Title: 2022: Bullish or bearish for crypto?
Post by: Abiky on January 18, 2022, 12:17:46 PM
Ever since the start of January 2022, crypto has been on a bearish trend. There hasn't been any major movement in crypto prices, as the excitement has faded away. It seems to me that the year will be a bearish one (although crypto is widely unpredictable). All eyes are on Bitcoin, as it's the main mover of the market. If Bitcoin goes up, so will Ethereum and other altcoins. Regardless of the price, development is still on-going.

What do you think? Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto? Why do you think it'll be that way? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

Oil and some other consumer goods look bullish because of the inflation and everything else looks bearish right now, crypto included. Things may change quickly depending on the FED's actions. Some people say they lost the control and it doesn't matter what the FED will do from now on. A solid crash (50%+) may happen in the markets in 2022. We'll wait and see.

My guess would be bearish.

I am expecting another 2018 for cryptos in 2022. I hope i would be wrong but it really look like 2018, every conditions are almost the same.

Bearish for some projects, bullish for some. If i had to guess i would say that total combined marketcap of altcoins will drop for year or 2. Few of the altcoins will thrive and some will go down -99%. Projects that are building will do well, and projects that are for money grab will die. Hopefully. At least until next cycle starts.

What do you think?
This year may be bearish for crypto as bitcoin is going down from the top to the bottom. I hope that this will become the bottom for bitcoin and it will not go even deeper than the current rate. That may become another disaster if bitcoin can break 40k again and go to the lower than it. Altcoins will be facing another big dump again coz people liquidated their assets to be stored into the stable coin.

Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto? Why do you think it'll be that way? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)
The answer is still remain unknown as bitcoin can go for the bearish or bullish this year. sometime people are calling the bearish trend but it can change to the bullish trend anytime. Im seeing the bitcoin chart right now and it's almost coming to the accumulation wave. Im expecting a small recovery for bitcoin after this.

Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto?
I think there is a possibility of another bullish. As we know that not only common people who invested in Bitcoin now, a country like El Salvador and many popular people in the world start to invest in Bitcoin lately. This can lead to a longer time of bullish trend, so it possibly the bullrun continues in 2022. But it should happen if there is many good news about crypto this year. If too many bad news happens, the bearish season may come immediately.

The difference today as compared to previous years is the number of entities and stakeholders that are already into crypto.
Before, a lot are treating this as possible scam market but when countries like El Salvador supports the crypto system, I believe, a lot of people change their perspectives.
Some US states are also supporting the crypto market by promoting their city as crypto hub like in New York.
Slowly, people are changing their stand towards crypto, as they also educate themselves about its true nature and influence in the market.

Despite that, the market is still unsure where it could be this year. If there is just no health crisis and supply chain issues affecting the lives people might just keep investing. Unfortunately, it's not what is going on today.

The market will still struggle to climb for another ATH. There is just the need for the market to really dip lower for it to rise up. It could just be sideways for the next few months until it shows the bottom before the bullish market again.

This year going to be bullish trend. I do believe if bitcoin is still in preparation to go to the moon again. Another upper bottom = bullish. It can also mean if bitcoin can go even higher than 70k as its ATH. As per some expert traders if they are believe if 100k must become the next target for bitcoin. This may become the best thing to be watch and I'm still accumulating more tokens. Bitcoin didn't wanna go down to the below 40k. That means the chance for the retracement will always there. So many people are calling for the 4 year cycle to happen but I personally didn't believe about that. So many major companies are buying bitcoin even el Salvador was adding more and more bitcoin when the price was going down. I thought that so many party will know the real value of bitcoin to be store of value.

Hopefully, this year will still be bullish as many good sentiments from the companies and bitcoin still support many people.
But I can not deny that maybe the bearish will come for a while before the bullish because we already see that the price can go wild without predicting.
But as long as the price does not drop below $30k, we are still in the bullish trend and it could still stay at $40k-$50k.
If the price can stay at $40k-$50k, it will be good for us to try to profit from the price gap since many fluctuations will happen with bitcoin.

