Title: My coins percentage down

It is just as usual. During bull market, the altcoins can increase more, but during the bear market, the altcoins will decrease most. That is the reason I prefer bitcoin during bear market.

I do not know if this is true, but I have heard that some people convert altcoins to bitcoin during bear market, but even if it is not true, altcoins are sold than bitcoin which is the reason for the more altcoin price fall.

The higher the gains the higher the volatility that's what altcoins are all about, when bear market strikes it's always safer to hold the big boys BTC and ETH because they can recover pretty faster than altcoins

You don't have bitcoin, don't you? If you don't have bitcoin on your portfolio, you really are dealt with bigger losses. Just so you know, it's one of the most needed crypto in one's portfolio. There's no need for an explanation because the market itself is in correction.
That's why if the market goes in correction, bitcoin corrects and being part of it, the most affected and will have more percentage in losses are the altcoins especially those that are not at the top.

It's really hard to explain things in crypto market, just when you thought that they are supposed to move in this direction, it will go on the opposite.

And for the altcoins market it's doesn't follow patterns although they may have correlations to bitcoin market. And since bitcoin is down, most of the altcoins are also down.

Most altcoins are built upon the Bitcoin Blockchain and so what ever the market trend is with Bitcoin it affects some altcoins. This is why having Bitcoin as a the major coin in your portfolio saves the day. Most of the coin might crash and some would survive but Bitcoin keeps pulling up after the dip

I know your feeling. The sad truth is, that if Bitcoin and Ethereum are dumping then all the other coins and especially smaller projects dump even harder than the big ones. This has always been the case as long as i have followed the crypto market since 2017. My Portfolio consists mainly of projects that are new and therefore it took a massive hit back in May this year and it wenn down more than 90% or so. With the recent dump of the market i am at around 20% of it's ATH Value back in the beginning of May. Once the market recovers and BTC and ETH beging to climb it usually takes a while until the smaller cap projects are rising too.

Not all altcoins will feel the market crash but most of it will when Bitcoin and Ethereum is down. Where does it go? I think that's the main question we all want answer with. There are three gateways right now rather than two, in my opinion. Before it's just cash and stablecoins. But now, it could be riding the hype for an NFT item. Sell your alts for a different name, coin, ticker or project and expect it to make more gains than the previous investment that you made.
Why it's difficult pin point where the money went? There's just too many altcoins in the market now and tracing it all will be a lot of work.

What are you looking for exactly? I think I'm yet to get your question. The entire market is red and most of the coins have lost huge value. So, it's normal to see the same with your portfolio too.
There's a cycle which market follows- if BTC pumps altcoin doesn’t, if BTC dumps altcoins dump too and if BTC become sideways for a long time, altcoin pumps. So, wait for the sideways.

It's not the end of the world, what people don't understand is crypto market works with time if you can HoDL you will reap alot of gains, the only danger to watch out for is scam projects, choose the big boys and you will have a wonderful future ahead of you

There is no rocket science in this because whenever Bitcoin pumps and stabilized at that's when Altcoin pumps and once bitcoin stops dumping Altcoin started dumping even faster. That's when the value of Tether is slightly increased since most of the users will be safeguarding their capital by converting it into stablecoins, some of the users shift their fund from altcoins to Bitcoin because Bitcoin doesn't dump like alts.

That's true only exit scams go away with all the funds but as long as the project is legit I know its price will recover, but the most confusing thing is the rate at which altcoin price crashed like a pill of cakes in an oven made me wonder the altcoin market movement works.

Is the drop percentage different from popular cryptocurrency tracking sites like coingecko[1] or cryptowat.ch? Because during the past two days, CMC website (which many wallets depend on) was giving wrong prices for many Altcoins.

If the prices are the same, what happened is a 20% - 30% drop of Bitcoin price, and therefore most altcoins are affected by the correction in the price of Bitcoin.

The altcoin market generally works by following the fluctuations of bitcoin, but every currency has a different pattern of fluctuations, and some currencies may give crazy highs that are difficult to predict (if it have a small MarketCap or listed in a few exchange or limited volumes) which mean great loss or great loss.

This is very correct because the altcoin market move in collaboration with the bitcoin market and any time there is a drop in Bitcoin price it will not take long before the altcoin market follows because the ethereum blockchain work with Bitcoin also so it is proper to say that bitcoin is the controller of all other cryptocurrencies in market supply.

