There are currently many coins in cryptocurrency, including light coins and binance coins. But now Binance Coin is take very good position than litecoin. Can you think litecoin  also overtake binance.

Binance looks more focus. I have read the CEO hyping the coin to go pass bitcoin and whether this will happen is for time to tell but binance coin has come to light because of the exchange that is one of the giant in crypto exchange. It has the hype of the exchange so I think it will continue to get attention more than litecoin. Litecoin has not been very active and creative lately on like etheruem.

in my opinion between litecoin and binance have different  fundamental and could not compared peer to peer. As exchange binance have biggest trading volume now and user continuesly growth every day, as smart platform binance smart chain have big ecosystem that will used bnb as gas. Meanwhile in litecoin we only see lightning network that still developted. Personally i see binance still better.

No need to think of overtaking.

Why there's always a comparison like this and don't just look at their usage? If you like BNB, buy it. And if you like more Litecoin then buy it too.

But if you like both, no need for that comparison, just buy them both.

The are two coins in different worlds, the only thing we can compare about them is their crypto position and block times that's it. But if we had to, Binance is more superior in spite being the younger coin it has more usefulness like serving other coins on its blockchain and it now has one of the biggest crypto communities for its coin and as for ltc all I can think of is its a store of value.

How the adoption going and everything + a support from their founder "Binance Coin" more potential rather than "Litecoin" do you remember a long time ago how the founder "LITECOIN" tell everybody he sold his bag during bullish 2017.

IMO, this act just make a bad vibes for them.

litecoin can't go in parallel with binance coin, it is trend coin and it is progress on going super fast. i think ltc not being upgraded in time so that it’s uses reducing day by day for that  influence in ltc market price. in this time ltc's all of development a bit slow, i don’t think ltc can overtake bnb.

I don't think so ltc would overtake binance, and with the current standing of bnb there's no way for this coin to beat it's popularity and influence from huge group of holders. We all notice the strong foundations of binance smart chain network, it has now unleashed for may people who entrusted their faith to this platform. It's now becoming a serious hype over it, despite of market downfalls of other altcoins.

Binance is currently on-demand because it's not just an exchange. BNB has lots of use cases and even use by some DAPPS because of its low fees and smooth bridge. In today's crypto hype, if a coin has a loud community, it will attract most people to get in.

But we should not compare these 2 as both are good coins to list on our hold assets.

I agree with you here. Both alts are very promising to hold in your portfolio much better than hyped up coins. But right now, I have more BNB than LTC. With many events happening in Binance, their growth may be faster than LTC. But that is only my opinion. I can easily check the updates and developments in binance platform as I am also a regular user of their exchange.

When Binance Coin first started as an ERC-20 token I didn't think it had much of a future. It's only use was for paying fees on Binance. Since then they created a new blockchain and then pivoted towards being a smart contract platform that could compete with Ethereum. I am impressed with how far they have come.

When you look at Litecoin, the development is stagnant. Their daily transactions started going up after some on-chain game started spamming the blockchain but this is not an organic rise in adoption. Litecoin will get left behind like other payment coins that tried to compete with Bitcoin like Dash and BCH.

What should be the Basis for this overtaking? Binance is more stable and supported specially as a coin represent the biggest exchange we have now.

While litecoin is a currency that once being Abandoned and sold so what you think? Will litecoin has a support like what binance has?

I think it is not right to compare and the answer is always the same , It is Binance that will win .

It will never happen. Binance was on the different level and it has dozens of usability while litecoin doesn't have any usability. From here we can see that if binance coin will never be beaten by litecoin.

Binance Coin and Litecoin are nothing alike. Litecoin is a very old and simple coin. It doesn't really do much except its blockchain is usually free from transactions and you can send small transactions for a very low fee. Its one of the reasons why I used it in the past. If you got like $100 on an exchange, and want to send it to another exchange, usually if you want to withdraw BTC, ETH, Tether or USDC, you will need to pay $10-$20 or so.

So if you just buy LTC on one exchange, withdraw it, usually confirms within 2 minutes, and then sell on that exchange, you can do it much much cheaper. This is probably what many small traders are doing these days with LTC.

