Title: Beginner Questions on Bitcoin Post by: JesonMile on July 08, 2021, 06:40:40 AM I’m new to the Bitcoin industry. Got a couple of questions couldn’t get my answers from CME group.
Can Bitcoin be staked? Where do we do that? How is the Bitcoin priced? How is Bitcoin Futures priced? (I do understand it’s priced at premium, but any calculation to offer?) Can Bitcoins be traded in such a way that we may collect/pay swaps? Bitcoin is not proof of stake so no, you can't however, there are some services that let you "lock" your bitcoins (so they can lend it for instance) in exchange for passive income which is obviously not something you should be doing, since AFAIK, these services are custodial.
2. It's based on supply and demand. 3. I'll leave this question for someone more knowledgeable in this field. 4. What do you mean by that? Do you want an exchange where you could lock your bitcoin and then collect the fees from whoever is trading BTC/X_PAIR? Something like Uniswap? But there are third party or exchange services that allow staking your bitcoin and earn some coins upon certain duration. Prime example of this is Binance, I saw that they have bitcoin saving option that let you stake your coin for 7 days/14days/30days and 90 days.
