Title: Reasons why I like bear market
Post by: XUR_TIP on October 12, 2021, 04:15:56 PM
I know many don't want bear market 😅 we are so in love in the little corrections and making some profits when market recovers however the real bear market isn't here yet but there are few advantages that bear market holds and some failed to see it

1. The best time to build a long term portfolio is in bear market
2. Bear market don't care about any project, if your project is weak bear market can easily kill the project
3. Bear market reveals which coin is strong and which coin is weak, many coins won't even live through the bear seasons
4. You get more quantities of coins if you buy in bear market

While some don't want bear market some are already hoping it gets here so they can build another portfolio for coming btc halving

The bear market is a correction market that makes more people to feel they are having hope again, bear market makes them invest but some people can be afraid of the market thinking the price of bitcoin will fall more, but people that invest in bear market will see the gain very soon than others. One thing I like about hodl is that real holders are still happy in bear market waiting for another bull market when they will gain which will happen for sure, holders never lose, but traders are the ones losing during bear market.

Somewhat agree.

Bull markets are bittersweet— net worth skyrockets to all-time highs, I can afford a lot of stuff, and I overall feel great about myself. Downside being I look at charts like every 5-10 minutes and my overall productivity drops massively. I don't necessarily like bear markets though, as I'm always 90%+ allocated to bitcoin/crypto at all times. I'd prefer sideways markets.

I agree with it at all. In the bear market, we are not overwhelmed with a lot of successful traders and their best technical analysis. Now in green, almost any noob can make a profit and promote themself to a market expert.
of course, a lot of rubbish shittokens projects has accumulated, which only unnecessarily burdens. One bear period would be beneficial to clean up the market a bit.

Obviously, it is a treat for those looking to invest or have yet to start in their first  buy of whatever coin it is, hopefully Bitcoin though. Somehow I recall the bearish market encounter back in 2018, when Bitcoin was like down to 3k from 7k.  Surely many people had panicked, but for me it was plenty of opportunity to buy more. If I just expected it to had surged to this price right now, I could have bought a 1 whole coin.

The only people who like a bear market are those who were unable to purchase during the dip. That is why they always want another bear market when a bull cycle is triggered, and the funny aspect is that they will never purchase even if we have another bear market, but perhaps this time will be different since people have learned the benefits of bull markets.

Lol.. anyone that have coin will like a bear market of cryptocurrency, because the process a bear market arises the more profits people get through their coins, i may say that people that will dislike the increment of cryptocurrencies currently is people that is preparing to purchase a coins, because right now it's obvious that purchasing a currency or a coin when the market is high is at the buyer's risk, because market can fall unexpectedly and it  can rise unexpectedly too, so when this happens it obvious that the people that purchase at that period is at loose side of the market.

1. The best time to build a long term portfolio is in bear market
This will be only work for investors who take profit at every interval. Because if as an investor you just hold without having a share of your portfolio often when the bear market comes you would be taken unaware and what if you get faced with issues that would Warrant you to sell.
Bear market is the best time to build up portfolio for investors who have a strategy in anticipation for the bear.

The very best time to cover up for all the opportunities missed although you can never get it at the very value it was during it's ATLs but one can still get better entry point for new portfolio

3. Bear market reveals which coin is strong and which coin is weak, many coins won't even live through the bear seasons

True but some over hyped projects survive this and recover immediately the bulls are around, that doesn't make them real as they can crash anytime and majority of the altcoins are in this class.

A typical example is the dogecoin project, it survive all bears and get pumped back out immediately other ignorant speculators are attracted to the industry due to bullish signs.

Investors that know what they're doing aren't afraid of bears, because they know that's an opportunity to get their hands on discount Bitcoin. Bears are definitely times to plant your seeds (invest in coins) in anticipation of sowing (profiting) in the future (bulls). It's the best time to buy low which is basically the blueprint to profitable investing or trading.

After going through couple of them, I nowadays see bear market as an opportunity to acquire more. I mean, it isn't always easy to look at your portfolio going down, but after some time you get used to it and don't care about it anymore.

Gotta agree some of them although I really hate the bear market but the positive impact of acquiring more Bitcoin is somewhat makes it better instead of the bull run. Unless of course, if you have acquired more Bitcoin already in the past bear market then what you'll gonna do is just to hodl and wait until the bull market is back.

Some people might not agree with but some will do since they can take any advantage to accumulate more Bitcoin before the bull run but we have a cycle of 4 years before seeing the bull run and new ATH. So it's a long time of accumulation which is helpful if all you did is accumulating more and more Bitcoin over the years.

Yeah, those are correct. That is why a bearish season and a bullish season always compliments each other. Bear and bull cycles are always part of the whole.

What you missed on your list is that a bear market will shake off the weak hands. A bear market every once in a while is actually healthy; it helps the market become stronger and more solid. It is an opportunity for the market to purge the spaghetti hands. It is a period in which Bitcoin is transferred to the diamond hands, those whose belief in Bitcoin is much stronger than others.

