Title: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery?
Post by: Tumanggor on July 09, 2021, 06:18:15 AM
in the last few days, I see more and more people posting they won from the lottery which is in pancakeswap
what surprises me is this account that claims he won 37.583 $CAKE or the equivalent of $548 (sorry I saw it wrong before)

what do you think, have you tried?

Dude, there's a huge difference between 37.583 units and 37,583 units. Just notice the comma and fullstop. In the screenshot, I can see it is fullstop and not comma.

So that does not make it "thirty sever thousand and five eighty three" units of cake. Rather it is just a little more than 37 units of cake token.

Am I missing something? Or this is how Cake token is represented or have a German developer?

That's 37 CAKE = 548$.

Try to see the winning criteria of PancakeSwap Lottery, I don't really like "Lottery" is purely hoping on luck so the chance not really good. More prefer to do a regular gamble.

The screenshots you see here and there, most of the time they are fake. They do that to attract customers. Online casinos do that a lot too. Who is going to prove that the guy didn't win that amount? Nobody can. They can easily fake this and it is a dirty way to advertise your business.

It would be surprising really to give away 37,583 $CAKE for a lottery in crypto. Its a dot which means its just 37.xxx

I have won a lottery in crypto.games, its not hard to win such a game especially if you buy a lot of slots. The lottery in this casino is easy to play unike the others which they all have to match.  Tho old lottery in crypto is easier to play.

That lottery still big money for most people out there and it is hard to win the lottery because that is pure luck and only the lucky person can win.
Like that person, he really got lucky to win that money.
But we do not know if that is real or fake because he does not tell about his wallet or explain more.

I don't dare speculate on this but I still believe that pancakeswap is running an honest business and marketing...

I follow Pancake's official Twitter account since a few months ago and it's true that Pancakeswap often shares winners in their lottery, for example, this tweet https://twitter.com/PancakeSwap/status/1413199225031036930.

btw, I've tried 3 times to buy lottery tickets there but no luck at all, it needs extreme luck to win a cake there.

I've never seen a lottery bet win nearly $548k.
He said the meaning of 'Will risk this' is a broad meaning if you understand it.

Quote
#PancakeSwap and #CAKE are the future! Will stake these, and stack more cake!

He hasn't won in the lottery game, it's just that if he places more you misinterpret the win.

What he means: if he staked more CAKE maybe his dream would come true, but he doesn't.
Those are indeed the thoughts of every bettor, if, for example etc, at the time of winning the lottery $50-$100.

At first I was also surprised that player won lottery on pancakeswap worth $548k and then I realised it was only 37 cakes their token. But I personally don't have been fond of these lotteries and prefer to bet on real games which involves certain elements of plans and strategies and you play against house or real competitors but yes if you are willing to try your luck on them you can give it a shot who knows you also win that. And most probably they are not the fake wins to attract you as they are already into big business and many tweets could not be fake by random people's and by staking you could earn more reward.

That's why I hate LOTTERY, is hard to be win can't use any strategy more money more chance not guarantee you are wining. I more prefer regular gambling rather than lottery but went you want to test your luck freely to try.

6 number hit is a jackpot, so normally went you hit this the prize win is big.

^ You will never win in the lottery dude if you will always hate them.
You can try at least the amount that you can afford to lose, who knows, you have bought only 5 tickets and you got lucky to win the jackpot prize.
Nevertheless, on my side, I never win the lottery even online or in our local lottery, if this is not manipulated for sure you will have a chance to win but don't expect, because the chances of winning are a very tiny amount fraction over 100 percent.
However, that is not a jackpot I believe.

This looks more like a marketing strategy to get more people to use this exchange because with such a huge amount given by them for a small exchange, sorry am not buying this.

Talking of lottery tickets I have tried this several times on a different exchange and I can assure you that this isn't by any chance an easy game, but you don't win if you don't play so try your luck :)

No, I haven't even entered on crypto exchange lottery, so obviously I'm not going to win any. Again, this is based on pure luck, that good enough money to begin investing on crypto. I'm not against them, but there are people who doesn't like lottery, maybe they think it is rigged or something or the chances to win are really very slim. And in order to win, you need to have a lot of tickets/slots and you might spend money on it.

Yeah! it's simply based on some huge pure luck since the odds are too far away from the wins and this kind of game is scary because people will become addicted due to its easy play and small fees which will lead to most of the players will bet everyday. I rather choose to join their giveaways if ever they will have one and you only do some easy tasks to claim your reward. Doesn't matter if it is a big reward or a small the point is the assurance to get your payment for what you did.

@Tumanggor, you are joking, your over computed the winning.

Well, I haven't played in a lottery from a trading site yet because I have not seen one.
I use Binance, Kucoin, and even a small exchange but they have no lottery game.

Yobit has a dice game (not lottery) but I'm not into it as I don't trust it.

How I wish whoever won that lottery won hundreds in thousands but that's not the right amount just as what have been pointing out to you by the other posts.
It's a period not a comma so it's a centavo in value after the period.

Some games like Dice is available on yobit. I've tried those, and it has got only the over and under option. We cannot make a move on the bar. Specific lottery sites were available with cryptocurrency acceptance. Those platforms run on a basis of specific number of participants. Majority of these sites weren't trusted by the forum members. What has been mentioned in the op seems to be a bounty.

pancakeswap is one of the leading exchange now so i wont say that they are small .
they can afford to put a prize like that and the ticket buyer also contributes in the prize pool . they have lots of users and the prize could worth more than that .
their tickets are also cost expensive because it was priced at 1 cake per ticket and 1 cake is now worth $15.72

I've also seen a topic posted like this before and I also had the same thought. A friend of mine tried it and was unlucky in the end. However, there are actually lots of trusted lotteries and we only have to choose the legit ones. Not everyone could be lucky in the lottery but some people could gain something by trying.

Where did I say that PancakeSwap is not legit? I said, online casinos/exchanges do that a lot which is true. PancakeSwap might be legit. I don't know all about that. I haven't heard of that company before. Mine was just a warning.

Well, what would be wrong with the market strategy in this case? They have that feature and they are sharing the news about that feature (in this case lottery) on their official Twitter page!
The lottery is a lottery! It's the game of pure luck! Some people win, while many, many people just lose! I had the luck winning some lotteries, but with a small number of participants, and with a very low prize pool! Except on Bitdice and Freebitcoin, where you can earn lottery tickets by playing, I don't play the lottery on other places... of course, I am earning tickets, I am not buying them!

Indeed a lot of fake giveaways keep happening from time to time to lure gamblers into believing they can actually win lotteries. I often even wonder if the lottery winners are actually picked or pre-determined since there is no way to make the picking system fair. Although, I think if pancakeswap did a lottery and since it's just $548, it must be real.

Casinos fake a lot of giveaways and that is one topic I would love to discuss. I haven't taken part in many lotteries of late but the ones stake does are fair because Eddie does it live and uses google for picking the numbers. But that said, no one knows who owns how many tickets and if the tickets were actually earned .. it can be cheated. Not that I doubt stake or anyone but just stating facts.

Of course you can win in the crypto lottery, but you need to consider the chances of winning strongly depend on the total number of participants. The more participants, the lower the chances. I didn't participate in crypto lotteries, but I won a good sum in a regular lottery once. Lottery is a game for patient players, that's why I don't play it for a long time.

For lottery winning talks then its not that surprising on hitting that significant enough, im much aware with that pancakeswap lottery and same as yours im not that
a really fan on engaging with this type of gambling. Odds are almost close to impossible which i do rather engage into something which is more worth of my time
and of course you would be also enjoying while you do play.

I play only at Freebitco.in's lottery. For me it's a good one as it's not necessary to spend anything to participate. I just roll the faucet button every hour and receive free lottery tickets, besides tickets from referrals progression on the site and from wheel of fortune spins.
Of course it's really hard to win because there are thousands or maybe millions of users actively trying to win as well, but like many people on this forum have already noticed, winners don't necessarily need to hold too many tickets to be the chosen ones. It's possible to win even with few dozens of tickets, so I keep hoping I will hit a nice prize on that lottery someday.

Yes.

But, due the chance winning pretty low don't hope to much cause everyone or maybe 70-90% people is hoping to win the prize at least get back of his money. In, case for pancake swap we don't need to match all number, 3-4 number already enough to get a profit. Off course, don't really have high expectation about lottery ~XD

I have never played or won in a crypto exchange lottery. Didn't even know they existed. So how does this lottery thing work? Is it like if you use the exchange you will be included on the next draw? Then there will hundred thousands on entries and you have to be very very lucky to be the winner. Like you have a very slim chance of winning. I guess those who are sharing they won, are the really lucky ones. Nonetheless, it doesn't cost you anything to enter, so it doesn't matter if you don't win. But if you win, you would rather hope that your were lucky somewhere else  :P .

