Title: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year?
Post by: dbc23 on November 12, 2021, 11:12:29 PM
Will you be satisfied if 2021  ends with an ATH of $70k for Bitcoin. Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment

Yes, you are not in control of the market so better be satisfied with whatever it offers. $70k is a lot of money.
Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
It's not about being rich, its the value that is being received by Bitcoin that should be the joy of every Bitcoin holder. Maybe it will be a different answer with short term investors or traders. Try asking it in Trading Discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=8.0).
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment
Even if you purchased it late if you are not really going to spend it just yet then there is nothing to worry about. Bitcoin will surely pump more as it grows older.

How will bitcoin literally breaching new all-time highs not add any value to your portfolio though? The only way for it to not add value to your portfolio, is if you're not holding bitcoin in the first place.

Also, I don't really care if $70k is the top this year. My investing time horizon isn't 2 months, and it will just give me more time to accumulate.

Of course I will be satisfied. And probably more satisfied the following year because that would be the year when the price of Bitcoin would reach six digits.

Of course it will also make me richer. $70,000 per Bitcoin makes everybody who owns Bitcoin richer. That means all who bought Bitcoin have already profited. So all the initial capitals have already made a return.

Why would somebody be ungrateful if Bitcoin reaches only $70,000? That means the rest will be given later on. It is a reminder not to sell.

Yes, why someone would be disappointed to see bitcoin ends with a high price by this year?

Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
I don't know but it will make me able to buy the things that I want and will give me that much savings. And from the profit I get there, I have another capital to invest.

Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment
It's essential to buy whenever the market goes down. But if you don't have a budget, you should just keep holding.

Temporarily, I will be satisfied if bitcoin reaches a new ATH at $70k at the end of this year but I believe that the price will not just stop at $70k as the chance to increase more than $70k is still wide open. That will change my funds and that can become bigger, especially if I can sell at the right time. I am also sure that the altcoin will follow bitcoin moves that increase so hopefully, I can make a double big profit from my investment.

I do not regret it because I think I am not late to join the trend as I have already prepared some to enjoy my profit later. We still wait for some time to see bitcoin price will start to increase while we have more time to buy bitcoin or altcoin at the current price.

Just for the sake of argument? Of course why not? $70k is already a good price for this year.

Not sure what you mean by adding any value to our initial capital, but definitely if you have been saving bitcoin since the start of the pandemic when the price goes down to $3k, you are already in a big profit.

There's always been regrets in life, not just crypto. The thing is how you are going to stand up and make up the lost ground.

If I won't be mistaking , bitcoin got to $66,507 level and $70,000 from that is $493 in profit or difference and that will instantly make the shape of your portfolio change depending on the numbers of coins you have so it will add value.

Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment

And buying this correction , the difference to $70,000 is a lot of profit this will create more rich people that will either regret not hodling after December or that will be happy after. This is where I see the regret coming from.

I don’t think it was the top, I think the top will be more in the $75-85 area or so. Maybe even at like $95K. However I don’t think it will go somewhere crazy like $100-250K which is what most people are expecting.

Many people here might disagree and call me a bear. Or that I am having 2018 market PTSD. However it’s just the goal i set in the past and I will stick to it. Not getting out of Bitcoin just will hopefully be able to buy it back cheaper if a bear market comes.

Yes, every new ATH will make everyone rich and happy because the profits to be earned will increase and but that doesn't mean they will sell all their holdings when a new ATH is created.
most of them only sell part of the profits to enjoy and the rest are held to wait for a higher ATH, some even don't sell it at all because everyone has different strategies and targets.

This is a very subjective question, the chances are that anyone who bought Bitcoin
in the $60k region wont be satisfied with $70k, anyone who bought Bitcoin in 2020
and before will be well satisfied with massive gains in FIAT value.

Also if you are a Bitcoiner with a long term outlook $70k is only another point along
the road to a far greater value.

regardless of the actual price I'm satisfied now because it's over 60K but the name is human I will not be satisfied even if it's only 70K  ;) ,my advantage can buy more birds so I'm not completely satisfied if it's only 70K maybe 80K can make me satisfied ! making richer is a bonus but well it will make us rich ,I'm a little regret for late yesterday's trend not add units BTC but anytime there's still time

I would be. Who would not? I mean many are waiting for Bitcoin to be at $70,000 right?
Ohhh I forgot, there is no such thing as satisfaction with the people. What I mean is that if we see Bitcoin at $70,000 some will say "Ohhh it will go up more to $80,000 or even higher blah blah".

Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
I bought my Bitcoin since 2019 and I'm holding it so it will make me richer.

Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment
I will feel more regret if I joined with the hype of Bitcoin. I would rather wait for a retracement before buying. I might feel regret if I joined or bought late but it seems that I'm not doing it :D.

Most of the widely respected analysts predict far higher than $70,000 for the top of this cycle. I think we’ll break $100,000 before Xmas but let’s wait & see.

Even if the price crashed majority of the investors had their initial capital long back, i was fortunate enough to get in the market literally early and i never thought that the price would reach this level in 2021 and i consider it as a huge bonus and i already booked my profit in this fiscal year and i am looking at how long the market would rally and then take my position accordingly.

I would be satisfied, as someone who accumulated for the past few years, and has taken enough profit to be playing with the house (thanks to shitcoins mainly). But ultimately, given the amount of accumulation in the past 6 months, $70K as a top simply doesn't add upto me. Unless the 4.08 year cycle is to be broken, which so far after 10 years of price history as yet to be seen, it has only proven stronger as a trend.

Now that price has spent 6+ months consolidating between $30K-60K, I'm not that bothered anymore if this is the top either. If we saw a drop from here to find a new low in 6-12 months time, then it would likely be bottom out at the 200 Week MA that would be around $25-35K, and therefore *only* 50-65% drop. Not to mention that we already saw price drop to $28K, so nothing we haven't seen before...

This is ultimately for me why I see the likelihood of price going higher, beyond $100K and have a parabolic blow off top, because otherwise it'll be very difficult to see a 75-80% correction within 6-12 months. As referenced, it'd be more likely for price not to make a new low around find support around $30K if price were to start dropping, which would just give an opportunity for more accumulation at a discount.

I will be satisfied even if ATH $70k because for me it is a new record and no regrets on the slow trend because the journey is still long in the next post so what is there to regret? We can only wait for the best time.

Bitcoin is towering because of a long journey so we must really believe that bitcoin can exceed the ATH mentioned, I think with some of those predictors we can combine but we must be able to hold on to the situation that will continue.

Next year's target is $100k I'm sure of that.

Well, in my case I hope, and wish, that we will at least break the $100K barrier this year. If that doesn't happen and the maximum is $70K, on the theoretical side I will start to think about which predictive models are correct, once it will have been proven that the S2F and others like it are not correct, but on the practical side I will continue to buy Bitcoin, mainly for its intrinsic properties, and I remain confident that in the long term it will continue to rise.

Isn't that fine? I mean do you really must get 100k+ or whatever you are aiming at for this year to make you happy? I am totally fine with whatever we have, I do not need to see something that is grand to be happy with the situation. Now dropping a lot is a different case then having a high price, I could be happy with not reaching 70k+ but if it reaches to 30k against this year that could be a little bad.

I would still not be worried, just get more bitcoins when it is cheap so I would be still glad that it dropped, but I would also understand people who end up scared as well, that part makes sense. If you are all in and not making any more purchases then you could be a little upset when it falls down.

In my case, $70k or $80k for this year is enough already I just want to make sure that I will gain profit and probably gonna wait until the correction hits to buyback again. But I'm worried if the bear season would come next year then we definitely not gonna see the $100k or more. Speculators and the experts of businesses are giving their own price prediction that is beyond $100k by the end of the year.

Bitcoin is making a constant changes within this year that doesn't happened in its previous bull run. So, we probably gonna see another ATH next month or next year unless the FUD is not release. Or else the correction will make its move to make the bear come out after a few weeks of the correction.

Why I won't be satisfied if btc closes its note at $70k as ath for this year? It has added only to its value since last year and is ~4.6x from $16k that it was holding last year this day.

Won't add anything to my capital as I didn't invest in btc last year.

I will have no regrets about joining or not joining because I am a bitcoin evangelist and like everybody here, I also want it to succeed so on if it grows, I will be happy always. I will also be glad if a retracement happens and I get another chance at buying btc cheaper than its present value.

Bitcoin to reach 70k $ this year is a must. It is so close to that goal and i think it will reach before the end of the year. When it reach 70k $ it will go even faster to 80k $ those are my predictions and will probobly take the entire crypto market with it up.

What we achieved so far this year is already great for me.
We have reached price levels that have not been seen in btc history, for the last decade.
So whatever the price it will close this year, I will be more than happy to see.
And the adoption and interest from various entities is still increasing, so we don't have to worry about its future.
Most of us wanted profits of what we invested, that's understandable, but don't push yourself too much.