The ups and downs of altcoin prices are very natural things to happen, therefore patience is very important in investing in crypto, when a bear market comes to be an advantage for those who want to start investing, because after the market stabilizes the coin price habit will increase, and this is a opportunities to sell and take profit, as well as altcoins that we hold have decreased, holding is a very right decision, especially the coins we hold are BTC, ETH, and BNB, these coins have great potential and have very good prospects, so they are worth it to invest in the long term.

The movement of altcoins is indeed different from stocks if the stock will rise when the company rises not with cryptocurrencies. There are usually certain event events that make altcoins go up. When the project is good it is not necessarily the price remains stable as we are currently in a bear market. Even good projects will go down. That's how the altcoin price works system here.

when the market is experiencing a downturn, the best thing to do is to hold on to the assets you own, especially if the assets you hold are ethereum and binance, these altcoins have high popularity so their growth is very fast compared to other altcoins, I think investing in crypto a must have high patience, so that you can feel the great benefits of your investment.

It's how it works, the market goes up and down all the time... After bull mode comes bear mode, as usual! Of course, volatility is always present but it's not always the same, it's what's makes trading interesting!

OP can be sure that only his wallet is red, it's with most of us at the moment... just rare coins are making some progress these days, but I am not one of the lucky holders! I guess we need to be strong and wait for better times!

the ups and downs of altcoin prices are a mechanism for crypto to develop further, price declines do not only occur for low-cap altcoins, but also apply to BTC which is the mecca of all altcoins, where volatility is always repeated and repeated which makes crypto more meaningful,

The altcoins market tracks the price of bitcoin, there is a close relationship between them. If the price of bitcoin dumps, most altcoins are greatly affected as well as if its price rises, so you shouldn't worry because the crypto market doesn't continue in the same condition, it may rise sharply overnight or within hours, so you have to hold your altcoins and not sell at a loss.

I suggest not to study copycats, this is the truth, study Bitcoin, Ethereum, and nothing else, so that you can get a longer time.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are good investment but they are not the only good coins that are available. There are other altcoins with use case. Most coins in top 20 in both CMC and coingecko are quality coins for a longtime investment. It is better to research through them like BnB is doing good, solana, cardano are also a longtime investment.

Yes I totally agree with your suggestion because that way we can also keep our assets safe in the event of a price drop that we don't expect because our priority is only on Bitcoin or ethereum.

I was advised some time ago to change my altcoin into Bitcoin since Bitcoin has a more stable price compared to altcoin and I did so and the result was positive those altcoins I was holding before have now dropped to almost zero in price.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are two coins that very often go down simultaneously and also increase simultaneously too, so to secure assets into these two coins is still a little less secure so you need to consider stable coins like USDT and also others to secure assets if you are not using them for long time.

In fact, digital currencies have a special impression that makes them unstable. They can drift downward as well as return to the top, so you must be in a good psychological state and not be irritated with the sharp volatility that the market knows, and you must choose currencies worth storing such as Bitcoin!!!

When the market is down, our assets are automatically down, this December my crypto assets are also down more than 14%, this is because I was late in switching to stable coins, and I will monitor the market at least once a day to be able to make the best decision, namely hold in coin or park to coin stable.

You should be the one who knows better why your Altcoins portfolio is down, even though Bitcoin and Altcoins have their respective price increase factors, for example from news (regarding socio-cultural, altcoin project development, token release and others).

As you said that your Altcoins portfolio is down, it means that there is something that supports the situation, try to find out for yourself about the Altcoins you are investing in.

Let me explain with some few illustration, in the past years, Bitcoin has risen from a price of $4k to highs of $60k+ meaning Bitcoin rise between 13-15x depending on which lows and highs you choose. Now when it come to altcoins, we have many coins that have done 100s of x which means people are most likely going to pull out more money form this project as they anticipate other Investors doing the same.

Also history doesn't favor the altcoins which is another reason investors would want to secure their gains as a result the market crashes more. If yo yo take a trip down memory lane, the altcoins market get the most corrections as coins correct 70-90% during the bear and just few survive this crash mainly because new and more attractive duplicate projects are created and they take the attention from the inferior/old ones also new trend take over the altcoin market and the hype on the old trend dies down.