I know about this website, it is quite famous for free faucet and some gambling activities as well as lottery promotions but after a process of joining and combining with some experience of quite professional people, we need to know a few tricks to roll and some strategies to redeem more lucky lottery tickets, it can be called some exploitable holes of the game. Cannot exploit natural vulnerabilities and can only call for help from pure luck, I assure you that luck will not fall on our heads, winning a prize is also a strategic sequence

I do play on local and online but I didn’t win any amount of money, lottery is one of the hardest thing to win on gambling, very rare to see a winners everyday. Anyway, to OP you misunderstood the real value of that lottery win but it’s not a big deal though, a win is still a win and the real question is, how much money the winner spend before he won on that lottery?

playing lottery is something that easily makes people very frustrated, imagine spending years playing the lottery, always losing and one day some newbie buys a ticket and wins... it makes anyone frustrated. I personally never won the lottery, I stopped playing because I always lost, I realized it would bring me frustration. And there's one more thing, I saw several people who made a lot of money in the lottery and became poor in a short time, it was a shocking thing, I even thought they were people who were paid by the lottery organizers, but after a while I realized they were the real winners who were poor after earning a lot of money

Well, for how many years I do play the lottery even in the crypto exchange lottery or in any local lottery --but the sad thing, until now I did not win even though it took for how many years that I keep buying and purchasing tickets. Until now I am still hoping that one day I will win the jackpot prize in the lottery and take my first vacation off the country.
But did you know that most crypto gambling lotteries did not exist or let say most of them, the reason is no one has an interest in continuing to gamble on this game because the chances of winning are very slim, even perhaps you will have own hundreds of tickets per draw but still the chances will consider as small.

There were a few crypto exchange lotteries that I participated in, some of them no longer operational since they weren't able to keep up with the industry's standards. I never really won anything on lotteries but it's really a good side bonus on using the platform. Say, you can rack up tickets or entries by trading X amount of crypto or $ in a day which you can use to join in the lottery. It could be a way to attract potential traders in to the platform to at least target something from their trading ventures aside from what they're already doing.

what surprises me is this account that claims he won 37.583 $CAKE or the equivalent of $548 (sorry I saw it wrong before)

what do you think, have you tried?

Good question. Today, I've got 3 spins in Binance 4th Anniversary. Two of them was typical "Thanks" from CZ, and the last one was close to hit NFT, but resulted in 800 TRX. Of course, i would prefer NFT to 800 TRX, but anyway, it's also good result  ;D

But this happened to me for the first time.

Nope, haven't tried this. I am not interested either, although I am not saying this is fake. This is most probably true. The platform is a popular one and has many users. It is not a big deal for them to conduct lotteries with relatively low prizes. Plus the ticket is quite expensive at 1 CAKE.

Anyway, I am not really a fan of lotteries in general. It is hard to win in them. The prize may be worth it but the chance of winning is very low. I'd rather play dice than spend money on lotteries.

Yes, you are right. Lottery attracts many people to try their luck and they will try to spend more money to join.
But lottery can make us spend the money without counting how much money we already used.
Being the winners of that Pancakeswap is unpredictable for that guy, and I think he can enjoy the win money.
I see he have a plan to stake some of that token to have a passive income. Well, that is good for him. At least, he knows what he wants to do with the win money.

OP might be confused but this is the real winning on Lottery nevertheless, that's still a good money for lottery.
I'm not into lottery as well but I've tried playing this before but I didn't win any money from there so I also stop playing it and goes back to the traditional gambling. The odds of winning in lottery is very low, you must the lucky guy before you won some people place a lot of money and yet they didn't win at all.
Same here, I don't like to buy tickets for a lottery contest because it's like betting on unrealistic odds. I don't mind if I am entering the lottery doing small tasks like there are often giveaways/airdrops where you just need to enter your address. I just don't want to spend money to buy lottery tickets.

I don't think rigging is a problem because just like dice and other games, lotteries can be organized in a provably fair manner such that the results are picked using some kind of algorithm. I feel the real reason behind so many people hating the lottery is because the chances of winning a lottery are low and obviously only a handful of people will walk out as winners.

This would be hard to convince but with pictorial evidence I think he truely won that. I haven't been this lucky although I play seldomly with very little coin to risk. I haven't gambled with a huge fortune before maybe that's why my luck isn't forth shinning but have heard of a few winnings from close friends but lot as large as this

Because the chances of winning in the lottery are very small, I also very rarely participate in the lottery. I, like you, prefer other gambling games
to participating in the lottery, but I'm not saying the lottery is bad. It's just that I'm not really interested, so congratulations to the winners of
the lottery held by Pancakeswap. Because being a lottery winner is a happy thing, no matter how big the prize is, it's still a proud thing to be
a lottery winner.

this lottery in pancake is legit. if you try to buy 1 ticket, as of now the price is about 0.34 cake. and this round, it says the prize pot is worth $39009, and it still increases, depending maybe on the number of people who will buy their tickets. so the one who posted in twitter may have got that number of cake during that round he participated in. but i do agree, winning in lottery is very rare. not lucky on this kind of game as well.

just to give an idea how many cake you will get about your matching numbers -

pancakeswap is one of the leading exchange now so i wont say that they are small .
they can afford to put a prize like that and the ticket buyer also contributes in the prize pool . they have lots of users and the prize could worth more than that .
their tickets are also cost expensive because it was priced at 1 cake per ticket and 1 cake is now worth $15.72

I am not aware that Pancake has lottery features but with that kind of price I don't think I can join the lottery and with so many pancake traders it's hard to win on the lottery $549 prize for a $15 is still good if they have winners displaying and they are promoting their winners they can attract more traders who are into the lottery, I hope some of the DEX where I'm actively trading will do something like this.

There will always people who will play in a lottery that is why it's a big attraction for casinos and now on exchanges, this is one of the reasons why Pancake is big right now, they not only attract traders but lottery bettors as well but $15 for one ticket alone is quite big I prefer to bet in our lottery where you can only bet for only $0.50 for a chance to win millions.

Maybe your chance of winning is high in this pancake lottery system because the number of buyers are not that big. Whereas if the amount of lottery ticket is cheap, the number of people who can afford is many that your winning chance becomes very very slim. Anyway, it all depends on the user. If pancake is doing this regularly, then, it means, they are attracting lottery ticket buyers. And the prize is quite attractive.

what do you think, have you tried?

I have no luck in a real lottery so I have never tried testing my luck on lotteries on an online platform. People that try their luck in an online lottery can only be their spare amount of money. I don't think there is someone that will spend a lot of money on the lottery despite the huge prize because it takes one in a million chance to win plus there is no enjoyment betting on those games. People that win in this game are very lucky and most often they are not even a gambler.

I am fully aware of that lottery but not looking at it because of the price of the ticket, I prefer to bet that amount on a dice where I have a better chance, the price is not that huge, compared when you are betting offline where you get to win millions at a cheaper ticket, but it's a good attraction for lottery lovers.

I have not played any crypto lottery before since I have played a number of other lotteries and as it turns out they are not so "profitable". Plus the saying of "you have more chances of getting hit by the lightning ⚡ as compared to winning the lottery" seems right to me, since most lotteries these days are very competitive. At the same time there are so many people. The random generator or whatever these guys use to enlist the winners just doesn't work for me. Therefore instead of playing lotteries I would rather save that money and buy something for the long term. But take no offence, I know I am not lucky but that is not the case with everyone else around here. Maybe someone might win, who knows ?

This is also what I know. I have not seen a crypto lottery which gives a larger jackpot amount than offline lotteries. But it is understandable because offline lotteries have much high numbers of participants. But winning is about millions in USD. Crypto lotteries have very limited participants that's why the jackpot is also smaller. And what's even sad is that crypto lottery tickets are more expensive than offline lottery tickets. But the winning probability in offline lotteries is lower than in crypto lotteries.

Been gambling in the lottery, in and outside online gambling for several years but luck never reached me. I understand though as that was part of the risk and besides, there's always a statement "who knows". That bad luck won't stop me to bet on the lottery. :)

Congratulations to that guy who won the lottery on Pancakeswap. Not that much but not bad for a $15 per slot. We never know how much the user spends the whole time participating in the lottery. So lucky if the user only has a few attempts.

Well, it looks legit enough. I took a peek at their Twitter threads plus a random bunch of search results and it seems like it's true enough, just that, the chances of winning are quite abysmal, just like how lotteries are usually anw. You can see that only quite a few players actually share them winning big amounts, and most people even share them winning only 0.5 or less even if they entered and used a pretty big amount of tickets.

This is also what I know. I have not seen a crypto lottery which gives a larger jackpot amount than offline lotteries. I don't think winning probability changes much even if there were a lot of players that joined in? It's a matching of numbers after all, so it's entirely up to you. Even if there were a million people or only a single person that entered, the odds would still remain the same and only the price pool would change as you said.

