Buying a house with just 1 BTC depends on the location in my country. In fact, very developed areas in my country are expensive, 1 BTC is not even capable of buying a plot (100 x 50ft) of land in some areas in my country, so it greatly depends on the location as the purchasing power also differs from state to state and from state capitals to remote areas. But the fact still remain that 1 BTC has grown from a very small value to an unimaginable high value.

1 Bitcoin in my country is worth 3,077,000 Philippine money with a current price(http://preev.com/btc/php) and that's huge money here and they can even call you a millionaire.

That is such a broad question. The cost depends on what and where.
For example I live in a semi-developed country where the cost of living is ridiculously low. You can basically live on about 0.0012 to 0.0024BTC per month! But for example rent differs a little city by city although the rest (groceries, utilities, etc.) cost the same.

It's the same about house/land. The cost varies based on location. Some places it is very high like the capital where 1BTC would buy a small apartment but in some other less populated areas you could buy a big house with that much such as the 1000 square meters one below:

Back again to taste, sometimes people have a consumptive nature and don't really think about the return of what they spend. If I have 1 bitcoin and choose to spend it, then I'd rather divert some of that into a business, where I can generate regular and long term returns. For example, buying a mini market, hotel, restaurant, or whatever.

I am currently based in a developing country and here there are so many things that even 1 BTC can buy. Here I am attaching a picture of a house...which can be constructed with the proceeds of 1 BTC at the current price here. As a developing country, materials are still relatively cheap though they rose partly because of the pandemic where supplies got shrunk and of course the labor cost here is not yet astronomical. So in you still have 1 BTC you can come here in my country and build a house plus some needed appliances and gadgets inside.

This is not my country,,, but I can be considered a resident here and to make a note, this is the most expensive country in Asia, minus Japan and South Korea.

This is also not a post for what 1 BTC can buy (nothing useful) but to give an idea what it really can help you even in the most expensive country in Asia.

For 1 BTC it is enough for a 5% downpayment on this property, for which you also get a matching government grant. For 90% of people,,, they cannot afford this but if you manage to put downpayment and grant that means you only have 90% to pay for 30 years.

In 30 years it is likely your property doubles as land in Singapore is as everyone knows limited, and you for sure sell higher than you bought, all the time.

But if you are smart,,, you buy a bit outside the city LANDED property for half the price.

Meaning for 1 BTC you can get 20% of the house paid and pay off the land (extremely rare commodity) in tiny Singapore.

1 Bitcoin is worth around 53,900 EUR on October 18.

It will be quite difficult to turn 1 BTC into euro with a single operation. 100% it will be monitored by government and 20% income tax must be paid. Or you will lose around 10% after using "shady cash out" service. (it is impossible to pay directly with crypto)

The best logical usage would be buying property. For 43-45k EUR it will be possible to get decent looking 1 room flat (about 40m2 in house like Khrushchyovka (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khrushchyovka)) with ikea like furniture, electrical appliances and etc. It will be a corner flat (these one are always cold or it will be often damp at home) or on the first floor.

Or if you use a shady option, you might be lucky to get same type of flat, but with 2 rooms/higher floor/better furniture and electrical appliances.

But it will be worse offer on the market. It will be a almost like a box on first floor with <30m2. No furniture, no electrical appliances, first floor.

P.S. 1 room flat it does not mean "1 room + bedroom" (which is typical for US). It will be just 1 room and a kitchen.

With tax imposed on foreign cars in my country (Malaysia), that would only be sufficient to afford a single-motor Tesla Cybertruck, and that's only 40 grand.

Isn't Hong Kong the most expensive country in Asia? Ive been to Singapore many times and yes, things might be more expensive especially housing but government housing is pretty affordable (i.e. you don't pay several million for a toilet)

Inflation is going up everywhere so it's not easy to say exact prices and I expect to see much higher Bitcoin price in future, but at the moment here you can buy a really nice brand new car (example here Audi A4) with full equipment for 1 BTC.

At the time of making this post, 1 Bitcoin is $62,460 and that's an equivalent of N35,289,900 in naira, my local fiat. The below car is a 2008 model RX350, Tokunbo in pristine condition priced at N5.3 million. At that cost, 1 Bitcoin can get you six of that car with left over cash of N3,489,900 which can do for a few months fueling for all six cars.