Altcoins work according to bitcoin, if the condition of bitcoin is corrected, then altcoi also get an effect, that's why people always say that the development of altcoins is largely determined by bitcoin, no one is even able to analyze altcoins when bitcoin is corrected, and when I learned almost everything was true , but not forever the two coins will move the same, both correction and pumping.

Check hugeblack's reply. You might have been reading it wrong if it only in one website. Mostly when I check the price of the coin say for one : bitcoin, I would check "btc to usd" in Google quickly then double check it with various sites.
Some are writing it wrong in their site maybe due to traffic.

Most altcoins will follow Bitcoin. Once Bitcoin is crashed, altcoins will be more crashed. The chance of altcoins to rise up is after the rising up of Bitcoin itself. I know what you feeling because all of my altcoin assets are also decreasing, moreover there are some altcoins that decreased more than 50% from what I bought. This may be very risky and also hurt, but that is the risk of investing in altcoins.
That is why some management of funds is very important, where we must decide on how much we invest in Bitcoin and how much in altcoins. What kind of altcoins and also what kind of future einvestment.

Although it is believed that the movement of altcoins is strongly influenced by the movement of Bitcoin, it still cannot be considered a complete dependence. At different times, some altcoins may move in completely opposite directions. This unpredictability is a feature of young markets, which includes the crypto market. For this reason, here we can get both fantastic profits and huge losses.

Some traders do this but the majority prefer to trade their coins to stable coins like USDT, BUSD because these are stable coins they are pegged to $1 and they hardly go down or go up, it was created for this purpose to convert your coins and protect your investment, it's a big help during the bear market and once the market shift direction they buy back their coins.

Altcoin market works the same way as the bitcoin market, but is more volatile than bitcoin. What coins have you invested in? Since your altcoin portfolio crashed very badly, I am assuming you invested in some random altcoins. The top altcoins haven't gone down a lot during this crash (went down almost as same as bitcoin). Only shitcoins and memecoins take a huge hit during this kind of crashes. If you have invested in one of those coins, I would suggest you to cut your losses short and invest in well developed coins like bitcoin, ethereum or solana. If you think the coins you have invested in has good potential, then keep holding. If they are good they will rise in the long run.

Altcoin market is very sensitive with the market sentiment. Bitcoin has become the main concern why your altcoin was going down so hard. In crypto all about speculations but i can't deny that when you're seeing bitcoin down and this might be a signal for the whole of altcoin market if it will be bleeding caused by the bitcoin dump. Remember this rule. It's hard for altcoin to increase when bitcoin gets pumped but when bitcoin gets down and whole of market was also following it. It seems like that the rule in crypto market is always getting changed.

The crypto market is abstract even a token without any news can be pumped. So many people are also feeling confused with it. Sometimes TA and FA were totally shit and it can't be used anymore in crypto.

Predicting the crypto market is never easy because it constantly moves and we do not know where it will be.
When you can profit from the altcoin and convert it into usdt, that can be a safe way for temporary because the altcoin price will have a correction, especially if the price hits the highest price.
But if bought the altcoin at the lowest price, you do not have to worry, even if the price is down because the price is hard to back to the lowest price unless bitcoin crashes.

This is the nature of the market and it is good to have a bit of knowledge on how the market moves, that it is not uptrend all the time, however, if you have confidence in the projects you have invested in, then HODLing your assets wouldn't be a bad Idea till the market recovers which is usually the case.

Everything goes down when several top coins decreases it's price aince most of crypto are pulled and controlled it's fluctuation by bitcoin and also ethereum. However, when bear market occurs, almost all crypto would go down you have to assume that and you can't do anything about al your assets that falls down, you just have to patiently wait back for your good turn hoping for your coins to rise up when bullish comes.

That's the risk to the crypto market. The market in crypto is very volatile and unpredictable. Every fundamental aspect is very influential on existing coins. For now when all markets are red or experiencing a decline is natural with the existing cycle. Being more patient and waiting and observing is a good move.

well, it's very natural if that happens. basically the price of the crypto world, stocks, and so on goes up and down. considering it's the end of the year, it's only natural that we see the current market down. besides, the market will not always go up. if people think that this is a quick way to get rich overnight, they are wrong thinking.
depending on the type of crypto you hold, if it's an altcoin, you can log on to their official telegram, and see what happens there. If that's bad news, you can either cut or hold on to it, and if there's no news, chances are people are selling off their assets in preparation for Christmas and New Years.
but for cryptocurrencies, many expect the market to rise by the end of the year, and that has become a habit for previous years. but all can not be sure of that. for stocks and forex, the market at this time is less enthusiastic, considering the long holidays for Christmas and the new year. but hopefully not with crypto, we still have 2 weeks ahead, so holding is my choice

At a time when the entire cryptocurrency market is in a downward trend, buying Ethereum or Bitcoin does not make sense. Buying Bitcoin will make sense when the market stabilizes. At the moment, he just have to wait and in the long term, he will also work off losses on altcoins he hold.