I'm good with $70,000 already. But the problem here now is how the market will start and stay. Like how much could be a potential percentage of dump from its all-time high.
We all know for the past years of the bear market of Bitcoin, it is losing too much, like more than 50% from the all-time high price.
I am expecting the next bear market could be very short like only 2-5 months only. Just like what happened last May 2021 .

I am holding Bitcoin for more than 5 years. At this point I'm already extremely satisfied with Bitcoin's performance, even if it stopped growing and never moved above the current price for the rest of the history, that would still be a tremendous success for me. I could cash out and reinvest it into a diversified portfolio of traditional assets like real estate and be very financially secure.

I hope so, too. But even if $70k is so close already, there is no guarantee it can be achieved soon. I myself, don't brave to say it will be reached before a new year. We all know if crypto market is very unpredictable, a good trend can change to be a bad trend instantly if there is bad news about crypto. We can expect $70k to be achieved in the next month, but we must understand it isn't a must.

Bitcoin with the ongoing market trend easily reaches new ath within the year end. If the present market test succeed breaching $65k then there'll be strong forward push. If not there is chance of pull back to $62k and retest the resistance zone around $60k.This is today's market situation, and this can change anytime and continue to make new ath consecutively. When we're into cryptocurrency there is nothing to regret, make everything an opportunity and try to profit out of it.

What's your definition of being satisfied? Is it really necessary for Bitcoin to reach $70,000 before the end of the year?

What if it didn't reach that target? It's not satisfying?

As long as Bitcoin will keep up the momentum, that's better compared to the quick jump.

Good question, I don't think that people are going to be satisfied here, it's human nature.

$70k might be high, but it might not be good for some, and then there are people who are not making any profit for this price.

So really depends on how we defined satisfaction. But as far as experience goes, in life there's no such thing as contentment specially that involves money.

Precisely mate, looking at the market of bitcoin today we can distinguish the big difference of the market compare to the past years market and I think attaining a $70k-$100k new ATH or having a strong resistance on the $60k level of market price for me I think is quite enough than looking again the market drowning down, I mean as long as the bitcoin keep up the momentum it's quite interesting even we know it might takes a few months or we may see the new ATH of bitcoin by next year is okay because we know and were very optimistic that it will going to happen by assessing the market of bitcoin today right.

always keep hoping that not just up to $70K bitcoin will hit the price for this year, because just getting to $70K definitely isn't that surprising. since the last ATH price was already at $69,044.77 - Nov 10, 2021, it should only be a matter of time before the move to reach $70K will allow bitcoin to reach it.

maybe if they already have bitcoin from the start then with $70K it is clear they have made a good profit but is it possible to stop at that price if there will be another chance?

i am even satisfied when the price reached  50k and then taken 60k so what more that 70k? lol i am contented in bitcoin performance this year, i have invested my money for long term now as i have bought at 35k , but if lucky and bitcoin will go high to more than 80k then i may decide withdrawing my funds for a while because i know 2022 will be a difficult year for bitcoin.
obviously you have achieved a very good profit because you bought bitcoins still at $35K and if it only reaches $70K then you get a profit according to your capital and this is clearly an extraordinary achievement and rarely can enjoy this. because in a really difficult situation, it is clear that the challenge of not sell is certainly full of patience that you need to have.

but it's clear that if there is an opportunity to be able to enjoy a higher price, it doesn't hurt to keep waiting until the price is really the maximum that is done by bitcoin.

Those that are going to be worried are those who buy bitcoin at the top price. So we understand there concern that they wanted to get profits from their investment. But whatever angle you look at it, we have reach many ath this year and $70k+ is already too high.

Yep, adoption and fundamentals are even greater as well.

If I recall correction, when China miners where booted out by their government, the hashing power went down, together with the price, but now we have bounce back and recovered and the network is very secure right now more than ever. That alone shows that bitcoin is going to last for the next 10 years or so and probably this might be one reason that the price will still continue to grow. But $70k this year is great already, but it will be even better if we are going to peak at 6 digits at the end of 2021 or early 2022.

Your question was wrong.

Should have been what if we do not top 70k in 2021 would you be okay with it?

For me no I truly want to see it reach 70k this year.

I predicted 70k in May.

Back in April 2021 we are yet to get there so I personally blame myself for that and until we reach 70k I will remain on the hook.

When BTC grows up, it not only satisfy bitcoin investors but other investors who invested on other crypto coins would be much happier since, maximum all other coins follow the growth of bitcoin.

And yes there are high chances for Bitcoin reach another ATH more than $70k by end of this month or in the beginning weak of December 2021.

I do agree that bitcoin has still all the chances to hit new ATH before 2021 ends and $70k may not be the end point for this year. But if bitcoin suddenly faces an unexpected serious dump and see bitcoin price drops drastically, and ends up reaching only $70k as its new ATH. That is still a good price for bitcoin and for long term holders, they can gain huge profits already if they start selling. But i believe, bitcoin is still capable of reaching new heights in the year 2022 so i think there will be no big issues if we can only reach $70k for this year.

always keep hoping that not just up to $70K bitcoin will hit the price for this year, because just getting to $70K definitely isn't that surprising. since the last ATH price was already at $69,044.77 - Nov 10, 2021, it should only be a matter of time before the move to reach $70K will allow bitcoin to reach it.

maybe if they already have bitcoin from the start then with $70K it is clear they have made a good profit but is it possible to stop at that price if there will be another chance?
I get that not many people might look at this as a way to make a profit quickly even when they are talking about 70k, but the reality is that if we reach that level and stay there, that's all the same and I believe we should be quite happy with it and not worry about anything more. Hopefully we will see a lot more increases soon, but if not then I would not be upset and I understand all the other people who feel like me.

We are a lot and maybe we are not noisy but we could be silent majority, we just like the fact that bitcoin increased a lot this year and even with a fall we managed to keep it under control and managed to keep it at a satisfying level. That is all you could care about, there is really no need to keep wanting more and more, just be happy that we didn't fall.

Depending if the holder is ready to take advantage with ATH is something to be expected. $70K for year-end closing is not a bad moment. Considering that throughout 2021 Bitcoin has acted quite aggressively, even in this one year Bitcoin has rallied several times. That's only in 2021. So if you say Bitcoin will close at the end of the year with its ATH again, we will automatically be ready for a massive crash in 2022, or on the contrary, there will be no more severe crashes like dark years because adoption has increased from year to year. year?

Of course a sense of satisfaction will be there which will be short lived, but unfortunately there isn't any thrill in this if we cant flip the script and move to a much higher target of say $80k or $100k to make this a whole lot interesting and if it hits again we change the scipt to it hits a million dollars ;D.

Regret is always there to be honest, especially that I missed out on buying a big pot of bitcoins for cheap because if i had bought even $50 worth of BTC at the first time..... by now it would have been Lambos, Lambos, Lambos everywhere.

Bitcoin will not stop this year so I'm already happy to see a $70k ATH this year as we still have next year where we might continue to witness a bullish market. The lowest this year was around $22k and if the ATH is $70k, then we are already getting a good increase, more than other investments out there. Sometimes we need to be satisfied, and instead look for the long term success so we will not easily panic once the bear market takes over.

Bitcoin hasn't reached $70k yet. So, I guess it's safe to say that even If you enter the market at this current Bitcoin price, It would definitely add value to your initial capital.
And depends on the amount of capital you have poured to Bitcoin, it'll obviously add to your wealth as well.

Now, the only thing I can see on your post which is a very regretful situation is that when you keep staring at Bitcoin's price without doing anything and most definitely no holdings at all. That's just sad.
Everything else in your post is actually fine whichever you go with those options, because you're just basically asking whether you sell on the $70k mark or continue holding.

We will feel happy to see $70k for the next ATH this year while we still have less than 2 months later and the price now is at $65k and closest to $66k. Yes, the next year can have many surprises for us and we can hope that the market is still bullish so that bitcoin and altcoin can increase higher and make a new ATH.

From the beginning of this year until now, we have already seen the increment of bitcoin price so if you bought bitcoin at the beginning and held it until the last ATH, you are making a big profit. But if you are trading your bitcoin pair stable coin, you can make a profit many times as the price is up and down many times.

I hope the Bitcoin will close 2021 with its price around 100K$ as predicted by well known and reputed analyst PlanB. This morning Bitcoin started new week with Bullish momentum and opened above pivot point (64,912). If all goes well we will see price above 72K during the current week. The biggest Bitcoin upgrade (TAPROOT) just completed and will enhance features of Bitcoin, Thus, will translate into good impact on its price.

I would be definitely satisfied with a 70K USD Bitcoin price at the end of 2021.
I'm OK with a 60K or even a 50K price. If you buy low and sell high, everything is good. The exact price doesn't matter that much.Don't get too greedy, chasing maximum profits might lead you to mistakes.
There will always be regret about when did I joined the BTC market, but that doesn't matter anymore.

What's your definition of being satisfied? Is it really necessary for Bitcoin to reach $70,000 before the end of the year?

What if it didn't reach that target? It's not satisfying?

As long as Bitcoin will keep up the momentum, that's better compared to the quick jump.

