A few months ago, I created the Riddles and Brain-Teasers for Bitcointalk Members (Newbies – Members) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5324826.0) thread. Then I saw soliton's Bitcoin Crosswords (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5328390.0). So that made me think of a similar game that involves Bitcoin and crypto-related terms.

•   For each round, I will post a few incomplete words, and you have to guess which ones they are.  
•   The terms will always be something you would expect to hear if you are familiar with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.



1.   Accounts created after the date this thread was posted ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE.
2.   This thread is intended for users of all ranks, but NEWBIES, JR. MEMBERS, AND MEMBERS will have one day advantage to guess the terms. What does that mean? When a new round starts, only newbies, jr. members, and members can guess the words. The next day, after I give the green light, all other ranks can participate.
3.   No cheating, editing, or deleting posts. Edited replies won’t be counted.
4.   You can guess how many times you want, but you aren’t allowed to post again unless someone else writes a post.  
5.   You can only guess EACH WORD ONCE PER POST. You can’t provide 2 or more answers for the same word, but you are allowed to guess all of the terms.
6.   If no one can guess the correct word/words, I will add a few more letters.
7.   EACH correctly guessed term will be awarded 1 MERIT for the user who was the fastest.
8.   Every round will have 5-10 random words.

You are right, that was my mistake. The correct clue is one word made up of nine letters. I edited the second post now to remove the space. Good eyes!
Care to venture a guess on some of the terms or all of them?

This is a great idea, Pmalek. I like the game. Hopefully many members will be interested in participating.

I already have a few ideas for answers, but am waiting for the younger members to make use of their advantage.

It's hard to answer cause the clue was difficult but besides that it was thrill and more fun ,despite of guessing this word I learned also new word and that it's all.

You correctly unscrambled two of the terms: public key and taproot.
Even though "CryptoOne" does fit, it's not the term I was looking for. What is it anyways, a crypto blog?

We don't need to answer again the taproot and public key right?. It seems Shamm beat me to it. As far as i'm concerned, I can only guess these two answers which is number 7 and bitcoin sidechain.

Maybe, that brings me good laugh too but after all the words to be answered are hard to guess but still they got it after trying whatever means necessary or how long they come up with that answer. Good job to all those who got the correct answers. I would have answered the four guessed answers if none have got it. Well, they deserve it and they should be given the chance to answer it. After all pmalek's aim is for newbies to members rank and higher ranks are to help if none can't guess it all.

Impressive work by you @Pmalek and this will promote some mind opening work for all of us and came to know about different terms associated with bitcoin.But this was fast as round #1 was completed and i liked how members have came up with all the words.

Waiting for Round #2 eagerly and hope get a chance to answer it as you give green signal to us also on that one.

I noticed it too but it is adjusted in my mind that what you mean is once and hear even though I see the words you used is not what it's supposed to be. You better not do it next time as LoyceV will see it again with the all-seeing eye much like byakugan in naruto anime. Not needed really. If you are interested in the terms, you can just search for their meaning on your own.

I can swear that I have seen instances where it is just one word. Feeding the term into a google search shows two separate words. I guess this is my mistake, sorry.
Anyways, "rug pull" or "rugpull" is correct (even though you were faster to answer than me giving the green light for all ranks to participate)!

Yes, a new set of words will be ready for Round #3. Starting from next round, members of all ranks will be allowed to participate from day 1.

I have been a bit busy these last two days and haven't had much time to focus on the new words. I will probably get around to it during the weekend or on Monday at latest.

It's not only for newbies. My first two rounds were for all ranks, but Newbies - Members were given a head start of one day. From Round #3 everyone will be allowed to guess from the get-go.

nakamura12's words are also meant for users ranked Newbie to Member as was stated in his post.

LoyceV didn't mention any restrictions whatsoever.

It's LoyceV but I intended to follow your rules which newbies to members first before higher ranks can answer. Some newbies are having hard time to guess which word is to complete and because of that member or jr. member will answer it faster unless that newbie is already knowledgeable where the account is the only new. That's what my plan is to give a chance first for newbies to members forst before higher ranks.

I have a small suggestion: instead of letters, you might try to leave all the fields blank and use part of the description of the term as a hint (similar to a crossword puzzle).

It's up to you sir, but if you continue this word game for sure many Newbies familiarize bitcoin and other related to Cryptocurrencies.