All will fall if it is in the scenario where the market is correcting and after each period it needs to find opportunities and support motivation to recover.  It is normal for the percentage of assets to decrease.  DCA or buy dip is my choice to lower moving averages at buy prices because my plans build for the long term.

Crypto wouldn't always strike high because it isn't always a bull run for most coins so you must expect corrections and a bearish thread because that's how altcoins move. Before investing, we're always advised to do our research simply because the market is volatile and certain changes could happen anytime and you must always be ready for that.

As you know Bitcoin is a major altcoin and all crypto market is related to Bitcoin price if Bitcoin price will go up its mean investors investing in Bitcoin and also investing in other altcoin and if the price of Bitcoin goes down it mean investors selling Bitcoin and this is confirmed other altcoins prices will be down. so keep eye on Bitcoin always because all markets are related to Bitcoin.

The cryptocurrency market develops cyclically. A period of price growth is always followed by a period of decline, which also ends with growth, but at a different level. Of course, you need to take into account the prospects of a specific project, because if a token of a useless project appears on the market, it is unlikely that after a general market fall, it will grow along with all cryptocurrencies.
But the overall development of the market is simultaneously influenced by various external factors, including negative and positive news information, the influence of whales, and others. As a rule, all this is superimposed on each other in time and then it is difficult to understand the movement of the market.

Big changes coming. Btc controls the crypto market price. Major companies are pulling out for liquidity. U.S. Govt will be doing the same. I can see prices falling more. Hopefully when the smoke clears everything will come back up and coins will start to break away from btc.
Hold tight and you will enjoy the profit.

Altcoins will get dumped one day or other hence there will be no point of planning up long term investments with altcoins. You need to book your targeted profits as soon as you do get. You sound like you got diversified portfolio but you must need typical plans for altcoins which may not be applicable to all other investment types. Moreover, altcoins will grow when bitcoin will be testing its ATH and bitcoin is expected to enter into strong er bullish mode from the beginning of 2022.

If you want to have balanced portfolio which will be in growing stably (at least year wise) then you must include bitcoin in more percentage then all altcoins together. A portfolio which is made up with only altcoins may lose its vale over the time for sure.

When correction starts, people get rid of different altcoins first. They are more risky and because of that they are more volatile. Many people who invest in the long-term continue holding different fundamental currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, but they sell off altcoins as it is not understandable if this coins will survive this bear market or will be abandoned.

You do not have to worry because all people in crypto have the same thing as you. We can use this time to buy back many coins, including bitcoin, to be ready for the next bull run, although we do not know when it will come. We know that when bitcoin is down, it will impact altcoin price to go down and sometimes, the down will be too deep than we can expect. It already happened a long time ago so you do not have to panic or worry.

Of course it's natural that if the market goes down, our assets will go down, but I recommend being patient and don't panic because the market will recover soon, the most important thing is that our assets are coins that have a strong reputation such as MATIC, CAKE or those ranked in the top 100, if the market recovers it will be soon profit again.

That is the explanation I lean toward bitcoin during bear market. That is the reason assuming the market goes in adjustment, bitcoin rectifies and being essential for it, the most impacted and will have more rate in misfortunes are the altcoins particularly. It's truly difficult to clarify things in crypto market, exactly when you felt that they should move toward this path, it will go on the inverse.