The attraction of the lottery is extraordinary, even people who previously refused to be vaccinated, but after knowing that they can get a lottery
ticket that person can change his mind and want to be injected with a vaccine. Even though the chances of being a lottery winner are very small,
but many people are willing to spend a lot of money to buy lottery tickets. They are obsessed with big rewards, and hope for luck. Indeed,
there is nothing wrong with this, as long as the money used to buy lottery tickets is the extra money we have. If the lottery winner can make good
use of the rewards he gets, it needs to be appreciated, because most lottery winners will spend the rewards earned for consumptive things.

I don't see much difference in gambling (the background is the same everywhere - mathematics), so I rarely try something new. I have enough poker, dice and roulette to have fun when I want to. The only option when I try something new (maybe it will be a lottery) is some kind of promotions/bonuses.

The price of each ticket is approximately $5 which is expensive and not affordable plus the chances to win is also by luck. The reason why im hesitating to try because I know to myself that im not lucky on lottery game. Just like other lottery, if you want to maximize your chance to win, buying more tickets has an edge compared to others who buy less.

The prize jackpot is attractive and keep on increasing if no one hits it, indeed a good marketing strategy for those who use pancakeswap.

I've tried playing on Bitvest before and as far I remember I won some money and that's the only site I played for and my favorite is the KENO game which I also play here in our local, this is so easy to understand and the result is fast as well. The odds on winning in lottery is very low, this is why you should not focus on this so you wont get addicted, better to gamble where you can have at least 30% chance of winning.

I've played lotteries so many times before but not on crypto exchanges since the ones that I use doesn't offer any options to gamble and even if they do i'd probably avoid it. Don't get me wrong I still like lotteries but whenever I feel like gambling, the experience is always better on casinos.

Most people that play the lottery already know their chances of winning is close to none but they still do it since some lotteries have different ways of winning.

We have the same experience. But sometimes, I buy lottery by online join with my friend, just for fun and not expecting about winning on that. I know it will need luck to win but if that is for fun and join with a friend, that will be cool.

But I am thinking about how if we buy one ticket and win for a product, that is part of the lottery? Because we never know who the winner is.

I've played it before but never got any chance to win even at the slightest amount than you can think. I just got a false hope that when I bet on it but didn't found any luck. With even small amounts of win, this is giving you that hope and at the same time pleasure because unlike any others, if you've won the lottery, it's quite satisfying even the amount would only small just as the image that you've posted OP. So if anyone has ever got the chance to win in the lottery, you're definitely one of the luckiest because unlike me and the others, we have never won any amount from it.

That Pancakeswap winner is lucky as hitting a lottery there is really difficult providing how many participants joined on it.

Sure someday, I will also experience the same. :)

When it comes to transparency then that would always be an issue because we dont know if those winners are really legit ones or just been part of the team just to hype up everything.

I dont expect much on winning lottery because we know the odds that is almost close to impossible. If someone able to hit then they are hell of a lucky guy/woman.

Its up to someone if they are really having fun on betting on lottery but be sure to be aware of the odds and dont spend up too much on tickets.

I won a decent amount from the freebitco.in faucet, if you could call that an exchange.

Most actual centralised exchanges won't ever offer anything remotely close to a gambling game. If they did, their licenses would probably be revoked and regulators would shut them overnight.

You'll only see these games with very bad odds generally floating around either decentralised exchanges or unregulated pseudo-exchanges like freebitco.in. Usually, they're not worth playing or entering if there is a monetary buy in. If it's free to enter then it's a separate issue.

We do really get jealous or envy into those winners but we cant do much about it since they've been extremely luck on hitting the lottery. When it comes to transparency then it would be always on question
but here on my country where state lottery is really done on live draws which means it is totally fair and square even with the weight of those balls to be chosen could really be said to be equal
which its a must thing for people to know but for online lotteries or like that then i cant really just trust it up easily on choosing up winners since you wouldnt know if those
winners are just part of the team or something like that.

But honestly, if I were to win on crypto gambling I think everyone would know what reaction I'd be doing since that was the first time I won the game. :D

I don't know if lottery in real life is kind of worth it or just the same as crypto lottery but still if the odds is way too much then there's no difference from it in crypto lottery. It's all luck-based games and I suck when playing at it.

Yeah, the truth.
Luck may become the first reason for this.
And it may be also influenced by the chance that we have. Sometimes, we can have more lottery tickets, and probably, more tickets will have more chances. But once more, it doesn't guarantee the winning  :D

Sometimes, an online lottery will use the wheel of fortune, but still also debatable whether it may be also set or not.

Pancakeswap started those lotteries just a few weeks after their official and it has been around for a while. There's no way to verify the randomness except believing the words of the developers. At the end of the day, one thing about lottery still remains the same and that's the fact that it's based on luck and anyone can win ~ but only if it's truly random.

I have only one lottery from a gambling site. It wasn't that big of an amount but it was something. That was years ago and since I've participated in 100s of lotteries with no luck. I wonder how these guys get so lucky.

If luck permits him, one ticket is more enough to win the jackpot, compare to your hundred or thousand of tickets but if luck is not on you then there's nothing for you  ;D ::)

I also see that point coming from the post you quoted, the chance that this is just for promotional purposes and the person who win is just part of the team, that's very possible.

He is thinking about winning at some time, but not too deeply because it hurts to anticipate to win. We buy lottery tickets to see if we have a chance of winning, but there are more chances of winning in the crypto lottery because, unlike the lottery in a physical store, where you have a little chance of winning, in crypto there are only a few participants, so your chances are bigger. I tried before buying tickets, but I wasn't expecting to win; I simply wanted to see how it felt, and the result was that I didn't.

That's 37 CAKE = 548$.

Try to see the winning criteria of PancakeSwap Lottery, I don't really like "Lottery" is purely hoping on luck so the chance not really good. More prefer to do a regular gamble.

Regular gambling will require luck as well but indeed we can pick any changes that suit us while with lottery it'll have a very very low chance to win it. It's like playing at 1m multiplier on dice or boom game. I rarely participate on lottery things as well and prefer to play regular gambling like dice. I can pick any win of chances with dice. Started with the lower ones and if got lucky will continue it with the higher multipliers.

Low chances to win is one of the main reason why I rarely bet on lottery since for me its like wasting your money for something impossible to come, although its quite fun sometimes to wait for the results but I can't really take long to bet in this category. Also I also rarely play dice since its boring game for me and most of the time I prefer card games or other type of  skill based game or sportsbook since its more exciting in my own view. Although its good to see people winning on lottery but I think the chance that it will  happen to us is extremely rare.

They may be not as lucky as they seem at the end of the day. I once participated in giveaways of a certain company, but the principle is the same as lotteries - luck, the winners were chosen randomly. And then I saw this person that has won 2 times in one month.

I was just curious, so I wrote that person, I congratulated him and said that he must be very lucky, and I've never won anything from gives, even though I participated more than 20 times already. To that, he replied that these were his 2 only wins and he's been participating every day for the past 2 years!

My point is, you only see one side of the coin: someone wins, and you assume he/she is lucky. But the fact is, that person may have tried to win for years, so they might be no luckier than you are :D

is 90% determining lottery?
I really don't know because I never win for lottery  :D
not 90 because if its 90 the winners will always be those that have less tickets . that wont make sense to buy more tickets because we will only waste money and lotteries are a business and the only way they can make money is thru selling tickets.
you never tried winning in a lottery not even once ? how come.
maybe you are not betting continously and not buying enough tickets to increase your chances of winning.

what surprises me is this account that claims he won 37.583 $CAKE or the equivalent of $548 (sorry I saw it wrong before)

what do you think, have you tried?

I remember when ONE was listed on Binance Launchpad, I participated and own around 50k ONE on lottery for trading more volume on it. A nice platform designed in Binance first then other good exchanges followed it I suppose. Recently I own few WRX from Wazirx exchange for just trading SHIB INU on lottery. You would certainly be in profit if you choose the right coin.

There are many lotteries event some offers free tickets at first by just signing or registering though don't expect to have winnings. I don't won in exchange lotteries but in some lottery game I was able to still get some winnings not grand winners but just some minimal amount that can also be use again to continue playing. Being as to win in exchange lottery also depends on how lucky we are.

Of course lotteries would really always rely with luck that you do have because there are no other factors that could affect your winning rate aside on purchasing more tickets but for

getting those free tickets then no one would really be expecting to win out of those things but its a personal point of view because each person is different towards that.

I can't remember if I played, but I have a feeling I played this game before because I love to explore. But, I'm sure I have not won a lottery yet in any crypto gambling platforms, maybe my time will come in the future, I'm hoping it will. The lottery could give us a lot of winning, but according to experts who made a study, we are just throwing our money in the toilet bowl every time we bet, so I would just choose a game that I will enjoy and try to bet on high odds if you know what I'm saying.

thats okay if you win small because that are still a winning and atleast you can bet again for free and you will have another chance to snatch the grand prize.
i too experience it ( winning two to three numbers)  and the prize is the same as the price of one ticket.
signing up and claiming free tickets on some lottery sites is a good way to save money and testing our luck.

