Title: Find a middleman to help
Post by: zradishdp on June 08, 2021, 09:12:48 AM
I want to trade with reksal36
He agreed to sell 25 Adobe Creative Cloud products for 1 month
I'm looking for a middleman because it's my first time to trade in this forum and also my first time to trade with reksal36.
I will pay the money to the middleman, reksal36 will ship the products to me, I will receive the products, verify the quality, and the middleman can give the money to reksal36 after there is no problem.

I know there are few middlemen in the forum for digital products, but I still want to find someone who can help me, thanks.

Use bitify, in this case you can easily use it. Recommend ltc for better fees.

He'll ship the products? Are the adobe products physical goods? If so, you can check this list (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0). The topic hasn't been updated for some time, so make sure to read their ann threads before reaching out to these members.

Also, I would advise against online platforms (like the one suggested above) for escrowing because things could get messy very easily.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2062906.0 Contact bl4nkcode, he may be able to escrow this for you. I'm not sure what he will or will not escrow for users. Won't hurt you to send him a message and ask.

This doesn't guarantee a safe trade: what if you say there's a problem, but reksal36 denies it? The escrow won't be able to verify what was sent, so they can't know who's right or wrong.
And even if you get working digital keys, chances are they're bought with stolen creditcards, or some other problem emerges after a while.

My advice: just don't do it. This can go wrong in so many ways.

I was contacted with OP but before that he already sent the partial payment to the seller and want to continue with escrow but sadly and as expected, the seller never responded and totally run away with the funds.

So in that case, reksal36 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3284431) should be negative tagged and his thread Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps Keys 1 Year Bulk (14 pcs) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5331627.msg56818395#msg56818395) should be reported so that other people are saved from his scam.  :(

That's so stupid step taken by OP because if he had so much of an emergency (or even urgency), he should have either contacted other escrows too to see whom he may get quicker response from and if they're ready to escrow such a deal for him, or should have looked for better options rather than going for a seller whom he doesn't even know and was already suspicious about. This shows that enough maturity is needed in trading here and that people should take a lesson from this and shouldn't go ahead without an escrow for such deals.

I'll wait the op to reply first to answer some of my questions.

Common expensive mistakes (100$ funds was sent as what he said) by newbies I say.

If such mistake was to be made even after asking for help for an escrow here, I don't think we should consider him a newbie but an immature person who was in so much hurry that he'd lose on what he was expecting, so he tried to take a step ahead and bam! He's stuck now waiting forever. We never want such people to suffer but their own actions make them suffer.

The only good outcome from this incident is that you got the learning and in future you won't get scammed easily by anyone.

Also you didn't lose much money so that is also another positive thing otherwise i have seen people lost thousand of dollars over such scams.

So what happened? Your money was really taken away?
Explain the chronology and related evidence such as conversation history and proof of transfer (tx id) for reference. DT members will flag the scammer's account.

It might be better if you create a separate thread in the Scam Accusations board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) using this post format (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0)

My advice: just don't do it. This can go wrong in so many ways.

If we look at things that way, the whole Digital goods board is actually questionable, because everything that is sold there is many times cheaper than the regular price - so we can ask with certainty whether all licenses were acquired illegally. I personally have good experiences with buying digital products this way, but I am always aware of the risks that can result from this.

Agreed :D But that doesn't stop me from warning users. Too bad OP didn't listen :(