Indeed crypto has really experienced tremendous development in recent years,
we can see that currently there are many famous and richest people starting to wrestle the crypto world,
so hope that 2022 will be a bullish trend and we'll see how it develops later

This year gonna be epic, bitcoin does nothing but market is still going down. The market is unpredictable. So many whales are sending their bitcoin to the exchange site but it doesn't mean they are selling their bitcoin. So many things become unpredictable right now. Im sure that as long as bitcoin can't be dumped below 40k and it's a bullish signal. Last year 40k can be considered at the top for bitcoin but this time 40k has become another new bottom for bitcoin and you may know the different by seeing how bitcoin is getting a new floor. Im still very bullish with the market despite the fact so many fear is still around us.

What do you think?
Im so bearish with the current trend that happens with the market. It seems like that another bearish trend will be coming again.

Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto?
None knows about this but as per my predictiion if this totally depend with bitcoin. If bitcoin break 39k again and this may become another crazy year for crypto when so many coins get dumped so hard and the recovery will take a very long time to go.

Why do you think it'll be that way?
As long as bitcoin is still stay above 40k and we are fine. If we break 39k support and we may end. Bitcoin is the key in this market.
Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)
Nasdaq is still making another low and im thinking if bitcoin may face another dump again for sure.

I think on the contrary this year won't be a year for bear. The bear is already what we are from last year to this time and won't go beyond the first quarter of this year. The bitcoin community is bigger now compared to the past and with that alone it shows the growth level which is significant to rise more investment because the bear started last year and carried over to this year, the bull therefore is preparing again having been corrected from the last ATH.

Both for me in my personal opinion because that's what it is mate wherein after the bearish there will be a bullish always since that's the cycle of the market. It's like rain or shine to be honest and probably market will not improve more if every year it has one season only and for sure the adoption will not increase more like what always happen.. So always expect both because that's how it really works..

It's like a little bit of bullish and a little bit of bearish if you'd ask me since I'm sure Bitcoin price will surge up in no time within this year and after the surge of course, bear market and the price correction will follow. Therefore, we may in a bullish that soon will end up bearish but who knows? It might do the same thing again like pumping a little until it reach a certain price then a little bit of decline to buy the dip.

They said February will be the month of the bull again but that might not be true or I don't know, maybe it depends on the FA results.

First, I think it's too early to say what the year will be for crypto, but on a lighter note, I did like to say that I am very positive on what the state of crypto will be this year, though the market might have started and still is struggling to make a significant upward move since the year 2022 began, I still believe that bitcoin will record a new all time high before this year ends.

Quote

Why do you think it'll be that way?
Crypto is slowly and steadily gaining approval from many people and even governments are beginning to recognize the power of this technology, musicians worldwide are all gradually coming into the space, some of them even working on launching their own coins and NFTs.
So no doubt, we are gaining much more adoption as each day passes, it's only a matter of time before this begin to reflect in the price of bitcoin and some other major altcoins.

I know it's been bearish for weeks now but it will not be as bad as 2018 because compared to 2018 there is huge money inflow which has already taken place now, we will witness such correction phases but I don't think it will be a complete collapse like 2018. Everything depends on how bitcoin fares and bitcoin has looped in so many institutional investments this time so they won't let 2018 to repeat. We will notice some movements in the price sooner as it cannot remain stable as bitcoin has been som sort of stabilized around $40k.

Bitcoin already attract huge market investors, those who came from institutional trading practices who bought their assets from the peak will not allow such collapse to happen, hopefully though that they are not the one who's moving or manipulating this market to buy more cheap coins and store it to have a good assurance that they'll be getting higher paycheck once the market start to be bullish again.

This correction needed to be assessed and not to rush things out. It will only lead you to losing your money if you failed to adjust and

make the right thing to do.. ;) 8)

I think we are still in a bullish momentum,Bitcoin is only having a short correction and it is stable around 40k$ to 43k$ only one good news and the price of Bitcoin is going to sky rocket again. Patience is important this time of price trouble we need to hold and be more patience.

