Title: Two milestones achieved [Amazing journey to Legendary]
Post by: SatoPrincess on December 30, 2021, 03:22:11 PM
Season greetings to you all!
I want to express my joy. I have reached 100 merits for a while now but lacked sufficient activity to rank up. Today, December 30, 2021 I become a full member of Bitcointalk forum and hold my place in this online community I now call home.

Here's a snippet of my BitcoinTalk.org journey:
I registered on Sept 15, 2021
On sept 23, I got my first merit (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5361620.msg58011428#msg58011428) which is the highest amount of merits (12) I have received on a single comment.
I got my 100th merit on November 24, 2021 (lack activity didn’t rank up until December 30th as full member).
On January 1st, 2022 I got my 200th merit.
On January 12, I got my 250th merit, but lack activity and didn’t rank to Senior Member.
On January 14, I made my my custom trust list. (https://loyce.club/trust/2022-01-22_Sat_05.11h/3380863.html) Credits to LoyceV for LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5191802.0) and icopress for showing me the importance.
On April 4th, I got my 400th merit.
On May 4th, I became a senior member with 252 activity and 425 merits.
Dec 15, I got to 500 merits thanks to boost from Ratimov
On Dec 30, I hit 490 activity to become hero member

Thank you to all that made it possible. I am extremely thankful for those members that support me, thanks to their guidance, goodwill and support I have been able to continue to contribute to this forum. https://i.ibb.co/y0hvqP6/AFC22145-3290-4-C10-A505-FDFE13-EE0-C64.jpg (https://ibb.co/1ZsyTQr)

Thanks to the forum I have come to know that there is much more to crypto than buying bitcoins and Altcoins. I'm learning more about Blockchain and how to build applications on the Blockchain. I hope to become a Blockchain engineer someday.
My message for Newbies
I think it is less than five months I joined the forum and become productive. I want to encourage you. Nobody is hoarding merits from you neither are you at a disadvantage as a newbie. Do your best and leave the rest. There are other of my peers who started the year as newbies and are full members now. Some have enough merits to be hero member already and they are still contributing everyday to the forum with no paid signature campaigns on their backs. A new rank adds more responsibility to the user and when you are given that responsibility. Do good with it.

I know many established are tired of this tradition but for a new era member like myself Why not celebrate? I'm glad to be among the ranks and hope to grow more in the future. I will be updating this thread on each new rank achieved until I reach Legendary.

If you strongly believe you will be a blockchain engineer then yes, you can. Your target should be stronger and walk on the way. Good to see you are walking above your merits. Means your merit earning speed is more than activity. I was the same at the beginning of my journey although earning merit during that time was tougher. There wasn't much merit source as well. Now I become a merit source and spreading merits. However, newbies would take a lesson from your achievement. Everything is possible by hard-working and contribution. Just keep up your contribution to the forum. Hope once a day you will become a Legendary blockchain engineer.

I remembered when you created a thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5377755.msg58762564#msg58762564) about your 90 days journey in crypto. I even thought you were full member at the time until you mentioned your have not gotten the activity required. You have the merit already, but no enough activity until today. I noticed you want to contribute also on this forum and nice about that as you have tried to an extent.

Congrats. Expect merit from me when having enough merit to send as you deserve it.

I recall your thread about feeding the homeless. A wholesome thread that I read during Christmas, and I wish I am able to donate something at least. Regardless congrats, OP

This was the thread that I was mentioning: A Crypto Christmas; Using Bitcoin to help feed the homeless (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5378524.0)

Thank you. We did the best we could with what we had. Big thanks to forum members who donated to the cause. Its a blessing to be a source of happiness to someone else. Even though you couldn't make a donation to our cause you can help someone in your locale. It could be the homeless guy you walk pass everyday to work. A little helping hand and the world wouldn't need superman.

A lot of people on that thread thought I had become full member. I had to correct that a couple of times. When the congratulations started coming, I double checked my profile and saw I'm still a member  ;D I'm glad to be officially recognized as a full member now. Can I get in one of the gangs? Lol

@SatoPrincess, you have a good interest in this forum and a strong will, I also know some Nigerian/African communities here, they all work hard to achieve their wishes (positive).

For that you can also be like them and also achieve your goals in the Blockchain field and also Legendary rank, as long as there is a desire to learn and the will all can be achieved easily, I also hope that the ideas and knowledge you have about Blockchain and Crypto can bring you as quickly as possible to achieve your dreams, good luck in the future.

Congratulations on your achievement, @SatoPrincess. I believe it was well deserved.

As for your determination to become a Blockchain engineer someday, I would like to share with you what one of my professors in the MBA program said: "Make it happen and make it happen now!"  ;) Making a career in crypto is hard work. But it is possible. A strong willpower is the biggest key to success. So, go for it!