The screenshots you see here and there, most of the time they are fake. They do that to attract customers. Online casinos do that a lot too. Who is going to prove that the guy didn't win that amount? Nobody can. They can easily fake this and it is a dirty way to advertise your business.

Seems that way.

A lot of phising links do this, if you accidentally mistype their original domain into a similar one which is the phising site that use this kind of trick to convince people they win but will ask you to deposit a certain amount of money in a certain address to claim your rewards, that's why if you're not going to be careful because you've been carried away by your emotions, no doubt you'll just lose your money on those kind of schemes.

I guess that still wins, no matter if it is small, because it is hard to win in gambling games. It needs more effort to win at one round and that will be more difficult to win more in the next rounds. So we need to realize that and remember that we might not be lucky in the next rounds. But as we know, winning the lottery is a bit hard because that game will need the luck to win, and only some people who really have luck can win.

At current I am not into any crypto lottery like things but 2 years back I have tried some lotteries but was not Lucky enough to gain good profits for them but one or two times I was able to cover my price so I leave it there onwards and start playing on some serious gameplay and casino games like poker, dice and slot games which could give me better results and profits so at this time only that line is for me not any lottery schemes attract me.

At this time my take on playing these lotteries is something I do not find attractive anymore. The prizes are not as competitive as they used to be and with more and more new players wanting to try new things out, I do not find it worth while anymore. Not that I managed to win any lotteries ;)

Try it sometime because you never know if it's really a fun one to do. I mean the odds are really low but that doesn't mean that you don't have to play it just for fun. Don't worry about winning too much.

I am also not so much into lotteries. It doesn't matter if they are online crypto or the traditional state run lotteries. The chances are just too slim to really win something. Winning the lottery is life changing but it's more likely to get hit by a lightning then winning the lottery. The only time I really play the lottery is there is a new high jackpot and all my friends are playing. Its just the peer pressure, the worst would be to see my friends win the lottery and I wasn't part of the ticket.

 ;D oh that is fun!
By the way, this is a funny paradox - usually the owners of big wins are not very responsible and smart people because smart and responsible people cannot afford to make such stupid spending (as you wrote, catching lightning is much more likely than winning the lottery) and as a result, the winnings go to someone who is naive or simply irresponsible.

Well, the fact that they are playing lottery means that they are irresponsible with their money and their life overall, although there are some smart people that can get the win which ends up with them having their lives changed permanently.

If I have played in a Crypto lottery, but the truth has never been lucky, where I always play is at freebitco.in, but until now since 2017 I have always bought tickets and have not won anything, maybe it is because there are many players who buy lots of coupons and I don't buy many, just a few.

Currently in my country there is a certain fashion, they are raffling everything, the cars do not sell, they raffle them and leave everything to chance, a house is also raffled and apparently this leaves much more money than selling the asset to a single person . If the lottery were done by Blockchain I think it would be much more legal because there are times that the prizes do not fall on the numbers of the players.

Many of us did the same thing, not once or twice, like a lot of times in the last +5 years, and as I see around, many of us didn't win the Freebitcoin lottery, even funnier, most of us never were in the first 10! And it's not like we didn't try!
Probably too many people, with too many tickets... I hope I will hit it at least once... it's why I don't buy tickets for the lottery anymore! Now I participate if I can win some tickets, Bitdice have something similar, and there are different competitions from time to time in other places... but it's not my goal, I just play what I like, and if I get some tickets for some lottery, even better!

It seem that those who win the lottery in large number are not smart people, but those who are lucky to win it because the lottery is not a game that requires you to have a special strategy. If you are a consistent person, maybe one day you too can win a jackpot if you are willing to buy the same numbers for the rest of your life. I'm sure you've heard of an old couple who won a huge jackpot on the lottery and I believe if a person practice like that all his life then jackpot in lottery become possible for him.

some are lucky to have just installed the lottery once and won it, but there are also people who have played the lottery for decades and new won it. The point is don't immediately assume the lottery is a hoax when you've only installed it 3 times because who knows maybe next year you'll win it.

Honestly when I think of a "lottery" it's usually associated with huge prizes in comparison to the entry ticket, albeit the odds are usually heavily against you. This seems more akin to a much cheaper raffle type game and the whole thing is probably just astroturfing. It's very possible that people posting these sort of prizes have never won a single penny, but are using this type of fake advertising to draw in players who will basically be throwing their money away or building a cut which will be taken by the game owner. Just remember there is very little in terms of verification for such twitter postings but great monetary incentives can be offered to people with large groups of followers and you will never be able to tell if it is genuine. Stay far away from such adverts.

$548 that's quite high reward.
However, I will comment on the nomenclature itself.
Before, exchanges were just doing airdrops or contests. However, due to the fact that the amounts were negligible, and in fact it was only dust, people stopped being interested in it at all. Now the name 'lottery' has been invented for the same reason, so to create a community.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but in my opinion it's still a waste of time.

I haven't played the lottery at exchanges either but I have been lucky enough to win some small ones here locally maybe because they don't have too many participants hence I have a more realistic chance of winning a lottery locally than online.

A lot of exchanges/websites might be even showing fake winners because there is just no way to verify the winners and names are random and they might be their own employees.

The few lucky people who win these lotteries are actually the benefactor of so many others losing and hence it's near impossible to expect a win from lotteries, it's more like you buy a ticket and just forget about it because you cannot actually expect to win with a single ticket or even a few tickets.

I don't actively take part in lotteries but whenever I play, I consider it as if I just burned a few bucks for nothing and even don't check the lottery result because if I win I would know about it somehow and well, I haven't won yet.

Lotteries are probably the highest volatility games in entire gambling history.

This is the paradox - lottery participants are selected in such a way that the winner is most likely an irresponsible and carefree person. But if we take not the total number of participants and the prize (on average, all participants lose) but only the winners, it turns out that the victory is won not by the most, let's say, worthy people.

It's luck and it would not have happened if you are not actively trading on Pancake and participating in the lottery it's actually a good promotion to entice traders to use Pancake swap more and make them their primary DEX, other DEX should follow their leads, many traders like a lottery, it's a good attraction.
Yes, that luck will come to the right person and I guess he is not expecting to be the winner of the lottery. That happens many times with different people, but Pancake really surprises their traders and rewards them for that such winning. But to be the next winner in the other lottery will not be easy as we will compete with many others who want the same thing. Maybe we do not have to think about winning in the lottery to be the winner of that lottery someday.

Agreed, regards winning the lottery - What if no one took the winning number in the lottery on the online lottery in crypto.
Personally, I've never played any lottery - Mostly Dice, recently sports betting and that's all, But I had the opportunity of participating in the lottery in the past which I didn't take because of thought (To stay away from gambling) but see even after having that thought I ended up with Dice, funny.

For many of us, it's commonly known that those lottery games in exchanges are not fair and a total waste of time. Until i read this topic, this was my view point as well. I didn't expect people to make a lot of money from unexpected sources. Who wanna join an exchange to play lottery !?
It was so far in late 2017 when i was first introduced to altcoin field and to Yobit as my first exchange registration ever. i remember i was estonished by the lottery option available for free in addition to few other games (Dice...). My first earnings in online lottery ever . :D

In regards with the topic then I haven't experienced on winning lottery and also I do have experience on betting on some lotteries in the past but have lost my interest because we do know

the odds of lottery is almost close to impossible but there are still people who do love on playing lotteries despite of the odds of winning. So its a personal choice.

Never because never tried it either, I don't know if I have any chance of winning or not if I try. I'm just assuming it takes luck but I don't think I have the chance. Yes indeed, maybe it only takes a little money to enter but I am worried, if I am too ambitious then I will routinely spend money to be able to have a chance to win the lottery, so until now I have never tried my luck in the lottery.

I guess, a lot of gamblers here are joining the freebitco lottery because aside from their free lottery tickets from the faucet, you can buy the ticket at 1 sat/ticket. So that's very cheap actually. But sadly, never won on this lottery thing yet.

I think there would be a lot of people joining since there are free tickets so why not try your luck from it. I think i won a crypto lottery way back few years ago thats because only few people joined because it is just newly released website and only few people know but that is just small amount but still i won
If that is free tickets, that will takes attention from people to join in that lottery because they can expect to have luck and win the lottery. But it is hard to win in any lottery, crypto or fiat or even product, as that will depend on how your luck will come to you at the right time. But if the number of participants is not many, you can increase your chance to be the winner and get some prizes from that lottery. Maybe your numbers can come out in the winning names.

