We are building a quantum-safe Dogecoin, called Qogecoin.
The mining algorithm is yescryptr16 and it is CPU and GPU minable.

Why do we need quantum-safe cryptography?
Classical signatures are based on elliptic curves. Which are safe as long as calculating prime factors of large numbers is a hard problem.
Schor's algorithm shows that on a quantum computer this problem is not hard. Therefore we will introduce a second address type which is quantum-safe.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-quantum_cryptography

If you want Qogecoin, just mine it. And if Qogecoin is one day listed on exchanges, please only invest what you can afford to lose. This is just a de-central project like Bitcoin, there is no company behind it.

FAQs:

Why is it mineable?
We think there is no fair distribution without mining. We choose an ASIC resistant algorithm, so everyone can mine it.

Why do you start with classical addresses (secp256k1 with the ECDSA algorithm)?
We want that our blockchain is very easy to integrate, so it will have multiple address types. At first, it will have just the normal address type, so it is easy for users, mining pools, block explorers and
exchanges to integrate our coin. It also enables features like atomic swaps.
Later we will introduce a second address type which is quantum save. Transactions between both addresses will be executable.

Which signature schemes will you use for the quantum save addresses?

Very probable Falcon-512

We will not restart ;) 4% of the total share is for the developers. So 96% is fair minable. This is a very fair distribution for everyone.
We believe that projects are more successful when developers share in the success of the project.
You want some of the 4%? Then please help us to develop this coin and collaborate with us on GitHub.

Good luck.

50% of the coins are distributed in first year
25% of the coins are distributed in second year
12.5% of the coins are distributed in third year
6.25%    ...
3.125%  ...

Like Bitcoin, but with 1/4 of the halving time.

Hi, i have nothing against the 4% that was not me complaining about it but about what you'VE said i'd be interested participating in development to get a share of the premined. What can i do exactly? I've seen some stuff i could add but not sure you guys would be interested. Or perhaps would you like a webwallet or a finished explorer, or a mobile app for Android etc..?

The site is not available.
There is such a cryptocurrency Tidecoin.
They use Falcon - Fast-Fourier Lattice-based Compact Signatures over NTRU.
Quote
The cryptography used by Tidecoin is falcon-512 which is one of NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology)'s finalists for Post-Quantum security standards. This will make Tidecoin to keep on ensuring its security characteristics even faced with quantum computers.

Hi,
We've added Qoge (QOGE) to http://zpool.ca/algo/yescryptR16. See below for connection details.

Fee only: 0.5% or less
BTC payouts are processed once a day for balances above 0.0015
Payouts for all other currencies are made automatically every 4 hours for balances above 0.05 and balances more than 0.0125 are included in one of the payouts each day.

- Sample configurations -
To mine yescryptR16 and get paid in QOGE:
Code:
-a yescryptR16 -o stratum+tcp://yescryptR16.mine.zpool.ca:6333 -u QOGE_ADDRESS -p c=QOGE

Exchange to BTC:
Code:
-a yescryptR16 -o stratum+tcp://yescryptR16.mine.zpool.ca:6333 -u BTC_ADDRESS -p c=BTC
Exchange to BTC but mine only QOGE:
Code:
-a yescryptR16 -o stratum+tcp://yescryptR16.mine.zpool.ca:6333 -u BTC_ADDRESS -p c=BTC

All of our ports are NiceHash friendly, no need to specify any extra details

Qogecoin now builds on Ubuntu 20.04 and 21.10. The repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin is not required anymore.
We added the script "install_dependencies.sh" to the Qogecoin repository to install the dependencies and build berkeley-db from source.
Also thank you to shmutalov and f04ever for their contributions.

you can at this moment earn much with mining (cpu/gpu)

1 qogecoin costs about 40-80 satoshi. this is roundabout 3-5 dollarcent.
if you mine 1000qogecoins a day, this is about 30-50dollar.

if you want to sell to usdt, then you get better conversation and more money

soon Qogecoin will be safe from quantum computers attacks.

Quote

Quantum-safe signatures¶

Qogecoin will introduce a quantum-safe signature type for addresses.

We are currently waiting for the results of the NIST post-quantum safety competition to ensure that we choose an academically approved signature scheme.

See e.g. PQClean/PQClean and open-quantum-safe/liboqs for implementations.

developer explains why qoge coin will be successfull

Quote
Is Qogecoin a good coin?

Our coin is per default better than the most cryptocurrencies. The tokenomics is deflationary (vs. dogecoin) but not to deflationary (vs. tidecoin), the mining algorithm is ASIC resistant (vs. Bitcoin) it is GPU and CPU minable (vs. ETHereum). With DarkGravity3 we protect us against attacks from mining pools, which want to profit from slow difficult adjustment. It is a memecoin and we (the devs) are working active on it with new technologies like Bazel, Clang/LLVM, HIP.
We appreciate real criticism and suggestions for improvement and we don't like to ban people from our server because we value free expression of speech. But if you keep trolling, we will ban you.

Can quantum encryption really be done?

