Title: Dice machine
Post by: Tellek Garing on October 21, 2021, 02:52:12 PM
Dice have been one of my favorite gambling game and am thinking of installing a dicing machine in my home just for fun, my 17 years old son is good in playing computer games and am thinking of introducing him to gambling after all he is going to learn it whatever ways if I don't teach him how to handle gambling risk and avoid being addicted. The need to have a dicing machine at home becomes paramount and am wondering which dice machine I can go for?

I preferred to don't mind your business about your parenting but you should at least let your son brought this subject to you. It looks like you are open about gambling so I think he will surely ask you about it. Anyway the only dicing machine that i know is the one use for Sicbo since it's the only famous game that using that except the online dice game. Slot machine is more entertaining than dice machine though. There's a lot of Dice Machine on sale on Alibaba but it was bundle to Sicbo props.

You don't have to install or buy a dicing machine. Having a computer is already enough for playing dice. But as you mentioned that you want to let your son play for it.
Think of it a hundred times before allowing him so. Are you sure that you're allowing your kid to play dice? It will make you worry whenever he's already addicted on it.

What dice game do you mean exactly? Because there can be several of them, and the one that's played on crypto gambling sites can be not similar to that that you love to play. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's not the same game, because I can't imagine a physical "dice machine" for a game like this

Regarding telling your son about gambling risks, I think it's a good idea. Hardly anyone will explain it better to him than you, his father.

Dice machine?
For your house ?
Isn't it too much for you to be teaching your son this. Maybe he would not gamble in the future, well this way you would be introducing him to gambling in an indirect way. Even if you wanted it to be a positive thing, it might end up getting converted into a more of a serious concern. I do think if you do want to teach him all these you should wait for him to turn 18 and after that you should genuinely just try these games out online. It's not a good idea to install a machine, is it now ??

I don't understand why anyone would teach their children to gamble like this, it's quite irresponsible really. Then again, I don't understand why anyone would find dice an enjoyable entertainment activity when it's so boring and repetitive with absolutely zero skill involved. You're not going to teach your kid a single thing, other than some people can get addicted to the most monotonous and tedious "games". A responsible parent would be teaching their children that gambling is a fools game and they are much better off investing their time into more productive pursuits - even "boring" old gaming involving no sort of betting or micro-transactions can reap plenty of reward.

If I were you, I would ask why my son likes computer games.

If he likes it because he can make money, then I will teach him a faster method of earning with luck, one of which is playing dice. But, still I want it slowly. Wanted to buy a 17 year old kid's dice machine, it was too much of a rush.

If for reasons of liking game graphics, I would prefer to buy him a higher spec computer so that he is more serious about his hobby. Even if he finally decides to become a gambler, online games can be his gambling medium in addition to being a game player himself.

To handle gambling risks? did I hear wrong? You are trying to teach your child to gamble and one day he will become addicted before he can control himself?
I think if you just make your son's mind worse for knowing the gambling his father taught him.
Nothing is really good, whereas on the computer everything is available. Physical dice machine settings and online dice machine settings are clearly different, will it be effective?

After all, you as a father, is there nothing you can teach that is much more useful than teaching gambling?

this is what you mean Hot Electric dice machine (https://alibaba.com/product/1600328000420/Hot-Electric-dice-machine-mini-lottery.html?) to have fun
why not teach something else but well it's your right if you want to teach your child to play gambling however ,the risk in the future is likely to worsen when your child is addicted without realizing it ,playing games on the computer there are many who can earn instead of having to play gambling

Well I don't want to comment on your parenting skill, but this one doesn't sound like a good idea to me. The chance of addiction is much higher if you have a dice machine at home. We all learn about gambling at young age only but we also learn to avoid the risks at the same time. So I feel that having a dice machine at home will only encourage your son to gamble rather than discouraging him. So think before you leap!

I wouldn't go that route though, why you need to introduce your son to gambling? This is the first time that I heard parents wanted their kid to be involved in this vices? For sure we learn how to gamble from an early age, but in my case if was not my parents who teaches me, but my friends and peers in school? So I totally disagree with you mate, sorry.