It's not only you who experience a decline in assets, almost all altcoin owners experience it, don't worry.
and a little explanation of why your assets are down, because basically altcoins are built on the Bitcoin Blockchain chain so that if bitcoin experiences a decline then atlcoins will go down too,
so as a lesson if the market has shown a decrease in bitcoin worth 20% of the initial price, save your altcoin in usdt or BTC and eth (just my thoughts)

Events like this were experienced by many predecessors, in real cryptocurrencies that is what happens when the price of bitcoin goes up, some popular altcoins also go up while other altcoins are normal, when the bull run market occurs the price of altcoins goes up, maybe the altcoins in your portfolio still need it. time to go up again what happens to your coin is very reasonable to go down the market is being corrected after a new ATH is reached.
The entire market percentage works as a system and at any point rolls in the chain dimension and the percentages drag each other, Bitcoin took the lead with its correction mode after each all time will affect another altcoin so if a portfolio falls in percentage it means the coins on your list have dropped in price chat.

it's worth going out and someone coming in.
this position exists and is highly expected by traders. indirectly the price that forms (bullish tokens) is a service for traders' activities. if they are difficult to enter (waiting for a bearish moment) then it is difficult to have interest. I may also wait, don't want to buy at a high price.
we just follow in their midst.. when the bull market? Yes, we can sell even if we only monitor the traders in action. We can see their activities.

but there is some experience with altcoins may be true, in outlining some of his opinions.

In my portfolio there were several coins including BTC.
But with the last dump, not all coins fell more than BTC. And in general, this is not always a correct statement that "When  BTC fall, alts fall more". It all depends on the purchase of the token itself and domination BTC on market, etc. For example NEAR and MATIC, have shown themselves excellently recently! They even grew up!

I think the market price depends on the buyer. As the buyer increases, the price of altcoins increases. When the buyer decreases, then the price decreases. There is no existence, When the buyer starts to decrease then the price goes down. As the new coins come in the market their purchases increase. They give some profit.

There is no magic recipe that would predict how the market would go. Even the new coins that are listed hyped for a while and had a good entry while listing and even those coins went down after a few trading days. That is how the market is right now, it is hard to predict how the market would gain momentum, it all depends upon individual projects and how they are planning to attract the investors.

During the bear market, altcoins suffer mostly in total percentage that's why experienced players switch to the top coins during the bear phase. Whenever a big dip occurs in the bitcoin usually experienced traders prefer to shift into the Bitcoin instead of Altcoins So Altcoins drops that time and I feel that is the best strategy to make some extra profit by the right decision at the right time. In the past 4 years, I notice Whenever BTC makes a new high and then starts consolidating that time is the best time for altcoins boom.

In your case, it seems your choice altcoin went down significantly which in turn affected your portfolio.

While we refer them as altcoins the truth is that we are speaking about thousands of coins and each one of them has its own internal dynamics, so if the market in general is stable but the coins that you are holding are going down then there could be several reasons for that, to begin with you could have invested in bad coins so they are going down because no one is interested in them, another reason is simply that maybe the development is too slow and people are tired of waiting, and finally it could just that the demand for the coin is low right now but it will eventually recover.

That is just how it is, the cryptocurrency market is volatile. Especially all these altcoins; whenever they are about to drop, their drop in price is usually too much.  They are not like Bitcoin which has a really big market cap and can be able to stay a bit stable and not drop too much or lose much value.

So, I am guessing that the altcoins you have selected are losing too much value, and that’s why your portfolio is like that. If you take your time to go through all the coins that you have invested in, and look at how much they have lost in value, you would see that what is being shown on your portfolio is correct. The coins you have selected might not have been that good, that’s why you have to be careful when you are selecting altcoins in the market, make sure that you’re selecting the good ones or from the top of the list.

Even as your portfolio is down there are alot of others whose portfolios are up and looking good. Maybe you will start being careful the type of crypto assets you buy henceforth. Do not look at token low price to buy them but what program and development you believe they have.

It is just as usual. During bull market, the altcoins can increase more, but during the bear market, the altcoins will decrease most. That is the reason I prefer bitcoin during bear market...

What is the point of holding bitcoin in a bear market if you are not a bitcoin maximalist? In this case, it is economically more correct to hold stablecoins when the market becomes bearish. Thus, you will have a great opportunity to buy coins, including bitcoin, at a lower price.

It is something quite simple and yet a lot of people simply decide to ignore this reality, volatility works both ways, it can give great profits if you invest in the right altcoin but it can also give you massive losses, and if you invest in those altcoins then you need a strategy to deal with that volatility, because if you do not then sooner or later you will invest in a coin that goes down very rapidly and you will have no way to deal with it, losing a significant amount of your capital in the process.

Don't panic bro. During this market correction or bear trap, all coins are mostly droped. That is why our portfolio is also dropped. If we panic, we may sell the assets in lower prices and we loose our money. But if we can still be able to hold it, there may be chance to meet next bullish season.
I know that this is hard and not easy to be done. But for me, I don't have any good idea, better to still hold my coins rather than selling them in lower price.

