There are two types of people in the market, some big investors and some small investors, Big investors don't care about this situation but it is very sad for small investors. When the market falls sharply, I wonder how the market situation can suddenly do that. I know that market graph charts and news mean a lot, But if you look at them, the market is going in the right condition, then suddenly it starts falling down, for no apparent reason. This shows that the market is taken up by itself and then brought down by itself. I want to know how long this market situation will last, And when will the market start to go up?

How can big investors don't care with the market situation if their investment still in loss condition? What you mentioned above is the early investors of that crypto, they buy a lot coins with low price and already multiply it, so they didn't really care since they still profit.

If there's a person with such skills exist, I would like to ask him too and I will never loss in trading :P Probably such person exist, but he didn't that stupid to tell anyone with his secret skills.

There are reasons why the market is deteriorating as you say, the confidence of investors will always fall when everything doesn't align. First of all, after the bullrun, there will always be a bear as it has been a cycle. We are also in a pandemic crisis with the new Delta variant which is rapidly affecting everywhere so if you are a small investor who sees his money is draining, obviously, it's time to cash out. And there's also a crackdown that comes all together with the fuds.

I presume you mean the word "small" to be a indicator of the size of their investment. A small capital can be put in bitcoin or can be put in altcoin. In the first case you would have had a profit by now if you bought below 30k USD but if you made the mistake of buying at the high then you have to hold and wait.

If you go with the second case, buying altcoins, then I guess the statement make more sense. But honestly, altcoins always get driven by bitcoin price and if that is not rising, dont expect your altcoins to rise.

People are selling that is the only thing you need to know. When people sell, your job is to make sure you dont get into FUD and stop watching the market movement. Your point to watch the price will only be to buy some when the price drops below the previous buying price.

The cycle can last for a long time. The traders who are going for long term hold have to hold their ground. It is a test of patience.

Nobody can tell you how long will this still keep going. If you're one of those that have been holding coins like Bitcoin since 2019, this should be nothing of you now. You'll get used to it for sure.

Bitcoin is entering the bearish market and that means it will be looking for the best rate to stabilize its rate and there will be a stable season when all of crypto will be very stable.
You may need to take a look at the all time chart of bitcoin price and you can take the dump that happened at 2018 as the same cycle that happens right now.

There is always the wave down. It's normal. If it is not happening then we won't see any traders anymore.

The situation of market that continues dropping day by day are caused by the successive attack of banning bitcoin in some reason that digital currency like bitcoin are being used as a ransom money made by hacking. Countries like of US, China and some other countries pushing total banned is a big affect to the market.

The crypto market is not regulated by anyone so no one will know how it will be today or tomorrow, we have to be prepared for all the risks.

For big investors, it still matters if the market goes down. I know what you're trying to say is that they aren't mostly affected because they have a higher portfolio and the small investors don't have much. I don't think anyone here can tell you how long the market will be in this downward trend and when the market starts to grow and when we will see increasing prices again. I am also a small investor and at the moment it really hurts to see my portfolio losing value almost every single day. At the moment my holdings are almost worthless and they are down around 93% since the beginning of may.  :-[
I also have a hard time to understand that kind of market movements i mean i understand that when a news about a new crypto ban in china comes out that the market will react to that and starts falling, but for yesterdays and todays price drop i don't really see a reason. I guess we small investors just have to live with that.

greedy investors is the main reason why market still have no improvement since the hard fall, just imagine when there's a small pump it always suddenly slide down back to the current support,. So who do you think is dumping? Of course those greedy people who use to sell just to make profits despite of the situation.. That's just how it goes every day since the volatility is still around us the market flow chart will not change at all. Going up and down is part of how the industry gives its investors chances to choose the right coins to invest their money with. Who said big investors don't care about this situation ? you're wrong, they will BUY MORE coins in the dip and these kind of days are shopping days for them. The price chart looks like really dip already and i think the buy orders are strong in this price level. So don't care about how long it last, keep buying while it's still dip

Simply when the big investors appraise the best price to start, the user base with overbought demand, scrambled to buy.  At that time, the market will go up, if small investors go into the accumulation method, they do not need to rush to consider their losses and continue buying and accumulating.  Our cycle is weak, but some are relying on media to boost their short positions.  I have resigned myself to Hold, not sure if they can erode the current bitcoin price.  What will you do when Grayscale continues to buy back BTC for the next trust?  I guess today's drop is just a small and not serious reason for the market to continue sinking like that!