Congrats and looking forward to that goal of yours. Tradition of announcing their appreciation isn't something the established guys should torment. I see some before that if someone sharing their achievement they get alarmed and thinking another merit grabber bait post. Well it's fine as long as the poster is sincere with what he/she posting. Ignore those haters and add them to ignore list. Bullshit users should be muted to avoid stress. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Every achievement in your bitcointalk journey counts and is worth celebrating, reaching the full member rank in this amount of time and having more merits that activity shows you are a positive addition to the forum and I am optimistic that you would have enough merits to get to a legendary rank in no distant time. The required activity might take a while though.

Congratulations on your achievement, a perfect new year present.

You know, you are in the right place to learn and increase your interest in bitcoin or cryptocurrency. I've been in your position and I can really feel how happy you are to get to this rank so quickly. Generally newbies newbie are more interested in making money on forums, it's because they hear people have made. It wasn't wrong, but they couldn't compensate for it in the right way.

1 merit from me has been rounded up to 200 merit now. You only need another 50 merit to qualify as a senior member, but you have to be patient for that. Do something that you think is right, it is good for your development.

glad to see your achievements, I've only been here a few days and still learning about the intricacies of merit.
when I saw your profile, it only took me a few months to reach the Full Member level, I was motivated to become a better person and so that my hard work paid off with the existing merits.
I realize I'm still relatively new here and it's been 2 days I'm here and I still don't really understand how to get rewards (apart from making useful threads for all of you). but i will try as best i can to at least increase my achievement to a higher direction :D

The merit system is not as complicated as you think, just know how it works and you will get it.

The main point that you need to think about right now is how you can achieve quality posts. Of course you will immediately imagine that learning is one of the most supportive, and yes you have to learn to achieve quality posts. Define your interests and try to keep doing it consistently without expecting anything in return. Merit are not difficult if you are a quality poster, but it will be difficult if you constantly think about how you can get them.

Pay attention to the people around you, they are quality posters who managed to get hundreds to thousands of merit. Interesting right? but this is not a competition but this is what and how you determine your own destiny and your activities in this forum.

thank you friend for providing direction and advice for me to achieve merit.
but for now I will only focus on my learning how to be in this forum well and of course provide something useful in the forum and learn to become someone who is really qualified in this forum.

it's really interesting to see people with a lot of merit there but of course there's no need to be jealous of that because it really has to do with quality. when people have a lot of rewards it means that their quality is really good and as for someone like me who incidentally is a newcomer, he must be able to follow in the footsteps of colleagues who are already here and must be able to think with good quality to follow in their footsteps.

True, you have to learn and it will be even better if you are a user who is hungry to learn something that can increase your knowledge about bitcoin beyond basic knowledge of it.

when people have a lot of rewards it means that their quality is really good
No, of course not entirely true although I tend to believe that is mostly true. Not all users who get merit are quality posters because in certain cases you will get them also can get a lot of merit just for honest behavior. See this user, EZ0010 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2900073).

Congratulations. And you are right that a lot of times, these celebratory posts can feel cringe but, what the heck, its the internet and you are free to do what you love. As long as its not just for the love of money or for running scams.

Humans make the best things and then find a way to spoil them too. Internet opened up so many possibilities for the world to come closer, for people to know each other better and that we did. Unfortunately, it also opened up scams and opportunities for evil people. Just keep doing good and wish you strength in the face of greed and temptation.

This thread was to motivate newbies like yourself not to give up. I see complaints from newbies and junior members about how unfair the merit system is. My story should make you see merits are not impossible to get. The merit systems ensures that merit is cycled throughout the forum, merit sources are always there to help. I can see you have enough merits now to reach member rank you only need the required activity. A quick way to improve is to watch legendary members, learn from them. One thing I observed and try to imitate is not to give generic replies to a post. I studied and focused on sharing what I learnt.

So I hope you can achieve more in the days to come, and contribute to this forum as much as you can. I am hopeful that one day you will achieve your targeted Legendary rank. Many many good wishes.

I perfectly understand your joy when you have reached 100 merits. A long time ago, I also experienced this joy (I saw the end of the old merit system era at Member rank and the new era at Full Member) and it prompted me to create a small challenge for myself to see if I could score 250. As it turns out, it takes time  :). I stopped at about 170 and took a long break, but now I'm back at it and hopefully reach Sr. Member rank too.

In fact, when the merit system was introduced, I abandoned the desire to increase my rank, as I considered that it would be difficult for me to do it. As it turned out, this is quite feasible if you make an effort, but idleness definitely does not lead to results. After a while, I found +merit in my account and this encouraged me. So don't skimp on the newbie merits, as your reward may someday make them Legendary.

