Well lets hope his account didndt get hack , my account was never hack . I believe someone pm him posting like me same (username) asking for a refund, and stating that account was hacked where eventually my account was never hacked.

Whatever Frank's reasoning was, either to protect you or?, I'm sure it was legit. He is a solid guy and I'm sure you'll hear from him soon.

Looks like this thread has been of interest to some scammers, I also got the DM with the fake link at the bottom.

I guess the scam is to impersonate people here and ask for a refund.

Not sure if someone is impersonating me through DMs, but just to confirm, I'm still interested in getting this awesome bar.

Pinky clearly got hacked. Unfortunately these types of scams of impersonating others have been becoming more prevalent than ever. Always always be super careful, never do business off the forum unless you are 100% of the person on the other end, set a good password, etc.

Unfortunately scammers are always watching these threads. Crazy thing is a lot of people actually do who aren’t members here too. Sometimes they’ll finally join and say “I was just lurking for a few years “ or something like that. Kinda odd to me.

Alpencoin got a pm they state was from you asking for a refund - which they issued. Yet you state you made no such request. So, either someone has an account name very similar to yours or someone has access to your account.

So what happened? Was it another account that asked for the refund posing as pinky1234? Or was pinky1234 account compromised and someone else sent the request thru their account?

pinky1234's account was compromised and someone else asked for the refund through his account.
With the Help of Liquidoptions, pinky1234 was able to prove us, that now, the account isn't compromised anymore.

gotcha - were they compromised thru a dm'd link? If so, that method is starting to become annoyingly common.

We are considering making a second batch. Not sure about it. 100 is already a large number.

We are now working on "Abiky's coin" with Jabid and an anonymous member of Bitcointalk. The design is on the right track, but we need time.

I wouldn't recommend a second batch, unless it is a different release/edition and different in appearance, at the least like Series 1 & 2, which each had Brilliant and Matte editions.  Otherwise, collectors may frown upon changing the hard cap of 100 and increasing it afterwards; with a different release/edition you could increase or decrease the mintage from 100 as you choose.  Looking forward to the "Abiky's coin".

+1. Let the secondary market create opportunities for others to procure one of these, rather than a second batch. A second batch would dilute the value of the first.

if more are made then it should be a different series - same as with your coins.

I’d be all for a second series that’s different like the coins. Or a DIY series.

Here is an idea, since 100g of gold is roughly equal to 0.1btc at currect prices why not a 100g gold bar funded with 0.1 btc

yes it was over sold - people were sending in pymts without waiting for confirmation on availablility - Alpen has to sort thru the requests and payments and most likely issue quite a few refunds.

A preorder would be nice next time.

correct - the issue was that people were sending payments without waiting to see what inventory was left (as there was a limit to 100 bars).

people should have placed their reservation and once alpencoin confirmed it - then sent their payments. It got kinda crazy to say the least and now a lot of people are angry it seems at alpencoin as many paid and will not get a bar - when really they should be angry with themselves for not getting confirmation on their reservation first.

My bar was one of the first reserved and I don't even get to have it - I told Alpencoin to go ahead and give it to someone who was complaining about not getting one because they had paid - so whoever gets #76, be happy as you got my bar :)

And now my set of #76's of Alpen's will be missing a piece :)

I feel you Mopar haha. I was one of the first 10, received confirmation, but I was actually too slow in making the payment; that's my fault. By the time I was home, the chaos was already in full swing. Thankfully, I had already won #50 in a raffle  :)

Frank stated he was going through the orders one at a time and contacting people. It was pretty clear. Don't send payment till you get confirmation.

Maybe limit purchase to 1 or 2 bars only. I know I saw someone who bought 10, lol.

lol in case you missed the thread/posts above the bars are over sold many who reserved a bar are not getting theirs and quite a few who paid for the bars are not getting them.

This is not due to Alpencoin causing an issue but from people who sent in payments without confirming the availability.

Received my bars today and I have to say, I didn't get the number of bars I wanted but whatever I did, it's an absolute beauty, not just the bars but the whole package in itself is just amazing..

hey its ok lol I am not mad - if my posts sound that way - it isnt so!

the only upsetting part is seeing how the community treated Alpencoin with people getting mad at him when the bars are gone and they sent pymts in with no confirmation! Their fault - not his. I would hate to see the community lose someone like Alpencoin as a creator due to the stress it caused him.

He has always done his best and done right be everyone here as best he could.

My bars arrived and they are gorgeous. My only suggestion would be to stop using legacy addresses.

It's an amazing work of art, it comes in a great presentation box, certificate of authenticity, satoshi millionaire stickers, nice touches all around. Excellent buy.

The bar itself comes protected in a transparent case, it has a very nice weight to it and the size is perfect. Also the design is amazing. I'm very happy with my bar.

This is an extremely well made bar, can't wait to see what Frank makes in 2022!