I have never won because i have never played a crypto lottery, i am personally not so much in on lotteries. Formerly i have heard of persons who won the traditional lotteries, but at the moment in this stage as the world is economically and otherwise with most persons an organisations trying to make more money than they give out, i see most promises to win some money from an online platform either through lotteries or bonuses as crypto or traditional fiat as empty promises to lure users to their platform to generate traffic.

I agree with you, when they are free tickets the possibilities decrease greatly, however, like everyone I have always played on freebitco.in but I have not had good luck there, I really do better when they are the presentations on twitch by other platforms For example, when they do the Stake.com live presentations with Eddie I usually have much more luck there, I have won fractions of cryptocurrencies, there if I have more possibility, I am also participating in a much smaller population than many lotteries, yes you participate with fewer people your probabilities increase, that's what you have to look for.

Indeed, there is no compulsion to play the lottery, everyone does have a different taste in gambling games. But I suggest you to try it, because
we will never know to what extent your luck has. As long as you can control yourself not to get addicted to the lottery, I think there's nothing wrong
with trying to play the lottery. If you have good luck, then you can earn money in an easy way.

in the last few days, I see more and more people posting they won from the lottery which is in pancakeswap
what surprises me is this account that claims he won 37.583 $CAKE or the equivalent of $548 (sorry I saw it wrong before)

what do you think, have you tried?

Personally, it's not worth the time for me and never played on it. I want to make some pure profits and can looks some odds like regular gambling rather than wasting it on a lottery and just base it on my luck. Anyways, I'm not lucky on chance games or some lottery games that's why I keep myself away from it because otherwise it'll end me losing time and precious money.

Based on the screenshot you posted, that dude is one of a kind lucky guy. Hopefully it is not fake or scam.

Wow,  if this is for real, then it's huge, I use pancakeswap several times everyday for transactions, but I've never come across any ad telling about them having a lottery or anything similar, or is there something am missing?
I will probably do some research concerning this to see how it's been played and what the criteria is/are, am guessing participants must have to hold some cake.. Right?

Since I entered the crypto lottery somehow I was not given a chance to win even though. it bores me. Because this character is more about luck, waiting for him to come out and mention the lottery number that we are holding is annoying. But for what the OP is getting is amazing with $CAKE the current price of course it's worth it.

I’m also wondering now why DEX have their own Lottery, I thought it only works for the Gambling site. Well, this maybe about the lottery type of investment where you need to hold more CAKE to qualify?

If its a real lottery like the usual, then it could be a good one and maybe I can try as well since I have some CAKE and this might be worth it especially if you just bet small. Winning the lottery though is still one in a million, its very rare and the probability is low so don’t expect that much in lottery.

This to me feels more like a raffle with such a low prize involved. I expect lotteries to pay out prizes worth substantially more than the ticket amount, but I'm definitely always skeptical about anyone who claims to win from such sites - more often than not it is usually the owner or someone the owner has paid in order to get more people involved. It is more likely that this is fake with how easy it is to pull such a scam online these days and it is hard to get solid evidence that it is ever real. Be very wary of trusting these sort of posts, if you really want to get involved with lotteries then you are better off sticking with one that is local to you or run by a large organization that you can trust much more.

Majority would be bored on this type of game because odds of winning is almost close to impossible but talking about probable winnings then you could really say that it is life changing but you know the odds

thats why people should really be aware on how this game is played and the chances for you to win so that you wouldnt really be ending up that kind of behavior of betting too much or buying lots of tickets

and believe that you could make a good hit.For those people who had able to win lottery then they are considered to be extremely lucky.

Nope, never.

I started with Dice on a popular website but stopped a few years back and a few months back I was doing Sports betting but that's also stopped.
I remember I used a free bet on the lottery on a website but never actually on an exchange.

Also, have you seen ApeSwap, Last time I checked they introduced something similar to lottery.

The topic s just two months old. Why should i consider it as an old topic? By the way, who told you that bumping old threads is against forum rules? you are a veteran member now and you should know about this since long before. No it shouldn't be out of forum rules, but it's always recommended to start a new thread treating your topic anctead of bumping an old thread whch may not fit your matches .

Yes, I've played plenty of times.

There's quite a lot of platforms that offer this, honestly. I personally play the most of freebitco.in.

Not a big fan given that house edge has always been pretty high and the games are just way too slow for my liking.

Most common issue on lotteries is that results are way too long for you to know which not all would really be that patient on waiting up for that particular result which do really ending up on being a boring game aside on winning odds that you could get from lotteries.Me too i had test out lots of lotteries but im not really been putting much money when it comes to tickets because i do know the odds of winning
but there are some people whom do find these kind of games to be that interesting and still continuing to deal up but well its their money then its their choice on what
games they do like to play.

The average chance of hitting the jackpot is 1 in a million tickets from the tickets we have and obviously the chances of winning are very slim and also very unlikely to win, because it is just a dream to win big money without doing anything.
and for me the lottery is a boring game of pure luck and only played a few times and after that not anymore, and in my opinion having a lot of tickets doesn't guarantee to win unless you buy a lot of tickets in a few spins and even though winning will be worth the previously spent capital.

Even so, purchasing a large number of tickets does not guarantee that you will win. It is truly based on luck, and if you are fortunate enough to purchase only one ticket and win the jackpot, you are the luckiest person on the planet. As for me, I'm not particularly lucky, but I have friends who are, and they win almost three times a month, albeit for small amounts in the lottery, which makes me wonder why I haven't won in this game while my friends have, and I believe it is due to luck.

There's no guarantee even you have lots of tickets, a single one can win if luck permits the holder.

We see lots of stories around that a lucky gambler wins and changes his life, a very enticing but yet when you try yours and unable
to have the same outcome, time will come and you'll find it as boring and you will just move away from it.

Most of the time, those who continue to play are people who hope that one day luck will be there for them and they are willing
to spend money on the ticket that will possibly change everything for them.

Pretty normal tbh, the more people join the lottery the bigger the prize to accommodate the number of people who actually joined. If it didn't increase heck Pancakeswap would probably have some explaining to do imo.

Even so, purchasing a large number of tickets does not guarantee that you will win. But it does increase the chances though. Just that the increase is absurdly minimal that I hardly think it would actually be worth it to buy more than one ticket. Really, if you're going for a situation where you want to increase your chances, there'd only be a single choice and that is to buy as much as you can. Buying 2 or 3 more wouldn't significantly increase your chances, so your better off just buying a single one then. Go big or go home kinda thing.

I do not have my luck in freebitco.in. Even I got the free ticket sent in my email. Maybe we need to search for smaller participants to join the lottery so our chances will be bigger to win that and who knows, we can also hit the jackpot. But what I get so far by participating in many lotteries, online or offline, I can not win that as I think that is because my luck did not come to me. But it is fun to participate in the lottery and so far, I only buy the ticket or getting by free and leave it without thinking or expect to be the winner. Sometimes, when we are not expecting anything, we can win that lottery as luck can come to us.

The prize now is bigger now compared to those previous drawings of the lottery, people are buying tickets to participate in the lottery this is Pancakeswap biggest attraction, I don't think I will participate, it's hard to win in a lottery and I don't have luck in lotteries.
I do not want to participate there because I think that will depend on how big money we will use to buy the tickets. A small player like me will not have a chance to win because I can not buy a large number of tickets.

Exactly. I don't see the point?

The problem with all of these lotteries is that they simply don't provide any thrill to gambling which makes them pretty mundane when it comes to entertainment value, and also they usually provide crappy RTP.

Each to their own I guess. Never played on any myself.

Yes, but I believe it is not worth it to purchase a large number of tickets because it needs a large sum of money. I haven't seen many people buy a lot of tickets, and I believe it's a lot more expensive to buy them. I believe that sticking to one ticket is the best option, but it is still up to the person. If he wants to buy ten more tickets, that is fine, but for me, I believe that one or three is sufficient and that luck will take care of the rest. I am still unlucky in lotteries, which is why I do not participate in them.

Those who had a got a chance to won from a lottery of crypto exchange was such a lucky person because in my case honestly I haven't encountered any chance of getting involve in any lottery like what a pancake have had last time. I only think that capturing video is necessary when you're live streaming, vlogging, trying to prove something and etc, but if you just play for fun without having thoughts of posting it online then there's no way you can record those, so screenshot is enough to share the winning.

If your friend hold those 1 btc until now, s/he would be more happy seeing his winning accumulating more profits.

But then I saw people falling for Ponzi schemes that offered around 1000% return on monthly basis and I couldn't believe it, If it was 100% then it's still believed able but over 1000%.

I also remember falling for a Ponzi scheme back in 2016, I was quite new at the time to all that but my loss was around 3 BTC investing in them, at the time it was around 800$.

