Title: Looking to hire a coach/mentor.
Post by: RiskyBTC on December 31, 2021, 08:59:35 PM
I'm new to the space and starting to hit some educational walls. I'd like to have access to someone I can do 1-2 one hour sessions per month to answer my questions and hold my hand through some things.

I'd like to:

-go over the whitepaper

-learn and be shown how to interact with the network by setting up my own LN node

-deepen my understanding of how the BTC protocol works

-discuss the necessary pre-requisites to run even the smallest business from a BTC technical viewpoint

-many other things.

My name is Josh, nice to meet you. If this is a weird request for this forum, apologies. I learn substantially better in a 1v1 environment and I have always paid for coaching in many areas of my life where I want to improve. I play poker professionally and have been paying for poker coaches for the last 10 years and over the last 3 years I've had students of my own. I have also paid for chess lessons, Mental game coaching, finance lessons, and even super smash brothers lessons.

feel free to email or respond here! Thanks for your time.

Are you busy that you can only spare 2 hours in a month to learn crypto currencies ?

My question to you is why do you need only 1 or 2 hour sessions monthly? The things which you have listed can be taught in a week at most. Even if you are a slow learner, it will hardly take a month to understand.

All these questions, and many other things, can be easily learned from the pages of this forum. Even if you do not prefer reading and searching for answers on your own, the forum is a great place to get answers from experts and receive feedback from others who may be facing similar problems. With the support and information given on the forum, you will be in a much better position to break down those walls and fill in the knowledge gaps. There are many others on the forum who have been or are in a similar situation and who can provide much-needed support.

Try it out, find your place and see how it works for you.

There are people who can afford and only wants a 1 on 1 coaching so every question that pops up in their mind in the subject they are studying can be addressed by a coach and he does not have to do research, maybe the guy is very busy and he wants a coach to satisfy his needs but you are right everything can but if you really want knowledge about Cryptocurrency, NFT and Defi, check out this free e-book I've shared to the community it cost $14 each e-book but can be yours free for just log-in daily and claiming candies which you can trade to these E-books..

How to Defi and How to NFT e-book yours for free (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5383503.msg59107453#msg59107453)

and hold my hand through some things.

Be very careful. While coaching may be OK in many fields, it can easily turn south when it's about money - and even more, money that can irreversibly sent away.
What I want to tell is that you have quite a high chance that instead a proper coach you end up with a scammer.

That's why it's recommended to ask the questions publicly, wait for multiple answers and see which ones are actually helpful.