I'm wondering about the same thing. Some people won't get satisfied even if they make 10 million dollars per month.Others will be satisfied with the little they have.Satisfaction is pretty vague.
Reaching a 70K price isn't a "do or die" goal.Bitcoin won't end,if it didn't reach that price by December 31 2021.

You can only be satisfied when you have a numerous investment you are looking or watching on to, and you compare to the time you engaged yourself into for investment and checkout you profit, because weather bitcoin or ATH get to the same market value no problem.

Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment
absolutely you will regret that you joined market late, so you can't engaged into two side immediately weather you buy at the early stages or when it's retraces, it's simple, so anyone that enters for you is your own.

One's satisfaction is highly dependent on each individual's investment, meaning it can't be compared to people who have big assets in bitcoin, Ethereum and other popular coins, everyone will surely regret joining the late trend, but whatever it is at least we have taken a step from every the current trend, not many people view bitcoin with sentiment, because basically everyone wants to invest in bitcoin.

For me, its definitely not a big problem as bitcoin would still go up higher after 2021 and can reach anytime soon above $70k. If satisfaction is the concern, most investors particularly to those who came late will never be satisfied as they are hoping for more profits this year because they bought bitcoin at its peak price already. But for me and for the rest of early investors, i would say $70k is enough and can even change someone's lives if he sell a part of his coin for his own personal interests.

If that was the best price we reached then so be it, bitcoin is going to do what the supply and demand dictates so there is no point in lamenting it if that were to happen, I could understand if the investors that came to this market during this year did something like that as they have no experience about how to deal with this, but someone that is more experimented and that has been here for longer should remember the really bad days of bitcoin and how this lasted for years, so an ATH of 70k is a reason to celebrate and not to lament yourself.

Exactly. We should be thankful instead that we get to enjoy the profits from bitcoin that this bullish season brings. Its up to you if you did not enjoy the price of bitcoin since you are more engrossed with meme coins that are also profitable these days. If $70k will be the last ATH this year, some investors will not be satisfied though especially to those who have just entered the market. But i know for majority, bitcoin price is already high enough knowing bitcoin has reached a lot of ATH this year, so we should be even more grateful about it.

Maybe we will be satisfied if our investment is not commensurate with the authorized capital issued, but it is very different if the opposite happens to people, the big regret is that if it is too late to join the good trend in bitcoin, this will be a future evaluation, so that the big moment that happens in we can maximize bitcoin well, but for now the sentiment towards the trend we are following in bitcoin is not too much.

Some people are not grateful for what bitcoin has achieved so far. So $70k is actually a very good price for bitcoin to celebrate as we haven't seen it yet. I have no doubt about bitcoin reaching $70k this year because it's been bullish this year, we witnessed a new ATH already and it might continue as bitcoin starts to be bullish again. As of now, bitcoin is still trading at sub $60k which is very convincing that anytime it will pump again, and if that will happen a new ATH is probably be achieved again.

Bitcoin's ATH price is now at $68k, which means it's very close to hitting $70k. So my prediction is most likely a price of $70k can be achieved
by the end of this month. Moreover, Bitcoin is still in a bullish trend and we just need to be patient a little longer to wait for Bitcoin to reach
the price of $70k. Even later this year I predict Bitcoin will rise above $70k price. So don't panic if Bitcoin experiences a correction first,
I believe Bitcoin's support price is very strong at $60k, so it is very unlikely that Bitcoin will fall below $60k. We must have faith in Bitcoin,
by remaining patient holding the Bitcoin we have until it reaches the target we want.

This is the same mind I've got. Throughout the year it has marked several ath value. Having patience is the one required to experience the ath value. In reality users holding atleast half the bitcoin benefits big out of bitcoin.

Majority of the Bitcoin holders were like you and me who tend to hold, but out of emergency we cash it out. The small holders just get some mere profits on holding and on getting into trading practice. Any form of growth is highly profitable for the whales on the market.

More than satisfied but not rich at all since I always take profit, and used it for my daily needs but no regret at all on selling my holdings. There should be no regret if you’re late because there is always opportunity and you can always buy other options, Bitcoin can actually go beyond $70k before the year end, I’m confident about this.

I am satisfied with whatever ATH we broke and will remain satisfied with whatever price bitcoin shows. Many of us started with few bucks in bitcoin and we witnessed our funds as tiny as it grow overtime which is very satisfying. $70k is possible and why not more? $100k by January?

I think it's not that great, I mean we've almost touched that point already since bitcoin has reached around 68k already so I don't necessarily think that it's going to be a good one to end the year, but who knows what's going to happen next with the market in the next month and even the next year, it's not like this is the only ATH that bitcoin will reach in the future right?

Of course. We are going to talk about many more ATHs in the future.

$70,000 within the year is good but may not be good enough because we are looking forward to the first time Bitcoin breaches a six digit figure price within the year. But I don't think I would be disappointed if $70,000 is the only ATH within the year. For me, it is also a sign that the year 2022 would be starting with a bullish outlook. I think $100,000 is to be reached within the year or next year. So we're always in a win-win situation.

Will you be satisfied if 2021  ends with an ATH of $70k for Bitcoin. Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment
that is few hundred dollars from the last ATH right? why not at least think of 75,000 - 80k?

but having that ATH is enough for me, as i have already sold 30% of mu Bitcoin holding last week at 68,500k  so meaning if dump happened before the year ends then i have already some funds to re buy and keep holding again.

At $70k, that will be a fantastic figure to hit even though there are projections for higher price level. I just did a mental calculation of what Satoshi's famed one million hodling amounts to; that puts it at $70billion. That's really huge and could easily put him on the top ten richest persons in the world. It's amazing for something that was worth peanuts a decade ago. Come to think of what Bitcoin was worth around this month in 2020, no one should complain if it doesn't cross that hypothetical $70k ATH. Bitcoin has really done so much for itself and the community. However, I'm convinced that it will blow past that level before the end of the year.

I don't think this bull run will be short-lived by just hitting the $70k mark, still gonna root that six figures to come this year alone. Of course it will be good if you sold the top but if you don't, then don't expect as well with a richer outcome.

Not gonna regret everything since still getting hype with the market sentiment of $100k or more than that value of bitcoin. Not just gonna stare I'd likely to savor the moment. If you've been FUDded before you see a $100k/BTC then cry as much as you can (this applies to those who paper handed).

this part refers to those who invested in bitcoin when the price is still 30-40k and surely their initial capital increased so much up to now. and that happened last month .

i will never regret my investment in bitcoin , yeah i may say small losses because i invest when the price at 50k (actually still inprofit but much lower than when it was 69k)

sentiment will indeed in my deep part, because i know that recovery will come in any moment.

$ 70k is not bad to end the year, but I think everyone expects a price of $ 100k, and that is what many predict, according to cointelegraph, in the short term they show the following:

https://i.imgur.com/VrBp1Ol.png
Quote
if the price turns up from the current level and breaks above $67,000, the next stop could be $69,000. A break and close above the resistance line of the wedge could open the doors for a possible rally to $75,000.

When looking at these short-term predictions, what they most expect is that it can reach $ 75k, it is a very good price index, it only remains to wait and see how everything continues to develop.

I would be happy if $70k would be new ATH. Bitcoin almost doubled its value during this year. Even if its price continue todays fall, I would not be disappointed a lot. I would just hold and wait for a better price. Anyway, those who wanted had great chances to buy it this summer and sell it week ago. I suggest people not to panic and follow their plan and wait till the price would be suitable for them. As there definitely will new ATHs in future.

Not only you but for sure all bitcoin users and holders will be happy to see that to happen also imagine how big the noise it will get on the mainstream once this price achieve and for sure we will see more adoption plus more people will hop into the bitcoins. But hopefully we can see this to happen this year since if $70k will really broke for sure the possibilities to open up its door to $100k is so bright so lets keep the hype on to make the market continue to became more bullish.

For bitcoin we are not so worried about the hype that occurs, because bitcoin has a good level of stability and movement for now, many people are optimistic that bitcoin will reach the maximum price, although many predictions that people make have different levels of variation, but I believe bitcoin will peak until the end of the year, if the positive trend continues through the end of the year.

For long term speaking yes we can say we are not worried about it since as history says bitcoin really get a price boost each year, but if we talk about short term then maybe volatility will be our main concern since mostly at this category small time traders are here and they can't afford to hold since they don't have enough money for long term purposes that's why many got caught on single movements of the market.

I also believe that we can see the peak until this year since if we can see another ATH will reach up then chances to see more bigger picture next year is so huge.

This number is quite large, even though 2022 is still very positive for bitcoin growth, but anything can happen to crypto, especially regarding bitcoin, considering the one that is the most important and continues to be discussed in the following years, but growth is very important in the trend There is, if bitcoin can maintain the trend well, then the opportunity is quite open.

I'm sure I won't go crazy over it. If the price can only reach $70K then you have to look back at the fact that not all predictions will be correct. $100K is a possible/ unreachable target over the end of the year, so it's natural for most of us to expect price to not stop at $70K and $100K to be hit.

