Coming up with simple but engaging questions is not an easy task, so there are a lot of people who contributed to this quiz and I would like to express my gratitude to them. Thank you! What are the questions about?

It's good that you asked! The topics are very different... even if you are a beginner, you will be interested in learning something new about Bitcoin, about the legendary personalities of the forum, as well as several other little-known facts! Be careful when answering the questions because some of them are tricky, and some of them do not have the correct answer! In any case, I would really like to be in your place and take this quiz without knowing the answers!🐙

Okay! I know my score will be published here, and I honestly feel crap about it!  :(

But, in any case, I saw that @LoyceV  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=459836)had surpassed the 10,000 Merits mark, which is, I believe, incorrect in the quiz.
Edit: I see. Merit airdrop isn't counted. Still, seeing 10k merits is still a big achievement though.

We are talking about real merit received, (look in the description).  ;)

This was fun.

Wtsimis, SatoPrincess ... I always knew that each new generation of members of the forum is becoming smarter than the previous one, and it is interesting for me to visually observe how this trend develops. Since you guys have exceeded my wildest expectations considering that you registered less than half a year ago and your results prevail over the results of those who have been on the forum for a very long time.  ;)

I spend time in meta. I’m not going to spill the beans but if someone cares about bitcointalk, its history should also be of interest to them. I took a gamble, some were wild guesses but many were familiar to me. I wrote down the ones I failed. I like that detailed explanation of the answers pop up after and are accompanied by bitcointalk threads where necessary. Thanks icopress for the quiz.

Any platform that offers a timer, would probably be better... Based on the ones I could find on this forum, "OnlineQuizCreator (https://www.onlinequizcreator.com/)" is the only one that offered a "timer (https://www.onlineexambuilder.com/features/online-test-maker-with-timer/item10236)" but it isn't free ^{[it offers a "free trial for 7 days (https://www.onlinequizcreator.com/pricing/item7640)"]}.

If it makes you feel any better, I only answered 11 of them correctly :D

Exactly when i see how many new members we have on forum today who are growing at so much fast pace i feel happy about the same.Like you said he has registered over a year only and knows lot about forum and there are many others also whose merit speed is at recognisable and appreciable.They have spend some quality time on forum and we can see it from their posts also.Feels good that forum newbies are capable of growing it.

I want to be very honest to myself. I don't want to try the quiz now. Let me research again for one week then I will come and try the quiz.

I passed the quiz and I have to admit that I did have some mistakes, but some questions are a bit bias, like for examples about sexiest forum gang?
I know it's all chicks and girls in this club, but I beg to differ there are other sexier gangs in forum, and I won't name them here :)

The answer is suitable in my humble opinion. Without taking anything from the quiz, the gang is one of the most popular with established members wearing its avatar. I understand the answers may be disappointing to other gang members. We know where our allegiances lie. Just kidding  ;D the quiz is fun.  Sorry icopress for going off topic

What a great way to encourage noobs to learn a little bit about Bitcoin's history. To my surprise, I almost got a perfect score. No kidding!  :D

As for your opinion ... I'll probably agree on the bias, since each of us has our own views on sexuality. But I had no choice, because I cherish the dreams of getting an invitation to at least one orgy ... I'm tired of peeping through the keyhole. So I had no choice but to try to lick the ass of the supreme leader.  :P

But there are also advantages, right? You are at the top of the list and you have more correct answers than SFR10.   :D

More results will be coming, some images are too big and covers the whole page. How about if OP add a rule that image height should be made 200 or less and the screenshot should be cropped or snipped to show just the score and not the whole stuff on the page.

So ... I think a little statistics will not hurt  :P

This was a great quiz. There were many obscure things that I had no idea, and also many things that I knew 100%.

It was a great quiz I confess. But there are some questions that were designed in such a way that you must fail. Example is the question about Theymos, Sirius  and cobra. If you are not careful you will fail. Another one is question about LoyceV and 10,000 merits. I can say that the question is not too correct. I don't want to go far in order not to expose the answers. The question about Grin aswell. Anyways, I am happy I was able not to guess Hhampuz's father as the first campaign manager ;D ;D

I did answered it and got only like 7 correct ones but I answered it without blinking and flashy speed to finish it. Looks like I need to review more abou history here. But I like thr details flashing after answering now I know some of those and that is cool to know. Thanks OP. Very nice activity.