You're weird, if dice gambling is your favorite, you shouldn't pass it on to your child because it's a very wrong idea, and you actually know the risks your child will face if he or she later becomes an addict.
because you are planning to install a dice machine in your home and if that happens, don't you think far because your child will spend his time just playing dice at home? and whatever the reason it's not good.
make your child better than you and do not follow in your footsteps if it is not good so that later it becomes a useful and successful child.

Better not to do anything when it comes on making this kind of step because you would just mold up your son on being a gambler. What if he would find that dice gambling would be interesting or looks
fun?

The thing you've been trying to stop will definitely be that a big problem of yours when things turns out to be opposite. If you do like for your son to be able to
avoid gambling then proper awareness and make him realize would be the real deal.

Dont try out to make out things which might poke up his interest and would end up on addiction.

You don't need to buy that, you can just have a ordinary dice and you can play it at home.

But I'm totally against teaching your children dice or any form of gambling. You of all the people knows the danger and risk of gambling so I will steer him/her away.

^

I don't think that playing craps can lead to any negative consequences if the game is educational in nature, which will reveal to the kid the real probabilities of this or that outcome of an event, rather than what he can see on the Internet streaming shows. No one can explain the negative aspects of gambling to a teenager better than his father who is one of the closest people.

usually, parents are avoiding as much as possible to introduce any form of gambling to his kids, but this one is the opposite.  :P i hope the OP will re-consider his decision on this matter and weigh the possible consequences of this action. even if your kid is good in playing computer games, it is not in your best interest to introduce your kid to gambling. yes, he will learn this game from outside, but i dont think it is smart idea if you will introduce it first. we really have different approaches in parenting here. but he knows best what is good for his son though.

Depends on how you provide learning or will just make your child become addicted. I hope that you don't provide an exact version of the dice game as in gambling. Maybe you can give something more to teaching how to calculate probability as madnessteat says.

It is indeed the opposite because as a parent you wouldnt really like or let your children to get involved with gambling or any activity which would really correlate into that which its just dumb that you are the ones who
is tolerating for him to become one and its much better to stop this kind of idea because not all children will really be ending up on realizing things on the time you do explain to them via making some demo because
this isnt something that things you would want to happen. It would be much better if you do tell him via verbal and not from actual gaming.

What’s the need to buy a dice machine where you can play this online and since your son is a gamer I’m pretty sure dice game can be access on his own computer.

Educating your son about the possible risk of gambling is a must but I don’t think you need to teach him how to play, you are just pushing him to gamble and you’re putting him into bigger risk, he’s too young for this.

Computer games these days are different in gambling though, particularly for a simple dice game. Just let him to comes at you first to ask about gambling since he probably knows that you gambles and wait til he ask you anything regarding the risks and etc.

Buying the gambling machine is fine to me besides of what others are saying, it will only looks like a household play/entertainment when he or you or anyone is AFK. Educating him about gambling is good but introducing him first about gambling and etc. will only push him to become a future gambler, worst gambling addict.

Dicing machine? so this is a physical game?

Never heard of it before as I usually play dice online, and I think it's more fun to play online since you can put a bet and you can win or lose real money.
Regarding telling your son about the risk, that's very important and I admire you with that as normally minors today are very aggressive in gambling once they lean and they don't consider the risk anymore.

Having a dice machine at home could stare up addiction. Educating him about gambling and exposing him on how to manage greed and emotions in gambling is cool. But setting up a dice machine at home could mean you engaging in a risky adventure. I would rather suggest you both visit the gambling house often so you can watch him control his greed and emotions as pertaining to gambling so you would be able to spot out areas you would guide him on

The OP's son is underage in a world of gambling and I think, just let your son play other virtual games that don't involve gambling itself. The risk part is that probably young teenagers now get addicted to gambling and cant recover themself if we as a parent won't guide them on their daily activity because everything now is online and it could be triggered by these underaged people.

Seriously, when we want to complicate ourselves or we want to troll,  the skills are immense, you can buy a monopoly, so you teach it to manage the money and you teach the traditional dice to roll, the other thing that you intend is not really clear how you will try to do it, anyway it is valid to tell that you may teach morality and the good habits of life, responsibility, etc. that can serve for any game and in general in any life situation in the future.

