Title: Are there any contests for predicting the price of coins?
Post by: bizfyn_ru on July 19, 2021, 06:49:33 PM
Hey traders.
I think that such a thing should exist in the world of cryptocurrencies.
I am quite good at analyzing the prices of cryptocurrencies and would like to try myself in this. I don't want to make any investments in this, I don't want to give my money away, I just want to have fun. If I also win something at the same time, it would be just super cool!
Do you have any thoughts?
Have you heard of this?

There are some contest before I remember though its not always open but you can wait and explore some thread if there’s another competition with regards to price prediction.

You can try Rollbit for trading prediction and earn some money at the same time, though of course it’s gambling so you need to have at least a small fund but if you’re confident about price prediction then this could be a good opportunity for you.

I would also recommend Rollbit trading game prediction.
https://i.ibb.co/CKWSjxj/IMG-20210720-041951.jpg[/url]
This will really challenge your prediction analysis skills.
And it's easier because you're just betting whether the price goes up and down.

However, there are actually a prediction contest that's been going on
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5346118.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5346118.0)
But with a lot of competition, you'll probably have a little chance to win it all lol.
This is a game contest in this community from a well established member, and it's too bad one of the requirements
Is you need to have atleast earned 250 merits.
-to participate you must HAVE 250 EARNED MERIT and at least 100 ACTIVITY

But you can always check this guy every now and then he usually held a prediction contest.

In the Speculation section, I've seen some competition about the price prediction of bitcoin. I just don't know if there are still some that are remaining.
There probably are some exchanges that have this type of contest and with what I've seen before, it happens for those new exchanges that are starting to gather more traders on their platform.
You need to take some time looking for them and for the list of exchanges, you can check the coinmarketcap list.

If you do love to hang out with those co-fellow forum members in terms of predicting prices then WO thread is considerable https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.0

If you are really good on predicting prices then it would be more worth if you do at least consider on taking some real bets and that might be worth for your time.
There are links given above which you can really join up and try your luck or well as your analysis but expect that there would be similar people
like you who would take a shot.

I guess in one way or the other you must have heard about  $near, one the most successful projects so far and also the trending blockchain, a team in it's ecosystem (merchants of near) is hosting a trading competition whereby the best analyst goes home with 100 $near, that's the reward for the winner. So the best prediction takes the award, you might be the lucky one if you are a good technical analyst, so i would suggest you go try your luck. Good luck man and for more info follow the link below

Yeah, this is a trading competition.
One of the most reputable exchanges is Bybit that organizing trading competitions before, as far as I remember there are a lot of traders joining that competition and organized by Bybit. And I think Bitfinex too already has this kind of competition, so if you want to join next time, much better if you keep updated with them, especially on their social media accounts, or subscribe to their newsletters.

You can now predict the price of next week here to show your strength.
In addition, to buy a small amount future on the exchange.

Exchanges usually have these contests, there were several of them in the past which I have joined but have not won actually. The exchange that did it posted some winners which the list is very suspicious.

If you are good at it, I'd probably try testing the binary option or the futures market instead because that will make you more money than going to contests.

Guessing contests are generally held by non-company people (without promotional purposes) because this is just a light contest with a small prize, you can find some on Twitter with the keyword "guess price contest" or something like that.

There probably are some exchanges that have this type of contest and with what I've seen before, it happens for those new exchanges that are starting to gather more traders on their platform.
You need to take some time looking for them and for the list of exchanges, you can check the coinmarketcap list.
Unfortunately, Exchanges launch more trading contests especially when they are just listing new coins instead of guessing prices contest which have less impact on their platform.

What you are looking for is called gambling so only the gambling sites offer such "contests". There are a couple of them that you can find if you ask it in the gambling board but the one I am aware of is the freebitco.in website which has a lot of different predictions under their contest section.

I am quite good at analyzing the prices of cryptocurrencies
If you actually are any good then you should start trading not gambling. When you bet 1BTC that price goes to $X and it doesn't go there, you will lose the whole 1BTC and there is nothing you can do about it but if you start trading and the price doesn't go to $X you still can take a small loss and get most of your money out like 0.99BTC and only lose 0.01.

There are things like that in the cryptocurrency community. You can predict the price of coins and when it’s correct you win a reward. You should check out Coinmarketcap.com, the website for checking the prices of coins. When you visit the website you will see a page for price predictions. There is an ongoing airdrop for predicting the price of Bitcoin that’s ending July 30th.