Although you can not buy this house in the main city center, but you can buy it nearby city and it will be very near. I am not revealing my exact location that's why download the photo from Google. But you can buy exactly the same house or could build the same house for 1 Bitcoin.

In the Philippines 1 Bitcoin is equivalent to 3,374,979.12 pesos. I could buy a lot of things or even start a business like for example buying a farm. You can benefit from a business like farming if you know how to handle it.

If ever i had 1 bitcoin this will be the two choices i have to choose to buy. Whether a house or a farm to start a business.

YOSHIE, I'm sure it all depends on our individual tastes. If that's me, then I think I just want to build one $25K - $30K minimalist house filled with mining rigs inside for $30K. I think if we have 1 bitcoin as an asset then we should have a mindset to let our asset work hard to generate profit for its owner rather than we have to work to collect asset. At current price, 1 BTC = 5.3m ($62800) BDT though it should be a little higher.
According to nationsencyclopedia (https://www.nationsencyclopedia.com/economies/Asia-and-the-Pacific/Bangladesh-POVERTY-AND-WEALTH.html), 20% richest people control 42% wealth while 40% poor people have 20% of the wealth only. I could have given a better picture if there's a stat on the classification of rich/poor by holding wealth amount.
However, BDT 5.3 million is somewhat a big amount and anyone can easily be settled with a business here. I believe 60% people don't have this amount of wealth.
Anyway, in Bangladesh, land and house properties are something people want to own. Anyone having an apartment in Dhaka considered as rich person. And you can have that with 1 BTC at current price. However, in my case, I would be pretty happy to buy a small island instead of this land, house property etc.

This is one reason I hate to be in Dhaka and I don’t want to own such worst property, talking about all these electricity and other cable. Now investing in a land in Nigeria is one big business to do with bitcoin. A land unlike cars don't deprecate rather it increases in value and worth with development and amenities coming around it.
So buying a plot of land with measurement of 100 by 50 in feet like the one represented below in chart in that location is definitely a good further hodl in land for bitcoin converted into fiat ;D

The piece of land above in that area at the time now is worth 7,000, that is about 4,000,000 in Naira and with the rate of bitcoin you can buy 6 or 7 of such plot and continue to hodl. But this same plot of land last year was priced at 3,000,000 and previous year in 2019 was 2,300,000 and which means it has potential steady increase to the rate of a million naira yearly. This plot has finished edifices of houses surrounding it costing around 35,000,000 - 40,000,000 (between $60,000 to $70,000,000).
The rate of increase is basically around $2,000,000 yearly, going with 6 pieces is $12,000 already. and so it is a good ROI if hodling one bitcoin in plots of lands.

I have to admit that I am surprised with real estate prices in some countries, because for 1 BTC which is currently around $60k or 50k+ EUR you can buy a dream house + a good car, and you still have money left to make a party. For example, for 1 BTC I can't buy any luxury house or apartment, maybe something average in a less good location. But here are a few examples that I found interesting.

I guess a lot depends on location. I am US based, but @ $61500 at the moment if you want to live in the middle of nowhere you can get this and have enough left over for a nice vacation and some money furniture and renovations:

The cost of a house and lot depends on the location. A 1Btc worth of house will be a very luxurious and huge house in a rural areas compared to the houses built in urban areas where the city is very accessible.

However, If I happen to own a whole piece of Bitcoin, I might not buy these kind of luxuries rather I'd like to put up a business where I can grow financially long term.

It's quite mad seeing how people are listing houses here, in Wales which has historically been a little cheaper for housing in history (except for post Covid boom) 44k is only going to get you half a house, and that would have to be in the valleys, and would likely need a lot of work done to it, and definitely doesn't look like the houses being posted here.

40k is a decent deposit for a mortgage here though.

Saw this on the internet, worth almost a million pesos ($18,216), a Spanish Mediterranean two-storey (2BR) house. The rest of it will be spent on appliances, furniture such as dining, living sets, etc., and other stuff.