With each successive drop in the price of BTC, the price of altcoins is falling lower and lower. And those coins that were bought earlier, as it seemed at the lowest price then, are worth even less now. So the purchase is not available for everyone now, most of the traders no longer have stablecoins for new purchases.

Personally I think that it is not the worst point of the market now, as according to predictions we should expect a crypto “winter” soon. Now I see that really prospective tokens like BNB,Matic, DOT decreased by more than 50% from their spring’s peaks and I don’t mind, I will buy them for low prices.

I invested only money that I can live without, so now I am quite calm.

Unfortunately it is true the market is deteriorating and i as a small investor i am afraid for my savings so for now i take precautions and i only buy stable coins to be staked are small gains is true but also the risks are moderate, obviously the gurus/experts of trading don't share their strategies with mere mortals

I think what we have right now is not something new to us. The market will always have its bearish season that will always give chances for those who wanted to buy coins for their investment.

Athough the market seem to have a long bearish season but i think we can't do nothing about this. The market will suddenly turns into green when its time. And with the positive news that will continuously affect the market, soon it will recover again. Patience is what we need the most so we won't fall into losses this time.

BTC is under 30k right now and it doesn't mean it's the end for bull market yet,  things might take an unexpected turn in coming weeks but we really can't say so I'd say be prepared for any possibility

The crypto market has clearly shown us that whoever has the most money controls the markets and we know the big investors have that kind of money such that the small investors ( retail traders and everyone of us) can't compete or move the markets like they would. So if the plan of the big investors is to short the markets they will keep selling till they make money off us. It may look heartless but they call it doing their jobs.

And besides, no one can tell you what will happen next. You just need to prepare yourself for any scenario. If you have short term needs for your crypto, maybe cash out some but if you have no urgent needs and you believe long-term investment, don't panic just hold. This seemingly bearish market is not forever, just like the bullish run in the past months. We can just speculate but hard to know what exactly will happen in the future.

Don't be surprised that the market will always do it's thing whether we like it or not. The whales has already figured out the current market situation with premium signal of when this bearish movement would end(my thoughts because they are in control), but the  small and short investors are still skeptical of what is happening and tend to gamble with their life savings if adequate risk management is not applied. I have been seeing price falling below $30k since yesterday which many people had been speculating about of it being the beginning of the bearish trend. I could notice that the market is becoming complex day by day making investors and traders to be uncertain about their next decisions of knowing the possible direction of the market. To be honest with you mate, I was really not feeling good as of today's recent update particular with btc price. Bear market existence is already showing aggressiveness but bulls was heading towards the resistance. Most probably small investors panicked because of this, but not for big ones since opportunity of buying huge quantities is there.
When there's another potential panic buying, market starts to trigger a faster increase and we will witness another signs of recovering market.

It is a need for us to have some trust and market confidence that it all be fine sooner. We are not in a worse situation yet so there is nothing to worried about. keep calm, do other stuff to divert our mind, and not focus on the market.

Though I keep myself positive, sometimes we also have to expect a situation like this as a part of the crypto cycle. We have had this trend before and so it happens again. If we can manage to hold then we have to but if not, don't regret letting it go.

Just starting to get worse, but hey, we have seen worst that this, it was not a sudden or flash crash that we have experience, it was a slow and deliberate from two months ago. Of course, we can't take it out from our mind because there could be investors who might have thinking of selling at the very high. But the problem is that we don't know to time the market, because it is very hard.

And since we didn't sell, all we have to do is hold and wait for the market to bounce back, unless give it sometime until the end of the year.