I'm just a little sorry that at the moment I don't have many opportunities to buy some bitcoin due to a lack of capital. I'm trying to collect bit by bit so it might be a lot at some point. If the price doesn't break through $100K then this will only give me more opportunities to collect more. I won't worry anymore, bitcoin is a profitable long term investment.

Honestly, I still hope the Bitcoin price dumps again, because I don't have much Bitcoin myself, and I still only collect Altcoins, one of which is CKB and BTT,
because if the Bitcoin price dumps, the altcoin price will also follow, as happened right now, altcoin prices are -7% to -10% because Bitcoin dump prices are under $60k,
yes and I'm still hoping for more dumpsso that I can add my favorite altcoins. Buy in the DIPs haha.

I would not say that it doubled its value only, it also did it twice as well. If you check 1st of January it was a little bit under 30k, nearly 30k, and then during last ATH in April it reached 64k as we all know, that is already doubling once, then it dropped just a little bit under 30k once again, and now the ATH stands at nearly 69k as well. So, that is the proof that the volatility in bitcoin is also a great way to trade for many people as well.

Imagine if you could buy at 30k, have enough money to buy 1, then it reaches 60k and you sell, then you rebuy at 30k again, you now have 2 bitcoins, and then you sell at 70k and you have 140k, you got in with 30k, you turned it into 140k, that is more than 4x, its very close to 5x even. So in one year, anyone who used only the peaks would have made 5x, deal with everything in the middle and you would have as much as 10x just by trading bitcoin, I am not even getting into alts, which would be insane.

For people like you who really intend to buy Bitcoin or altcoins at cheap prices, they will be very happy to see a market dump like it is now.
But for me or some people who have bought Bitcoin above $60k this is not a fun thing. But I've been studying crypto for more than 5 years,
so I really understand the movement of Bitcoin, I believe Bitcoin will not stay below $60k for too long. So I suggest you buy Bitcoin at
the current price, which in my opinion was very cheap, before the price of Bitcoin went up very quickly. Because Bitcoin is still in a bullish trend,
so if a correction occurs it will recover very quickly.

I may not accept that 70k ATH this year, bitcoin already proven the capacity to increase multiple times now and yes this year alone there are multiple ATH recorded so what more that 70k?

the value increased almost 69k recently so this is just 1k below to that target.

No Bitcoin will not just stop there this 2021.

Weaknesses in bitcoin trading in the short term, especially for people who have small capital to carry out investments, the short term cannot provide a good guarantee for investing in bitcoin, this only depends on certain moments, but to get the maximum profit, it is impossible done in the short term, considering that the buying price of bitcoin is still very high, and I also believe that bitcoin will reach its maximum price by the end of the year or maybe early next year.

More than satisfied but not rich at all since I always take profit, and used it for my daily needs but no regret at all on selling my holdings. There should be no regret if you’re late because there is always opportunity and you can always buy other options, Bitcoin can actually go beyond $70k before the year end, I’m confident about this.
Exactly once I took profit and whatever earned was able to cater for my daily needs I am very much fulfilled and satisfied, price reaching $70K is not an easy feat but was achieved this year and I believed correction of the price will follow suit thus creating another opportunity to buy dip and wait for the price to pump again, after all a new ATH was attained this year April profit was taken thereafter correction took place which provided opportunities of buying dip.

Small capital is not a problem if you could think like a long term investor. I started my crypto adventure with literally nothing, then I earned peanuts, literally not even 1 cent at the time and this was when bitcoin was nothing, I worked hard to get it to 25 bucks and made my first investment, I am not going to say how much I have now but I am doing fine and that's all because I didn't have rush.

Problem with the small capital people who are in a rush to make a profit is that they want that 25 bucks to turn into 250 bucks in a day or a month and not in a few years, I waited for years to make that into 250 bucks and when I first had it it was a great period. Then I worked for years too and added some more, and then I invested even more and I waited for years again. That is how you make a good investment in bitcoin, or in any crypto, you wait for years, not days or weeks or even months.

I don't think $70k will be the last ATH this year, look at the market sentiment right now its very bullish,
I also expect that $69k or $70k isn't the last ATH of Bitcoin price this year. I am still holding my Bitcoin because I believe that Bitcoin will increase again above $70k after this correction is over. I heard that there was bad news about Bitcoin that caused the current correction, so we must be patient for a moment. However, it seems just a correction, bullish to continue.

70k or 100k it doesn't matter because  Bitcoin had already bring us high increase and that is what we really need to see and be contented .

Why need seeking for too much when  in the end we will fail? better to just expect lower and will only extend our happiness once multiple increase comes.

For now we can only close the market and return to normal.

If we aim at just ATH then we are not going to be upset in the end because we know that a future ATH will happen, it always happens. We know that crashes do happen time to time so it wouldn't be such a shock to see the price drop neither, that will be something we all expected but the reality is that bitcoin is not like other things in life, only upwards is guaranteed and crashes are not guaranteed.

The same timing works for both of them, we do not know when it will go up and we do not know when it will go down, only thing that we care about is the fact that it will go up, we do not know if it will drop or how much and when. This is why people focus on prices going up in crypto market.

We must accept whatever the market gives us, I will be honest and say that I was expecting a price way higher than what we are seeing right now, but even if the price remains static or there is a slight decrease in the price it is not as if we can complain.

The bull run we have been experimenting has been massive and it has brought bitcoin at the center of the world stage as now investors are looking at bitcoin as a store of value that could help them overcome the difficult times ahead, which is not a small thing as it seems an economic crisis may hit us during the next years.

So what?

It doesn't matter at all for me as I am holding BTC for the long term.

I couldn't care less where BTC price is a day, a month, heck even a year from now. I am holding BTC purely as a hedge against an imminent fiat collapse, and in the case that crypto becomes the primary vehicle for people to store their wealth in.

So what?

It doesn't matter at all for me as I am holding BTC for the long term.

Different folks, different strokes. I really admire though those who can really hold on their bitcoins for years and years and doesn't care or doesn't look at the chart because they've already have their goals.

But there are still a lot of newbies here, so haven't experience to hold their bitcoin, but instead do trades, shift it to altcoin and then go back to bitcoin again. Bitcoin has been tested by the pandemic already, so at least we've seen how it will be good to be store of value.

We still have a lot of time to make new ATH which is more than $70k, seeing the positive development of bitcoin I'm sure the new ATH this year can pass $80k, maybe my expectations are not too high because many are optimistic that new ATH can reach $100k, I think the market less volatile ones make me more happy than a roller coaster.
Before the new ATH reaches $100k, we might see $70k as the next ATH but related to this situation, we need to wait for more because the price is still low. It makes some people panic knowing the price is still going down, while others are happy because they can buy bitcoin at this price. Hopefully, after this end, the price can really hit $70k and still increase.

I am worried about the Mt Gox news which is why I come to this forum to understand.

Do you think having another 141,000 Bitcoin released will make a significant impact on the market and price of Bitcoin?

Yes, especially now we will see lot of amateurs or panic sellers dumping bitcoin especially those who has bought at ATH, but this temporary dump will act as springboard for us to buy more at dip and once the dust settles down bitcoin will surely cross the milestone of $70k.
We have to cross ATH again to become a deeper correction, but I won't blame the sellers who panicked when they immediately threw it away when the price fell, but my view is that after a long bullish correction a correction will definitely occur and we must be ready to face it, maybe because there is another issue or news that has a bad impact on bitcoin it can happen to bitcoin until it goes down.
We still have a month more to expect ATH like many people have speculated of course I too $70k is the desired ATH but for sure we have to overcome some hurdles towards $70k by the end of the year.

Some people are not grateful for what bitcoin has achieved so far. So $70k is actually a very good price for bitcoin to celebrate as we haven't seen it yet. And this year alone, we have seen several ATHs for bitcoin, in which, we haven't seen those prices in the previous years. Expect that people will ask for more, because that's human nature. And with the current adoption, I believe, we will see new price levels in the coming months or years. But no matter what the price of btc will close this year, I will be more than happy to embrace it.
It is understandable that people want for the price of bitcoin to keep increasing but there are limits, at some point the price will stop growing during this bull run and it will begin to go down, whether this is at 70k, 100k, 200k or an even higher price we know that is coming, so what we need to do is be grateful that we are part of the best investment option during the last decade and be happy with our profits, otherwise greed will take over and we will be unable to take good decisions because of it.

Yes, that's right, he wants bitcoin to continue to increase even though he ignores the existing limits, there is a point where bitcoin will decline so far, which is caused by another coin that appears and can shift bitcoin's position in the next 15 years, and no one can guarantee What is the development of bitcoin in the next 15 years, as long as that hasn't happened, then we should take advantage of current conditions to get maximum profit.

I think reaching $70k in the next bull trend is not that difficult because the previous high of bitcoin was already close to $70k.

