Title: Who are the top non-KYC requiring exchanges and P2P?
Post by: Turbolantern on November 14, 2021, 10:54:42 AM
I believe Localbitcoins used to be the top when it came to p2p but they now require KYC. Who took that spot?
And what about exchanges?

Note I'm asking about full service exchanges and P2P services, and not ones that put a limit for non verified users.

Paxful started asking for ID as well, so that leaves you with LocalCryptos.com or there is also BISQ but I believe it has way less liquidity.

You can follow what is posted above already, if you do not need kyc exchanges, you will have to go for decentralized exchanges like localcryptos, hodlhodl or bisq.

For altcoin based and not fiat exchanges, you can use these exchanges below

Top Decentralized Exchange Tokens by Market Capitalization
https://coinmarketcap.com/view/decentralized-exchange/

For trading and no verification like identity card, use this exchange

Kucoin
FTX

How about hodlhodl, it is also good.

When considering fiat/bitcoin trading, Bisq and LocalCryptos are the two best ones out there. Hodlhodl is another option, but is no longer available in the US. Yet more options include AgoraDesk and LocalMonero. You can see a good list of non-KYC exchanges here: https://kycnot.me/

Bisq is by far the best when it comes to security and privacy, but also has the steepest learning curve since you have to download and run the software yourself, rather than just open up a website like every other exchange. LocalCryptos is a close second. Both utilize non-custodial escrows between buyers and sellers. If you can't find a trade you like, don't be afraid of opening up your own one and just waiting patiently for someone to accept it.

Alternative options that work in similar way like localbitcoins but without KYC are localcryptos.com and hodlhodl.com.
All other centralized exchanges have some limits if you are not verified and they can freeze your coins at any time, so you are taking a risk every time trading there.

Lately it seems like that I have been in a loop of answers that always brings me down to this[1] comment of mine (that matches all your guys suggestions). The only thing that's left to recommend is Localcoinswap[2] that also deserves to be on your radar considering the offers it has. Please OP, in the future, use the search feature that the forum offers so that these questions aren't always being discussed around. I reckon that if the last answer regarding this topic would have been from 5-6 year ago things surely would have changed but when I've used the following search[3] parameters:

  • Search for: non-KYC
  • Message age: Between 0 and 365 days
  • Search order: Most recent topics first

I've found these[4][5] recent threads (one of them is where I posted my reply) that basically answer your question and are very much up to date. For sure we don't cover all eventual questions that exist regarding crypto/BTC world (but for sure we already have a huge backlog) but, in theory, questions of such nature such of yours have already been answered a couple of times. Best of luck in your endeavour OP.

I think it's only bisq that's a fully decentralized peer to peer exchange

Obviously he's looking for a non KYC p2p exchange where he can buy or sell crypto for fiat so this won't be helpful

Kucoin
FTX
You can't trade on both exchanges using fiat minus first having to undergo KYC verification

OP, try this site. It has some non KYC p2p exchanges.  The ones on top of the list are the best.

Either Localcryptos, or Localcoinswap.

I've personally used both sites with thousands of dollars without any issues. I've heard good things about Bisq as well but I have not personally tried them myself.

Paxful and LBC are no more for non-KYC users I believe. And Binance obviously isn't either.

Check this list --> https://kycnot.me/

The list above is good, but remember the peer-to-peer trading depends on that the platform is a place to find reliable people to conduct business with them. The platform can also contain an escrow and evaluation to ensure that fraud does not occur, and therefore the extent of its quality varies according to the country, sometimes there are thousands of traders for a country and other have less than 3.

You can also search for people from LocalBitcoin/Paxful and ask them to register on one of the platforms above.

Seems anonimity will move more and more to swap services and 2nd layer solutions where kyc does not excist.
p2p traders will get more hidden in TG groups/hangouts and wil be harder to get in if you can find them.

I'm not sure about Localbitcoin but AFAIK, Paxful doesn't allow messaging people unless you initiate a trade, so basically you will need to have enough money in your account to pay for both the transaction and the escrow which is something you can't do unless you're verified sadly.

I see a lot of trusted member add them TG or Whatsapp for fast response.
The idea is that Bisq/LC's problem is that there are not many members that you can trade with and therefore sites like LBC have a lot of members.
You do not need to deposit or use the chat option on the site.