There are also others where you can create a portfolio and win USDT airdrops, and also win USDT by submitting your watch list. So there are already things like that in the cryptocurrency community, and they have been going on for a long time. Check them out and try your luck.

I don't think there is a contest about any price. I think the price predictions are made by professional traders themselves and it may not be accurate. so the price prediction contest is very irrelevant in my opinion

Maybe he is looking for some type of betting exchange like betller.io - https://betller.io/, it is a pvp betting site for bitcoin's price. So if he is good in predicting prices as he was claiming, this will be a good way for him to earn money.

There could be such contest organised by any company or individual to predict the prices at certain point of time and boom win the money if you are close to it.There were such competition like in WO thread summer dip competition but it is over now and you were to predict the prices for Dec month and have a chance to win but there were some restrictions on participation. You need to be active and have a look for such contest but most probably if you are good at prediction then have technical and fundamental analysis and start investing small amounts also and turn them into big ones with your skills.

There’s is this contest by the merchants of NEAR guild on NEAR protocol which you can win 100 NEAR (almost $200 if you win) All you have to do is fill out the form and the person with the closest price prediction on July 31st wins the prize. It took me around 2 minutes to do, so it could potentially be the easiest money of your life! If you are looking for price prediction competitions I definitely recommend this one. The prediction is always (on average) correct when it is not accompanied by fear, so you find someone good at predicting prices, but when he puts his money in a particular investment, his ability to predict begins to weaken because of fear, we all fear losing money

If that prediction is based on some analysis or logic, you can share your thoughts here or ----> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0.
But if it's not based on anything but your feelings, I don't think anyone will care.

It's not that easy to see such, cause most times you'lI only see exchanges doing trading competitions which still involves using your own money, but since you said you don't want to lose your money, a few days ago I came across a contest on dropsearn about predicting the future price of Near and getting a reward for it, I think you can look it up yourself here : https://medium.com/nearprotocol/july-price-prediction-contest-c1376705984d, they are giving away 100 $Near to the winner that's like ~200.

Because for sure you can make good income from it. Infact all traders wants to become good when analysing the graph and making prediction in order to have good profits .. So don't waste your time and much better to grab those opportunities in my opinion.

It's free and you need to visit regularly the Games and Rounds board since that's where he posts his contests. It's too random here so you better visit the boards even everyday here so you won't miss out.

The weird thing is, OP talks about how he is good at predicting the price of crypto and there should be some competition on it so that he could make money on it.... yet he doesn't want to give his money away by trading it?? Like what? What is he even talking about? Dude if you are good at predicting then you will trade for real and make money, if you are not good at predicting then you should not even be worried about competition at all because you are not good anyway? Either you are good enough that you could trade for real, or you are not good so competition on predicting should not be something good for you at all. That is just how it works.

I personally did played a "game" where they give you fake money but you trade on real prices and I have been good at it, in the top 100 of 9000 or so entries, but I do not think that you can be like that without actually trusting your real investments neither.

I am not sure if there is a platform to know all the ongoing contests but there are always some going on in different places.

There are some contests like that going in the speculation section but most of them are free without any prize and good to test your abilities. You may also find some from time to time in the games and rounds section which have a decent prize on offer.

By the way, there are betting sites too where you can place bets on such events like "will the price of BTC reach XX by this date" and you can test your skills there too.

I think  predicting contest will appear very soon if the price of the bitcoin continue to rise.

There is competition to predict the value of coins because the crypto market usually rises on the basis of competition. You need to do market analysis to get an accurate forecast visit the various sites of the forum and do research even if the price of bitcoin goes up based on its demand there will be competition but no currency can compete with bitcoin has always been at the top of all currencies in the crypto market.

I don't even think that there be a price contest for prediction the coins because their are some youtube channels and some other professional traders that will predict the price but unfortunately they are also not right as well, prediction has not 100% right always.

I think exchanges are doing this kind of thing although I am not sure since I am always been notified by the exchange that I use that they have some sort of token prize pool if they do some participation. I don't know if gambling websites do this though so I am not sure on that part.

I think we used to have BTC price prediction competition of forum itself in the speculation section. But most of these will be paid which means you will have an entry fee which you will have to pay at the time of entering and then it is given to the winner of the prediction. So this means it won't be entirely free anywhere, a better approach is to buy the coin and set a stop loss instead, this will give you a better return and more frequent chances for prediction. There is no better contest than the market itself. Also, there was a website called futuur.com, I used to do signature for that previously, that also had some similar option of prediction on prices.