During the month of December we can see massive selling than buying of bitcoin. However the market price of bitcoin used to show sign of bullish trend during the days of Christmas and gets forward to the New Year. The massive selling will be done by the small holders whereas large scale acquiring can happen from companies that have been holding good volume of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The habit is like that, the end of the year is the sale of every existing coin, as long as the coins we have have a maximum selling value, but if the price of the coins we have experiences a decline in price, then the right rarity is to hold it, December generally the selling value of any coins will increasing, considering the end of the year is a good trend for existing coins, especially when it comes to bitcoin, let's see later this year if bitcoin will find its new ATH.

I never really got that "profits are enough" mindset, I mean sure it is cool to have that much profit, but why do we have to always have to limit ourselves? I do not want to sound greedy but the reality is that we should not limit ourselves to something that is "enough", when it is going up all the time. Maybe we should end up with something that is like "I got my investment back, rest is pure profit" mindset.

Invested 1k? Reached 2k? Take your 1k out and wait for the other part to grow forever until you are ready to retire. I do not remember anytime I actually invested and did not take that out, I probably have zero of my own money in crypto right now, whatever I have put it, I already took out long time ago. This allows me to not take it out, hence not cause the price to fall like these people do. It is their money though so I have to respect it.

I always have this kind of mindset, but sometimes when you lose your profit, you would also feel bad as you could have taken that money out and invested it somewhere less risky than crypto. As an investor, I don't only focus on crypto, instead, I look for other forms of investments and even business just to minimize the risk and that my cash flow would continue in case crypto will collapse.

Everyone will panic if they lose a lot of money, so investments must be prepared properly and carefully, it is better to allocate investments in other forms, if crypto investments experience losses then there are other investments that replace them, so that our money flow does not decrease with the loss of one of them , I think the pattern you are doing is good enough to avoid the risks that will arise.

Guys we are getting worried for nothing. Let people sell if they want to, what is the point of investing into bitcoin if we are not going to sell and get rid of these problems? I mean it is clear that we need to actually have some sort of selling time to time and let people sell because that is the natural order of any market.

If we are suppose to keep on buying forever and never sell, then how come we could use crypto to better our life? Sometimes people make a big amount of profit, sell their coins and pay all of their debt for example. This is what we need to do, we need to make sure that there is a good chance we could make a profit and let the price fall whenever we want to take out, do not be mad for people who take out and move on. There are still tons of people who will keep on buying more and more so it is not a problem when we have small drops.

I'm just quite unhappy not seeing it break $60k but that's it. You're right that we're worried for nothing, bitcoin is still above $50k and this is a good price. Expecting that it would go according to what we're thinking should be stopped since it's moving on its own and even if we like to see it at top so quick, that won't happen. And to those that are selling, we have nothing against them because we're also selling when others don't like us to sell so it's fair and normal to see people sell.

It all depends on how deep the current correction will be. If it leads to a panic sell and another bear market for several years, I will be very sad. However, if the correction is small and it causes the price of Bitcoin (and thus the entire cryptocurrency market) to calm down, I will be very happy, because it will be a good sign that cryptocurrencies are ready for adoption by the mainstream.

we have our own priorities and financial needs so just respect whatever the decision of the crypto user when it comes to his portfolio. but reaching 70k for this year, i will be grateful rather than look for more. greed is the reason why people are not satisfied or happy because they want more. but why not be grateful despite of the pandemic crisis that we have, btc managed to achieved different ATHs this year alone?
and with more good news like from el salvador developing their own bitcoin city, and the approval of btc ETF this year, why not be happy for these positive things happening in crypto market?

If too many people panic and sell bitcoin at the same time, then the bitcoin price will go down, this will continue to be used by big investors to buy, the current scheme is the pattern played by those with influence to make bitcoin go down, usually the end of the year is the selling pattern of every existing coin including bitcoin, but if the panic is too big for bitcoin correction, it will be very dangerous for the bitcoin market at the end of the year.

The scheme that takes place is inseparable from the panic of people who own bitcoin, but big investors will never panic about this kind of correction condition, therefore it is necessary to make a good study for the bitcoin market at the end of the year. Otherwise, cryptocurrencies will experience a big correction simultaneously and this is very dangerous if it happens, big investors will laugh and enjoy this condition, hopefully this will never happen at the end of the year.

Sometimes we're disappointed but it won't stop us from thinking that it's going to be bullish again, actually, it's still bullish and the price that it's sitting right now is still high. Despite the crash that has came, it remains at $57k.

So far the current dip is still manageable in my opinion. And I don't see any panic sell, the price now is $58k and it looks like it's moving to $60k. So this correction might be over and as we enter December, expect the price could be in the range of $70k and it's not that bad after all. However, it's inevitable that we are going to enter a bear market so just be ready in any case.

Maybe you and some people who have been in the crypto world for a long time understand how Bitcoin works, so don't worry if it turns out that
the price of Bitcoin does not reach the price we predicted. But for newbies, this is something that not only makes them disappointed, but some
newbies panic, and decide to cut loss. That's why I always say over and over that before deciding to invest in Bitcoin, make sure we've
learned everything about Bitcoin. So at least understand how Bitcoin works, don't buy Bitcoin because it is influenced by other people.
Regarding the current Bitcoin price I agree with you, that it is still in a bullish trend, meaning that it is still very likely that the price of Bitcoin
will rise again near the end of the year.

The question is ? is there something we can do even if we wanted Bitcoin price to climb up 100k?  of course nothing because our small contribution investing cannot even give part for the growth that high.
so let us be contented ,a nd besides 70k is too much , imagine starter below 20k and now 70k?
please don't be greedy and be thankful for this achievement of Bitcoin in 2021.
lets wait in 2022 if what market will bring us.

Guys we are getting worried for nothing. Let people sell if they want to, what is the point of investing into bitcoin if we are not going to sell and get rid of these problems? I mean it is clear that we need to actually have some sort of selling time to time and let people sell because that is the natural order of any market.
This is the risk of investing in Bitcoin, sometimes we have to accept the fact that Bitcoin does not always work as we expect. We also cannot blame
other people for selling their Bitcoins, because there is no compulsion to continue holding Bitcoin. But what I believe is that people who can be
patient holding Bitcoin, will eventually get paid for their patience. We know based on the history of Bitcoin movement, how deep the Bitcoin price
goes down, one day it will definitely go higher again. So I decided to hold my current Bitcoin, even though the Bitcoin price still hasn't returned to $60k.
But I'm still optimistic that Bitcoin will be bullish again as long as the Bitcoin price doesn't drop below $50k.
There's no one to blame if the price don't go accordingly to what we've been thinking. It is what it is and we have to embrace and accept that due to the fact that it's always volatile no matter what you think of it. Sometimes we're disappointed but it won't stop us from thinking that it's going to be bullish again, actually, it's still bullish and the price that it's sitting right now is still high. Despite the crash that has came, it remains at $57k.

It's either they've be disappointed for not reaching at least 6 digits and get out of the market or invest in altcoins or any other financial instruments. Or simply remain in the market and really try to understand how it works and become a mature investors.

So still a positive for them if you look at the bright side of it. Yeah, we are still in the bullish of trend and most likely we will bounce on December. But I'm not expecting a $100k price at majority of us now are looking at.

That's just expecting from your speculation that maybe they want a price of $ 70k but it doesn't come true because this is a little more to make up for it al the result of bitcoin having to experience a big correction to make bitcoin fall almost to 50k.
For me it's true that we have to be content with what we get from holding bitcoins after reaching high and greedy it will make us forget ourselves until the end when bitcoin drops we just realize because of regret, then one good thing in my opinion is to hold it because bitcoin will definitely come back again.

Looking at the bitcoin price movement these past few days, it's hard to say if the price will hit $70k the rest of the year. With market conditions currently experiencing a decline in bitcoin prices, it has not added any value to my initial capital. But I believe early next year bitcoin price will experience a significant increase and continue to set new ATH records.

We do have higher volume (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/06/12/AvBam.png) on the down bars seems to be another warning we need to at least revise lower prices in order to confirm support is valid and a good foothold for future positive action.
We are below 2 day average and failed to hold trading momentum so far but just tonight there is idea of a pattern forming of higher lows.   I dont expect this to hold personally just because there is a stack of orders ready to process only during business hours and they will be selling out of fear of a general market reversal.   We can of course resolve this weakness with buying and a move upwards but part of this is at least a test down or pin downwards at some point I think.
My guess we dont make a new ATH that far from where we have put in a high tide mark so far for 2021.   Next year I have more optimism.

I agree with you, it seems that bitcoin price is hard to reach $70k before the end of the year. after a significant price decline a few days ago the price of bitcoin has not shown any signs of recovering. currently the price of bitcoin is quite stable at $54k, of course the current price is still quite far from $70k. if the price doesn't move up soon of course $70k won't be reachable by the end of this year.

what you say could be true but we also know that bitcoin can move in just a day it can be more than +$10K, so it's probably always possible. since these two months bitcoin has always been in the range of $40K-$61K and it's still pretty much a change to improve. although it might be a bit difficult, but there is always a possibility that it could happen because bitcoin has that ability.