No need to stress ourselves out, just be patience and keep yourself busy with other stuff and not just to always check for the price or check our portfolio.

The market will be fine, and we do not need to worry. But we need more patience to wait for more in this situation because we do not know when this will be over. But if the market becomes worst than what we expect, we need to be ready and use our time to do something that can help us to survive. Many of us still hold the coin and accumulate more at a low price and we hope we can make a profit later. We can let the market move while we are preparing ourselves for anything that can happen.

I don't know when this situation will end. One thing I'm sure of is that it will take time to recover. when viewed from the previous cycle where the bullrun started from 2017-2018 and the long winter lasted from 2018-2020. so we have 3 years to wait until the market starts to improve.

Beside of that, its just how the market is in state of fear, if you see the rsi indicator its showing that, and maybe weve really reached ath and its time for bearish market, if you consider all the factor it will be too many to think about but one thing for sure is that the bearish market will definitely come the time we break the ath, so cant really blame anyone on that, every graph on every investment market always show after reaching its peak the price always go down little by little and thats exactly what the market experienced.

Bitcoin was unable to return to its previous position. Many people have speculated that Bitcoin's bottom price should be $25,000. However, this is not the case. Because of the yearly cycle of bitcoin, several people thought the current market scenario was normal. Bitcoin's recovery from its low point could take years.
After 2024 year, I believe bitcoin will hit a new high.

For Bitcoin, it could already had happened but who knows anyway. Just take opportunity when the price seems like a deal for all of you. Maybe others are just getting into bad luck that they tend and need to really panic and exit out of the market due to this so called "fear".

It is still not able yet, and we know also there are some predictions about getting higher price again before this year ends. Well, just let's see whether there is another chance or not in this year to rise u again and pass the new ATH again or not.  :)

Maybe panic and fear may be the things that are really influencing their decision to lose. Or, they have taken a wrong starting way by following hype or FOMO only, not even analyzing the market and also the indicator itself, or they may only bet on luck (in which this may be not trading, but gambling only on luck).

i don't think so ,did we see all structured fud in this quarter before bitcoin price slummed ? did we see another true decentralized miner now since china crack down , defintely YES. So what does it mean , we will have more power to face fud when coming espcially if come CHina , they lost their power now since China miner reallocate their operation in several countries. Due this reason i still confidence this year bitcoin could hit new highest price no matter if it drop to 25k. Fud has gone now start from tether fud , miner fud , china fud or anything else.

the difference from previous years on what we have now are the entities involved in crypto market. we have seen a lot of big companies, financial institutions even countries to make positive move towards crypto. so it is quite hard to compare it with previous years because we have different scenario now.
despite the negative news coming from china, we are now going up again, which clearly shows that crypto market can exist even without the participation of big countries like china. so imo, i don't think our market is deteriorating. we have never seen this 30-40k level in the previous years.

History tells us that it could be a good couple years of contraction.  Although every bull and bear won't be the same I can see the same thing here.  What happens is when markets stall people start taking real profits and it starts a snowball down until people feel it's too low to sell creating a new floor.  If I had to guess some sideways trading for awhile then peoe get bored and start selling off.

Markets have behaviors so has humans. Past six months were bullish trends, now winter is here. Further down trends are expected so wait and when the time comes market is at lowest point, accumulate more because bitcoin is still undervalue.

Real world utility will stabilize the market, in the meantime stake promising cryptos like NEAR and Celo and enjoy the waves.

In my opinion the short term market doesn’t matter. Although now the market is going up it will eventually go back down, but over the next few years the trend will be up overall. I invest money that I can afford to lose and don’t need for short term expenses because the market is to volatile short term. I’ve done my research and found projects that I think will be top coins in the future. NEAR is a project that I’m extremely bullish on and I believe it’ll be a top 15 coin in the future. NEAR is fast, cheap, easy to use and it’s ready for the masses. It’s revolutionizing so many things, and I joined the telegram channel a couple weeks ago and learned so much. The admin are so helpful and will answer any questions. I’d recommend checking it out, just look into it a see what you think.