I see so many prediction topic on the furom, people are always predicting and there is no clear prediction about the price because no one knows about what next to happen, So I think we should do some more research instead of predicting because no one can tell the exact price of the bitcoin or the next crypto season if it will be going to bull or bear market.

The hardest part here is that, to ask for a sponsors or donations so the reward will be higher though it done this before, and its also possible to happen if OP wanted to create a new competition for the prediction of the price. Hopefully, if you are into prediction you follow that and take it as your advantage, you can make a good money if you know how to predict even if there’s no guarantee.

When you get minimum coins, you can convert those coin into NWC coin. Right now Newscrypto Price is $0.7364 I hope you will like it.

Predicting for a betting is different from following it because there are more risks involved if you start making use of your own predictions. I guess no one will prefer this way to make good money even they had predicted accurately in the past. Just predicting for a contest or betting and then waiting for a the result rather than trying to make use of the same prediction for trading purposes makes sense in my view.

you can try newscrypto app
From where you got know about this app? How long this app is functioning and are you personally working with that app? If so, have ever got your payments on time? Do they have any ANN topic on bitcointalk? I believe randomly suggesting such thing cannot be a good practice.

I think bybit and freebitcoin were the places where I saw such contests being held in recent times. You should check them out daily and watch them to catch these exciting promotions where you can also win 1 btc 'as once I saw when btc was $45k, they (bybit) were giving away 1 full btc to someone who'd guess the price very close for that month'. There are some websites where this can be done via P2P but the prizes are not so attractive.

They all do but it seems the OP isn't aware. The first service providers I knew offer such contest were exchange. A quick search on Google and you'll finds hundreds of such prediction contest, coinmarketcap has also joined same as other projects hoping to get some attention to their platform. Wallet service providers also do rhis. Basically majority of the service providers engage in this contest as it's one of the most easiest way to get enthusiast into knowing about your project.

Next to airdropping of tokens to get new users attention and publicity, we have organizing prediction or trading contest. The contest is also organized on the forum especially on the speculation board. Just keep your eyes there and you might come in contact with one although there's usually some criteria you have to meet before you can participate. Also we have gambling platform giving the forum users an opportunity to earn some funds via prediction contest they carry out on game and rounds subboard via the gambling board.

coinmarketcap even holds a contest every month to guess the price of bitcoin.
3 people who guess close to the actual price will get a prize.
-
visit the link below to see the details:

Aside from this, what I know are gambling platforms like freebitco - https://freebitco.in/ and betller - https://betller.io/
Freebitco is offering betting on btc/eth/fun prices at the end of the month, whereas, betller is a pvp betting for btc price.
If you feel you are good at predicting prices, why not join these platforms and test your speculation skills?
Freebitco.in is the only place I am aware of betting for crypto price levels. But, after getting into this topic, I come to know about lots of other platforms where we can make easy money if we are able to predict the directions of most prominent crypto markets. I guess this topic might find new ways to make some extra money for more other peoples like myself.

If OP finds time to summarize all the good and useful information shared across this topic, that would be really useful for this community for sure (definitely I am ready to contribute to summarize whenever my time permits to do so).

Yes it exist but you in trading coins are just based on the predictions, the people or the good traders can only predict the coins high and low, but they can't say it is 100% right. So, there are many youtube channels through which you can take help.

I believe there are contests concerning the prediction of prices of cryptocurrencies. Personally, I do not attach much importance to it but you mentioned that you only want to do it for fun.
I recently came across one such finished contest by Nominex. The contest is ended already but you can check them out on twitter so know when the next contest will be available so you wouldn't miss out.

You can try Newscrypto where it has weekly price prediction contests for both desktop and mobile app. Every week, they are announcing the top 5 winners for both website platform and the mobile app predictions.

You just simply submit your own TA report to them and from there you’ll just simply wait if you are one of the top 5.

- Such contests are regularly held at new exchanges when a new event will attract more users to participate in the features they offer while the cost to the winner is not too high, it is a reasonable investment mindset of the exchanges, you are just one of the few people who don't take these contests seriously but the number of people participating in each contest is very high when the free as well as the rewards and the eagerness to win. However, predicting as such a contest, the ability of investors is less revealed and there are too many limitations and frauds.

Yes, most of the traders and youtube channels you can see on the internet and is exists, but they only predict the price of the coins and the selling and buying target but they never take it as a guarantee. Because in trading only prediction exist but guarantee of the coins is not possible.
