Post by: Thomasvd1337 on May 20, 2021, 04:52:11 PM
Hi guys,

Do you guys know if the exchange is the real thing?
Or is it fake and ready to steal your funds?

https://bitcurate.org/

I have found some things, but i'll leave my comments out first to see what you guys reactions are.
I would really appreciate your input.

Regards,

Thomas.

No online presence. I found a coin called Bitcurate, and some results about the bitcurate.com but nothing about the domain you're referring to. This should be a red flag. I wouldn't recommend using it.

Is there any reason why you want to use this site? There are plenty of reputable exchanges out there (Kucoin, Binance, etc..).

The domain is new and it was 4 weeks old domain what do you expect about this website?

Look at this info from Whois

Code:
Domain:bitcurate.org
Registrar:PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com
Registered On:2021-04-22
Expires On:2022-04-22
Updated On:2021-04-22

I don't think if this exchange is safe but for me, I can't find any reviews yet about this exchange and it's pretty new and doesn't have any physical location.
So, possible it's a scam exchange be careful.

I’ve been looking around for a while, but came back empty handed (besides the token mentioned above, and a company non-related to an Exchange).

The site was create a month ago, which means that, best-case scenario, it’s a big risk using a newly created Exchange, besides the fact that there is cero need to risk it with an unknow alleged Exchange.

It is a scam.

The site is a cookie cutter template website which I have seen many times before. There are a number of these templates which pop up frequently, spam themselves on social media, Telegram, Discord, etc., a bunch of newbies sign up and deposit coins, and when their hosting eventually bans them they just open up again under a new name. Here are just a number of exact clones under different names:

https://bybitok.com/
https://buckscrypt.com/
https://curybitex.com/
https://cryptusdt.com/
https://reobitex.com/
https://www.bitorge.com/
https://www.cryptobeex.com/
https://www.excryptrade.com/
https://xlmcap.com/
https://coinbor.com/

Any coins you send to this website will be stolen. If you have opened an account on this website, then that email address will likely be sold to a huge number of spammers and scammers. If you have reused the same password on this site as you have anywhere else, you need to change it immediately.

Thank you very much.

There is a new scam ongoing, people, contacting you, trying to be friends with you for a couple of days.
And then claiming they are from Nepal or any other banned crypto country.
They are not able to withdraw their funds and can only send it internally to another wallet on the same exchange.
They ask you if you can help them withdrawing the funds and sending it to their bank account after.
They send 0.6 BTC to you (fake) internally so it won't reflect on the blockchain and when you try to withdraw, the system asks 0.0075 BTC to verify your withdrawal wallet.

I want to thank all the guys for their research. And everyone be warned, this is another scam.
Do not try to pay BTC to this kind of exchange, you will never see your money again.

Again thank you for your research. And i hope other users are warned by this topic.

Every service which asks you to deposit coins to verify an account or before you will be allowed to withdraw is a scam. Period.

I would hold off on all these exchanges,,, why choose a new one when you have plenty of existing and reputable ones? I never get this. And worse case scenario in these countries you can still do p2p markets that are way safer with escrow.

Let them build trust and reputation first!

I've done this before and they almost got me by their trick, luckily ain't greedy enough to fooled by them.  This isn't new for me and any strange people who sent PM me on Telegram will always put on ignore especially those people who will ask for financial help or offer that you think something good but that's a trap.

Presumably, you received this message through Telegram, I'm right?

Always verify any website that you may encounter and how old are them, start to doubt if that's an unfamiliar website and I tend to agree above.  Be careful always those services that offer deposit first before you will able to withdraw fund and lucky enough you didn't fall into their trap.

That's actually always what they do on the first chat until they get you asking to invest in exchange for some bonuses(Their way to attract you to invest).
If you don't ask or research first of that site you can be a victim of their trick.

If you mostly hang out on telegram groups chatting related to any kind of issue related to your wallet or going to invest then expect a huge amount of fake users in your inbox trying to be friends or trying to be fake support until they get you and invest or give the wallet info.

Most of the scammer is Indian people promoting their service or promoting a phishing site. That's why it's recommended to ask it first here on the forum so that other people here will give you advice or analyze the website if the site is legit or a scam site.

~snip~

I think it would be better don't link them here you just helping them to improve their rankings in SERP. Linking them here on the forum will help them rank fast due to forum domain authority.
You can put those links in the "Insert code" to help our forum clean.