Binance is different because it has a use case such as reduced fees and its deflationary with all the coin burns. LEO and FTT are also similar coins. Usually they all followed the rally up to Coinbase Nasdaq listing and then started to pullback.

So Litecoin and BinanceCoin are nothing alike.

Hasn't binance been overtaking the litecoin since a long time ago? people didn't interested anymore in litecoin although the price is still very high but it caused by bitcoin and it's not caused by the litecoin itself.
Litecoin doesn't have the power to overtake binance coin. Binance coin gave so many advantages to its holders while litecoin gave nothing.
Both can't be compared because the answer is binance still ahead of litecoin.

Probably never, litecoin already falls behind in term of technology and as you see bsc that use bnb already become so popular it compete directly with eth not to mention theres this large exchange called binance that support bnb. I think the chance of litecoin overtaking bnb is really slim and as long as the smart contract craze still continues with all the innovations like nft, etc. That only make the gap between litecoin and bnb wider.

In terms of development since that's where do investors tend to be attracted then for sure Litecoin would be eating the dust on what BNB is doing. Binance isn't just focusing on one thing or two but they are disrupting almost on all sides of the cryptoverse. You name it - DeFi, NFT, exchange, own chain, and much more. I'm not saying Litecoin is left out but people really are into those who do works and Litecoin GitHub (https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin) seems not that updated, pull requests and issues not properly managed.

I'd say they'd be left behind with this L2, L3 kind of coins that are into more the disruption of more scalable state and has more use cases, just my two cents.

Binance coin have a high demand now coz  it has some plus points
1. Binance coin now is top 4 coin on Coinmarketcap
2. It is a biggest Exchanger token
3. It has own blockchain and is being used a lot
4. All exchanges have BNB trade pair
5. BNB is constantly being used for presale, ICO, IEO, IDO, ETC
So the demand of BNB is higher than that Litecoin

It seems it is hard for litecoin to overtake binance position as we see litecoin are in number 13 position while Binance is at number 4. But maybe litecoin still has a chance to lift the position in the future since everything can change in the future. But for the investor, they can buy both binance and litecoin together because those coins can back to increase to the high price in the future. At this bear trend, they will accumulate more binance and litecoin and will make a profit once the bull run comes to the market.

This shouldn't even be a question. Binance coin is largely popular and good for various things, litecoin is only popular for the veterans who has known this coin but most of newer people will always know BNB first before even knowing litecoin. From that we can make conclusion that litecoin losing in popularity against BNB. BNB is popular because many new people think of it as the most important coin when they are using BSc which widely used right now amny many projects.

I'm a fan of Litecoin since then but against binance? nope i will be surely choosing Binance on this one.

Litecoin is a old time coin that had faced some issue in the past and i don't think that any time soon this will have a Bumping .

Good coins sure, both. Cant compare I think. Useful to have both cos value have, perspective coins. I use ltc often when transferring, fee is very low. Bnb is in top 5 now and have usage. Buy both and hold. Mine strategy, you chose yours.

I think as long as Binance is still more popular and many people still believe to investing in Binance, then it might be difficult for Litecoin to overtake Binance, then I personally also prefer to invest in Binance than Litecoin at this time, because I believe if Binance has a bigger opportunity to give me profit than Litecoin, that's why I prefer and support Binance rather than Litecoin.

binance coin is like a ethereum because it keeps upgrading and becomes very useful than other alternative coin in the market because of it's technology as well, especially  when ethereum gas fee gradually increasing it gained more attention. so if we will make a comparison between litecoin and binance it seems impossible for litecoin to over take binance, if it's possible maybe it already happened even before when binance were new in the space.

If compared the two coins are very much different from the price to the number of fans who are more confident with BNB, especially for now BNB is building a BSC network that transactions are cheaper compared to ethreum, then Litecoin can not be equivalent to BNB for now, but for the future we do not know what will happen ,it could be litecoin will be equivalent to BNB.

BNB is younger than LTC but we can see the growth rate of BNB is much faster than LTC.BNB has a large community from the world's number one exchange binance. You can see recent projects skipping ETH and switching to the BSC platform.The growth and popularity of BNB will continue into the future. this is a pretty lame comparison when you compare LTC vs BNB.