2. Bear market don't care about any project, if your project is weak bear market can easily kill the project
3. Bear market reveals which coin is strong and which coin is weak, many coins won't even live through the bear seasons
Unfortunately these two are not true.

For starters the pump groups are always selecting random shitcoins to pump then dump. They always LOVE small shitcoins with small market caps since they can pump them the most. So they target those coins which are coins that are about to die.

Additionally we have seen that even dead coins (coins that don't have a blockchain anymore) can survive on exchanges since majority of altcoin traders don't care about these things. You can find lots of examples from 2017 when such coins were pumped a million percent at a time.

This is why we always say that "altcoin portfolio" is a foolish concept.

1. The best time to build a long term portfolio is in bear market
If you join and build up your portfolio too soon in bear market, you will have loses and have to wait for many months go see profit.

Quote
2. Bear market don't care about any project, if your project is weak bear market can easily kill the project
The bear market does not kill anything. It is projects disappear by themselves. Developers already get good profits in bull market and if they don't have dedication to develop their projects, and only care about money, bear market gives them chance to exit and enjoy their lives.

Good projects with team members who have good dedication for developments, will stay being actively and keep up their developments in bear market.

Quote
3. Bear market reveals which coin is strong and which coin is weak, many coins won't even live through the bear seasons
It takes months for the Bear to filter scam, bad projects and good ones.

Quote
4. You get more quantities of coins if you buy in bear market
Only makes sense if the coins you buy are good ones. You will end with zero capital if you buy shit coins that end with zero trading volume.

The bear market allows you to buy many potential coins to give you a chance to add more amount to your wallet.
When you already make a big profit from your investment, you can buy back whenever the bear market comes so you can start to invest in many coins.
Almost all coins will have a correction for the price to select which coin we want to buy and hold for some time.
Some people will prefer to leave the market to enjoy their profit and come back after some time.

Yes I somewhat agree also.

Points 2. and 3. are irrelevant as they only relate to $hitcoins and I aint got
any, I'm 100% in Bitcoin in the crypto space.

Point 4. is pretty much the same as point 1. If you are going to be squirreling
away Satoshi's on a regular basis the most opportune time is the Bear season.

Like mk4 the Bull seasons make me feel good, I dont feel as bad getting out of
bed at early o'clock to go to the office and work for someone else.

No, but such people fall into the category of the one of the people that did not purchased bitcoin at low price, but there are swing traders that will want the price to fall also, there are other traders that will also want the price to fall, there are some people that take profit when the price increase much more and want to buy at low price, you can not say only people that missed the bull run are the only people that want the price to fall, there are many other people.

But your point is clear, it is true that people that have bitcoin and in huge amount will not want the the price to fall because they will be losing, but yet if the price is falling they should not sell because it will rise back.

It's funny that none of those who have posted above about the advantages of bear markets haven't mentioned the most important one. Bear markets are a great opportunity to begin to learn more about the technology itself, its pros and cons, the impact it has on societal, political, economical aspects of our life, etc. Of course, people can study bitcoin and blockchain regardless of what phase bitcoin is in, it doesn't actually matter because it won't be affecting the technology itself. However, bear markets are arguably the best time to consume useful information because all hype is gone, all talks about quick profits, DeFi, NFTs, and other use cases for blockchain are finally gone, all people who came for profits and not for technology disappear. The market has changed, it is now full of those who understand that bitcoin is something more than merely a way to make a quick buck. All the distortions and distractions are no more, and people left can focus on things that make sense.

True with what you've said. And for the altcoins market, it dictates which projects are going to survive for long term and many will eliminate those that are weak.
But I don't like bear market, it was the time that I have to sell due to a circumstance and that has made me sell at cheap price despite I don't want to.

For me, bear market is profitable if you are lucky enough to place your position in futures trading. In a Facebook group, there’s a certain guy who is calling himself as the “Bearmoon” (a bear with a cigar), in which is he is so “bullish” for BTC to go down instead of moving up. But yes, there are investors and traders who liked the bear market because they want to buy the dip as much as they can and create a strong support level for themselves. That’s just my opinion.

True, I'm still waiting for bear market so I can buy coins like Vechain, Zilliqa, Tron, polkadot, etc at a cheaper price then I will be set for coming years once again, to me crypto market is more like a cycle which occurs every 4 years later, there is nothing better than bear market for those who knows how to use it

So what's dogecoin then, dogecoin is basically a joke yet it has survive multiple bear market and still getting pumped and dumped. Dogecoin has no real utility expect its trading capability  don't be decieve by the gain this project give because when the honeymoon is over majority will be crying just as they (those that invested) did when bitconnect price crashed.

A shitcoin is a shitcoin not minding how long it takes the market to expose the coin as one. Take out the trading capability of these alts and they have nothing to offer. In due time they all lose value and get replaced by another project with similar ideology and probably a copy paste and the circle continues.