It has already been done. Multiple algorithms, including techically production-ready implementations are already available. Compared to the other points in our roadmap, it is actually not that hard to integrate these algorithms into Qogecoin. The algorithms that are in the final round of the NIST post-quantum competition are called CRYSTALS-DILITHIUM, FALCON and Rainbow. We will choose one of these algorithms. The NIST competition that evaluates these algorithms is still ongoing and the current implementations are still being tweaked for e.g. runtime performance, so we cannot make a final decision just yet.

At the moment, the largest projects are not concerned with creating protection against quantum computers. This is not very relevant.
This has more theoretical and applied significance, a kind of polygon of ideas and a groundwork for the future.
But there are over 600 miners in mining now, including me, this is just an experiment and it is very interesting how things will develop further.

For the straightforward pathway had been lost.
Ah me! how hard a thing it is to say
What was this forest savage, rough, and stern,
Which in the very thought renews the fear.
So bitter is it, death is little more;
But of the good to treat, which there I found,
Speak will I of the other things I saw there.

Every project has its raison d'ętre. Some are exciting because of signatures (Monero and Zcash), others because of smart contracts (Ethereum) or consensus mechanisms (Algorand, Fantom). Some projects are just funny (Dogecoin, HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu).

The purpose of Qogecoin is to introduce more secure signatures. This is definitely meaningful and beneficial to the blockchain sector.
Everyone must decide for themselves whether it is worth using resources. (Source: Discord)

But it depends on how they will perform in the trading market. What do you think will be the reason why people will buy this coin? We know that most coins have only good price at the beginning of trading. But as weeks passed, it will slowly decline up until there's no more value. So do you think qoge can sustain the interest of buyers here?

Just give it some time and we will see. It does not need to have big trading now. As Qoge will develop futher, the interesting part will come with that. We all have seen coins that took some time to rise up.

Update on the miner:

We successfully created build system overlays for the four AMD repositories HIP, hipamd, ROCclr and ROCm-OpenCL-Runtime. CUDA also seems to work fine.

Instead of building all these repositories separately we now only need a single command to build all of them. We do not depend on the AMDs HIP-clang compiler, and we do not need NVIDIAs nvcc compiler. Everything compiles with a regular LLVM/Clang toolchain. Building this entire AMD stack now takes us less than 15 seconds

We are currently working on adding a build system overlay for ROCm-Device-Libs as the last piece of the puzzle, which requires us to create a toolchain for compilation from LLVM IR to LLVM Bitcode. Then we will be able to compile GPU kernels for both AMD and NVIDIA with a single command .

rules_ll has been released.

https://github.com/qogecoin/rules_ll

rules_ll has various benefits over other toolchains.

rules_ll produces statically linked executables per default. This means that executables built with rules_ll have no dependencies on the underlying operating system.

Since we use upstream LLVM/Clang, there is practically no compiler toolchain that will produce faster binaries. If someone pushes an optimization to the LLVM repo today, it is instantly available with rules_ll. Currently, the rules_ll toolchain is roughly 6 months ahead of the toolchains 'regularly' available in package distributions (Clang 15.0.0  ).

We plan to add more features from the LLVM project such as automatic compilation database generation for clang-tidy.
Ah and for end users this all means that the entire downloading of dependencies, building of the toolchain and compiling of custom code is done via a single command like

bazel build myproject

Thats it. No further setup required. So end users clone a repo that uses rules_ll, execute that command and they have an executable

Why you think so? Where is your proof?

The Developer didnt sell any Qogecoin till now and the Whales buy more and more. The price is really low. Scam makes here no sense.

Nowadays you could tell Scam-Alert to any Altcoin.

For me it is a good project. And soon the Whitepaper will be released.

@qogekun and I discussed the test infrastructure we will use to test the new signature scheme.

We will containerize the Qogecoin core and then use Kubernetes manifests to start multiple full nodes in a local Kubernetes cluster. This should be easy because we do not need to think about ingresses, load balancers etc. We only need it to run locally for testing.

Then we can test how different signature schemes change the communication (and transaction) speeds and stability of the network.

If things work as we expect we may be able to use "classic" cloud monitoring tools (e.g. Kiali) via service meshes (e.g. Istio) to investigate traffic properties when using different signature schemes.

Essentially we want to be able to start a complete local Qogecoin testnet with one click.

Since Qogecoin uses almost the same codebase as Bitcoin, Litecoin etc this approach should also work with minimal adjustments to create e.g. local Bitcoin testnets.

As soon as this works with full nodes we can start looking into lightning nodes. Ideally we want to have a "one click lightning node" deployment for existing kubernetes apps such as online stores.

So in short: We will have soon the Qogecoin testnet. But the testnet will be a local Kubernetes cluster.

besides, there was a team meeting:

We have great news: Check out our GitHub repository, Qogecoin is now based on Bitcoin v. 23.99.0
If you are an exchange or a mining pool, please update now. We will soon release the windows build.