Hopefully, the upward trend will continue to impact the price to get another bull run. Even if that is not a bull run, if the price can start increasing slowly, that still benefits us, which means we can back to make a profit again. But if the price is up and down only, maybe we can also use that to make scalping trade because I think it will be good to buy low and sell high.

Maybe the small investors can buy and hold strategy, especially if they do not have much experience in trading so they do not have to watch the market too often. That will prevent them from panic if the price makes a correction because they will not see that it happen unless they set the alarm to wake them up and check the market situation.

- Your level of observation is really good and you can see out of the ordinary when I also see a relatively strange recovery compared to previous ones, instead of the capitalization moving evenly from bitcoin then to the top coins, but the situation is quite random that everything goes back to bitcoin while the altcoins have not received any more support. currently, the dominance of bitcoin is still strong. support for altcoins has not yet been created. The current market movement has made it difficult for many people, especially short-term investors, to make investment plans.

Not all investors will be worried when there is a decline, but this is mostly happening to newcomers due to their level of market understanding. With bitcoin increase and back to $39k-$40k many times, it could give the altcoin to increase and back to the high price for a while before the bitcoin and altcoin can get another bull run.
The price can stay at a price now but the price can also increase to the other high price.
Maybe the market situation now looks strange to observe but the movements are still good and hopefully, it can increase in the next week.
While we still are carefully analyzing the market, we should prepare for the next correction because it can come anytime.

Cryptocurrency investors will always look out for what pleases them and anything outside that doesn't make any sense. What makes you think that the market going up is only the right direction as you stated?  and falling down suddenly for no apparent reason? Do you think there was an apparent reason for it to be going up in the first place? There are multiple sides to the market, up, down sideways and there are always reasons that make the market move in the particular direction it is moving at any point in time, either by sell pressure or buy pressure, and knowing exactly how long it lasts is not something anyone can tell you, you just have to roll with it.

The development of Bitcoin is very stable now, and because of the recent rise of Bitcoin, many altcoins are also slowly rising. But Bitcoin's volatility is still great,,,
However, the market is not getting worse and worse. Some newbies who entered the market because of the pandemic have also learned how to deal with market panics by learning about cryptocurrencies. You will not sell your coins because of the fall of Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin will still rise, because Bitcoin has become very popular recently because of Amazon, and it will not affect the development of Bitcoin because of some "rumors". This is a good sign.

When you say market is deteriorating, what do you mean? Deteriorating market simply means such market is becoming worse, weaken , losing it's essence. All of this defination can not be said of bitcoin and other quality altcoin. The price dump is just one of the market situation that comes and goes. Some will even argue that is an opportunity for coin to distrobute better!

I think with the market conditions that go up and down by itself it is possible to lure or attract investors to continue investing in it, usually often with altcoins that still have low prices, for example Aurora, and Btt. I noticed some time ago the Altcoin began to move higher prices. That's why I assume that the coin holder wants to attract other investors to join in it

I think we should not focus on the market's deteriorating condition it only makes you negative. There is no time frame for a bear or bull market. The market can move in any direction at any time and it is beyond one's control and if you see how the market is improving for the past 1 week you won't complain. We should remain patient and should not overthink about the market as holders do. The important thing is patience not the market trend and that helps you to be a successful trader. If one has back up to hold in worst conditions of the market certainly he/she would probably make a good profit from this market.

I don't think it will take long to see the green signal and see the price going up. If you use the calculation of the distance a little maybe every minute a green signal will be seen. As for the long term and the holders of course will be very vulnerable to waiting for a long time as you say so.

What I can make from @op post is that he probably lack the ability to exercise patience for market to recover again, because the market has experience a dip in price lately suddenly you feel the big whales don't care about btc which to me is very wrong, just because the price dip don't mean the whales don't care, their aim is to make money so why won't they care! This is part of crypto behaviour except you are a novice with how btc market works.