Cant really blame out this kind of view or impressions whenever you do have on lottery specially online but they are really verifiable specially if its a blockchain based or even showed up on real draws but
we cant really tell if those are legit bettors or just simply they are legit.I wont blame if people would really be having this kind of view but not really all would really be that shady though.
Im not really a fan playing lotter due to small chance of winning and also its result is way too long.

I don't believe in all these screenshots there fakes and I trust more on videos, I have seen a good number of people who have won the lottery I have a friend who won 1 Bitcoin a couple of months ago.
I only think that capturing video is necessary when you're live streaming, vlogging, trying to prove something and etc, but if you just play for fun without having thoughts of posting it online then there's no way you can record those, so screenshot is enough to share the winning.

If your friend hold those 1 btc until now, s/he would be more happy seeing his winning accumulating more profits.

of course any image can be faked using photoshop but sometimes it's possible to verify lottery results on-chain
I usually prefer provably fair methods of doing giveaways, lotteries and stuff like that

It's weirder when people use those faked screenshots and send that to your Email in order to get you to play on a particular website.

I've seen similar photoshopped images on ads that randomly pop up when I surf some websites that embed these ads.

Yes, I've played plenty of times.

There's quite a lot of platforms that offer this, honestly. I personally play the most of freebitco.in.

Not a big fan given that house edge has always been pretty high and the games are just way too slow for my liking.

Exactly. I don't see the point?

The problem with all of these lotteries is that they simply don't provide any thrill to gambling which makes them pretty mundane when it comes to entertainment value, and also they usually provide crappy RTP.

Each to their own I guess. Never played on any myself.
Probably, they are hoping for a bigger reward using their small money and in lottery you just have to be lucky to win the prize.

This is not exciting of course since its pure digital and you can't know the result right away compare to the slots games or other games. I haven't tried to play lottery in crypto exchange though I have bets before on crypto gambling site which offers the same thing, freebitco.in is my option as well.
Each person likes what they like, I will agree that lotteries do not seem like the most exciting game you can play with your money, but many people that like that kind of game are attracted by the huge wins they can accumulate if they are lucky enough to win.

In the rest of the games you can find in a casino the action is way more constant and the games more entertaining, but the potential profit you could have a chance of getting is very small and while that is fine for many gamblers this is probably a deal breaker for those that prefer lotteries.

I have only seen a winner in the American lottery but have not seen anyone won all the online lottery around as most of the promotions and announcements of winners may be based on false and in most cases doctored picture and videos. I can only believe in lottery when I can verify the prize winner with physical evidence.
^ There must be a reason why they don't disclose to anyone if they have won from the lottery online using crypto. It is very simple just because of the privacy and the reason they hide their identity. Even if you will win the jackpot in your local loterry, they will never disclose your identity or even mentioning your name not unless if you want exposure. The problem with the lottery is the chances of winning are very small then if you know how to verify the result of the crypto lottery, there could be a true winner.

It would be just dumb that you would really be making out some exposure after you have won some jackpot in lottery because this would for sure put you in danger because there would be lots who would go after you

since your identity had already been exposed thats why it is just too dumb for you to have this kind of decision and thats why it isnt surprising that there are lots of instances that winners could be known.

When it comes to fairness then we could somewhat able to verify things out but not all the time because there are instances where lotteries were rigged.

you are right about online lotteries but if its one in the real world this is not always possible
but probably safety of those who win will vary a lot from country to country
still something important to pay attention to and be alert

You just have to be careful most scam are always presented with genuine evidence and you might not know when you fall for it. For me I haven't won in a lottery game before I haven't been that lucky. Your image at op could be genuine but the fact remains you just have to be smart enough not to trust just anything you see online without thorough confirmation from the site

This should have been announced on social media because the official ones always get with it, but about my OP just now that there is a lottery on pancakeswap,, I just realized it now.

I've also never won a lottery like this, but I'm always investigating if there's something wrong, I'll also find out how to tell the difference, but I don't know about the OP's true origin.

Now we do have to be smart enough because fraud is smarter than us from any way including in the gambling lottery.

BTW, have you been looking for information about this on several other leading websites?
Even sometimes several Jackpot winners are also announced in Gambling or Casino media.
In this case, there are many platforms that have given victory against their players related to lottery and other victories.
Try visiting various famous platforms at the Gambling Board. But I am personally not sure if the winners want to expose themselves to the public because many of them prefer anonymous

When you do deal with something then its just understandable that you would really be finding up ways for you to verify things up before you do deposit money for you to play on at least you could assure
that you would get paid in case you had hit the jackpot and well just like what others been saying that odds on winning or hitting lottery is small and thats what makes this game very boring.
Aside from low odds of winning then you would also need to wait up for long before you would able to know the results or outcome of the said draw.

That's your choice if you finally choose not to trust the lottery on an exchange platform, because everyone does have one their respective considerations.
But in my opinion as long as the exchanges are not a problem as long as we use them for trading, and also the exchanges have a good reputation,
they should be fair when it comes to lottery. Because I have never won a lottery either on an exchange platform or on a gambling platform,  I will not
accuse there of cheating that occurs on the platform that I use. I better think positively that my luck hasn't come yet. But I agree that we must be smart
and careful in choosing platforms to play the lottery.

I just read this post about Pancakeswap lottery on Reddit there are some doubts about how this lottery is being run and the other of this post is right in his observation

Quote
To put this into perspective these grand prize winners are sometimes winning CAKE that is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, but there isn't even one guy who boasted about this online somewhere? Not one screenshot? Not one pic of a wallet balance with thousands of CAKE in it after winning?

PancakeSwap Lottery is EXTREMELY Suspicious (https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/myymvw/pancakeswap_lottery_is_extremely_suspicious/)

There's also a possibility that those guys who won prefer not to post for fear that people will ask for confirmation and transaction id because we are in Cryptocurrency which is centralized and anonymous, especially when we are dealing with a Decentralized exchange.

It's already a common response that if we received such notification about winnings, we will verify it. Our common sense will automatically work in action. I believed we are not in the generation today where people are easily blinded by those winning notifications. There are lots of ways now to determine if the winnings are genuine like what OP shared. It's a lucky hit that someone won a lottery on an exchange platform.

Maybe if the winner comes out, the casino will contact personally to that winner by email and the winners need to verify the email by visiting his account. Usually, if the prize is auto-added in the winner account, the winner can see his balance increase. So the winner can directly withdraw the winning money to the other wallet. Besides that, the casino will announce the winner on their front page to see who the winner is.

To win in a lottery, you need to have a lot of luck and unfortunately i don't posses that luck. I have tried lotteries few times but did not got any luck and therefore i do not invest and play in lotteries anymore.
Lottery may change your fortune if you're lucky.

Well it is true though, Lotteries are designed in a way that even if you tried to maximize the chances and bought as many tickets as you could, there'd still be a chance for you to lose AND even if you won, the profit would be quite negligible. Just look at history, if lotteries were profitable in the first place, rich people would be swarming every lottery there is and would try to buy as many tickets as they can. At that point, you can expect the prize pool to be sky high since there's a lot of people involved.

I don't have experience winning from a crypto exchange lottery because that is too difficult for me and it will cost huge money to buy a lot of tickets. Besides that, winning from that lottery needs to compete with other people who also want to win the prizes so they can use more money to buy more tickets and that will be more difficult for us to win. The luck factor will be important here because the winner must have the luck to win. Otherwise, he will lose the money to buy the ticket.

Well, I haven't played in a lottery from a trading site yet because I have not seen one.
I use Binance, Kucoin, and even a small exchange but they have no lottery game.

Kucoin currently has a special lottery feature, "LuckyRaffling" (https://www.kucoin.com/land/kcs-game/one-coin-web/home?lang=en_US). They have various prize values in each round. Based on their tweet (https://twitter.com/kucoincom/status/1400794281808261123) it was launched last June 4th. Even though it's just a light bet but it seems interesting to try.

For app users, this page can be found in the Quick access menu > Kucoin Win.

That's for sure.

Lottery is the most difficult game in the whole gambling industry in my opinion because of too many random numbers that could be generated in just one roll, and you need a lot, like a lot of tickets in order to hit the jackpot, that is if you're lucky, because a thousand ticket is not even qualify as a winning piece because we're talking about millions of chances for you to hit up something big.

It's addicting because the price is tempting and very entertaining to do.

You don't have to buy as many tickets as you can. You can buy a few from time to time if you really want to win the lottery. But the twist here is that you'll never know when exactly your ticket is going to win and this is a real game of luck. Buying a lot of tickets is likely gaining your chance but what's the percentage? you'll not even get a pinch of an increased percentage of chance because the distributors don't even have an idea if they've got the winning combination in the past until they're allowed to broadcast it.

Yes, it could be a tiny fraction of the percentage that you have in place a bet on the lottery, but have you noticed that most winners have place their selective number continuously for a long term. It seems like buying the same number of tickets every day until it will become an exact result. I have a friend who did this and it works after how many years.