Just teach yourself child about the game and don't feed him that it can be used on gambling bets like a household game involving money. Eventually if he'd able to determine that it can be enjoyed with the presence of money, that's the time addiction comes in which couldn't be controlled. Young people is vulnerable on this field, but taking gambling games as a form of fun games I guess it won't make us drowned when money isn't a part of it.

If you think he can handle it and can control himself when addicted to gambling then you can go on.  I learned cards and dice when we are still kids betting our pennies during that time and learned gambling didn't get me addicted to gambling even when there is no parents telling me to stop. Are you sure that at such a young age your son is ready to start gambling? I'm sure your intentions are right, but the mind of a person so young may not be able to handle it. In my opinion, this is too much of a risk to practically teach him to play. Maybe start with the theory at the beginning, and then teach him to practice.

OP's point that sooner or later his son will learn to gamble. He just wanted to make sure that he's going to guide it right by introducing gambling to his son. I'm not going to do that if I'm in OP's shoe, I rather find every way to keep my sons away from gambling and extent of my protections in order to lessen the chance of him to learn these activities.

We don't know what are the capacities of our kids in handling this situation, even we provide all the precautions getting addicted is very possible to happen.

Be very furious your kids' future always on your shoulder better to guide them the right way.

Are there any preparations before entering gambling? Gambling is already part of the society and regardless if there's a restriction or not that parents will apply to their young ones, these kids will still encounter gambling. 17 years of age isn't already a young age to enter the world of gambling. They somehow have that matured mind to know what's the best thing to do.

As for OP's choosing of dice machine to fulfill his fun, go to Amazon or your local online shop to see a good dice machine lol. Check reviews or you can also create a DIY. Just check Youtube for it. (if OP is really serious here)

Of course, it is up to parents to allow their child to gamble. However, everyone may have their own opinion on what is the best age to introduce gambling to a child. I think everyone will agree that 10 years or even 14 years is definitely too early. When it comes to 17, opinions may be divided, but in my opinion it is still too early.

This age is still dependent on their parents and maybe the fund where get comes from their pocket that can be used in gambling. It must always be parents responsibility and I maybe it is good if you teach other learning lessons than this kind of game. They don't know maybe the value of money if this will lose and it will continue until your wealth will bankrupt. I don't know dice machines but I know how to play dice games online and I think that is easy to play even at home.

The need to have a dicing machine at home becomes paramount and am wondering which dice machine I can go for?

Are you sure that at such a young age your son is ready to start gambling? I'm sure your intentions are right, but the mind of a person so young may not be able to handle it. In my opinion, this is too much of a risk to practically teach him to play. Maybe start with the theory at the beginning, and then teach him to practice.

You missed my question, are there any preparations before entering gambling? You asked OP if such a 17-year-old is ready to start gambling. Do you think 25 years of age are more prepared compared to 17 years of age?

Age is not a basis but the ability of that person to know what's wrong or right. It doesn't mean that a person within 17 years of age are not prepared and 25 or we go straight on 30 years are more matured.

You cant really blame out people on having that kind of mindset that the higher the age the more matured and sensible it is but we know that this isnt always the case because people which are younger might really

be more experienced and do knows even more compared to those who are older. This is just in through way of experience because people wont really become matured if they dont know on how to handle

theirselves on particular situations including gambling.Preparation? I dont see for it to be needed because we do have our own self will on making out decisions for ourselves.

You could be opening a pandora's box for your son, gaming is very much different from gambling, I don't know the character of your son but give him a hint and do not try to impose on him, let him know your passion for gambling and let him be the one to open it up to you.

You can check on your location there are none the best place to check is Amazon or Alibaba, but if he is so keen in learning then there are available dice games online, Playstore also has a lot of dice game, let your son pick his choice, just guide him on how to gamble properly.

So it's clear that there's no problem about gambling here and everything is good because the question of OP is, "what dice machine he can go for".