Thought they both experience from issues before but I think BNB was able to overcome that issues and becomes a better coin not just an exchange. If somebody wants a stable return than LTC is a preferred choice more like I consider it has a bank deposit. But in terms of returns and ready to take some risk then BNB could yield you good profits in coming months. So proportionally as per risk apatite divide and invest in LTC and BNB in order to make profits accordingly.

LiteCoin is indeed older than BNB, but LTC has not shown good development so far, in contrast to BNB which always provides new innovations, so BNB vs LTC I would prefer BNB.

You're wasting your time by comparing those coins. Binance is the most power full exchange coin right now even the countries were also against this exchange site caused by they were feeling worried binance will be making domination. Litecoin is just a coin that called by its supporter as the silver of crypto but i can't agree with it right now.

Yes, I really feel this is not necessary. When we try to compare, what can be considered very good in this field. With the arguments the OP is saying, I find it quite time-consuming to think about which is better, while both are very good, I would recommend that if you already like both choose both instead of doing it yourself It's hard on yourself, and you don't know what you're doing.

They both have pros and cons. Personally I'm using litecoin whenever I need a transaction where the fees are low because probably I will send big amount of money but for quick transaction, if I had to use the other payment method then I would have received the coins much longer than using litecoin. I would prefer using altcoin for this kind of thing.

Binance coin is good for investment since it's based on working products and it's well known to the community so the prospect and potential is there. So, you can do whatever you want with that.

Most powerful exchange coin maybe right now thanks to defi on BSC but once everyone gets tired of defi fad and realize (again) that utility is what is important long term people will fly off and go back to ETH.

Plus now Binance is getting attacked in many countries, so they will have to do a lot to regain lost confidence. And that is a tough game,,, when most of their users are hype people.

I have seen a lot of comparisons on this forum between coins that made absolutely zero sense, but comparing Litecoin to Binance Coin is probably the number one zero sense making comparison I have ever seen. What the heck are you comparing here? What is even the point asking for Litecoin vs. Binance Coin? They are completely different and have literally nothing in common that you could / should compare except for the fact that you could use both to send value from A to B. Binance Coin represent an operational business, its underlying is a crypto business empire. No need to explain what Litecoin is I guess. 

What keeps most coins ahead of others is the level of improvements and developments the team have done, are doing and will do, this will attract more investors to it hence leading to more market cap which then will make the coin overtake another on coinmarketcap.
Starting with Binance, we have seen the level of commitment within the team thus the developments they have done over the years, also currently they have developed an NFT marketplace which will make them to be in line with what's happening in the crypto space which of course will lead to more growth of BNB coin. Also, don't forget there is an outstanding DEX exchange on Binance Smart Chain.
Now in the case of Litecoin, how much of a development have we seen recently, how much of what the team are working on have we seen recently as well? There is no doubt, Litecoin is one of the prominent good old coins, but the team needs to step up their game in order to attract more users, Investors and of course more growth.
Therefore in my opinion, Litecoin will find it hard overtaking Binance again, because Binance team are are not slowing down anytime soon.

Anything can happen in this market, since the binance coin was created by an exchange the biggest danger they are facing is if a centralized entity like a government takes a very harsh stance against them and we see the exchange being closed forcefully, in that scenario the price of their coin will plummet and litecoin will go above it.

However this is the only way I see litecoin overtaking the binance coin as over the years litecoin has been losing popularity and I do not see it recovering it anytime soon.

Nothing do last forever but basing or seeing on how Binance dominating the market then its really hard to tell for it to fail in a short years of time.We cant tell since there would be no assurance and as said in your one of the

Price is nowhere near the same, marketcap of litecoin is nearly 15% of binancemarketcap, that means that it needs to grow over x5 to reach to where binance is right now. I do not think that making an investment on litecoin right now will not be a great investment.

