Title: Account sales spam
Post by: Charles-Tim on January 19, 2022, 07:32:52 PM
Colonel Panic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=310117), a Bitcointalk user that registered on this forum in 2014. Not likely but certain that this user is one of the account farmers before merit system was introduced. He created a thread few hours ago which is the first link I provided below. Probably because no response since some hours ago, he created another thread about account sales again few minutes ago. You can check the first and second account sales thread below.

He is spamming this forum with account sales while account sellers can not be trusted. The spam is the reason for the negative tag while to also use it to discouraged account sales according to one of the rules of this forum.

Seems serious account seller. He knows very well he will get negative feedback due to account selling posts and he already mentioned it on the sell thread. He is selling a red trusted account and I don't think someone will be interested to buy who is aware of red trust. Otherwise, people might get scammed during buying accounts because I don't think they will find escrow service.

Tagged by the way.

This isn't against forum rules and can't be deleted. Account sales allowed but highly discouraged. And it's not accepted by the major part of the community.

No, it cannot be deleted. This is not against forum rules.

I sell clean accounts. I'm not SPAM, I'm a real member. I also accept escrow.

account sales while account sellers can not be trusted.

I accept escrow why am I unreliable?

Topics were deleted at the behest of a madman. I also opened a new topic, I did this quickly thanks to you. Thank you for the archive.

I'm not SPAM, I'm a real member.

One doesn't have to exclude the other. Just a quick glance at your post history will suffice.

I accept escrow why am I unreliable?

You are very well aware that account sales are discouraged by the majority of members of this forum. It is clear that you do not respect the community and that you cannot be trusted.

Topics were deleted at the behest of a madman.

No. Topics were deleted because they violated the forum's rules. If you do not like it, find another place to post your spam.

I didn't like it, I opened the same topics again in the same place.

I didn't like it, I opened the same topics again in the same place.

Which shows your utter foolishness. Didn't you know you weren't allowed to do that?
If moderator deleted your post, it was for a reason; so calling someone "a madman" isn't going to help you in your endeavor.

I didn't like it, I opened the same topics again in the same place.

It's your right to do whatever comes to mind, but don't show up at the Meta board asking what happened to me and why my account was banned. Moderators can tolerate things to some degree, but no one will clean up your trash forever.

Find a more honorable way to make money, selling accounts is not good for you, and it will not be good for those who buy such an account.

Thank you for your recommendation. Honorable and professional account seller is needed in this forum. I will meet this need.

I am still amazed about the courage some have for doing such shenanigans. In an ironic way, this user was also honest about his... how to say?!...  merchandise! He prefered to have his old profile painted in red, instead using an alt account lol.

However, while I was reading these an idea came through my mind and I could not stop from laughing. Picture this: the user actually manages to sell an account (or more) and he receives positive feedback for that! O0 Now let's imagine also that his customer is also a DT member (I'm not thinking about DT1, which are mostly trustworthy, but at the army of 500+ DT2 users -- and here it's possible, among 500 people, to find one interested in obscure stuff). Now if that happens, then the feedback will be shown directly at the Trust section, not at the Untrusted feedback, and it'll also affect the Trust score. Imagine how that would look like:

Trust Summary for Colonel Panic (+1 /=0 /-4)

FatFork Reference (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382186.0) Account sellers should not be trusted, you are most likely to lose your money.

Customer Reference (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382186.0) Serious and reliable account seller. He sent first and I paid after. I recommend him!

<snip>

Well, if that ever happens, I would be delighted to review my negative trust rating.  :D

It is my impression that we are in a shortage of honest account sellers here, so each of them is extremely rare. It would be a shame to ruin an account of such incredible value.

Cigg and Alcohol are also discouraged but red tag someone in real life on their face and see the hospital in which you end up.

Read rule number 18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.

It's better to Donate accounts and Accept Donations in return in public, no one has to know in which position you enjoyed your last night behind the door.

Loooooooooooooooool! Yes, it would be a shame to actually have inside the forum a reliable trading partner and instead of positive Trust score to be painted in red.

It is my impression that we are in a shortage of honest account sellers here, so each of them is extremely rare. It would be a shame to ruin an account of such incredible value.

Yes, true! Excepting that, I noticed also a shortage on reliable Ponzi creators. I barely wait the moment to see a new pirateat40 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4464504.0), but a honest one. Practically to say from the very beginning he will try to steal money and, if people are that dumb, to enroll in his Ponzi scheme.

For example, we can take a look as Useless Ethereum Token's page (https://uetoken.com/). These guys are honest thieves :)

Quote
You're going to give some random person on the internet money, and they're going to take it and go buy stuff with it. Probably electronics, to be honest. Maybe even a big-screen television. Seriously, don't buy these tokens.

However, if people insist to give them money (and people insisted to do so), they could not say no =))) But at least they were open from very beginning:

Quote
Wait… is this a joke? Is it a scam?
Neither! This is real—and it's 100% transparent. You're literally giving your money to someone on the internet and getting completely useless tokens in return.
There are no “whitepapers,” no “products,” and no “experts.” It's just you, me, your hard-earned Ether, and my shopping list.

Why are you doing this?
Who knows? Maybe it's because I lost money in the GDAX flash crash. Maybe I got inspired by the guy who crowdfunded the potato salad. Maybe I'm just way too bored and need a better hobby.

Will there be more chances to buy UET?
That's a great question! It totally depends on how the ICO performs in the beginning. If I don't make enough money to buy at least one flat-screen television, I'll probably keep the ICO open longer than initially stated.

Will UET be traded on any exchanges?
I hope so. You have no idea how much I hope so.
In fact, if it does get picked up by any of the major exchanges, I promise to use some of the ICO proceeds to constantly and incessantly manipulate the market.

What can I do with UET?
UET is a standard ERC20 token, so you can hold it and transfer it.
Other than that… nothing. Absolutely nothing.
(Seriously, don't buy this. Why are you even still reading these?)

And the last quote is by far la pièce de résistance :)

Quote
How do I get a refund for the tokens I bought?
You're kidding, right?

So yes, honest and reliable thieves and scammers are so rare nowadays. We should appreciate the few ones we have.