From what I've seen, the question is correct. Hopefully it will no longer be correct when summer starts.

The question will be correct only when you fail it, the system will now tell you the correct answer by saying that merit Airdrop is not inclusive.
But in the main question, there is no indication of it.
"Which of these users exceeds 10,000merits" by this, whether it was through Airdrop or not, LoyceV has them.

This was an interesting quiz that I couldn't resist being part of  and to be honest, the quiz was a bit challenging such that I had to guess when it came to certain questions & for some it's all about being a regular of the forum and crypto world 8)

After 30 minutes of searching from various sources, I finally finished the quiz.
This quiz is not just a question, but has a lot of history so I know what history has happened to bitcointalk and bitcoin.

Actually, I'm quite embarrassed with the answers I have, but this is my ability for now and there's nothing wrong with that. Moreover, this is quite fun entertainment because there is some pretty interesting information to get in it.

I also try hard to make a push, the questions got me thinking twice before choosing an answer, so fun to say.

This quiz was indeed insightful, and at least I got to learn a whole lot from it, especially knowing that the current status of "Satoshi's" account is banned, and also getting to know that Russia was the first country to have a local board on this forum, crypto.games the current longest signature campaign on the forum, and likewise, many others.

That's just an amazing amount of new fun informations i got from the quiz i didn't join the forum early and i regret because it's truly a lot of fun and new informations everyday.
For example the question about the hack that i somehow i answered right randomly, i never thought such thing happened with bitcoin

Interesting Quiz :D

I took tis quiz yesterday and it was really fun. It made me realized I don't know shit about the platform which is bad but i hope to remedy that. It was fun though.

I think this is good for me even though the percentage is only 33.5 percent of my correct answers.

I bumped into this thread again. I think it was last month or earlier when I first saw this thread. I answered the questions and I only scored 8 or 9 but I tried it again right away with only 1 mistake or perfect. It's fun but confusing, and difficult. I don't think someone for the first time can score 15 in 10 minutes unless the guy is an old timer or very active in tracking stats and historical facts in bitcointalk. Guys like LoyceV, etc. can probably score high.

So after a month or two, I answered it again. Thought I remembered all of them.

I was planning on making a quiz using the same platform that is used in this quiz but I haven't got much free time to start creating the quiz but I see that it is not that much needed since there's a quiz like this created months ago. I retake the test and only got 19, it seems I am a little bit rusty if I say about it and there are some questions which the answer is not there but there is an answer which is close to the correct one. I don't know if it's because the quiz is few months old or it was during the time it was created.

I was eager to begin answering the questions at first. It turns out that I can only answer 11 of the 21 questions asked. Thanks to the people who created the questions. I learn more about Bitcoin and particularly the story of Bitcointalk, which is very interesting.

Am new to the whole ecosystem maybe that will explain my poor test results. But i noticed a few things about the quiz questions like its showing 23 questions below but it only 21 questions to answer and again i pick all four answered and it didn't show if am wrong in all options  with one more observation about the questions it started from number 2 instead of one.

But every quiz is the same as before, some quiz answers are still unknown.  Selecting the correct answer does not change the quiz i.e. answering a few quizzes correctly does not add to the score.

At the beginning of this year I added insight from this quiz, it turns out that there is still a lot I don't know about the history of bitcoin. The explanation after doing the answers at the bottom means a lot to me.
Previously I would like to thank icopress and the others for sharing their knowledge on this quiz, which maybe most people will not deliberately find out or pay attention to what is in the quiz.

Out of 21 questions I was only able to answer 13 out of the total, even though the scores looked bad but I was very happy increased my knowledge about Bitcoin and this forum.

In my opinion, this is a very good job, because I can see for some days, most of the participants are newbies, among them 1-10 activities are the most. They posted here only for merit, most of those who got merit are now inactive.

I'm not sure I'm following... What is Decentralized Digit? And when did this entity announce Bitcoin and where? And, anyway, what's to connection between this statement and this topic? My finger is itching me to press the "Report to moderator" button"...