I know about those players that have been consistently betting the same numbers all over the years. And that's what it means that there's no way to know when they're exactly winning with those numbers and that's how they're testing their luck. Good for those that have won after betting it for years. But there are also those bettors that have missed betting even just for once and their number showed up. I've heard the same stories from friends of my friends that have been in that situation.

We read stories about those people who keep same combinations and managed to win after 10 or 20  long years.

The time frame might be so long, but if you got that chance to win, especially if it's a real lottery gamble where you can managed
to win millions of dollars that luck will probably change your life.

But in most cases, it's always a chance basis or a luck base gamble where even you have lots of tickets, there's still no guarantee
that you will win the draw.

These is absolutely true .!
You could always keep trying with diverse tickets and sometimes, the numbers you fail to include will now turn out the winning numbers and i keep asking myself; is it that this numbers are changed afterwards your games have been staked?
It makes lottery sometimes boring though because most peeps play with the mindset of hitting the jackpot and when it doesn't come(gets more difficult than expected) its scares them.

I've seen many people winning the lottery with few tickets if compared to another competitors who had a lot more. So I think you shouldn't worry about having less tickets than someone else, because among so many competitors you will still have decent chances like anyone of them.

When playing the lottery it seems many tickets don't mean too much, as it ends being expensive to purchase them, while the tickets sum of all other participants will be always massively superior to yours. It's purely a game of luck and I suppose one of the hardest games to manipulate the final fate through long or short run strategies.

When you have the option of buying more in one round or buying less in many rounds then the latter would be my choice.
Buying more lottery tickets definitely increased our chances for that particular round but if we don't win it then that is it.
On the other hand buying lesser tickets but for many rounds gives us a small % of winning chance multiple times.
That's still a good choice since we would at least be able to get a chance in every round.

As for now i didn't even experience having a lottery into an exchange because mostly they are just giving some drops of different altcoins we called the airdrop and those things handle with a contest or event even binance have this kind of feature or event to their users which is good to become more active on their platform also such as the coin investment like staking they are rewarding their users on it. I guess that win because of the ticket made by the users to have a higher chance to win.

Your friend is too lucky for winning 1 Bitcoin. There are really lots of legit lotteries these days but we can't deny the fact that there are also lots of existing fake lotteries to deceive people. It's also hard to trust even videos of it because some are just being paid for promotion.

Those who had a got a chance to won from a lottery of crypto exchange was such a lucky person because in my case honestly I haven't encountered any chance of getting involve in any lottery like what a pancake have had last time. Well, on the other hand I do also have a doubts when it comes to these kind of activities aside from the fact that there are many scams or existing sites to deceive people I am also a one of the unlucky person when it comes to lottery.

Like you is the case with me, however when I saw statistics in college, one of the things I learned was that people who play the lottery should never stop doing it, because at some point in time they will have to win, and in those lotteries where the prizes are very large, usually if one person wins it, that same person has a better chance of winning the same lottery again, of course this is something questionable, there are books that tell you how to win the lottery if it is won the complete history of it, as far as this assumption is concerned is not bad, play all the time, maybe hit the luck and win.

You are right, the minimal opportunity also cannot be used as a big hope to increase lottery tickets. I just ordered 5 to 10 just to test my luck. In addition, we still have gambling that is much more routine to punch and to be used as a means of entertainment. While waiting we have saved in the lottery so don't expect too much.

in the last few days, I see more and more people posting they won from the lottery which is in pancakeswap
what surprises me is this account that claims he won 37.583 $CAKE or the equivalent of $548 (sorry I saw it wrong before)

what do you think, have you tried?

I did not play any lottery on any exchange site. That means I did not win any buks from lottery lol. So pankackeswap is giving away 548$ worth of cake? Nice job by them. Btw still this is open can I try now also? Or how it works actually?

Last time I missed the Uniswap giveaway. So this time I want to try if there is still any room of winning the lottery.

Privacy is one of the most essential needs of the people and most of those who won a lottery in real life will prefer to stay private without making it public. I have heard a few people who have won the lottery but in a small amount, but If you talk of online lottery then quite a good number of users on this forum have won some good amount in various currencies.

How many people who won the lotteries have posted here that they have really won a crytpo exchange lottery ? If some one tell here that he has won the lottery, his privacy remains intact because bitcointalk does not collect anyone's personal data and you cannot trace the person physically.

Winning a lottery is not an illegal thing and hence its not something to hide either.  :)

For sure there are people who won lotteries but no one would intently share it out on public and its just normal that you would definitely not able to do so just for the sake of your security but here on this market then

it isnt really that much of a concern since everything is anonymous where you could share up if you wanted to but people do stick out on things that had been a traditional where sharing up publicly would

have corresponding risk and it is much better to keep quiet and wont tell anybody on what you had won. When it comes to typical lotteries then it doesnt matter because odds would really be just the same.

Odds of winning are not that great but you could really still see people who do loves to play despite of that slim winning chance. Why? they do know that they could really changed up their lives in terms of financial aspect and that what makes them dedicative or being motivated on betting with lotteries and also the amounts arent really that great or big for you to be concern off but basing with daily basis then it would become a big amount and you arent aware with that but well its their money to spent then they do have the full rights on how they would gonna handle that and its not our business to make though.

This only applies where gambling is legal.

I've never used crypto to try to bet on the lottery, but I did in other games like slots, dice and sports betting too. I used to really like fiat based lotteries but privacy is really not safe and I have forgotten about the game until now. I'm not yet interested in using crypto for the lottery, but might give it a try.

Even lottery is the most difficult game, most people will think that lottery can be an exciting gambling game because they only need to buy many tickets which are not too expensive to buy and wait for a while until the winning number comes out. A thousand tickets will not give anything even to be the closest one from the winning unless you have big luck.

Most people think that if they buy as many tickets, that can increase their chance to win. But if you only buy a few tickets constantly, you can be the winner if you have luck. This game needs big luck to be the winner and unfortunately, only a few people have that luck and win the games.

Sometimes, I only think that I want to test my luck by buying some tickets as you say but the chance to win will not be too big and the result after that is to lose that money. But as I know that playing the lottery will not give me the chance to hit the jackpot or even the prize, I do not think too much about that and only buy the ticket because I want to have fun on the lottery.

Didn't expect that this kind of exchange is now supporting with a lottery feature because mostly I used the kucoin for exchanging my coins into this platform as for recently I saw with the binance but I didn't come up and experience to be part of this kind of event. What kind of rules to have this kind of ticket to be part of the event? Like you need to invite or to invest into a specific coin?. First time i saw they support this kind of event.

The thing is.... any Lottery has to have some verification system to determine and prove that the winners are drawn from a legitimate algorithm and not hand picked by the people hosting these Lotteries.

I have yet to see one Lottery system that has a "fool proof" system that verify the actual winners, apart from the one that are hosted by Freebitco.in

Most of these systems are used for cheap advertisements and people fall for this crap.  ::)

I only played a few times crypto lotteries and never won anything. Maybe I am not a lucky guy when it comes to lotteries or I just didn't play long enough. For me normal lotteries and crypto lotteries are the same, I didn't win with either of them. We all know that the chances of winning are very small but somehow my brain keeps telling to try atleast because this time I am going to win. In the end its just day dreaming. Another thing I don't like so much about lotteries is that the winning probability is so abstract. When playing dice or roulette we instantly know what our chances of winning are. And with casino games we can easily stop when making a profit, whereas with lotteries it is just a win or lose situation.

Exactly.

However people still wants to play it because of entertainment and false hope. People want an easy money given by their luck but mostly the luck that is needed to win the jackpot requires a lot of time before it is gonna happen to someone. The longer the time they spend trying, the more money they'll spent on it hoping to get what they want.

People won't either believe those two things (the truth and the lie) on gambling industry. The more important to them is that they'll win it no matter what.

Does it need to be a kind of lottery that has big prizes in it or nah? I've won my fair share if I do say so myself, sometimes it's a local lottery on the server's I am at (Discord), but I've never really won something big enough to consider me a winner in life kind of thing.

Exactly.

I guess that's just how it works tbh. It's actually not that weird tbh, most people who bet on lotteries to actually "win" something are those on the lower end since they're hoping they could get something to turn their life around. Actually kind of pitiful really, even with how civilization has advanced so much, people still rely on luck to turn their lives around.

The experience of other who win the lottery what makes them hope that they will win the same as them to but in reality its so hard to win on in this kind of game. But for sure whatever it takes as long as there's a huge pot waiting for a winner for sure many will try their chance to bet since many hope to snatch the jackpot. But they shouldn't get hook since if they bet more than what they can afford to lose as the old saying says then its a disastrous action made by them since this one could turn to worse if they lose all their money.

What is the point in lotterys anyway? At least with gambling games its fun to play and gives you a satisfaction from winning. If pancakeswap wanted to show people how serious they are why don't they make the prizes a bit higher?