Altcoins especially news ones when btc takes a hit will tank like crazy and it will be very easy to see something like -90% and you will have to factor things like since its a new coin then it will likely have unlocks for private investors and some do have public investors vesting too. Anytime that happen price might tank alot especially if there is no use case at that moment since its basically a new coin

As far as performance history is concerned, when BTCitcoin is quite dipping, the majority of altcoins also follows. That's how powerful the impact of BTC price movement is on the crypto market. When BTC is now on the rise, some altcoins also follow "BUT" it doesn't mean the majority will.

There's no specific explanation about that so I will say that check the performance history when BTC is either on a bullish or bearish trend.

Apperently, everyone is down, we are all waiting for bitcoin to stabilize so that Altcoins can do some magic as it used to, take a look at Fantom FTM that drop drastically despite everyone calling it a rare gem, the sold off by many investors was massive and we have all come back to accumulation stage.
You should also remember that Altcoins always tend to outperform bitcoin in term of gains and when it tend to fall, they do the opposite die to the volatility of their nature, they will all bounce back by the way.

There are 2 things that are happening to the altcoin market everyday or every other day at least.
1. When Bitcoin is down, most of the altcoins follow causing the whole market to crash.
2. There are some instances where the market is down because Bitcoin is down but some altcoins are still going upwards for some reasons. Maybe a huge development happened or most of this are just good news or fundamentals.

Since Bitcoin is down for weeks already, altcoins follow the trend and they are also down though we can also see some altcoins going up for some reasons. Why are you asking this at first place? You don't hold any Bitcoin aren't you? or you just don't know how the market moves?

Not that altcoin will be the ones to multiply first, even altcoins are following bitcoin price movement, if bitcoin increase, altcoins will follow, if bitcoin decrease, altcoins will also follow. Just that the rate altcoins will increase will be higher but the rate it will decrease will also be higher. But there can be exceptions, there are over 10000 altcoins in the world, many coins are shitcoins and many are dead coins, many will increase but will not increase up to the percentage bitcoin increase while the fall can be more.

Where did you see this or heard the information that the market is going down. Check the price of bitcoin and altcoins, there was a big fall like on 4th or 7th of December or so, after the fall, the market has been bullish again. Bitcoin that got to $40800 is now over $50000. If not that significant, but the market has been bullish recently. Bitcoin price even reached $51000 some hours ago.

Cryptocurrencies are a type of high-risk investment, there are good tips from experts, namely invest the amount that we can think is lost, don't invest in money with a definite goal of profit so that when you see a different reality, you panic and sell at a loss.

if you say that investing in crypto has a high risk I think it's true, but if you say that investing is not for the purpose of making profit I think that is something you are wrong to say, because most people invest only with the aim of making a profit. that's why I invest in crypto or in stablecoins with the aim of making a profit in the future

This is a risk that we certainly don't like, many altcoins are going down because the market conditions are still red, but I'm always optimistic that the market will recover soon and our assets will rise again soon, the most important key is to always be patient to hold and not panic.
if you look at it now it's actually greener than that and they have made a pretty good move from the correction a few weeks ago.
just seeing the red price for a moment is normal because the increase must have a correction and it is a natural thing for their jump.
On the other hand, there is now a positive trend there because the price is slowly increasing I think
Indeed, market conditions in crypto, there is a time for correction and pumping that continues to occur, positive trends will reappear for the future and will slowly recover to normal conditions, this is a normal thing caused by the market, at least we can take advantage of correction conditions to buy some of the coins we want and at the time of pumping we can sell to get the maximum profit, we must be able to see and analyze this opportunity carefully, so that the investment we make can provide maximum profit benefits.

It does sound easier, buying during a correction like now and selling it when it is pumping. But such a theory will not apply to those who have entered in too high a price due to FOMO as well as those who sold it at a crash price when they panicked. The most important influence for such conditions is psychological power. Psychological management must really be done. Analysis or strategy will fall apart if psychology cannot be controlled.

That he probably just check a week before as market correction come but for now, we eventually recovered and started to roll back high again. If we keep this momentum, it is probably early next year we are able to be in full recovery. Well, it hopes so...

Well, to see a huge dump on our portfolio doesn't surprise us when the market price were about to drop. I guess you just hold and to see it rises again OP. Of course, keep yourself updated and never miss it as this could help you, otherwise.