Congratulations on reaching Full Member as I see from your merits, Sr. Member is just around the corner. It will be interesting to know which of us, me or you, will be the first to receive Sr. Member? :)

I’m glad you didn’t give up on growing your bitcointalk account. The merit system was and is necessary to reduce spam and off topic discussions. You have worked hard and earned 55 merits of your own. That is something to be proud of. I am sure you will get to senior member first. You already so close to 250 merits and can achieve that any moment from now whereas I have a fixed time set to become senior member. I won’t get enough activity till April. I’m not in a rush though

Certainly some wise words, for every member of this forum that hopes and desires to achieve a new rank, be it from a newbie to member, or a member to full member, or a full member to senior member and so on, you have to realise that the higher you go, the better your contributions to the forum are expected to get, so you must improve and expand your knowledge and not just be satisfied that since you have achieved a new rank, it is now some time to rest.

Perhaps not everyone knows yet, but the contest [Voting 2021] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382917.0) has started on the forum. You may wonder why I am writing this here.
The fact is that among the nominations there is “Miss Bitcointalk”. It seems that I was the first to propose SatoPrincess as a candidate. So if you think she deserves it, then you can vote for her too.

Let's help SatoPrincess with her new achievement while she's waiting for the Legedary!  ;)

Thank you for your vote of confidence. It means a lot. I don’t have high hopes for the awards...I’m paired in the category with OGs that have contributed far more than I have. I’m flattered to be nominated, the recognition is gratifying.

Thank you all for the messages and the merits! I’m halfway to hero member! Another 250 merits and we are there. Well done!

Today is the day to congratulate on your rank up. So, catch my congratulations! If not for the activity limit, you would have become Sr.Member even earlier. I'm sure you're tired of waiting for this moment. Now you can exhale with relief, for this step on the way to your Legendary rank has been reached. Be patient in order to accumulate the required amount of activity for Hero Member rank (you have already almost earned merit for this) and continue to contribute to this forum community.

I will wait for your post here Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5391471.0) to congratulate again.  ;)

Thank you. I’m excited about it, I check my profile every now and then to see my new rank. It’s amusing, I know. The excitement will probably fade with time. The true gratification comes from the knowledge that you are helping others. Merits to me is like an acknowledgment from your peers that you’re doing something reasonable. Congratulations. Keep up the good work  ;)

Exactly 1 year ago, @SatoPrincess was full member, and now - hero member.

Season greetings to you all!

You have succeeded in doing so, you have received joy from all sides. Promotion to Hero Members is something that is really fun, helping other users with sMerit is an inner satisfaction that cannot be expressed in words.
Your journey in the forum has opened the eyes of newbies who still think it is difficult to rank up, you have succeeded in proving that the merit system does not prevent anyone from moving up in rank. Knowledge needs to be increased to help yourself rank higher, now you have it. There is only one more rank friends, no need to rush to get there, before the 2023 calendar changes, you will surely reach it.

Thank you for the encouragement my man. I forgot about this thread, It’s exactly a year since my last celebration here, I haven’t been as active as before for personal reasons but I will do better in 2023. Hopefully I can celebrate a new rank by this time next year.
I want to say a big congratulations to you SatoPrincess on your milestone achievement and I wish you more success in the new year. You're a true definition of selflessness, dedication and hardwork. Seeing posts like this inspires me and tells me that I can do it. Enjoy your new rank princess.
Thank you for the kind words. You can definitely do it. I see you’re already close to Senior member rank. You’d get there in no time. Keep up the good work. Happy new year

Thank you. I’m not in a rush, 495 merits more and I will get there. A year of consistency should get me there. I hope this post encourages newcomers who are dread the merit system and believe it is impossible to reach the highest rank without breaking the rules.

SatoPrincess this your thread is one of the threads that motivated me in the forum when I was a member. You have also contributed to the development of the forum by your charity work and your quality threads. That is why we told newbie to read more on reading instead not posting shits. Though I was one but no longer. I also discovered that the last few weeks you have been upgraded to hero member and also join others to celebrate your Hero Member Rank. More elbows 💪 to you. Congrats.
Happy new year.

Mate accept my congratulations on attaining a new rank, you're indeed a Hero and it looks better on your profile because you have proof it's deserving for you, there are lot of times through the thick and thin moments one could have passed through along the process but you have shown the vigor in you in overcoming every challenging obstacles on your way that could stand a barrier, going by your profile, I've seen so many efforts you have contributed till you attained this rank and yet you are still committed in giving out the more to the entire community, it's something we also learn from you to encourage us push further till we also attain the hero rank and beyond, Congratulations.

I have a culture of celebrating every win no matter how little it might seem and this your win is a major one and with this your post, I had to take my time to calculate that if I'm doing the right thing and earning merits on my post then I should be okay the hero rank by the end of this year.
I wish you can see the joy on my face just from the thoughts of a success not yet but foreseen.
Congratulations senior and I hope you so you best in the capacity you are given and always try to render an assisting hand to people below you.
Thanks

Of course, 495 is a big number and it's difficult to get there, but for those who already understand how it's not as difficult as one might imagine. It's about time, no need to rush. The 2023 period has just started, I think you can celebrate together with fireworks next year. Personally I am also obsessed with immediately being in a new ranking after seeing this topic, consistent, hard work and dare to integrate with the top members will make anyone achieve success.