Instead of panicking, big and experienced investors are sure to take advantage of the market downturn to fill their bags with more. especially those who are experienced and have a lot of reserve funds.
To be able to invest calmly and not panic, I always recommend investing with knowledge first. with our knowledge it will be easier to determine the best strategic steps and strive to minimize the risk of a highly volatile market. do not use this as a gamble and risk your luck, at least do a market analysis and read a lot before deciding to choose a coin.

Some people are blaming whales for their actions but the fact that they are also living in the market, they also have the freedom on what they want to do. This crypto market has its bull and bearish season. With bull run, everyone expects more profits  to attain but when bearish season happens, why is that they tend to lose hope and resort into panic selling? Yes. condition is very vulnerable. a little negative sentiment towards BTC immediately corrected the price. the majority of it contains bad news and fud and if it is read it will be affected for cutloss and market stock is also very influential on market conditions, if large selling actions continue to be carried out. Cryptocurrency is a speculative market. It will rise and fall and that is it's inherent property. A gain will be followed by a loss and a loss will be followed by a gain. Point is when are you going to enter the market. If you buy at the dip you are at a potential advantage.

See the market will never always go down or get "worse everyday" - that type of statement is temporary. What happens is that when bitcoin drops too low people who were waiting with liquid cash are going to buy it raise its price up. But I cannot say the same for altcoins. Depending on how much a specific altcoin can get support from its holders, the price may or may not rise.

So if you are coming from that altcoin background, my suggestion would be to move on from them and move in to bitcoin.

These sort of threads just create panic in the market. Unless you are a day trader, these short term fluctuations should not impact you directly. Most of the users here are holding their coins for the medium to long term, and they have their target price when they want to go for profit booking. Only the inexperienced ones get panicked by these short-term dips and sell their coins at low prices. Personally I don't see any issue with the current market situation. And I believe that the next rally can start at any time now.

Generally, Crypto price depends on the balance of supply and demand.
But sometimes the volatility of crypto is affected by the intentional posts and sayings of famous people on social media to create the effect of Hype
And the actions of the whales in making sales or buying and the factors of public Fear and Greed

I think thats not a correct word in the current market condition? the market is not "deteriorating" day by day, how can you say that if the top-ranking cryptocurrencies are still working fine, Bitcoin and Ethereum are still in good shape the price is still competitive the current marketcap was posted at $1.5 trillion for me that's quite stable and not deteriorating. it's too negative in my opinion that's why it's better to ignore it.

Sometimes the published hype news can push the market up but it can also bring the market down, each hype will end within a certain time and then the market returns to normal trading mode.

It is not that much for the crypto market being deteriorated day by day. Fluctuation occurs so that there would be a balance in crypto market. It cannot be greeny all the time and make a huge run of being increasing values again and again. We all know that if there are big rise for a huge percentage of crypto market, there is also time that it goes down even for several days.

Whether the crypto market will always be related to the seasons every year, if based on the graph the crypto market index does not create the same movement every season in the last few years and maybe its relation to each season only creates temporary market ups and downs.

They did indeed start to improve. If some people don't see +10% for seven days in a row, they call it "crypto winter". In my opinion that is ridiculous to put it carefully. We are going so strong right now, massive green progress on all fronts as it seems but still there are people out there who say that we are used to even greener times with more price increases per day and stronger volumes...

To me it is natural that after a big dump happened a lot of the enthusiasm disappears along with those dumps. That is the same for a car. If an autonomous Tesla crashes against a tree, I am sure that for a second enthusiast will also turn into hesitaters.

That is indeed something that must be understood because when the market goes down quickly there will not always be a decline again and again because after a big decline, everything will go up as before even though it happens slowly, and vice versa

There might be some patterns been created or could be observed but doesnt mean that it would be precisely happen on next years to come.So i dont really believe on such thing because everything would really be random.

Several factors could really be affecting the movement neither positive or negative sentiments that do happen in the market.We would see neither an upgoing market or would be going downward.