I could see a situation where bnb increases a lot earlier and you could sell that when it peaks and invest into litecoin afterwards to make some money, because lower level coins go up a lot later usually unless they have some individual success but I do not see any individual success with litecoin so they will go up only when the market goes up and binance could have an individual success, so you could take advantage of that. Otherwise there is really nothing you could do to make profit from litecoin more than you could do with binance, it is just not comparable when you look at their prices.

Ever since Charles Lee had sold litecoin, litecoin has not been what it used to be as compared to before, initially litecoin ought to be among top 5, or in worst scenario top 10 in coinmarketcap due to strong fundamentals, but it's not giving up to the expectations, binance coin on the other hand has an exchange and an active founder who do all his possible best to make sure that it gets to the peak, I would not want to compare ltc and bnb because, currently bnb is way ahead of ltc

I honestly do not see any possibility for Litecoin to pass binance ever again. Litecoin is 13th right now, it literally went outside of top 10 list which is basically what you need to know about litecoin and the direction it is taking right now. In comparison BNB managed to actually get to third position this year, that should basically tell you the direction for that.

So basically, we are going to see BNB keep growing more and more, while we will keep seeing litecoin to drop more and more, even during bull runs litecoin will not go up as much as others hence dropping in ranking while increasing in price, that happened in 2021, when it was going up, everything was going up 50% while litecoin went up 30% and so each time there was an increase and that caused its rank to fall. I honestly believe that you could sell your ltc now and buy bnb and get a better chance of profiting.

binance could developt its utility by building various feature in it is exchanges or in blockchain platform. Not only compared to ltecoin but to another project , binance maybe the only project that build all cryptocurrency need all community know it and no need to compare each other.

litecoin developers need to do  extraordinary effort to make this project better and better again so could be the solution for cryptocurrency market problem. The reality was saying the opposite thing dude. The litecoin has less supply than binance but this is not about supply. people wanna buy caused by the usefulness of the coin and it's not about it has small supply of coins.
These days people are very smart. they are buying the coin based on what kind usability and advantage that they can take it from the coin.

That's a very impossible thing to happen, and if you compare litecoin with binance achievement right now they're totall different. Bnb coins itself has their own bsc network which actually having strong dedication that caters different project right now. While, litecoin remains only a trading asset which relied only with holders and investors, so it wouldn't overtake binance coin.

I don't think they can, Binance has a good platform and almost everyone here in the community is trading on Binance, they have a token creation, they have an exchange they have their own chain and they have billions of capitalization, everything you are looking for a coin is all on Binance coin and it's only a matter of time before they $1000 dollar so continue buying Binance.

In my humble opinion Litecoin cannot overtake Binance coin in a long run now that these coin has a good foundation into the cryptospace where most of the project on the bounty thread are using the binance smart chain(BSC) address because of having low transaction fees on there exchange which has greatly advantage to other exchange fees rather.

Litecoin isba good coin, binance coin is alsoa good coin, I do not like to compare, but I am asked to take one, I will take binance coin, the reason is that binance coin support many tokens just like ethereum, litecoin is just like an old old that do jot develop smart contract when smart contract is helping ethereum and binance coin now.

Litecoin is an old coin that is already very well known in the crypto space, so the possibility of chasing Binance coin is very open although not very easy, because Litecoin also needs some development and good news for it to be able to compete with Binance coin in the future.

Not at the current stage, I did not see any big development of Litecoin while Binance has a lot of big development, the reason why investors are still putting their trust in BNB. We can't make a conclusion now as we don't know what would happen in the future, but if you will weigh them now, the potential to succeed more is for the BNB.

Binance coin transactions are almost the same as ethereum and that makes the price very volatile like ethereum and bitcoin. defi projects and nft games make binance coin transactions increase sharply.

I think with the hype recently, BNB is better project at the market nowadays. Its have own platform (BSC) and allowed many project to be deployed on top of it, in another words BNB have so many potential thing to do compared to litecoin.

I choose binance coin over litecoin, this is now having good progress in the marketplace which I think it will be next to ethereum someday. The competition is getting more stronger in terms of adoption, and I believed litecoin doesn't have that capabilities compared to bnb right now. Even if there's more challenges we encountered, bnb network managed to settle things over and created different breakthrough to make their project more efficient.