Totally satisfied even we just end at $50k. But what if we surpass $70k? That is something more satisfying and I don't want you to miss this and make sure that you check the market from time to time so you won't lose the opportunity. If I still have money left in my pocket, I don't hesitate to invest them in Bitcoin but I don't just focus on Bitcoin alone, to spread on several potential coins is a great idea. I think you should have to do the same, well, it's up to you then.
Anyway, have to think it twice and so you won't regret it later.

I did the same thing, I invested into bitcoin more than enough for now and I am happy about it. I just want to invest into certain altcoins that are looking decent. I do not mean like some low market cap ones, those are still too risky for me and I rather not do that, but I like to invest into ETH, BNB, ADA, SOL, MATIC, AVAX, UNI, CAKE and all that. These are just some of the ones I invested, not a lot and I would love to invest some more but so far I don't have enough.

But at the end of the day, I am at least trying to grow my portfolio to be very strong just in case. What I could however see is that it is looking like we may actually have a chance to make a lot more money if we keep this up, just focus on bitcoin mainly but invest into a bit lower stuff for higher returns and if the whole market is bullish we are going to do 5x instead of just 2x with bitcoin.

Yeah that is a good strategy to diverse our portfolio, but I think majority of us still put more of our money into bitcoin because it is the prime mover of crypto and because of the potential to make profit by holding and then trading some. So for others $70k might not be a satisfying price they are still looking for what we call the so called 'expect' price because of S2F to reach at least 6 digits at the end of the year.

it seems too difficult for Bitcoin to reach the price of $100k this year.  I also initially hoped that by the end of this year Bitcoin would be able to
reach a price of $100k, but I have to think more realistically by changing the target, and it looks like the $70k-$80 target is more likely to be
achieved by Bitcoin later this year.

though it is really hard to see what will come soon because the way market is moving now it looks like it will dump High then will grow a little.
this is how mostly the Bear market comes and indication of the incoming dumping season.
But let us not lose hope but also don't expect too much , just be reasonable to look for the price.

I hope many newbies learn from their mistakes and stay in the market, because experiencing losses when we start investing in Bitcoin is common.
When the market correction, you will not lose your bitcoin but you will only see the amount of conversion value to fiat go down. Do all beginners pay attention to this? NO, I think they are much easier to panic and just want to sell it right away for fear of losing too much.

All investors who are already successful now, at first they also suffered several losses. Make the loss experienced to learn to

Experienced investors will buy more bitcoin during a correction, they buy them at low price and then hold them for the long term. I'm not sure that they only target profit in 1-2 years, but this they can do for 5-10 years after they make a purchase. What they do is of course supported by capital and financial adequacy where the capital used for investment is not money that will be used to meet daily need. But can we do it? Yes, of course we can if we want and consider it to invest 20-30 percent of our monthly income without much problem.

If I saw how bitcoin hit $69K, then I wouldn't think $80K would be so hard to hit. But there are always doubt when FUD and negative news hit the market causing panic. Today the market is starting to try to recover, but tomorrow we don't know what will happen to the market.

I have not lost hope just yet, last time we moved from nearly from 30k to above 60k+ in a single month, that happened during October and it wasn't really that hard for bitcoin to do that neither. So, I am not saying that we will be 100k or anything, but reaching above 70k is not impossible neither. Just because we are having some hard time right now, doesn't mean that it will continue to be a hard time neither, maybe it will be a bit hard for now, but then suddenly one day we will have a 10% increase like how we increased today and then we are going to have some more and suddenly we will be doing a lot better.

This is a possibility, it is not guaranteed or anything like that but it is a possibility and I hope that it does happen as well. Let's just wait it out, and if we are lucky then we could possibly have something much better in our hands soon.

Don't overdo it, the correction conditions that occur are not all caused by big investors, many other things that affect bitcoin are corrected, currently almost all cryptocurrencies are experiencing correction, not only bitcoin which has an impact, I think this is not influenced by investors in general, however something else is causing the cryptocurrency as a whole to correct, and if this doesn't recover any time soon, then the end of the year we will see a lot of coins going down at the same time.

I'm not overly analyzing the current correction, the condition that almost all cryptocurrencies are correcting is caused by big investors taking advantage of bitcoin's conditions, even in this condition many investors make purchases of bitcoin. If it wasn't for them, then to make big purchases of bitcoin they continue to do at times of correction like this, and I still believe they are preparing a year-end scheme for bitcoin breaking at a high price.

It is true that this condition is strongly influenced by large investors, but we cannot deny that another big effect on bitcoin correction, this is offset by the demand and sales formula, both of which must be balanced so that certain coins are stable and do not go up and down, but this is not may occur over a long period of time in crypto, it is natural for a correction to occur and then recover by itself, in fact that is how the laws of economics work.

Everyone is considering what would happen if it never reached 70k this year, but nobody talks about how it would be awesome if it did. I mean 70k+ in December would be something marvelous and the results of that could ripple into 2022 as well. I know that it is not going to be so challenging and I know that is not going to be unbelievable results and all that.

However, I also believe that we could reach to 100k in spring if we reach 70k in December. Instead of thinking "what if we can't reach 70k" we should think "how awesome could it be if we reach 70k" that would basically be a lot better. I get that it is not going to be easy to keep hyped all the time but that is the right way to approach it.

Whats the problem if we couldnt able to reach up 70k for this year? I know that most of people are being optimistic because Bitcoin had never failed to impress us when it comes to unexpected events specially on breaking new ATH but for now the thing we do only able to do is to wait up

because this isnt something that we should expect for some rise in a short time as possible because everything would really vary on the demand.
Thing here is that you do know on what you gonna do and take advantage  on the current price levels and whenever that bitcoin
do make out some move then selling out  would be our next step.

Lets just wait and be eyeing on possible events ahead.

These prices are quite adequate, anywhere above 20k is positive action going on from year to year.   People always want everything now basically, only up and ironically to go only up would be damaging and amount to volatility; where as sideways equates to some stability and helps future gains in that base of volume across this range.
I dont see it doing much dramatic this year having failed to confirm that breakout ATH positively or thats my interpretation.

Of course, we have to take volatility as a positive as well. And just in the last 7 days, the pattern seems to be sideways, the highest price is $59k and then goes back again to $57k so which still above the support line of $55k. And we all know that when the market is calm like this, sooner or later a break out run will happen and I'm positive that we still have a final push this December or at least before the end of the year to a new all time high of $70k.

For long-term investors of course hope that the price will continue to increase because then the assets they have continue to grow, but for day traders of course the decline in bitcoin prices is not something to be afraid of. for me it's okay to hope the price will continue to rise because that hope won't change the fact that the price of bitcoin can go up or down very quickly.

I would be quite pleased if the Bitcoin price would finish the year with a level like 70k dollars. Because I have bought some more after seeing the price going down below 60k dollars again. And I reckon that it can reach even a bigger level than 70k dollars if it starts climbing soon again. I wouldn't say no to a price like 100k dollars as I would nearly double my recent investment.  ;D

I can tell you who would say no to 100k dollars - people who are still busy building their own investment position. It is not necessarily a bad thing when Bitcoin stagnates for a while. It gives people time to find about it, inform themselves and build their own position. More people create more liquidity and thicker order books. Now it is true that this can also increase selling pressure, but in the long run I would argue that it creates new ATHs that work like a compass for what is achievable for Bitcoin. We might not go as fast to 100k with more liquidity, but once we reach 100k it is also less likely that drop back to 60k like a rock.

What you say is true, newbies often panic when they see Bitcoin prices suddenly drop, that's what causes them to want to immediately sell
the Bitcoin they have. Because they think Bitcoin will continue to fall and they will suffer bigger losses. And if they are patient, Bitcoin will always
be able to recover again. And also as long as the Bitcoins we have haven't been sold, even though the price has decreased, we haven't actually lost.
It means don't panic easily, investing in Bitcoin must be familiar with volatile prices. It does require patience to be able to generate profits when
investing in Bitcoin.

The market is well prepared for a massive push, but we don't know when this gonna happen. As per the ongoing price movement, there is more chance of retesting price barriers of $60k. If it gains resistance to reach $65k then we can think of $100k within the end of the month. Or else we need some positive news to trigger the market on the positive note. Lets wait and hope for the best to happen.

The new ATH for $70k has failed for 2021 and has become a new hope in 2022. I predict the bitcoin price in the first quarter of 2022 the bitcoin price will break through the new ATH which is above $70k to $80k and become the latest record in the first quarter. so this December is the peak for new investments because the price correction is happening right now.

We have still 3 weeks more to go before we can finally conclude what’s our last bitcoin ATH for this year. Knowing bitcoin which is highly volatile, it can still go higher than $67k and probably reach $70k by then or even higher than that. So as long as bitcoin remains volatile, there will always be chances to increase our previous ATH.

However, if bitcoin never recovers from this current correction, I can still say that the current price is still bullish and those who have bought bitcoin when it was $30k-$40k are already making profits by this time.