OP, I think most here don't have an experience of buying such stuff as it wasn't necessary stuff to consider buying. But since you like to install it just for fun as you really like it in the first place, why not just refer to the market and see the people's feedback for it?

I agree that at a young age, they should have some knowledge now about how to handle gambling risks. At the age of 17, most people are now more involved in lots of social activity and always with their friends or groups.

If you want to install a dice machine, try to refer to your local shops or malls so that you can talk personally with the store owner or staffs. It's good to talk to them in person so they can guide you more about installation and how to use that machine.

You can just tell your kids how gambling can destroy someone's life, you don't have to introduce them to gambling and make them play those games.... But that's up to you how you handle your kids. I don't think you need any "dice machine" to play dice. Just get a computer and start playing over there. I am sure there are many platforms/online sites where you can play dice without having to risk any real money.

I have no doubts that it is much safer to start adventure with gambling when you are 25 than when you are 17.
I think it is important that someone who starts gambling can supports himself, because only then does he really know the value of money.

It is better for children to get knowledge about gambling from their parents, as well as how we should provide sex education to our children.
Because if children get gambling knowledge from others, they are afraid to provide misleading information. Age 17 is the right time for children
to get education about the risks of gambling, so he can be careful when trying to gamble and avoid gambling addiction. I also really want to have
a dice machine, unfortunately in my country all gambling activities are illegal. So apart from not daring to buy a dice machine for fear of breaking
the law, buying a dice machine is very difficult to find in my country. So now I only play online gambling, and I also have to educate my children
about online gambling as well.

Uhm I don't think you need to install a dice machine? Just hop on to any gambling site and you'd honestly find dice in there (and if you were thinking of introducing dice without the money involved, that ain't gambling brother). If you really want something that's not online, then just get some random old dice and set rules, pretty sure that should work out as well. Now if I was mistaken and you were looking for sites, there's rollbit, roobet, duelbits, just look at the banners of those who post mostly in the gambling section and you'd find a nice gambling website.

If you think that your son will be better if you are the one that will reach how to gamble then go on, but it's better if you just observe your son if he is inclined to gamble or just want to be in gaming, not forcing him to learn, it's better to just go online and look for dice game instead of buying him a dicing game, there's a big difference playing in a machine and playing online because you have a house edge to deal with.

Well, I'm not questioning your parenting method, but there's actually a lot of good opportunities for the gamers and earn more money than gambling.
I think you should nurture his skills in an online games. If you haven't take a look at the prize pool from the TI10 (The International) It might change your perception.

When he asks for the information regarding dicing you can go for it. Let him keep himself engaged into gaming, or else it is good to suggest him some form of dice game that is available with free tokens to play. When he keeps playing he'll understand the risks and the complications of dice game. For this purpose there isn't a need for dice machine.

I am pretty sure he already knows what gambling is. I mean, it is pretty prevalent on online MMORPG nowadays. what I think he doesn't know is what gambling games are there or what dangers it poses to people. sure I am not against teaching your son about dice games but I think you should focus on reminding him what it can cause to people if it is not in moderation.

Or just buy him some of those worthless FUN coins and send him to freebitco.in so he can try all those autobet strategies, martingale and shit. We all went through that route when we started gambling. I know I thought the martingale strategy was the most brilliant shit ever when I heard about it in high school.

If anyone who knows your son the most is you. If you think he can handle it and can control himself when addicted to gambling then you can go on.  I learned cards and dice when we are still kids betting our pennies during that time and learned gambling didn't get me addicted to gambling even when there is no parents telling me to stop. None of the friends I play with become addicted to gambling I guess starting gambling as kids will make casinos boring. At 17, I think he has his own mind already.
But I think with the parent's guide as well.

By the time someone loses his OWN money that's when he will value money but this is when you have your own mind already. When you are old enough to understand that earning and paying bills from your own money, that's when one understands the value of money. To worse, people even lose friends and family when they have no money.

If I was the father I will make the kid bet online and once he loses it all, I shall see what the kid will do. If he does the tantrum, give him another that is not intended for gambling and see if he gambles again.