Houses are quite expensive here. Appartments, etc. Cars also. It's insane. At least, comparing to our minimum wage (monthly, which I think it's known to be one of the lowest in EU)

For this money, you can find apartment flat of 50-100 square meters in various parts of the country. You can't find a house for this price in big cities and good neighborhoods.

If I were to sell 1 BTC right now on local exchange, I'd get 3500000 INR.

There is 30% tax on crypto conversion, so left over amount would be 2450000 INR.

With this amount, you could get 2 acre (~1200000 INR/acre) land in village, ~5 KM from main city.

In one of posh society (close to main city) near me, you'd get 2700 sq.ft plot for 1800000 INR. You wouldn't be able to complete house with left over amount if you were to buy a plot here.

Better idea is to buy acre of land and build a house on it. You get area to farm stuff as well and buy bike worth 80000-100000 INR for your commute to main city.

I think the current price of Bitcoin today is way beyond that amount you are actually specifying due to the recent pump in price. As for today the current price of 1Bitcoin is Nigeria way beyond 27million if you actually want to sell off in any CEX or DEX in the crypto space.

That's a whooping sum of 44million naira and that's almost twice of the actual price you stated and this could even buy more assets here in Nigeria.
Well i think Bitcoin is set to even soar higher but I think with the current price today of worth of about 44million naira, 1 Bitcoin can certainly guarantee you a life of luxury by acquiring a 5 bedroom duplex and a bmw car of worth millions of naira.

With the current bitcoin price of 34k, I would probably just buy myself 2 of these Toyota Trueno AE86, and if I'm lucky I might buy 3 and the leftover money would be used for restorations and then I can sell these restored bad boys to other car enthusiasts that are a fan of the anime Initial D, this car was the main car of the protagonist and 90s kids who got the money will pay top dollar to have one.

I posted about real estate then and things were slightly weird in terms of real estate in the past couple of years. If we ignore inflation (measure in terms of bitcoin) price in certain areas are the same with little rise but in certain other areas like my neighborhood has had an explosive growth! Basically if I had sold my bitcoins and bought the house next to me, I would have made a lot more profit in this timeframe :P

In any case I did some exploring and apparently a small villa like this in my city goes for about 0.76BTC these days

As of the time of writing this post 1 Bitcoin is currently valued at #74.6 million Nigerian Naira, which is quite a huge sum of money capable of opening a semi transport company, because I just made a little research about the price of an 18 seater bus, and could find out that the price of each "foreign use" bus cost just only #13.5 million Naira, which means that with 1 Bitcoin, which is equivalent to #74.6 million, one should be able to afford buying at least 5 (i.e #13,500,000 x 5 = #67,500,000) while still left with an extra #7.1 million for maintenance & smooth running of the transport company. Hence, if by chance I'm lucky to own full 1 BTC today, I swear I will hurry go start a semi transport company today with this 5 buse, which I'm sure likely to generate nothing less than #1million daily.

According to today's market, the current price of Bitcoin is $63,214.84 dollars. At this price of Bitcoin, a total of 6958057.43৳ (taka) will be available in our local currency.

If I take a Bitcoin exchange and convert it to our local currency, I can buy a BMW 430i xDrive Coupe with that money.

We as common people have dreams of a nice house and a car. But in my country the cost of building a house is somewhat less but the cost of a toned car is comparatively high. a whole 1 Bitcoin is able to fulfill both these dreams of my Bangladesh.

Today's price of 1 bitcoin here is around 7 Million BDT which was more than 8 Million BDT 2 days ago even before the current market crash. And with this money it is possible to buy a nice duplex house and a normal standard car in my country. with which it is possible to live a simple but somewhat improved life. Current price of Bitcoin in my local currency is at ₱3,705,733.00 that is equivalent to $65,276.00 so with that money I can buy a lot of things but my priority would be to finish my 7 years old partially built house because I ran out of funds on it up until now and I think $12,436.99 or ₱705,733 would be enough to make it liveable for me and my family. The remaining ₱3,000,000 will be allocated for a family car worth ₱1,000,000, agricultural land as an investment worth ₱1,000,000 and a commercial space worth ₱1,000,000 so I will be having a passive monthly income.