All investors who are already successful now, at first they also suffered several losses. Make the loss experienced to learn to
understand how cryptocurrencies work. Moreover, it is possible that in December Bitcoin will be bullish again, so don't leave the market first,
should see the decline in the price of Bitcoin now as an opportunity for us to buy Bitcoin at a low price. Because this year is coming to an end,
it seems too difficult for Bitcoin to reach the price of $100k this year.  I also initially hoped that by the end of this year Bitcoin would be able to
reach a price of $100k, but I have to think more realistically by changing the target, and it looks like the $70k-$80 target is more likely to be
achieved by Bitcoin later this year.

You are right, I think the uncertainty is huge, the truth is that the market sees many orders at prices of $ 52k and above, orders are seen at $ 58k almost $ 59k, and it is varying with great intensity, honestly when we talk about BTC prices In my case I am out of the market, the uncertainty is very great and when in doubt I prefer not to leave everything to chance, because at the moment anything could happen and whatever happens I think I would not be able to react so quickly.

I think this year has been fantastic for bitcoin where it was able to reach 2x new ATH.
if the expectation of bitcoin price I personally want Bitcoin to continue to correct its price so that I can buy more at a lower price, because I believe after a correction like what has happened now there will be a bull market and it will exceed 70k whether it happens at the end of this year or at the end of the year. next year but for sure I believe it will come.

Am very satisfied with the ATH at $70k because I was able to sell my holding at profit and waiting to buy more when we get another bottom before end of this month. Whoever is still waiting to see another ATH before this year end may not see that opportunity again with the look of things.

even in the last post I was talking about the $70,000 for this year, really many people exaggerated in the forecasts as the price kept going up people started to think that the price would just keep going up and not fall and with that forecasts like $70,000  and $100,000 were gaining in popularity and today the price has dropped a lot and we are here below $50,000

It's good to hear others making good profits from the last all time high which is close to $70k.

But for now I think it's going to be difficult for us to reach that price level, I mean we can't even hold $50k without experiencing any dump. However, we can look at it as a perfect opportunity to buy because it is cheap and at a discount.

And we knows, maybe we can still go $70k right? we just need some time in the next 3 weeks, and hopefully a break out run would happen before we close out this year.

They are not aware that the increase is prone to a decline that is much more severe. This is evidence that what is exaggerated by a high increase is precisely the price going down because it becomes bearish.
I know because they are too confident with prolonged bullishness but at the end of the year everything turned red the market turned red but we are still holding on to $50k even though this has to pass until the beginning of the year.

Looking at the flow , I am thinking that 70k won't be the ATH because the price might stays in this value now.

after being stagnant at 50-60k level now we are at 40k level and this staying badly.

so yes it is below 70k is the ATH this year

But when was the uncertainty ever small when it comes to Bitcoin anyway right? :)

We are talking about an asset that has shown it can go up 25% in a day, and also that can crash the same amount in a day so easily.

We have seen long periods of trading in the same price zone as well.

We have seen one really bad month followed by one really good month.

Volatility. Uncertainty. That literally is a description for Bitcoin price.

Surprisingly, bitcoin bounce back to 6% right now, so there are still some time to buy at this current market price, otherwise this window might close as the price will go hit $52k++ in the next coming days.

Yeah, correction is just temporary, just a matter of time before it can make a break out run. The problem is that we really don't know when bitcoin will recover. Maybe weeks or months, so one thing is for sure is to take advantage of the dip and buy and don't wait for it to go down further.

2 ATH? lol bitcoin reached multiple ATH this year alone , so it is not that 2x  to be precise , and if you are tending to buy , then you should have done that last week because of the dropping price,
but of course if you are into Long term then best to purchase now before the price Skyrocket in a couple of weeks before another correction happens.
actually we have done the correction , this is the encouragement for another set of investors to enter the market , while whales are trying to full their funds out to bag money.

I am not saying that we are heading towards the bear market, We may have a extended bull market which may last in 2022 also.

It's still in a trending period but many people always associate it with Chinese FUD which always affects bitcoin's decline but for me believe that the bulls will definitely be long, it's just that we see bitcoin slightly advancing and then retreating again we have to be strong to settle for a little time until the end of the year and start the journey back in 2022.
The current resistance is $50k, if below that it will come back again. Try to pay attention to the bitcoin price at the time of the movement, it can even last long enough above the $50k threshold.

I am satisfied whatever the ATH of Bitcoin this year. We cannot force to have a certain ATH, the Bitcoin price depends on the demand on the market and cannot be controlled. So, even the ATH is only around $68k, we should be satisfied. But if we consider the possibility of BTC ATH, it should be above $70k this year. But it will depend on how the whales and people's demand to drive the next pump or not. If the demand is getting drop, may be the ATH is only about $68k for his year.

Its surely we will be on a historical moment if it touch 100k$ .We were expect the last year that we can see a new ATH on year 2021 but we have seen many times it has broken the past ATH and did make continuously a new ATH .However we are still on a good situation to go to the up and we will hit a new ATH level soon .Its true that we are facing a few correction now at the moment but it will not continue for sure .I hoe we will see a strong uptrend soon in the next year we will see a new ATH soon and the 100k$ is not so far as the 60k$ level was not so far and we have archived this .Hopefully we can go ahead for sure .

When literally everyone "knows" that Bitcoin will somehow reach 100k by the end of the year, this is the moment when I don't trust the bull run anymore. Suddenly , we are all the best when it comes to Bitcoin price but let's be real and admit that this cycle of Bitcoin has almost nothing in common with the last one or the previous before him. Tell me a good reason of why would Bitcoin still be over 100k by end of year ? Because I can't find one at this point.

Ofcourse, I will be deeply happy and satisfied if bitcoin will have another breakthrough and another all-time high before this year ends. Honestly, who doesn't want want it? 70k is a lot of money mate.

It does, it adds much value to my capital because I invested on it. What kind of question is that mate? Ofcourse, if you gain profits then certainly that'll add into your invested capital. Nor it does makes me more richer but it does make me live more comfortably than I used to be the moment I reap what I sow.

We can't force but somehow we are always wanted it to keep on the bullish and healthy market. $50k, $40k, even we ended this year at that price, I think we're still happy for that as it wasn't the worse end for this year, unlike the past years. Though we are not sure what it happen next, I was confident that the market remains healthy and still in the bullish part.

So, why not cheer up and keep our fate strong as well. The market exists for a reason and so we have to support them as well.

We are almost halfway to the end of this year, not sure if a new ATH will be achieved soon, but looking at the present price movement, I'm not seeing a possible bull run anymore as the price movement now is going downtrend. Most probably bitcoin will not stay over $50k by the end of the year if the trend continues.

Looking at the flow , I am thinking that 70k won't be the ATH because the price might stays in this value now.

after being stagnant at 50-60k level now we are at 40k level and this staying badly.

so yes it is below 70k is the ATH this year
Any increase is a market reaction to bitcoin returns, it could be 70k or so, even 120k like PlanB's S2F model.  Every time bitcoin has a correction - it is often given a variety of reasons to spread FUD and stifle faith in the freedom that people need.

Too bad we're in a bear market and the residual is negative.  But clearly, the recovery signal is increasing.  Assuming we end the year with an ATH of 69k that is still an optimistic signal for the future of bitcoin and crypto.

It looks like the price of bitcoin will not reach $70k for this year especially with only a few weeks left this year is coming to an end and the price of bitcoin is still experiencing a very deep price decline. even bitcoin price is still hard to get back up to the $55k level after hitting ATH. however, I am still optimistic that there will be a positive sentiment that will make bitcoin prices rise again early next year.

Not bad at all, we started this year 2021 when the bitcoin price was between $6000 to $7000 yet the bitcoin price made a new all-time high of $70,000 in November that was a very good run for bitcoin, it was a 10x for bitcoin this year which is super dope and awesome. if the bitcoin price can maintain the same phase in 2022 we are going to see bitcoin price between $600,000 to $700,000 by the end of 2022 which is also not bad.

anything can still happen because of market conditions no one knows. the first possibility is that next year the bitcoin price will continue its bullish trend in 2021 and reach a higher ath, and the second possibility next year will often experience corrections due to the impact of price increases that occurred in 2021.

well, even when the bitcoin price hits $55k or so, that's pretty good. expectations for ATH are now very low, as there are currently only a few weeks left before the end of the year.
it looks like bitcoin's ATH this year is only $68,789 (according to Coinmarketcap), and still quite far from the $100k price we were expecting.
however, starting early 2022 with a starting price of over $50k is already very good for now. well, it's just that, we need to hope that the pump can occur before the end of the year so that the bitcoin price can reach a price in the $50k range.

Considering that more and more investors and large companies are adopting cryptocurrencies, I think it's never too late to invest in bitcoin even if the price continues to strengthen. Therefore, as a long-term investment, do not be influenced by price sentiment. Especially if it's ATH $70k for bitcoin later this year. I believe bitcoin will continue to be excellent for the next few years and its price will continue to increase significantly

Let's give it more years to come at that certain value, and as of the moment we're catching up every struggling situation. On my visionary, I don't care that much because my projections isn't a short trading plot that gonna earn minimal gains. If there's a chance to accumulate my balance then I'd grab some opportunity in order to avoid regrets. Sometimes it may sound uncertain, but I won't risk on things which I couldn't afford to lose.