We are still in the sideways pattern, but it seems from the sentiments of the investors, we might be in for a long bear market.

Just look at the previous history in 2017 bull run and 2018, it seems that the pattern are the same, although you can agree that Bitcoin's narrative has change a lot since 2017. But then again, we can't argue that we are in a cycle hear, bullish->bearish. So after last year's all time high, it's time that the bears might take over the market right now.

The people who had invested from 2021, had to wait with their assests.Because if they sell at bearish market, it will be the loss for their investment. Since it's normal trade, they can hold for the longer period. The bull will occur after the bear run.Holding at the bear was the fundamental law for the trading.Buy at low and Sell at high was the basic strategy gained by the traders using their experience. It always work, irrespective of all the price variation of bitcoin price.

for now I see no trend. sideways market and there is no sign that the market will move. I think new trends can be predicted when there is news. and currently there is no news to make the market move. but despite all that, my prediction is still the same which is most likely this year will be a bear year.

The beginning of January looks bearish, market has been sideways, probably will remain this way till the end of this month, but i read somewhere that "btc hash rate is at ATH at the moment which means the mining difficulty will be at ATH too" which also indicate a possible bull run, the exact time is not stated but it means the market will not remain bearish for long, there will be a turn around, people just need to be patient.

Agree, it really looks like very bearish at this point. As for the hash rate, the only thing that I read is that it is dropping because of the Kazakhs issue on mining that's why it drop resulting into the price going down as well.

Not sure if it has go back to the normal now or if the electricity problem has been solved in Kazakh because it cornered around 20% of bitcoin mining. So the market looks very negative right now that's why there is no price movement since the start of the year.

I thought there is a Voting that indicated above lol because i am going to vote for Bearish 2022  ;D

- 1st because the recent year(2021) has already delivered so much increase so i think that is enough for a while and wait for another increase in future.

- 2nd the Halving of Bitcoin happens every 4 years meaning from then the market will be remain slow moving again.

these 2 scenario is what i think the reason why there might be a bearish to come .

Inflation will be the main topic of discussion in 2022. Also, the biggest problem due to supply chain management problems can be the wrong monetary policy move which can affect the crypto market as well.  Bank of America says 2022 is going to be bearish, which is the result of "rates shock" in 2020 and "inflation shock" in 2021.  In this context, people can give more importance to the accumulation of capital in 2022, which will prevent new cash money from entering the market. Many experts say the last hope they see is the current billionaire youth whose investment can save the market from collapse.  The world market will also remain unstable in 2022 due to the Russia-Ukraine problem.  Bitcoin may go below 40K or 20k but I don't see any problem. Because Bitcoin must cross 100k, it may not happen this year or in the next two years, but it will happen after the next halving for sure.

I would be realistic, I believe that 2022 is a bullish year. My basis? I based this on the past bull run, after that time, the market has been bearish for years and I think we will see the same thing again. I may not take long but I would rather expect a bear market than expect a bull run that may not come anytime soon, it's very important for decision making.

It's just 18 days since 2022 has started.

We're not yet even 1/4 of the entire year and for sure there are a lot of things that can happen good for the market. The excitement is gone because it's no longer moving up the way we want it.

But that's fine, the winners are the patient folks in the market and if you're thinking of it as a bearish then it's time for everyone to get ready to buy some more.

Couldn't agree more with you, mate. Patience is rewarding in the long run. I see no hurry on crypto's prices to soar, since it was never been about the money. Everything is just pure speculation these days, so if there's hype, prices will soar like there's no tomorrow. Otherwise, not. I think the excitement is gone, due to negative events in the mainstream world. Things like the Omicron COVID variant and the US' FED adjusting rates for the US Dollar, made the market bearish since the start of the year. 2022 is merely beginning, so I'd say we should wait a little more time to see what happens. Just keep buying and "hodling" coins in order to see great results within the not-so-distant future. Just my opinion :)

2022 is still in its early stages, and we don't know for sure what will happen in the future, whether it will be bull or bearish???, but whatever will happen will all have a good impact on who can take advantage of the situation, I personally am very optimistic that the market will improve this year, therefore we are strongly demanded to always be patient because patience can give very good results in the future.