Before you update: BACK UP YOUR WALLET

The database is different now, you have to delete your .qogecoin folder BUT: Your wallet is inside that folder.
So: BACK UP YOUR WALLET

Qogecoin will support now Segwit(after blog 400.000), Taprot, MultiSig, Atomic Swaps, Lightning, ...

Some thoughts on the implementation of Quantum safe Signatures and the future of Qogecoin:

There are 3 ways to do it:

1 Way: We take something like Falcon, Dilithium or Sphincs+
The advantage: Stateless
The disadvantage: Big signatures, big blockchain size

2. Way: We take something like Merkle signature schemes, like XMSS
The advantage: Little Public keys, little Signatures
The disadvantage: State

3. Way: We take a signature that has a very little Signature size and a big public key. We only use the hashes of the public keys in the blocks.
We additionally introduce a key pool that contains all public keys. An alternative would be to make the public key reveal only 1 time, after that
you just can use the hash maybe with a block number reference.
The advantage: Scalable, Efficient, little Blocks
The disadvantage: It's a big redesign

Introduced relative_includes, relative_angled_includes, transitive_relative_includes and transitive_relative_angled_includes in https://github.com/eomii/rules_ll/releases/tag/20220612.0 (https://github.com/eomii/rules_ll/releases/tag/20220612.0). These let us use workspace-relative imports in our build files. This makes custom dependency overlays much easier to maintain.

Before this change we had to use something like
Code:
includes=['external/dependency/somepath']
to use custom include paths. This was already not pretty before bzlmod, but didn't really manifest itself as an issue since old workspace includes had no version numbers and as such would stay usable across updates.

With bzlmod every dependency has a version number, so these paths became
Code:
includes=['external/dependency.version/somepath']
This made it very painful to maintain overlays, as we had to bump that version in every instance of these include attributes.

With the new relative attributes we can now simply use
Code:
relative_includes=['somepath']
to achieve the same. So we no longer need to update every attribute instance when we bump a version. The old way is still present so that we can use out-of-tree local include paths such as
Code:
includes=['/usr/local/include']

A big quality of life improvement :D

We made a new release: https://github.com/qogecoin/qogecoin/releases/tag/v.23.100.0

There was a bug in the new wallet, so we had to change the bech32 prefix.
The bech32 prefix will be "bq" and the harfork will happen in about 24h.

What makes Qogecoin better than other cryptocurrencies that boast some form of hardness to a quantum threat?
securefreak

I'll answer, since no one else has. Nothing, right now.
and it will remain that way until something tangible is produced that can take advantage of the coin.
Right now the only way to hold QOGE is a wallet that requires a desktop computer and that only works on Windows and Linux right now. An Mac wallet apparently is being worked on but unsure if it works with the new macs with M1/2 processors
So until either the people who created the coin get things out or there is more involvement in the community to help them, there is not really anything that stands out at all right now
neqochan
 —
Additionally to what @securefreak said, it should be mentioned that we are the only QS-focused cryptocurrency that is upstream with Bitcoin. This means that we build on a very stable, well tested codebase.

This is a stark contrast to most other Altcoins in general, which are usually based on very old versions of bitcoin or litecoin. We were originaly also based on such an old codebase and had a hardfork a few weeks ago to migrate all functionality such as segwit. This makes Qogecoin a lot feature-richer by default than most altcoins regardless of quantum safety.

Some currencies have completely custom codebases, but unless one has a huge team like Solana, I don't think it is feasible to implement something from scratch. We have very high standards regarding production quality of software in general and completely writing a Blockchain from scratch that satisfies these requirements is currently unrealistic for us.

Apart from Quantum safety we focus heavily on infrastructure that is viable in the long term. I don't think there are many other Altcoins where the developers are contributing fixes to open source projects like Clang/LLVM and hipSYCL (and likely the experimental Carbon language soon) to make the absolute bleeding edge of software infrastructure usable for their Project.

The merge is coming. We will made a new release with a checkpoint. Many GPU miners will be looking for new chains and we want to make sure they can't change the Qogecoin history with more hashing power.

This will be the last release from this Qogecoin repository. We will soon release a new codebase with a much cleaner commit history. This will make it easier for us to always stay upstream to Bitcoin. The new codebase will replace Qogecoin/Qogecoin on Github so that nothing will change for you

We started to work on Qogecoin 2.0
Qogecoin 2.0 will be a completely new Layer 1 chain and quantum-safe from block 0.
We will deprecate the Bitcoin Codebase, Qogecoin 2.0 will be based on Ethereum.
It will be 100% EVM compatible, so you can build amazing projects with smart contracts on it.
When we are done with development, you can swap your Qogecoin 1.0 for Qogecoin 2.0.
It will be also based on POW.

We wrote a mini wallet with quantum-safe signatures. It is highly beta, we will use FALCON Round 3 in production,
but liboqs supports only the round 2 standard right now.

Its a meme thing carved out of pure compassion toward humans largely lost around coinmarketcap charts and rankings. No one knows why dipshits make meme coins in coin constructor in copious amounts. Not even them. I guess the reason is that crypto collective anticipates a looming bull market starting just in days or maybe weeks, with its sweeping effect on every crypto thing out there.