Most people don't really want to hear about bear market but bear market always gives us opportunity to buy when the price is really down. As a trader you shouldn't always buy coins with all your fund you should always keep some in your wallet which whenever the bear market comes you will still have money to buy more coins and hold again. There are lot's of shit coins now I believe crypto market is already getting congested so whenever there is a bear market it will reduce the coins in the market because most of all this shit coins will die.

Because all of them using the AI thing to scam people they are just presenting a imaginary project which can blown the peoples mind and think that they are creating a great idea that's why many people got scam on that project way back before.

And yeah bear market situation is the time where we can start to buy those cheap altcoins but we make sure that the one we buy is the one who got potential and always grab the alts which is list at top 100 since they are litte much safe compare to those altcoins who listed below on that numbers.

They didn't take advantage of it since they are afraid that it will dump more than they can't imagine, And mostly this mindset always comes to newbies. If they just understand on how the market works especially with the top alts in them market for sure they will think about that the bear market is good opportunity to buy some good coins at the cheapest price since once bull market season came for sure they will be drag by bitcoin and gain more value.

Personally, I like bear market. Because without a bear market then we'll have very few ways to earn profit from cryptocurrencies. The bear market is good for profit but too risk as well, so we have to be extra careful so that we can not lose our capital in a bear season.

The bear market is a great time to take a step away from crypto and see what goals have you reached, what needs to be tweaked, what new goals need to be set. Nothing good will come of constantly grinding and trying to move forward. Perfect time to plan your new attack on the market when things get active again.

Bear market is profitable when you have money lying around. Without spare money to buy crypto at low prices the bear market is frustrating. It is profitable for traders who already predicted the bear market and saved enough money to buy

1. The best time to build a long term portfolio is in bear market
4. You get more quantities of coins if you buy in bear market
Number one will depend primarily on the strength of conviction of the investor whether to hodl or not because a lot of investors tend to panic and sell off instead of accumulating during a bear season.

Number four is apt but that will depend whether the person has cash set aside for that buying.

Dogecoin has no real utility expect its trading capability  don't
Well, I used to think that way too until I used it and discovered that it's not so. It's used for payment and it has a fast confirmation time with ridiculously low transaction fee. A lot of gambling sites use it. So, when I hear or read people say Dogecoin doesn't have real utility, I tend to vehemently disagree with them now that I know better.

Actually bear market is a chance of making new investment or Buy twice or more with less price. Whales always wait for the bear market and invest their Big capital of money on it.

So that means bear market is good for the man who are holding usdt stable coin.

Bear market may be good, but personally I do not really worry about that when I want to accumulate Bitcoin, I consider either bull or bear market to be a good time to get more Bitcoins into your wallet. The thing is, I'm a long term investor and I don't think I would be selling my stash anytime, so I somewhat consider anytime to be good to acquire more coins, but generally bear markets have one or two advantages that investors and traders do benefit from.

The most important thing about the bear market is the creation of dips which stands as, a possible buying opportunity. Sadly, many individuals often miss the chance. Why? They are always on the lookout for the deepest dip and unfortunately never finds it. While bear market might be investors choice to put in some funds and build there portfolio, it becomes an issue for short term traders or investors who are forced to hold less they make a loss.

Either bear or bull market, one thing is for sure, the both exist to make the market stronger and healthier.

A real crypto enthusiast sees the bear market as a big-time opportunity to acquire more coins. When the bear market takes effect it does seem to newbies as a catastrophic end of many altcoins making many of them(newbies) lose their fate in crypto.
Those that know how the bear market operate, will see it as a golden opportunity to buy more when it's low in price

Most newcomers will come during the hypes and certainly, they become mad once prices just fall. It is a usual feeling for a loser.
While smart investors make an entry during the bear season and fill their portfolios ready for the big events (Bullrun).
Kinda have two different types of investors and two different mindsets.

Yeah, bear season somewhat gives us an easy job to determine what coin/s has the potential as shitcoins will surely die and won't survive from the dip while potential coins gain recovery faster as per to see.

Inasmuch as this 4 points are true, a Crypto Trader is still supposed to do his technical analysis thoroughly before buying any coin at Dip, else your losses will take longer time to recover

When BTC dipped from $60K to $50k to $40k, a crypto trader who saw the dip and went in with huge capital at $50K for example, will make serious losses because BTC eventually got to dip more till about $25K, that's about 60% dip

So a trader who saw the dip at $50K and went for it, will make serious losses when it had gotten to $25K and it took over 3 months to return to that 'buy' position, that's just the point where he makes back his capital, not even talking of profits yet

It takes a very patient trader to wait for that long.

What am I saying? Inasmuch as there's a dip and traders are expected to boost their portfolios, it's advisable to do proper TA to atleast estimate how long the dip would probably last to know the right time to go in.