I am not sure why this happens. If you'll scroll at pages 7-8 of this topic, you'll see that others had same problem in December. I believe that the quiz has a fixed number of times it can be accessed during a month. If it is so, then perhaps we reached the upper limit in January too, which is amazing, as it happened two months in a row! Perhaps icopress can share some more light on this matter.

I also observed that. However, it is good if they learned something while reading the questions of the quiz. Regarding the fact that they are inactive that should not be a problem -- I mean it's not a problem that they earned a merit then they became inactive. It's their choice. For me it matters the fact that some of users, at least, if not most of them, learned new information about Bitcoin and about the forum from this quiz.

Only 200 people can take the quiz per month. The counter will be reset on January 25th.

The quiz was blocked twice, as twice we reached its upper limit during the third edition of BitcoinTalk Community Awards! I am glad to see that so many users tried the quiz in this interval and, more important, they also learned a lot while going through the 21 questions.

Excepting that, icopress and I also offered some merits to those which performed the quiz and, for many of them, those were their first earned merits. Thus, together with the required activity, they were promoted to Jr Members. Congrats to all! Some of them also offered some valuable input regarding the quiz (bugs, glitches, answers which needed to be updated etc.) and, in their case, our generosity was bigger. Together with these users the quiz was updated and it reflected accurate information.

I've seen many similar quizes in the past years but, I have to say, none of them ever got the traction this quiz faced. This is really incredible. Most likely, this also happened as there is no other active quiz, as far as I know. Still, participation rate was (and still is) at a very high rate.

I tried to check the quiz but I can't still open it. It still show like this.

Whoa! So many participants at the quiz today! I just gathered the last posts of those of you which are limited by your ranks to post pictures, in order to help you have your scores displayed in full pictures.


As a side note, for some reason, the images uploaded on Ibb could not be shown in full picture. I don't know why that happened, as I did not encounter this issue before. 8 Newbie accounts that have name ending with "@" (its not easy to come up with a more unique account names when you create them in bulk) did the quiz in the matter of ~3 hours. What are the chances for that to happen and not to have the same owner? :D I guess he liked the merit they received yesterday so they woke up another group of alt accounts.

I agree with you. I am a newbie though. I checked their eight accounts and found that five of them were registered in the month of October 2022. And three accounts were registered in June 2022. These accounts are cross-registered. Even if the accounts are not owned by a single owner. Maybe their family members.

I didn't notice this when I first took this quiz before, but today, when I took the quiz for the second time, it caught my eye.  When I go to answer other questions of the quiz when I click on any of the four options if the option is correct there is a green signal but if I click on the wrong option then there is a red signal but when I click on this question there is no signal.  (green and red). I am very interested to know what the secret behind this could be. 

When I first participated in this quiz, I noticed that the answers to these questions never appear to be wrong, so I searched Google for the correct answer to this question. Then I saw that Bitcoin's white paper was translated into 40 languages. And 40 is nowhere among the four options of this question. So maybe its answer doesn't show Green or Red.

Here, the problem is that the correct answer have not been added updated in the quiz. You sensed that well, that the correct answer is not added, yet you did not find the correct answer :) I will PM you for explaining this, in order to not give spoilers to others.

When answering other questions, if the answer is correct or if the answer is colored, it is explained through various indicators, but no matter what option I click on this question, there is no indication here. And I don't even understand what the real answer is here. But I think forty languages ​​are officially translated in the Bitcoin white paper.  Hope @GazetaBitcoin will explain everything about this.

Your disappointment is baseless, those who answered all the questions correctly are not necessarily what you think. Maybe they have previously studied the history of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk before registering here, even though the account is still a newbie it is not certain that the person managing the account does not have the slightest knowledge about Bitcoin.

I understand your frustration and all I can say is that it's totally justified, if this really happened. Sadly, nor icopress nor I can limit someone's tries. I expected though for people to complete the quiz for fun, not necessarily for obtaining highest score possible. It is what it is though. Maybe some cheated; maybe some were experienced before joining the forum, as Razmirraz suggested (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5381367.msg61739001#msg61739001). We may never know for sure unless we actually follow those users' future posts and see how they behave.