I believe that each coin has its own advantages and purposes. If, for example, BNB is a coin that already has a developed ecosystem and it is involved in many processes, and the same Litecoin does not have such an ecosystem, which means it cannot compete with BNB. And in general, I think that it makes no sense to compare BNB with LTC, since these are different coins with different purposes and even more so with different capabilities and directions.

Totally agree with what you're saying, because comparing Litecoin to BNB is like comparing a large company to a store that has been around for a long time, so it's definitely not worth it and not comparable even though both are good coins.

It's very hard for Litecoin to overtake Binance. currently the largest platform market in crypto is controlled by ETH and Binance. many projects use binance and ETH. whereas litecoin is like a long sleep coin and we don't know when litecoin will wake up and wake up. so it takes a process and stages for litecoin to overtake Binance

People who do not invest into bnb do not really realize that fact, they do not even care about that fact, because only thing they care about is the things they invest into, if they are investing into eth then they will say that people only invest into BNB because of the low fees and not care about anything else.

clearly true, what you say is real and we cannot avoid that fact. now the platforms that are often used for transactions are ethereum and binance, so you can imagine they arrange for everything with the aim of being able to provide the best and make investors continue to target to be a very lucrative investment for now and in the future.

People are looking for the usefulness and so many old coins are already dead. It's not only very hard but litecoin has no chance to compete with binance coin. I will never choose Litecoin against Binance coin lol. . why choose unstable coin that the stable one? not in the sense of like USDT but stable by means of safeties and good status.

Litecoin feels so unnecessary. We have coins for cheap transactions and for fast transactions, we have also coins for anonymous transactions, we have smart contract platforms with BSC and ETH. What is LTC going to be good for in the future. What gap are they looking to close or which niche to fill? I just can't see any kind of a convincing agenda for LTC.

Clearly Binance coin is many steps ahead compared to Litecoin because if you look at the use cases of BNB so you will definitely know its potentials and the other side Binance has became one of the top cryptocurrency exchange which is absolutely a plus point for BNB and the more fame and reputation binance exchange will earn it will leave a positive impact on BNB

i could agree to say that Litecoin can improve in its price, and i have thought about that before, but to say that it will overtake BNB that's the point that i don't agree with, with binance being the biggest crypto exchange right now, it's almost impossible, unless some regulation stuff affects the exchange's popularity or some flaws or hacks,  it could overtake it, but it's not likely to happen.

Are not. BNB is widely adopted and compatible for its platform. LTC is not in line with the scaling trend. That's its limitation similar to those of EOS, TRX. So BNB will continue to grow and compare here is the ground and the moon. Lol

Binance coin was not s stable coin. It has a steady growth compared with litecoin and it doesn't mean that if binance was the same like the stable coin. it's still also volatile like another crypto. It's really not worth comparing, because BNB is already far superior and has everything than Litecoin which only has itself completely without any other support coming from outside, so it can't be denied that BNB is already much better than Litecoin.

Litecoin and Binance coin are two different distinct coin.  Litecoin is seen as silver standard of Cryptocurrency though,  many lost faith in litecoin when Lee (the leading developer of litecoin)  made an announcement on how he sold all of his litecoin in 2017!
Binance coin on the other hand was initially a utility coin  and now,  it has progressed to  2nd layer coin,  partially decentralized! And for litecoin overtaken bnb,  litecoin is not developing like it should and binance dev are very ambitious!

There's no possibility for litecoin to overtake binance coin nowadays, and as I've been observing for several years there's no ample developments that ltc has been showing to their community. Litecoin can only go with the flow. If Litecoin was trying to compete with Binance Coin, that is as if you were trying to compete with Elon Musk building a car factory. As always we need to know that price of a coin depends on supply and demand and if we look at the mechanisms Binance is using to push its price you will realize that litecoin can not compete,it stands no chance!
Binance coin has blend of ways to push its price up such as token burns which reduces its supply in the market over time making them scarce and has a blockchain which is fueled by the same coin so it has no issues of demand while litecoin relies on its old users for demand.

I like Litecoin but I don't think that it will be the same as Ethereum. There's so much development that's happening to Ethereum and they're not yet done.