Dice machine?
For your house?
Isn't it too much for you to be teaching your son this? Maybe he would not gamble in the future, well this way you would be introducing him to gambling in an indirect way. Even if you wanted it to be a positive thing, it might end up getting converted into a more serious concern. I do think if you do want to teach him all these you should wait for him to turn 18 and after that, you should genuinely just try these games out online. It's not a good idea to install a machine, is it now ??
I just want to teach him as a way of fun since he already has an interest in computer gaming, I will be introducing it to him by myself will help prepare his mind for the future and also kill the possibility of him getting thought in the wrong way from the society. The society I mean from friends.

If I were you, I wont do that as I will support him to focus on the computer games instead of teaching/introducing him to gambling game.

No one can question your parenting style, you do it your way. But just like others, I am also concerned about the distinction of computer gaming, which is the interests of your child, to gambling. While it is not bad to educate your child yourself, maybe encouraging and enticing him to try gambling is not much of. Good idea. Addiction cannot be traced and stopped easily when it starting to happen.

You want to introduce dice to your 17 year old son I think he knows better what gambling dice is because he has been in front of the computer for a long time because a gamer would know what dice is, so why do dice machines at home when online is easier?

Just give a popular dice site here and I'm sure it will be easy to learn it but of course you have to be able to watch it so it doesn't become a long addiction, so if it's your job to introduce it then you have to be prepared to take the risk.

Now it's easy with online gambling sites compared to machines that have to be bought.

Being good at playing computer games doesn't mean everything has to end in gambling. If I were the OP, then I wouldn't teach anything if it wasn't liked by a child. The task of parents is only to direct according to the interests he wants. there is no need to force and give something that the child does not like. Just point in the direction where the child's skills are interested. Many things things game on the computer. So it is too early to introduce gambling to its immature psychological level.

The OP is saying that he wants do it just for the fun of it so he knows he does not has to do it and it is doing it just because this is what he wants, and about reaching the kid about gambling or not, I have always thought that it is the responsibility of the parents to teach their kids about complex subjects that kids could have come problems understanding by themselves, and I think gambling is one of those subjects, so as long as he teaches his son about the dangers of gambling addiction, the house edge, how over the long term the house will win and to watch for signs that things are getting out of hand I think it is going to be fine.

I think it's better to be introduced to gambling by parents than by some unknown rogues on the streets. At least you know you are acquiring reliable informations from your father that will help you managing your bankroll during a gambling session and if a father spots his son isn't dealing with gambling properly, help can be found earlier, what will prevent negative consequences in the life of this individual.
Furthermore his son is 17 years old already, not a kid anymore. In this age people have the ability to learn the risks implied in gambling, what is inevitable in this modern world where there are constant incentives to this activity through gambling ads frequently seen on the internet, television and even on the streets.

I think it is a nice gesture of teaching your kid about the dangers of gambling but prevention is always better than cure!

Instead of introducing him the subject of gambling and the effects of dice games, open up topics or subjects that may deviate your kid about gambling in general. The mindset that "he is going to learn it whatever ways" sounds slightly wrong in my perspective. Let him be curious on a certain topic and when such time comes, that is when you will exercise your role as a parent and brief him about gambling, in general.

Despite all the advice and teachings that you'll do to take him away from gambling addiction if you're going to install a dice machine, that will still bring him closer to gambling too much. You can introduce gambling to him but you don't have to exert too much effort for him to play dice games. Let him pick his enjoy playing computer games without any funds involved. There are still better things for him to enjoy rather than gambling.

Idea is not bad itself, but i don't like your idea to introduce it to your son and make him a gambler. He is already playing computer games, maybe in future he will be a champion of LoL or something like that. It's not good to throw him into a risk to be gambling addicted. My opinion, nothing more.

You don't have to install or buy a dicing machine. Having a computer is already enough for playing dice.
Yeah, why install a dice machine?

For one they don't come cheap, two they can be expensive, three take a lot of space and four the experience is not the same.

Plus, technology is now the way forward anyway, you don't want to be teaching something which is not the real experience.

And I won't go into why you'd want to teach your kid gambling...