"It was never about the money" is the most important sentence in the crypto world that many people will not realize. I did not get into crypto because I wanted to make money, I got into crypto because it was a better version of fiat, and it was more fair, and it allowed me to make money. Is it still better than fiat? Yes it is, is it still a technological improvement? Yes it is, is it still fair for everyone equally compared to fiat? Yes it is.

Every single thing that caused me to get into crypto is still the same and as long as people like me are around we are going to have higher and higher prices in the long run. Unfortunately some people miss that point of bitcoin and they just buy bitcoin to hold it and sell it whenever they make some profit, that will never be enough for people and they will end up losing a lot of money because all they care about was money.

I think we are still in a bullish momentum,
What? for real? don't you even see how bitcoin gets another 10% dump again in a short time? is that what you have been calling it as bullish momentum? Ah you may not update with the current condition of crypto market. We have enterded bearish trend since last year. Have you ever spent a few minutes in your life just to take a look at what happened before? if you have not and you must go to the cmc as soon as possible.
Bitcoin is only having a short correction and it is stable around 40k$ to 43k$ only one good news and the price of Bitcoin is going to sky rocket again. Patience is important this time of price trouble we need to hold and be more patience.
The dump already happened since last months and is that what you have called that as a short term correction? This totally a non sense thing for sure. It's almost touching 38k right now. The fundamental is giving a very big impact to the price of bitcoin right now. We are in the bearish mode and the bull trend may not come soon. The worst scenario if we must wait a year or even more for bitcoin to recover.

I think the market will be bearish at the start of the year, and may become bullish at the last quarter of the year since we all witness most of the time bullish season appears at the last quarter. But this is not definitely sure since we don't hold the future what will be crypto market will look like this year. Just a speculation though. But one thing is certain, if the bearish season will be over, maybe this year or early next year, then we will be seeing the bright side of the market which is a good time to sell and enjoy the profits.

A lot of speculation was born at the end of last year but all of it went very far because of the influence of several big countries trying to hinder the development of cryptocurrencies this year so waiting for good things in cryptocurrencies is really necessary but everyone needs to understand some new things in order to get better ready to face the market.

In my opinion, I believe 2022 will be a bullish year for bitcoin and other altcoins. Although at the moment we are experiencing a bearish season even this has been happening over the months still we have bulls to come to action; from my experience that after each bearish season, there comes a bullish waves and even in all times bitcoin hits ATH as well. It is going to be a bullish year, stay focused. Just buying at the current dips will help to have more bitcoins for cheaper prices in average for all your bitcoin holding. Hence, not missing out the current dips is highly recommended.

I still believe in bullish. We are in the early days of the year right now and yes we are seeing a bearish run all the time and the market has not been good for a while now. However, people should realize that this is the early days and almost all the time whenever a crash happens, a great return happens after that.

So, I am guessing that we are doing something decent right now, maybe it will be something soon or maybe it will be something later but it will have a good return in the long run, I am sure of that. The year is too early for now, maybe by September of this year we will be 80k? Who knows if we can or cannot?

We all know how 2021 October went, we went from 30k to 68k, we are still way above 30k, which means that just one month like October 2021 would equal us to reach a lot higher prices. That is my hope for the year and hopefully it will happen.

But we are coming from a bear season that time, here, the bull season happened last year and it was able to stay long so I think the bear season might stay longer for the market to correct. We can always make our own basis because the bear season has also basis in the past and that's what is happening right now. Not saying I'm right though, the market is pretty much unpredictable, but I feel that the market will struggle for a while and we have to accept to make the right decision during the bear market.