Always have that primary rule in mind on that
"Invest on what you can afford to lose"

Dont mind or making yourself rush on seeing big numbers because if you do then you would most likely ending up on comitting bad decisions
because you are hoping on something.

Just let the price move and be wise on making decisions whether you do buy cheap or sell on high peaks.

Why thinking about late while bitcoin proves that its a good option whether you threat it as currency or investment since it works so well in both ways. Maybe there's something upsetting moment like this on bitcoin but for sure if we just think about a good move on this current market condition we can provably earn on next bull run so speculate about the future and provably we can see that on next year if not maybe on next to it.

It would be great if bitcoin were able to reach 70,000$ this month yet, although the market doesn't look propicious for that today. The reason is said to be pessimism among investors who may leave the crypto volatile market for the safer traditional USA market, which is going to have its interest rates increased by the Federal Reserve to attract investors. The meeting to define this measure is going to happen tomorrow (or even today, depending where you are localized).

After the meeting we will have a conclusion of the USA economical scenario impact over crypto market and bitcoin, more specifically.

It's just that we need to wait for the next ATH to reach $150k, in the next 4 years.

Yes, I agree with what you say, what happens is that it is almost a good night, and normally most people are waiting for the BTC market to take a huge bullish turn or jump, since since May, June, what more was said about him. It was this Christmas season, we have always known that the demand increases, and therefore we could expect the long-awaited increase in BTC, even with the S2F model it was expected this year at least it would reach $ 100k, and in some cases. Wall Street say it can reach $150k.

70k or not then no one could ever tell because price is always unpredictable and theres no way that we could tell on what would be the final point for this years price and its always been like this on where majority of the community does really expect that there would be some significant movement
in price in last month of every year.

The past had already proven it out because several years we do really go sideways on this particular months but lets just make out some conclusion
yet we are still halfway before this year ends.

For now lets just make out some assumptions and a never ending speculation as always.

And while speculating, make sure you are doing something to possibly address the bullish or bearish season. We should be prepared and ready either way so you will not feel trap if it goes sideways. So you need to lay out your plans in both scenarios, and accumulate worthwhile projects while you can. Because once they start going up, you will feel regret if you haven't bought some of these valuable coins.

I just put aside reaching 6 digits this year or next year, maybe it will happen but we just have to wait for it and not expect it to suddenly pop out. It's better a slow and sure grind to $100,000 or more in the next 4 years.

Bitcoin all time high this year is only $69,044, just a few dollars to reached it to $70k but unfortunately it didn't happen but it's okay because with the situation we are in now is the best to buy and hold it for the upcoming bull run probably early 1st quarter next year, let's just appreciate for now of how great bitcoin did us this year.
$150k in 4 years? Nah mate, it won't take that long to get that certain value. In fact, it's very possible that bitcoin will reach that value next year in 3rd or 4th quarter considering that bitcoin is extremely volatile so I think it's much better to hope that way.

at the time of writing the thread, I think the bitcoin price is very close to $70k, and people want to see a $100k price. however, right now, even i also hope the price can reach $70k, it's just that it's very difficult for now.
however, when the bitcoin price could hit $70k by the end of the year, it's a very very satisfying service to hold on to. this will affect the prices of altcoins. however, even when bitcoin's price hits $60k, I think, that's pretty satisfying for now, and pretty good for the start of 2022.

Wrong , Bitcoin did not ever reached 70 till this very moment , instead almost 69,000 is the highest or the ATH now.

But like you and majority of the posters , I am also satisfied in how much climbing Bitcoin did this year alone.
Imagine multiple ATH had been recorded since the first quarter and also each quarter there are new record of ATH .
i think that if we may pass this December , the following years again will make a  great increase .

At least it will make me happy and smile big if the bitcoin price reaches a new ATH at $70k because it can add value to my portfolio, but for this year which only has 11 days left I'm not sure that the bitcoin price can touch that level because usually at the end years investors will save their assets into USD Stablecoins rather than investing in bitcoin.

In my opinion, we can say with certainty that 2021 was very successful for Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market. It's a pity that BTC didn't reach our dream $100k, but I'm sure it will happen sooner or later. Of course, everyone would like to earn as much as possible, but I am happy with how Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market are developing.

Not all investors think that way because price declines do not always occur towards the end of the year because in 2017 the price increases occurred towards the end of the year.

Everyone here will be much happier when they see BTC hits its next ATH in the same year. As other altcoins follow Bitcoin's growth, those who invested in altcoins will be yes the happiest ones to see their funds growiing with profits. But the current sitation is vice versa. The correction is going on and yes it would take a bit more time to recover and I am sure by next Feb 2022, the growth will be back again and might reach the ATH $70K. Lets see

If previously people predicted the end of 2021 was the peak of bitcoin (ATH) rise, then today it seems they are starting to realize that they are in a bearish phase (correction).

It takes optimism when it comes to investing, but I just emphasize that never ignore the risk of volatility. Institutional investors can do anything with their funds because they put bitcoin as a hedge and they have a large reserve of money in the company. So whatever makes us influenced by them then we must not ignore the risk. The correction is still ongoing, now $46K. Next year can still be expected for ATH, of course.

My immediate thoughts on the new ATH and then it trading underneath that would be that market disappointment would lead to selling.   To break upwards but not hold it did seem bearish to me, of course we never know if the falter is just temporary or more of a regular pattern unfolding.  Now its had the trend down we have to conclude further revision of prices since July low must occur before proper upper BTC development can occur.    Stability in pricing is a positive in the end, its best not to rise uncontrollably as it will only collapse and do far more damage.
Right now the price action is steady even while negative its better this way then rapid changes that cause long term uncertainty and fear of holding, you can exit here any time or not fear too much to just buy and wait.

A lot of uncertainty right now, I'm sure there are some investors thinking of selling and probably buy when the price goes down. On the other hand, there could be investors just wanting to hold and not do anything stupid. Yes, it's stable and any break out run could occur, but it's really base on the sentiments on the market and currently it looks bearish to me.

Bitcoin's new ATH peak in 2021 is very clear at $68k and failed to break through $70k. 2022 is still waiting for the day, so don't expect any new ATH in 2021. bitcoin continues to be bearish currently at a low of $45k and holding between $45k - $49k.

Even if Bitcoin is unable to cross 70,000$ this year, there is nothing to regret. As things are turning up, I can easily see bitcoins crossing  hundred thousand dollar in early 2022.
I am hopeful for 2022, as I see this will bring the true bull run.

yes, ATH $69,044.77 - Nov 10, 2021 and it's been proven that the long-standing prediction that bitcoin will hit $100K by the end of the year didn't come true. even now bitcoin is experiencing a fairly deep correction and is very worrying. expect bitcoin to remain stable in the range above $40K and not fall below it.

The best hope is that at the end of January there will be a gradual increase so that in February it is hoped that a new ATH will be formed again. The unfulfilled desire to make it at $100K will soon be realized this year.
many expect that bitcoin will start to improve this year, and we are waiting to see if it will materialize or for a deeper correction.

We are just starting this year so there's a lot to grow for bitcoin's price. Last year, btc started in the 30k range in Jan 2021, but this year, we started in the $45k+ level. So there's already a good leap and we have a good start. I'm very optimistic with what may possibly happen in the next coming months. So before it crosses to another ATH, better prepare for it before you regret the chance that you haven't taken any action yet.

But if we went full year of bearish trend, then there will be no growth at all, on the contrary the price will continue to down. You can't compare the beginning of last year because it is obvious that we are still just in the beginning of a bullish market that reaches new all time high at $69,000.

Things are different now, and it seems that the bear market has taken over.

So I don't expect big things to happen right now so that I won't get disappointed at the end.

69,000 was the all time high for 2021. I hope this all time high is broken in this year. We really don't want to see new lows. As per many experts, this may be the year of bull run as it seems that bull cycle is extended.
But for all these good scenarios, bulls desperately need to push the prices higher from 42k.

The market lows will follow the situation from the daily news updates although no one from the community wants the crypto market to fall below $40k but chances are it will happen after bitcoin lows at $39k early January, the market needs a period of falling and boring before bullish for the price all-time highs expect in this year.

how can you see that the price of Bitcoin will be hundreds of thousands in early 2022?
that's a very fantastic knowledge that you have, whereas right now we are in a bear market that no one knows how long this will end. All speculation I think is reasonable, but it's just speculation that is not necessarily going to happen. maybe we should say that the market will recover but we all don't know when that will happen.
if seen from what has happened Bitcoin always grows to its peak price and can always recover but time will recover no one knows. it's all like in 2018 where there was a lot of speculation that the price of Bitcoin would be high in 2019-2020 but it never came.

Bitcoin price is consistency on decline since it hit it ATH back in November, 21. When we look at the broader picture of Financial markets, the tighter money supply and fear of interest rate increase is negatively impacting all markets including Bitcoin. In view of the foregoing we can predict that Bitcoin will remain side ways for many months to come and it is unlikely that it will hit new ATH in the near future.