Let's be realistic here, we all know how things work on bitcointalk. As soon as someone want to encourage people to do the quiz and share few merits, alt farmers will show up to try and scoop a couple of merits and they probably thought that they will get more merit if they show max result. No one in their right mind would study history of a forum they were never part of so of course brand new account that scored 21/12 cheated.


You are disappointed because you are (probably) new to this forum. If something can be abused around here, it will be. This is just how things work around here and I would be surprised if people didn't cheat on the quiz or if they didn't try to fish some merit. So, business as usual at bitcointalk.  :D

You have stopped giving merit to those who have little activity. It is a good decision as almost all the merit could be wasted as maximum people come to abuse that merit. Because I doubt that these people just came to the site and came to know about the quiz. I think those who has only few posts might have an alt account.

Come on, some of those questions were impossible to know. I doubt anyone would hit 15 or higher without cheating. Not even the forum veterans.

It's possible for veterans to get more than 15 but getting all seems impossible though is just that only few members of this forum care more about the history of this forum. As a plus, you can also look at his posting history and see if he is a shitposter or a normal forum contributor. So today I tried these quizzes again but this time I didn't get 100% correct answer. I got one of the questions wrong while playing the second time quiz. I knew Laszlo Hanyecz spent 10000 bitcoins for 2 pizzas, but this quiz mentions 50000 bitcoins. However, I came to know the correct information about this.

Im happy to be a part of Bitcointalk forum and happy @icopress (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1137579) to be a part of bitcoin quiz. This quiz help ne to know how much knowledge I have about Bitcointalk as a Bitcointalk user. In here I know many answer but some questions are new to me and I learn it from here thanks for the quiz.

@icopress, you have finally updated the quiz, though some were are while some were rephrase and others still the same but I'm not pleased with my score guess I will be going back to knowing more about the forum.

I think this is perfect for a newbie who spends his time trying to learn the ways of this forum

Even though I saw these questions a few months ago, I guess I got better points than what I have got today. I think I answered ten correctly, but I didn't take screenshots. I think I got better points back then because maybe I cheated. This time, I did not reset it or search for the answer. So, this is the honest result  :D

@icopress, I believe it's time to add new questions and answers. What do you think about it? Or maybe you can create another list of questions and answers and link it in the OP besides the current one.

Oh good to see this thread popping up again and members taking effective part in it but as a suggestion I would say to have some image size rule to post in this thread that will fit the whole area and all images are embedded properly otherwise it looks weird.

I am also going to take part in it now and test my knowledge skills although others have done really well :D

Not sure if this is any newer version of what I did months ago, if so, the past experience certainly didn't help me at all.

I can't imagine how can anyone score above 10 without either massive luck or cheating. It was fun though, some interesting facts there.

Hmm, I was wondering if I could handle such questions at first but while reading I found most of them easily to answer but my scores are poor because I don't really know much about some historical fiction concerning Bitcoin. However I think this is another thread that will help to build our knowledge for Bitcoin. I will try to visit the quiz once a while so I can answer more till I get whe while answers correctly.

Wow I must commend you that you did well I know it might be more easier if you have been very conversant with your studies... Nevertheless you did I will want to try mine so as to evaluate myself with my studies because I have been making much research so far...

Of course we need to very virgor with the vacuum of knowledge on historical fiction concerning bitcoin also about campaign I can't wait to try out myself on the quiz thabks.

It was actually a nice and brilliant as a correct newbies I think I should appluad my self because I did it without cheating or knowing much about bitcoin but practice make perfection....

I believe in my next quiz am going to do great because definitely I will put more effort to acquire more knowledge about the bitcoin..

Though the questions were so mysterious but I managed to get a little mark from if wow.
The question tough die thank you for the quiz I only know about two or three there when I saw the questions I said to my self guy you are still a newbie but the fact that I don't want to be left out I tried my luck that gave this mark. And I didn't just let the questions go I made sure I bring biro and book to write the questions and answers I got so in my leisure time I can search the full stories about this questions. I really love the quiz thanks for this.

But if this questions where essay for you to crack and brain and put the answers yourself I think many people and me that got above 10marks won't make it this far.

This is my first time taking a quiz, there were several questions I answered wrong. This made me gain new knowledge from this quiz.
