It doesn’t actually grow faster than other cryptos, it has a large market cap and it takes longer for it to reach a certain %s. Comparing it to alts it grows much slower. Why is it popular? Well because it was the first and it’s the most secure when it comes to securing the blockchain.

Will another alt exceeds bitcoins market cap? It’s possible however I don’t think it will be anytime soon. Ethereum is close but it has its issues too like Bitcoin, for example the ETH gas fees people have to pay right now. No coin is perfect. Some have their pros and cons.

ETH problems are so much more serious and fundamental and they don't exist in bitcoin.
For example bitcoin has some troubles with its scaling which was already solved by second layer proposal while ETH has serious scaling issues that has led to transaction fees that are 10 times higher than bitcoin's!
Also ETH has fundamental flaws such as centralization and lack of immutability that are essential to any blockchain and other flaws such as the massive premine and on top of all that there are a lot of security flaws in its protocol and to name one: the smart contracts.

BTC has strong fundamentals and has a fast recovery mode compared to other coins. so it is clear that bitcoin is in great demand by everyone, especially large investors who have previously been involved in investing in bonds, stocks and so on. Investors who are experienced in the investment world are unlikely to invest in coins that have weak fundamentals.

Marketcap is just a number hence it can be easily manipulated by having massive amount of circulating supply. I ready if Elon Musk would have continued pumping dogecoins for few more days then dogecoin might have got into 1st rank in coinmarktcap listing. So, exceeding bitcoin's marketcap doesn't signal any alarm anything among crypto adapters for sure.

People choose bitcoin due to the innovations it has brought up and it may keep increasing at least 10x on every four years because its supply is getting reduced half on every  four years. If you study the basic characteristics of bitcoin then you will come to know why people prefer bitcoin than other coins and why it has huge value right now and why it is expected to keep going up forever.

It's because Bitcoin has a lot of support from investors since the beginning, and then it involved as one of the best speculative assets because of regular traders like you and me and the majority of us here. This was the case back in the day, so I can't say if that is the case today as well. However back in the day people got into bitcoin first, then got into alts later. It was basically "buy bitcoin to buy eth" type of deal even for the highest ones. Nowadays you can buy many coins with fiat, so that is probably not the case.

Personally i choose bitcoin because of availability in my country and also from many countries around the world.

We still don't know that yet but as far as 10 years history of Bitcoin it's growing/increasing each year if you look at the chart. What you might be thinking is a super long term that would eventually collapse the adoption like a worst case scenario but let's not think like that ahead since it's most likely not going to happen.

Bitcoin does grow due to some circumstances and different factors like the halving every 4 years does creating a bull season and the adoption rate each time there's a large institutional investors join in the market. Just think those bigger company soon investing in Bitcoin.

Yeah, I cannot find any other currency which is having speculative purpose like how bitcoin is having. This must be unique property of bitcoin because bitcoin alone having limited supply (all other currencies can be printed at wish). I believe bitcoin is growing faster for the reason it is not able to grow all the times due to whales and other manipulators. They start dump after bitcoin reaches some peak levels. So, it need to grow faster within some period of time where whales and all others allow it to do so. This might be a pitfall in the designs of bitcoin because 50% of total bitcoin supply was mined out in the first 4 years itself which made many whales and they still control bitcoins for their benefits.

The underlying growth of BTC is irregular but long term we do have year to year growth regardless of price, more are likely to use BTC in some way.   Once familiar people may start using BTC more and hence we can snowball growth, this can equate to exponential change but I think BTC is far slower and steady over the very long term then we actually recognize.   If we return to the 200 week average I wont be too negative though its obviously low sentiment at that time, right now we have no reason not to expect bullish action over 12 months.

yes bitcoin made the impossible possible, 10 years ago no one would have thought the price of bitcoin would be this high. currently the price of bitcoin is heading towards $100k, I think bitcoin is able to reach that point considering the current popularity of bitcoin has increased drastically. New investors continue to arrive and market capitalization continues to increase, this is clear evidence that the popularity of bitcoin this year has increased dramatically.

What do you mean useful? I don't think that's the main reason why Bitcoin is sky rocketing. Most people doesn't even use Bitcoin to pay for something, instead they are just holding it and consider it as a store of value. So, that means, a lot of people has become interested in purchasing Bitcoin because they found out that value is rapidly increasing each and every year.

However, I don't mean to take away the "usefulness" of Bitcoin especially that it possesses a borderless payments feature. But most people are just not too concerned about that, they are far more concerned on Bitcoin's growth as it potentially gives then huge profit long term.

This is because satoshi was wise enough to know that it would be a bad idea to keep so many coins for himself, and even if it is believed he has one million coins in his addresses those coins come from mining which at the time anyone could have been done by spending just a few cents of electricity, while in the case of modern altcoins it is not rare to see developers selling only a small portion of their coins and retaining the 90% of the whole supply of their coin, making it extremely centralized in the process.

Something big keep happening to bitcoin and it was a recent ATH hit yesterday and is also linked to increased adoption. There's no really credible reason to see it keep going up, it's very unlikely. Volatility happen all the time even when you least expect it. We know that bitcoin is a currency that give you a different experience than fiat. No authority controls it and its anonymous nature is the reason why it is favored by the public.
