1inch has come up with the idea of giving back 10 million 1inch tokens to the community as a way of refunding gas fees possibly on ethereum Network. this is a good and welcoming Network. i have always liked the idea and the roadmap of this great project. they have always been supportive of the community. Airdrops upon Airdrops has been conducted by inch to show their support for the defi community.

personally, I think all defi communities should support this project. they are sincere and have the habit of giving back to the community.

I really welcome that 1 inch really appreciates the community, only the ETH network has airdrops that have fantastic value so far, I am looking forward to pancakeswap also following what 1 inch is doing even though until now pancakes are very popular in dex.

when pancake are busy burning all their tokens in the name of reducing circulations and increasing price. they will never conduct such airdrops. Pancakeswap has never conducted any form of airdrops to their users. i think they are greedy,

Projects like 1inch will only end up winning the heart of their investors, another project that plan to do the same thing is Axie infinite, I heard they plan to give coins worth lots of money back to their early adopters too, this is what I meant by real support for the masses unlike projects that only care about burning off part of max supply that worth millions

Burning is quite different to airdropping a coin. Each action has its own causes and consequences.
1Inch hasn't a liquidity problem, so no need to think about a Coin Burn or a locked supply. In simple words, it took a great part from the fees it earned and send it back to users. While PancakeSwap has the Burn phase a basic development step.



Please check about the causes of Coin Burn held by some projects. It's not about greed neither about wasting supply that worth millions (as you said in your own words). You can even discuss the concept.
Early supporters can be awarded using different strategies and we saw how in such cases the project airdropped a part from the supply in addition to burn another part. In this case of 1Inch, the airdrop is a portion from the total gas fee earned by the 1Inch team, means the circulating supply is the same.

It's great to have airdrops/incentives from 1inch and really great for the whole community. Hopefully those airdrop lovers will stick with 1inch to continue supports rather than hunting for another projects which will do the samething because few users are supporting just for the airdrops, nothing than that. On the other hand, burning mechanism is great for any coin/token and not only this, lower supply will give more profits than those airdrops to the hodlers of that coin/token in the long run. BTW, i support all AMM/DEX and pancakeswap did airdrop of NFTs to its supporters.

Axie already did that airdrop to early supporters (https://twitter.com/AxieInfinity/status/1443539864658579456). Also point to be noted, Axie was running on ethereum mainnet back then, though now they have own sidechain for lower fees (https://whitepaper.axieinfinity.com/technology/ronin-ethereum-sidechain).