Just keep in mind that market is volatile. It is really unpredictable and there's no accurate way to predict the what could be the price in the future sometimes even you think you are 100% accurate with your analysis that will not be outcome or result of the market. Just to give you some idea of usual market, if BTC pumps altcoin crash since the funds go to Bitcoin and when the Bitcoin crash the altcoins will pump since people moved to altcoins.

I didn't understand your question but I am thinking that you want to ask in which coin you get a big loss. and my answer is ENJ I bought ENJ in 4$ per ENJ now it is the price is 2$ per token :'(
As for the example of loss, I think there are lots of coins that you can mention here, but if you refer to the OP's question then there are only a few coins that are suitable to have as long as you have enough patience to hold them until you are profitable with them.

ENJ is a good one but it's just there really are those investors that have bought it at the wrong time. Well, it was the time when the price seems to be high.

We all understand that we all have the same problem with some altcoins that we bought. If we bought at the top, we have options. To sell with a few loss or hold until it goes back.

Market is recover 10-20% especially metaverse token behaving very good. This clearly show that if Bitcoin remain stable here for two days we can expect good rally in altcoin.
I don't know which tokens you bought. If its not meme coin i believe that it will recover soon. This is why i always Ptefer Spot trading over future. If market down you can hold for some time to recover you portfolio.

What I said is still at the normal stage, but if the panic condition can't be controlled, it will be dangerous and come back with the knowledge you have, entering a price that is too high is also not a good thing, if the condition of the previous coin is not at that price, different with Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB, this is why knowledge must be balanced with the fact, if too much hope is targeted, it is not necessarily certain that a particular coin will achieve it.

This is the risk we hold cryptocurrencies, as we know that the concept of decentralization makes the price of cryptocurrencies like a roller coaster, even bitcoin which already has a market cap of more than $800 billion is still very volatile and a few days ago it dropped more than 16%, but as long as we are patient then we opportunity to profit again.

So all you have to do is buy when some coin pumps without doing any research. A crisis buy is the worst time to make a purchase since it will go down and you will be a panic seller. You should just wait and it will recover. I have held on to a couple of tokens for many years. This is a long game, but it's worthwhile. My advice is to store some stable coins. On red days, you can purchase dollar cost average.

The condition for maintaining the assets it owns can only be done if the assets purchased are potential assets. for assets that have just been released in the market and then go down, of course, it is the result of a market that is not yet strong. demand is still very small. because when open trading most of them holders will take profit in the beginning. and waiting to log in again type dump has occurred.
but if the OP has options on good assets, Hold is a good option. it all depends on his patience. because the momentum built by each asset sometimes does not follow the trend of conditions that occur in the market.

This is a pretty positive thought but it won't work and the same thinking as a newbie :D
especially by still looking at the value of money that makes them panic so that when the nominal they see is Dollars, it is very natural for them to panic when there is a correction.
On the other hand, things like this, as you said, are very reasonable because apart from decentralization, we also see their volatility, which fluctuates, so when there is an increase, there will definitely be a decrease waiting for it and vice versa.

It is true that the price of bitcoin is very volatile but I like the people that just hold and never sell, they can buy more even when the price of bitcoin is falling, the price will increase again and gain will still be the result. If everyone can be thinking like this and have this in their investment plan, it would really help. Nevertheless, no one that holds that will lose, only time is needed. People that are losing are traders and people that just want to sell very early. Those that are losing and sold early but later they regret that they sold after bitcoin price rose again.

The best thing to do is to hold your altcoins for now no matter the Percentage you lose cause selling now will result to loss.I am optimistic that market will recover very soon after this downtrend.

You're probably looking at the top x coins and thinking that it is representative of the whole market.

In reality, this is definitely not the case. Your coins could be exotic small caps that have very little correlation with the rest of the market.

Especially these days where there are so many unrelated tokens. Just use something like FTX to track all your crypto holdings.

The market is down so that the value of cryptocurrencies or our assets is down, this is normal as long as we can be patient to wait, then I'm sure the market will recover soon and today the market has gone up more than 5%.

There is no such thing as the crypto market will not recover soon. It's impossible that we will be in a bear trend forever.