That would then change the whole concept and turn it into a crossword puzzle of a sort. soliton made such puzzles for the community in the past. I linked to his thread  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5328390.0)in my OP. Maybe he will eventually continue in the same way. The last post he made in his thread, he mentioned that the next puzzle will be posted shortly. I guess he hasn't gotten around to it yet. Maybe a bump from someone who likes solving puzzles would give him the incentive he needs.

Yes, this won't be called complete the word game anymore but it is also possible I think if there is a game like that and It doesn't have to be the next round but a bonus round. I have given soliton a wake up call to continue the Crossword puzzle when I replied that I would use his puzzle for learning purposes. Coinjoin is correct, yes.

It may or may not be, I don't know. I asked you in my previous post what that term means. It doesn't matter because it's not the word I was looking for. The point of the game is not to fill the spaces with any letters to create words that fit. You are guessing one specific term per line.

I nearly missed the whole round again. I'm just trying my luck with this one, I hope I'm right.

cygan answered most of it. I wonder how did cygan manage to guess those words. I have tried doing some research to what term is in their. I can guess some which is a little bit noticeable like the public key, private key which my guess is there's no other word that suits very well to other cryptocurrency related words.

This is mainly for newbies to jr. members but some words are not easy to guess so higher ranks are not eligible to participate. Previous rounds are for newbies to member rank are given a headstart before the above ranks are to answer or guess the words. This game also brings new term to learn and it is up to you to search what it is.

Have been following up on this game from  the beginning though I never participated in any round. As a matter of fact this game has brought to me so many new word which I have never been familiar with. It was really brain storm that one have to crack is brain  so hard 😊.

That's also the motive of the @OP to start this whole game that members could learn lot of different terms associated with bitcoin and it's their responsibility to find the real meaning behind these terms and gain knowledge about them even if you guessed it wrong.You will be familiar with all these terms in future and those who are answering it have the knowledge about them like @cygan which is why it seems too easy for him to brainstorm all of them.Learn bit by bit but must do it.

Yes, that's the correct term.

Maybe he is really good at solving puzzles and riddles, if you can call it that. And it helps if he is familiar with the terminology and have seen the words in various texts. Or he has a huge database of terms and a script/software that can find those that match according to the provided letters. Who knows :P

Even if the third letter is not given it is still very hard to guess. All I can think is blockchain in the first word and when you answered validated then I tried to research if there is a blockchain validator then that will be my answer for number 3 then maybe i'll got it right or you may got it right decodx. Let's see if which one is correct answer.

Yes it also seems right to me that first word is indicated towards blockchain only and now the mind needs to run the algorithm to find the exact matching pair with the second word to fit that @Pmalek has put up in this round.I am also trying different words to fit it in the same.

Round 7 had 6 words. You shared 5 merit for solving 5 words. But you did not share any merit for solving the word number two. Is it a mistake or there is a reason for this?

This was rare to see that members took the responsibility themselves and answer all of them without involving you this time  ;D but still you managed to guess most of them in the previous rounds.

That will be interesting because the one who is guessing all the words will be the host who is not allowed to participate and that will be interesting to participate and let's see what you come up with and how fast members can solve it.Best of luck and your merits are not going to consume easily ;)

That's part of your plan to accumulate smerits to continue the game that Pmalek started?. Not a bad plan. I was doing the same thing except I made a little bit adjustments. I did it when I reached hero member rank and started it with a crossword puzzle too and I hope I didn't steal the spotlight. Just continuing the game when Pmalek is busy or tight on schedule.

Oh, now I understand why you are so anxious for the games to continue and for the rounds to become available for the higher ranks. You are strengthening your merit count to have more to give to others. Not bad at all. :)

It is much appreciated if the thread used is the same but cygan will provide the words to be guessed. I would suggest to use existing thread since the aim that cygan is doing is the same as Pmalek. As you can see, it is a continuation to Pmalek's Complete the Word Game. I have the same thing when Pmalek is busy for starting the next rounds. More like taking the spotlight from Pmalek and I am thankful that he forgave me haha.

Glad you liked it, but there is no reason to feel like that. You might have had only one correct guess and ended up on the bottom of the list of merited users, but you still ended up on the list. That means that you got double the amount of merits than those who didn't compete or those who did but didn't guess anything correctly. It's all a matter of perspective. ;)

What a great journey it has been when I participated in your game even though lower ranks have a day ahead before higher ranks can answer but still you give us a chance to answer even though I didn't get to participate much before the rounds where higher ranks can participate right away even though cygan got the most correct answer.

@UserU you can join cygan's word game just like Pmalek's word game. What I call it is a continuation to Pmalek'd word game.
