Was introduced to an individual who is purchasing 300 NFT series wallets from Ballet. They had no need for all 300 and I was asked if I knew anyone who would want one. I said I would post here to see if any interest.

The wallets are the same material as the low denomination wallets (plastic)

price will be approx $10ish  - I will put a correct price (I am sure it will be determined based on how many I buy from him) and a payment address when he confirms.

As these are also the NFT series, I am waiting confirmation to see if they will contain a NFT as well.

Price will be $15 and will include a NFT that will be sent to the card and that matches the artwork on the card.

I will not contact anyone outside of this forum to get payment - except for those who are already in contact with me thru other means.

yes that is the approximate price for the wallets unloaded of funds and unloaded of a NFT

there are discussions about loading a NFT that matches the image on the card - that would raise the price just slightly  --- THIS MIGHT HAPPEN

the part about the $1k USD price was more along the lines if the card creator loaded one of their NFT's as that is the value they have placed on their NFT's --- THIS IS NOT HAPPENING

Is there a version forthcoming without NFTs, or is there an option to order with or without NFTs in this group buy?

well these are the NFT specific wallets - these will come with the NFT, no option for without NFT at this time. Originally, there was a chance they would be without NFT as he was till trying to find out how much it would cost and how to do it easily. And at first what NFT to load etc etc.

The decision was to load them with a NFT of the cover image and to set the price at $15.

Does the card contain the NFT in the private key?

How exactly does this work?

essentially the nft is loaded to the public address - and that public address's private key is contained within the card.


If someone knows a better way to explain this - please feel free to contribute.

Love to see Mopar selling NFT items  :D

Sales are closed - I will be getting 150 wallets - all reserved and paid for as per the list at start of thread.

Ballet will begin production soon and then I can provide an ETA on when they will be delivered - thank you everyone!

just to keep everyone in the loop - this project is still a go and will still proceed but there are some issues with ballet and the use of counterparty for the NFT's - it is being resolved but has caused a small delay.

I dont have an exact time or date when this will be done, but I wanted to update everyone just the same. I will post when I have more information.

i thought xcp became one of the most hated projects? Sweet thing anyhow.

I am able to finally share an update.

When ballet transitioned to providing only segwit addresses instead of providing both legacy and segwit addresses - this caused an issue with using freewallet.io and counterparty as freewallet.io has not yet incorporated the update to allow importing of segwit private keys (it is planned for the next update though per jdog).

This had caused quite a delay as the card creator wanted to be certain that everyone had a smooth experience when trying view/verify or transfer their NFT.

The resolution is that Ballet will issue the cards with the legacy address, the NFT will be loaded to the legacy address and this will allow for a smooth experience using/verifying on freewallet.io and xchain.

The cards are now in production and we expect to receive a more precise shipping date by next week.

Sorry, no I don't have any extra - I originally had 150 to sell but I over sold so had to beg for 5 more. There are quite a few here that bought more than a few - my guess is for flipping them so one of them may be posting a few up for sale soon.

Hey all~

Anybody have any knowledge of whether or not Ballet intends to support their NFT wallets beyond funding/sending BTC in app?
I bought a few of these thinking that I could store CounterParty asset collections on them, and while in my experimenting I've been able to transfer BTC, XCP and CP NFTs onto the address, I'm not sure that anything more than BTC is supported in the transfer off of the wallet - at least in app. Have also had no luck importing these particular wallets onto Ballet's desktop version to date.

For example, I can export the address as "view only" into Free Wallet and see that all of my transferred assets are there (incl. the NFT that came with the card), but am obviously unable to sweep the card from the view only address, nor can I see the assets other than BTC in the Ballet app to transfer to another address. Perhaps if I peel the card and enter the PK into the API Keys paste bin in Free Wallet will do the trick (?), but I'm not that familiar yet and don't want to mess this up :-|

Anybody have any ideas or info on if Ballet intends to take this further?

they were supposed to be working with an integration of XCP into the app - but have not been successful as of yet - and that is one of the issues that caused a huge delay in the release - the other issue was that ballet had moved to segwit addresses and the freewallet/xcp uses legacy - that issue was resolved.

But the cards in general are specific to their currency - they are not like the metal ballet wallets which allow all types of currencies - these are similar to the PURE in that sense.


I think the idea is that you can use freewallet/counterparty to view/verify that the NFT's are there but that as long as the PK is secure on the card then the physical item is what holds the virtual item.

And yes - if you put the key into freewallet then it would not be a view only, the NFT would be there then and no longer locked to the card.

Cool. I'll experiment with the PK and then these wallets do exactly what I'd hoped for. Will be great, if and when, Ballet can support XCP integration.

These are the steps I took to unlock the Ballet NFT wallet in Free Wallet to be able to send or sweep the address for BTC, XCP and various xChain NFT’s stored on the address:

1. Go to https://www.balletcrypto.org/#/ (https://www.balletcrypto.org/#/)
2. Scratch card to reveal 20-character passphrase
3. Enter passphrase
4. Peel sticker to reveal BP38 private key
5. Scan or copy/paste PK and decrypt BP38 PK

This reveals the wallet’s Public Key (compressed, 66 characters) and Private Key Hexadecimal Format (64 characters), as well as WIF Compressed Private Key for each address, notably both legacy and segwit BTC addresses. Both addresses share the same PK.
 *Surprisingly, this action also reveals all other supported addresses and PK’s on the wallet, which includes 20 other coins that Ballet supports in their REAL issue wallets.

6. In Free Wallet (desktop version), go to address QR icon and select “changetaddress” from dropdown
7. Under options in pop-up, select “Import Private Key”
8. Enter either Ballet wallet’s master PK HEX -64 or BTC WIF Compressed PK (note: either key activates the legacy address by default)

With more or less of the last three steps, this was also successfully completed in the mobile version of FreeWallet.

Happy to report that the Ballet NFT wallet works for my needs as a form of cold storage of xChain NFT collectibles, and as long as the wallet isn’t damaged (I’d prefer that it wasn’t plastic, maybe future issues as the popularity of xChain NFTs grows will be metal), seems like a viable long-term storage solution for assets.

Nice write up - in theory you could take one of the metal btc cards with their legacy address and do the same thing

Same results with the metal REAL card using the legacy address and the steps above. Theory proved :)

yep - the idea is to be able to have an image of the NFT on the wallet physically as well as within the wallet and for a cheaper price than the metal cards.