But do you really like to see the crypto market will be bullish again? If you don't have a coin for hold, think twice. The bearish trend is the best opportunity we have to make a buyback again. Without a correction, we don't have a choice but to buy on-peak prices which the majority don't like. Although if you think that you have a great number of your hold coins already and just waiting for a big price movement to the moon, then good luck at all.

There are times when we are patient with market conditions that are correcting, panic will bring us to bad conditions, but most importantly before starting to buy a coin, we must really know the level of its development in the future, by studying various things, trends, teams and communities, if we think it's good, then make a careful purchase.

It's very hard to give general advice on why the alt coin markert drops. What kind of coins are you holding and what are the sizes of your individual positions. When it comes to alt coin trading and investing the biggest factor for me is diversification. I have seen too many promising projects losing 90% of its value, that's why I am not going to put my eggs all in one basket. The largest part of my portfolio is bitcoins, I strongly believe that the most famous crypto coin is going to keep rising. The smallest part of my portfolio are meme coins, here I only invest a few bucks so when they lose value its not really affecting my overall portfolio.
The biggest driver of the alt coin market is bitcoins. If the bitcoins drops in value than its going to pull down the whole market. In December the new covid mutation started spreading around the world and investors are panicking. It's not a serious panic since we don't have many facts yet about omicron variant. It's going to take weeks to analyse if all the vaccines are really useless against it. Against such big news like covid pandemic we can't really protect us, it's general market risk and doesn't mean that your coins are bad.

Actually it's not good to start investing only relying on influencers and developing speculations, everyone must have their own analysis to do something, making a little research on coins is not so difficult in my opinion, if you are still a beginner, we can find as much information as possible, then make judgments with the analysis that we have, expect influencers and speculation is very speculative of the final result that we will receive.
this is the problem because sometimes the beginners do not understand this. on the other hand they are also still very confused in finding information or making their personal analysis because this is quite difficult and beyond their control.
there was no other way for them than to believe some people's speculation even though it was a real trap.
On the other hand, I personally do not think that beginners are wrong, but the steps they take are not quite right. they should study deeper before actually entering but now they prefer to follow what is already there without being equipped with sufficient knowledge

Yeah, recovery phase for different altcoin is always different hence we cannot have any generalized opinion on all altcoins while investing with them. It would be better if you go investing at the beginning of bull run and should book profits by the times of end of bull run; so that we do not need to hold on bearish trend. If you happen to hold on bearish trend then you got only 50% chances for recovery.

In December the new covid mutation started spreading around the world and investors are panicking.
yeah due to that reason, we are still got stuck around $50k levels otherwise we might have been trading around a new ATH by this time.

You are right, however when altcoins rise for reasons other than a BTC bullish trend, it is because they are actually pumping it from elsewhere, perhaps to create a possible pump and dump, or because some devs want their currency to go down. look good for them to come in to buy and they can sell little by little, this is a strategy that is always applied in all markets, in fact it is something that has been done since the 1800s from the time of Jesse Livermore and Richard Wyckoff who were great market speculators in their time.

When the crypto market is dumped, especially bitcoin, all altcoins will also go down, most cryptocurrencies are very dependent on the main coin, namely bitcoin which is very influential on the ups and downs of altcoins, everyone also has altcoins in their portfolio, the events experienced today also fell completely when we hold in the long term will most likely get more profit so we wait for the market to rise again.
Now, along with the fall of the market in all of us, there is the same fall in prices in our cryptocurrency portfolios. The fall in prices is large, but this is not the first time. After each such fall, the cryptocurrency market recovered and grew in price terms even higher. Therefore, if we do not sell our cryptocurrency, then we will not incur further losses.
Little-known altcoins usually lose more in value than high-cap coins, but promising altcoins can also recover faster.

This is the danger of investing in coins with no product behind them. Meme coins were created for speculation only, so you can earn a lot from them during the bull run, but you lose the most when is bear market. Unfortunately, the price of Bitcoin may drop more, so if someone is still holding Doge or Shiba, must prepare for even greater losses.

there is no best way that waiting for the market to rise again is the most anticipated solution because that is all that is expected to change.
you are right that all altcoins are always affected by bitcoin and cannot avoid this fact, it is rare that one is able to move itself up when bitcoin is correcting.
if bitcoin increases there will be something even more increasing it is still possible but not when there is a correction.

when being corrected like this, of course, holding on is the best solution, because hoping that there will be an increase when the time has come, it will not always be a correction. but it does take patience to follow this because it takes time at stake.