I totally agree with you that predictions aren't worth a dime, particularly if someone tries to tell you where Bitcoin will be at in one year. I find it even ridiculous when someone tells you where Bitcoin will be in one month, maybe even in one week. Where are all the experts who predicted a crash from $65k to $28k and a bounce back to $45k? Where are they? ;P

As a crypto investors for about 4 years till now, i will say crypto has seasons for the market movement. The market won't up and down in a day or just a week (maybe a coin does, but not for the whole market average), so Q3 of this year is buy season which all altcoin are in dip and it's recomend to buy some before the next quarter we will see an improvement in terms of price

In investing both large and small investors the risks received remain the same and when prices fall then all feel panicked let alone large investors the capital they use is usually quite large so they are very concerned if the market decline occurs, then in investing we must be ready to accept every state of the market because at all times there is always a change and we still have to be vigilant.

Did you said big investors don't care, of course they do, it's just that we are faced by some kind of annoying whales who think they can manipulate the market and get there ways out every situation. They are always after the profit as long as money is always made irrespective of what projects they invest their money in, they are their for the profit and as soon as the market or the project is about to, they move out their money and go for search of another project they will do the same to.
Institutional always remain as long as the project remains solid with their road map and product, they will always push their money to work.

Eventually we will see real world adoption of blockchain, until then whales will be able to manipulate the market. I suggest buying POS coins like Ethereum and NEAR and staking while we wait for the bullrun.

Cryptocurrency market is like any other market,  there are times for boom and burst.  The up and down Cryptocurrency prices is anticipated by investors and traders alike,  so there is nothing new!  The important issue here is to have a plan and stick by your plan no matter what happens in the market!

No one knows when the bear market situation will end, but now we have seen an increase in the crypto marketcap and some new investors seem to have started buying more coins for them to store and trade before Bullrun come again.
I'm a Hodler and the market situation doesn't matter to me  ;) because everyone has a goal if they invest and therefore I will sell Bitcoin and other altcoins when approaching Bitcoin Halving, because it will definitely affect the amount of demand and the price will increase

I think i wouldn't use the word deteriorating because that doesn't happen in the crypto space, I think using that word means the crypto space is losing value which is not so, however I would prefer using the word we are all conservant with, which is dumping, yes the market was dumping or dumped badly few months ago. This dump, through following the news so far shows China ban on miners, Bitcoin energy fud and so others were a contributing factors to such dump, and recently now the market is taking a good and better shape, as Bitcoin and Ethereum keeps leading; thus the reason why I think using the word deteriorating wasn't really good but now the market is pumping.
Also, in the market are different phases, bear and bull, and that's the way it has been for years, you just need to understand it and work with it so as to make good decisions, normally those who bought the dump in price of some coins like Ethereum few months ago should be in profit now. So in all, the market is going up gradually, but making good decisions on good coins is very important in this stage.

It all depends on the movement made from Bitcoin, because if Bitcoin Up then the hype increase will also occur in some altcoins, thus traders will also compete to buy it when the price is below so the market will move quickly because the volume of demand increases.

I think conditions like this are normal because trades must have up and down charts. There is no altcoin that always stays on the moon and no altcoin that stays down because this is all the nature of trading. but my advice is to be able to take advantage of every market condition because otherwise we will not be able to benefit from it. and if you are a trader then you will not complain about the current market conditions.

Buying altcoins that are low should be done with caution, my friend. You dont want to move an altcoin that has been down there for ages, you will end up buying that and not be in any position to sell it. You do understand that this basically because these altcoins have no intrinsic market making value - they have no utility to be spent and therefore the long term value is also zero.

I would not say this if you buy a altcoin that you can use for some purpose, in that case that altcoin's price would always go up or fluctuate and never be down in the shadows.

I agree, considering when the thread was started, we have seen better days and although currently bitcoin is bearish, this is a good time to buy and then sell at 50k USD before buying again.

No one can give you the right answer for your question OP, crypto market is unpredictable some times and big investors (whales) are just like random people like us, they have fear and greed as well but they do have the power to manipulate the market at the right time, if you are looking forward to invest in coins I'd say you should use little funds because to me bull market have stay around for too long now so I'm expecting bear market soon, this is just my own opinion though nothing is guaranteed here