I think both of them will happen this year ;D We have seen a significant decline and many even say that it is currently in a bearish phase but on the other hand it is only a week in 2022 which means there are still 11 months left for 2022 so it's still enough long time to see bitcoin move.
whatever will happen I think this year will definitely be better than 2021 and maybe even this year we can see bitcoin $100k because it reflects from last year's decline which even reached $28k but bounced back to $60k - $70k. I think in the mirror from there the opportunity is still very wide open here

Latest market correction explained why we should wait before making investment decisions,
Anyone should be patience waiting for the market to reach the bottom price. I'm sure that the bearish trend will not be last forever. Impatience person will always be loser in this case as they are too greedy shorting the market. I personally think that we can buy more right now. Market trend will be determining whether we will able to get some money from the market or not.

it is not recommended buying potentially good alternatives coins since market going down that means we are in bear market.
Buying anything during the bear market will be giving you a big lose. Even if you're buying potential coin right now and you are in a big risk to lose your money.

I think for now follow the development first and hope the market can recover soon

Patience is good if your only invested a coin and then it goes down because your surely going to loose if you sell it but if you have not invested yet I think it is fine to start acting now because the market is still red.

I am only following the golden rule which is to buy low and sell high, that is why I said that but it is still up to you if you can wait a little more then fine and maybe the price can dump further and allows you to enjoy more discount. Cannot really tell yet if the whole 2022 is going to be in bull or in bear mode because it is too early but one thing is for sure the market can go green again after some weeks or months.

Patience to take position right now is really needed if we want to buy since we don't know on what is the deepest price would bitcoin can possibly get that's why seeing first on how market goes will make us avoid the possibilities to bag hold. But if we are already bag holding then maybe its time to chill out since if we got affected by many sentiments then provably we will get panic and lose our money.

Investing in good coins can still be done by anyone now and there is no need to wait long for it even though the market is not in a good condition during January this year, but if it can be better next month, then buy now Of course it will be very profitable.

The overall market value of cryptocurrencies climbed by about $1.5 trillion in 2021 to some $2.3 trillion
Bitcoin, up more than 60% in pandemics, as most people move towards the digital assets , in 2022 suddenly Russian conflicts leave a bigger impact on the market,
If we move in past we see Bitcoin nearly triples its price in 2020 and ends the year close to $29,000
It’s just the start of the year we can hope for the bullish,

I agree. The opportunity is already in front of us because we have seen that all coins are definitely in dips. And the fact that dips is happening, then its a good time to buy and hold. For now, i can say that the market is totally bearish but i guess it won't be the same in the next couple of months. Bullish season might also appear at the last quarter of the year so this year might be a season for both. So there' no need to fear even if the dips is getting deeper because it won't be forever like that.

Bearish for sure.  Every massive run needs a pullback.  Especially for alts which got insanely pumped for no reason. You will see coins retrace upwards of 95% their ath if not more.  Look at the daily drops.  That's a clear indication people are parting well before it really hurts.  I expect by mid summer altcoin 24 hour vume will be severely low along with prices.

Finally, we see something surprise us this January 2022 which shows us that the crypto market drops drastically and most people were not expecting to see it happen to the market. Bitcoin itself drops and back to the $35k level without we know if the price will still drop to $30k level or it can bounce up in the next months. But if we see the trend, it seems it will be like this until the end of the month but hopefully, that is not right and in the next weeks, the price can still sustain and even can increase and back to $40k. We do not know for sure but we can still hope, although it will be difficult to see the truth. So the first month of this year is a bearish time for the market but hopefully will change that in the next months.

I was really surprised Bitcoin could drop below $40k, as I suspected before if the price of Bitcoin fell below the price of $ 40k there would be
a panic sell. It turns out that some investors have started selling their Bitcoins and have made the Bitcoin price continue to fall.
Bitcoin is now at $35k, which is not a good thing. There is still a big possibility that the price of Bitcoin could still go down even lower,
but I really hope the price of Bitcoin can recover soon in the near future. If the price of Bitcoin continues to fall it will be very detrimental,
because it affects the price of altcoins is also getting lower. But I'm still optimistic that in 2022 there will be a bullish trend, therefore I never
hesitate to continue to accumulate Bitcoin and some of the top altcoins right now. I believe next month the market will recover soon,
and the crypto market can be bullish again.

