Title: BRD Wallet Sync Issues Post by: JohnBitCo on September 04, 2021, 05:36:20 PM I have opened my BRD wallet after few months and it is taking a lot of time in synchronization. Anyone can tell me how much time it will take to sync ?
I also have Electrum wallet but it always syncs instantly. Why there is always sync issues in BRD wallet ? I am not also a user of BRD wallet, but that link is useful enough, if the internet connection is working perfectly, then the 'FastSync' should be turned on which can make it to sychronized in just few seconds.I also have Electrum wallet but it always syncs instantly. I still do not under why it is like that according to the link posted by SFR10, SPV sychronizing option can take up to 30 minutes which will most likely be the reason. BRD is (was?) leveraging something like BitcoinJ and connects directly to Bitcoin node's, like Bitcoin Wallet for Android... rather than connecting to wallet specific servers like Electrum does.
As such, the syncing is generally a little slower, as it is using Bloom Filters from "random" full nodes, as opposed to dedicated servers etc, but obviously still faster than doing a full blockchain download and verification. Based on my knowledge, did you check your internet connect properly? you can also reinstall apps too, or double check the blockchain network, and if this all still not working to your BRD wallet, probably you can contact their support to ask about your issues.

BRD wallet has already haulted itself since March 2022 (https://spacecoastdaily.com/2022/03/brd-wallet-stops-this-is-how-you-migrate-to-another-wallet/).There is no development on it since then and their twitter went inactive as well. But the app is however still available on playstore. Users were already asked to import their keys to another supported self-custodial bitcoin wallet. Why are you trying to bump this thread ? |
