over these many years?
Holding means peace of mind if you time preference is the right one and you aren't here for a quick buck!

No choice but to hodl because I believe that bitcoin will only grow more in the future and if that time comes, I want to have a lot of holded bitcoin for maximum profit. This is not the time to be silent, be loud and preach to buy more now that the prices are really low. Don't listen to the FUD because the people who spread those are either pretentious bitter assholes or wannabe smarty pants that thinks that they know more than anyone else.

I still hold it for a while and buying more bitcoin, although my money is not too big to buying bitcoin.
I can still hold it for more, even if the price is back to the lower price because I believe the bitcoin price will increase again.
I see the chance to buy back Bitcoin at $30k-$36k but I hope the price will increase next month.
Hopefully, the price will not go down below $30k in the rest of this month and if the price increases slowly, I can be patient to wait for more.

I really LOVE these type of topics, like "ohh more dump to come!!" and all, then today suddenly bitcoin was already above 40k and it mat keep going up. Why do people always think that there is a big chance bitcoin will keep on falling after falling after falling. I mean its obvious that we are doing fine and its obvious that we are going to keep doing fine, that is just a fact because even after a fall the first thing bitcoin does is to recover and humiliated all the bear callers.

I am so happy that I bought a tiny bit during the fall, that made me feel a lot better, I bought some bnb as well and that turned out to be a great investment too. I am not saying bitcoin will never be low, we have seen it peak at 64k and right now it is like 38k or something so I understand that it did went down and it is doing not so great recently, but do not "expect" it to do bad, even if it does, expect it to do good because you will be right most of the time.

Only those who are dumber than weak hands will sell at a loss and will only push the bitcoin price down further, I personally will hold onto it firmly even though I am disappointed that my losses deepen.
and I would buy it if the bitcoin price was at the last dropping point and HODL.

and those who quickly jumped into conclusions regrets their actions, keep yourself away from negativity

It is very easy to hold for many people because they bought at a price so low that even the current price is very high and they are still getting profits, the only ones that are losing money are the ones that got in bitcoin this year and if we add their inexperience then it is going to be difficult for them to keep holding their coins, however even after the current crash I do not think the bull market is over, to me this is the whales toying with the price and getting cheap coins in the process.

One last hint from my side.
Try opening a bitcoin price chart and put it on log view (logarithmic), you'll be astonished by the fact that long term speaking the bitcoin rising trend is intact and going in line with previous waves. What does it mean for you? If you're here for the future then don't panic.

I would buy and hold when it goes back lower than $30K again.
BTC has always been unpredictable everytime we thinks that it would reach a designated price it has it's way to surprise us with a price decrease.

I guess you're fine my friend. As long as you're not selling anything at this current rate, you won't lose anything.
Just like what you say "it's temporary". Bitcoin won't be staying at the bottom forever. The market goes up and down. Nevertheless, this is a major retracement after a long bullish run since the late 4th quarter of 2020.
However, Btc seems to be bouncing back to $40,000 level everytime It falls near $30,000. That only means, there are still accumulation happening when majority has been dumping.

Absolutely crazy how quickly the market narrative can change, isn't it?

This reminds me of Ben Graham's sage words and his advice about Mr. Market. Each day a delusional lunatic Mr. Market comes over and gives you a quote on  BTCs. You have the choice to either sell, buy, or do nothing.

Why in the world would you decline this offer at $50k apiece just to sell at $30k? I've seen quite a few people especially on reddit forums do precisely this, and it makes absolutely no sense to me. The regular price updates should be an advantage of the investor, not a detriment. Buy the dips.

This is a very good advice, people most of the time only care about the price of bitcoin and nothing more and while I get that attitude that is also a dangerous thing to do, if we take a look at bitcoin in a logarithmic scale we are going to see that bitcoin is growing in a very discernible pattern to the point it could be even easy to more or less predict accurately the price that it is going to have at a certain point in time, so this is a good measure in order to avoid to feel panic and sell your coins at a bad time.

Honestly people who are freaking out are the ones who havent experienced on how this market works and they do thought that this is the end and having those impressions that
its all over when they do see their money is going negative without even realizing or thinking that this is just a normal stuff into this market on where
price could either go up or go down and its true that as long you dont sell out your coins then that wont really be considered to be lost since you can
still always have an option for you to hold until recovery would happen and make you break even but somehow the said time is unknown, so patience would be tested out.