Although 2022 started on a bearish mood but I still expect 2022 to be bullish for crypto. I don't expect a repeat of 2018 because unlike 2018 crypto has grown more popular into the mainstream and it is now more acceptable. I expect that before the end of February we should be expecting a recovery.

actually it is very natural when there is an increase, after which there is a decrease.
we have seen last year full of surprises, even there BTC touched new ath twice, while now there is a significant decline but this is what makes me excited because with this decline there will certainly be a significant increase in the future.
2022 is only in its first month and that means there is still a long way to go for crypto to develop in a better direction.

The current market status will really let you crossing your fingers, thinking that it will just a temporary dumped and bounce will take place within a couple of months, though the entire economy is really affected with how this turns of events especially the virus that still spreading, maybe investors are pulling their investment for a while or taking side in their safe ground.

They are not willing to risk but instead they are just observing then come back when the good market run starts.

We just need to keep waiting and hope that it will still be a profitable journey to or investment.

A single to a few months of performance shouldn't be the thing we need to based on if we are speculating what trend will dominate the whole year.

Others can't just accept the fact that even amid a strong bullish trend, it can be spoiled anytime. Their price expectations, especially with their hold altcoins, are too good to be realistic wherein it should happen right away or within just a short period of time. Good thing that a bearish trend happened so that new players will understand that crypto is volatile.

You are right. We don't need to lose hope as we are just at the start of the year. And as bearish season happens, i always think that this is a good start of the year so we can also make a lot of opportunities to invest while prices are its lowest. But eventually, what we have at the present won't lasts forever. Bullish season is still expected by the middle or at the last quarter of the year. Although its still unpredictable, but we should always be positive that the market will create more progress every year.
Positive thinking like this is what is needed now instead of thinking about panic and how to sell the price accordingly when we buy because it will be meaningless now.
the possibility of a bullish is still very big, see 2021 even bitcoin has reached a price below more than this, and we passed it even reached a new ath.
now what to worry about this decline.
just relax and don't think too much in a negative direction

I think NFTs just an hype system where familiar or popular few months only and not any profitable for investor buy back NFTs lately because hard to sell above his purchase price before. I hope for cryptocurrency keep focus with trade or investing your assets on potential altcoin, never try with NFTs looks like hype and not guarantee you can sell above your price buy before. Now many people make NFTs and sell with crazy price but how come could sold on public, what for buying NFTs without any function like using for game card or other function adopted in real life.

Cryptocurrencies this year are under all-out attack by several parties so that they often experience a decline and are far from increasing, even though some think that the current decline is only a temporary thing.

Altcoins will be the ones mostly affected by the bear market, since they're highly dependent on Bitcoin. Prices are still going down, so my guess is that 2022 will become an extremely-bearish year for crypto. This kind of market behavior happens after the end of the "hype cycle", so there's no reason to be alarmed. The smart money will buy the dip as this is just a temporary situation. Once everything goes back up again, we should expect major cryptocurrencies to reach new All-time-highs. Bitcoin is the main mover of the market, so if it experiences high gains, altcoins will do the same.

What matters is not the price per coin, but rather decentralization/censorship-resistance. As long as crypto stays that way, it'll last a lifetime no matter what. Who knows how the future will look like with government-issued digital currencies and decentralized cryptocurrencies as the dominant forces of the mainstream economy? Just my thoughts ;D

It's actually reversing now. Many NFTs have dropped in their prices and their charts doesn't look good because it seems that they've pulled out already.
But for those legitimate ones, they're also affected due to bitcoin's drop and this makes them go through a rough days since all of them are dependent to the move of bitcoin.
This is why if you're going to invest into these NFTs, make sure that you've invested first in bitcoin. As the price going down, don't be afraid because it's inevitable.

with this price drop that we had recently, I would not rush to talk about the bear market because the price is still floating at $37,000 something that can go up to $40,000 and try again to go above $50,000 so talking about the market of low now is something risky because the price can increase a lot, to see a bear market the price would have to be at $30,000 for a long time, which has not happened yet

Why do you think it'll be that way? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

as I said if the price doesn't fall below $32000 then we can't rush to talk about a bear market