I also notice the popularity of Pancakeswap not only by exchanging tokens or coins but with this kind of gambling game as well, and I think I might try that on Pancakeswap when I can get extra money on earning with crypto, but I have remembered that I once won a sum of money with lottery crypto back on 2018 I can not remember the site because I only used it 3 times, because I am not that very lucky with luck-based gambling games, that was the boom of Airdrop tokens and crypto gambling if I remember it correctly, I have won a total of $190 USD only and it was my first time getting that kind of amount instantly, and because of that greediness nature back then all of it had ended up into nothing, so my advice, if you have won some amount just think and relax fight if you would want to gamble again or not.

Pancakeswap does have currently.

https://pancakeswap.finance/prediction
https://pancakeswap.finance/lottery

which this makes this platform a bit interesting rather than focusing on being an instant exchange or swap.
Talking about basic or casual lotteries then odds would really be just the same when in talks of winning.

That is true. Many of the gambling websites hosting the lottery rounds are fake and probably choose a winner without and provably fair algorithm.
Just when you said you haven't seen any fool proof system I was going to say about freebitco.in when I read you already mentioned it.
freebitco.in is indeed one of the best gambling sites with the best lottery system and betting prediction models.

I have been won once in the lottery but not on crypto a few years ago and until now it won't happen again even I bought tickets every day.
There is nothing wrong if you believe in false hope, your luck never tell you that they will come on that day, it is better to buy a ticket and hoping that you will win rather than hoping that you will hit jackpot but the fact, you did not even purchase a single ticket.

In freebitco.in a casino, I tried my luck there and until now I am doing the same purchase ticket even I did not win but who knows someday I will be the one. It is a small percentage of winning but doesn't mind it after placing a bet.

Correct. Buying more tickets is generally increasing the chance of winning but on the other hand, if luck hits us, a few tickets can also be won that's why it's not necessary to buy more. Just a matter of pure luck. Those who got lucky at these lotteries are chosen ones. It even has a high chance to be struck by lightning compare to winning in the lottery lol.

Are you sure about this? Are referring only about the place what OP had mentioned or in general. I am regularly rolling on one famous crypto site and I getting regularly around 100 lottery tickets for last 4 to 5 years still never got chances to win anything. So, probably you are right with respect to most places.

It is going to be very difficult that this can be combated any other way than with KYC, and casinos know that if they go hard on people about that topic there is a significant risk that people leave and go to another casino as they do not want to deal with those kind of restrictions as most of the time that was the reason they were gambling with cryptocurrencies to begin with, so as you can see even if casinos want to correct the situation this is not something they can actually do.

Just for an ad that attracts lots of lottery buyers? It's clear what they did with a much bigger profit with the prizes they put out for one lottery winner. Even before the announcement of the winner, the lottery manager already pocketed a sizable profit. Plus the even number of winning lottery numbers from his own team. Then to trigger other users they pass one or two among the participants.

I haven't tried to participate on that before since I was thinking that it was just a waste of time if I participate on a lottery since the chance of winning is less than 1% however some people still considered joining since one reason is it is free and you don't have nothing to lose. I'm happy for all the users that won in this kind of lottery that was an easy money.

It depends on the amount of ticket you are holding to determine your percentage of winning. Its not 1% chance always because some lottery has different mechanics especially on crypto lottery, I know a lottery(moonpot) that choose winners that enter the pot without any combination of numbers on there ticket which is different on the usual lottery type game.

Whales on Moonpot always secure a 20% to 30% chance of winning by just staking there tokens on Liquidity Pool of moonpot.

Its hard to find  fool proof lottery. Some online sites can give random winners which may not exists in reality and no one can challenge them because no data is publicly available. This is another reason why i do not take part in lotteries stuff.

Lets talk about odds.In literal lotteries then its 1 in 13,983,816 Source (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lottery_mathematics#:~:text=If%20the%20six%20numbers%20on,happening%20is%201%20in%2013%2C983%2C816.)

Odds on winning on blockchain based lotteries then it is somewhat higher but still not really that appealing because it wont be called a lottery if chances of winning is high.
Prize pot is high then its just typical on having that properties.

I even tried freebitcoin's lottery by investing BTC0.002 (200k lotteries + few more for my wagering and free rolls) a few weeks ago but that too did not bring me anything. I have understood that it depends on luck as lotteries are also gambling, but with affordable money where you can just keep your hopes high.

I have won some rolling challenges because in the sites i am rolling they give out lottery but then there are counts for the amount of money waged and in that aspect i have won some but you cannot call the lottery as i am yet to win a legit lottery in that aspect. I have seen some huge wins but yet to see someone claiming to win the lottery in my experience in cryptocurrency gambling sites.

have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery?

Yes, i won a lottery from ApeSwap finance Decentralized exchange. I won 110 BANANA. When I got BANANA it was priced at $0.9 / BANANA but after a while it pumped a lot and I earned $800. It was my first time winning any lottery so I was very happy.

So you will not call it a lottery when a player wins BTC0.1 and even more by having just 153 tickets through his wagering? It happens each week at freebitcoin. At pancakeswap, I have seen that the number of players is less due to Pancakeswap asking for a lottery purchase. I consider you as lucky because you have at least won some lotteries.

That is the major advantage here. When you win a lottery in crypto, you don't just win a lottery worth that value but if you hodl your winnings, you can make it large.

Yes, I understand, since 2017 I have tried to try my luck in freebitco.in in their lottery and I have not received anything yet, I have always been a frequent player, now something regular, and I have sometimes had profits playing in the multiplier, but As for very large lotteries I have not had luck, my luck has been better in smaller draws, such as being in the live presentations of stake.com, where you can win fractions of BTC or other altcoins, of course the way Winning is different because it is through twitch and it is much more dynamic.

Whenever there are new sites that do exist specially lottery based then they do really give out those free tickets and same as yours on where i do really tend to participate at least and getting some free tickets

and might able to pull up some winnings even though it wont really be big but at least you are getting something on something that you do get for free.

We know the chances or odds on hitting some wins on lottery but once you do able to hit then you are aware on how much prize you could get which is really on more multipliers compared to your
bet.

lottery is  the hardest place to win in gambling world, you can easily win in Dice or Slots ( in which both are luck bases games) than lottery that only gives once in a hundred million chances to win.

I only bet in lottery in Real life because this has been my routine since college as my grandmother let me bet for her for long .

Your belief may lead you into much more deeper losses if you are unlucky so better to prevent from deeper losses by limiting yourself in lottery. Do it for fun only to spend your unused money and do not hope too much, because if you believe that one day you will win it, it will make you spend more than what you prepared for it.

I tried to buy some lotteries at pancakeswap and it was not limited to one but many, still my bad luck that I never got a single win out of them.

Lottery is a very luck based game, wherein millions of random combinations could be generated every rolls they'll make to determine the winner is, that's why the price pool are always getting bigger and bigger first before someone could win it because of what I've mentioned. There's only 1 person who is lucky enough to win that jackpot price in just a first try or maybe in his most unexpected moment.

Buying many tickets doesn't guarantee you anything, because winning in a lottery is like waiting for a shooting star to hit you.

You can do it with your spare money since its lottery types for crypto exchange that OP was asking, though you can also try it local lottery and take your bet when you can use some fund that you can let go, remember your chance is really small. It's more on luck that will allow you to take a huge amount of money if you got the winning combinations.

I understand that in real lotteries there are people who keep on betting; they do believe that one day if luck allows them to win everything will be changed.

It's been shared here about a retire person who keeps betting with the same combinations in the period of 20 years, more or less.

I don't want to try my luck from the lottery which is hard to come by. believe me up to 10 times you try not necessarily can get what you want, it's better to trade or gamble than hoping for big luck to come that will never happen.

Indeed in this, It is not the volume of tickets you bought to win instead it is the Luck that will allow you to take the jackpot .
because imagine how millions of combinations to make before hitting that set of numbers in which even if computer generated that will give no assurance whom to win.

My Uncle has been buying ticket since His teenage years now that he has in 60's yet never get to have a chance winning even the 5th lucky highest winner lol.

Nah! My luck isn’t so good that it can win lottery for me. This is why i usually  don't buy those & don't participate myself in any lottery contest. But it isn’t bad if they offering you free try! but now most of the time new websites give those fake littery content or announcement themself winner for show off and draw People consideration. so should be careful berfore buy tickets

You should refrain or stop on bumping out old threads because it is against on forum rules so that you wont really be facing up some problems later on.

On topic reply then playing about lottery is common but odds we do know is really close to impossible thats why i dont bother myself on playing or making bets with it
because no matter what i do see its having no chance on hitting that jackpot.

Play and make out bets but dont anticipate nor hope that much that you would able to hit those numbers.
Always consider the odds and make yourself realize.
