Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: LoyceV on January 22, 2022, 08:13:32 PM LoyceV = Loy-se-Vu [French accent] Why French? I'm not sure how to type phonetics in English, but I'd say it's "Loy-se-Ve". Or make it my full random name: Loyce Valenzuela rolls off the tongue much better! Or just call me Marcel.o_e_l_e_o = o-ee-lee-o [Just like we pronounce Leo] Don't do him short, it's clearly OO underscore EE underscore EL underscore EE underscore OO :PTitle: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: BlackHatCoiner on January 22, 2022, 09:21:03 PM Or make it my full random name: Loyce Valenzuela Your real name is not Loyce? Okay, let's see. DannyHamilton is actually called Danny Hamilton, LoyceV is not called Loyce, but Marcel (which makes sense now that I rethought of it). What's next? o_e_l_e_o not called Leo? franky1 not from Frank? Satoshi not Craig?Don't do him short, it's clearly OO underscore EE underscore EL underscore EE underscore OO I removed the underscores and it's the worst thing I've ever seen in a sentence: oeleo. And I googled it. And there's a place (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oeleo) by that name. Spooky coincidence or terrible irony for his privacy emphasis? :PTitle: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: Mbitr on January 22, 2022, 09:26:11 PM Lol - this getting crazy :)
LoyceV is …… Loice V …….surely :) Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: dkbit98 on January 22, 2022, 10:41:07 PM LoyceV = Loys Ve or Louise Ve
Loyce is obviously a female name, so maybe I have to start addressing LoyceV as she from now on. I don't see a problem with that if people can still claim Lauda was a female, and I think that someone mentioned before that V is the first letter of a very long last name. Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: o_e_l_e_o on January 23, 2022, 09:46:00 AM o_e_l_e_o not called Leo? Spooky coincidence or terrible irony for his privacy emphasis? :P My fiendish plan to obscure my location has been compromised! I'll be requesting theymos change my name to b_a_r_c_o_e_l_e_o_n_a. That should keep people guessing. But yeah, the second episode pronounced it properly: Oh-Leo. Or just Leo. Which is or is not my name. I thought it was well known my name came from a random name generator.Quote LoyceV is not called Loyce, but Marcel Now don't start thinking Marcel (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5226757.msg53866363#msg53866363) is my real name :DQuote (which makes sense now that I rethought of it). Do explain :DQuote Satoshi not Craig? Who's Crack?Loyce is obviously a female name By the time I figured that out, "LoyceV" had grown on me as a name. I never expected I'd still be using it almost 7 years later!Quote so maybe I have to start addressing LoyceV as she from now on. Lauda & Loyce please confirm your gender... I made a test with google https://translate.google.it/?sl=it&tl=en&text=bitbollo&op=translate and it sound more or less correctly in any language (ok not really perfect in Bulgarian or Nepalese but this is a good starting point)! It's funny (at least to me) that in any language you want to curse me ... it will always sound the same ;D Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: Pmalek on January 23, 2022, 10:35:06 AM I think my username is quite easy to pronounce, nevertheless, I have an official pronunciation tutorial. I know you are Italian, but for some reason, my inside voice was always pronouncing your name as fillip + one. Like one fillip. Does 'fillippone' mean little fillip, just like 'principino' means little prince?I have always been fond of the way Italians create simple nicknames. In Gomorrah, you will hear Genny, Genna or don Genna for Gennaro. Or my favorite Patri or donna Patri for Patricia. Ciru for Ciro even tough it's almost the same. o_e_l_e_o = o-ee-lee-o [Just like we pronounce Leo] No, no, you don't pronounce that. You just copy and paste it from one of his posts if you need it. ;D I can neither confirm nor deny that my name either is or is not Leo. I can say with absolute certainty that your name is Leo or it isn't. It's 100% one or the other. Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: BlackHatCoiner on January 23, 2022, 04:25:35 PM I thought it was well known my name came from a random name generator. Wow, you're the first person I know who uses a random name generator. Could you PM me the generator you used? :PDo explain C'mon, “Loyce Vee” is the name of a cartoon character the most. Marcel is prestigious.Who's Crack? We are. We are all Crack Wright ;)so maybe I have to start addressing LoyceV as she from now on. Justified. Honestly, “Marcel”, a fox cycling with LoyceV as a username? Fun fact: When I was still a newbie I thought he was a female. That's the beauty of pseudonymity.Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: SFR10 on January 23, 2022, 06:05:22 PM
Why French? I'm not sure how to type phonetics in English, but I'd say it's "Loy-se-Ve". You're right, but the blend on its last part felt good; hence why I went with a French-style...Or just call me Marcel. Hey Marcel :P ;)Now don't start thinking Marcel (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5226757.msg53866363#msg53866363) is my real name :D I'm confused! Can I call you Marcellus instead [it's more macho (music to my ears)]? ;D(ok not really perfect in Bulgarian or Nepalese but this is a good starting point)! Have you tried listening to it in Portuguese and Arabic? :DTitle: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: bitbollo on January 23, 2022, 06:55:30 PM Have you tried listening to it in Portuguese and Arabic? :D Not bad at all ;D I was expecting something really disjointed... In Portuguese it sounds like "Bi*ch bollo" ... Arabic version sounds like "Bitta-bollo" https://i.ibb.co/MNrwQRZ/xbox-series-x-s-smart-delivery-xbox-uk-trolla-sony-update-ps4-ps5-v4-470618-1280x960.jpg The "bollo" part of my username sounds always in the same manner ;) in all languages Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: dkbit98 on January 23, 2022, 11:25:39 PM 3 posts up (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382535.msg59051688#msg59051688) Thanks, that is one plot twist.Your forum last name Valenzuela is exactly the same like first class city in Philippines, that must have some deeper meaning. Justified. Honestly, “Marcel”, a fox cycling with LoyceV as a username? Fun fact: When I was still a newbie I thought he was a female. That's the beauty of pseudonymity. Now I see the bigger picture and conspiracy behind Foxpup merit cycling. It's one big girl power movement, so I am suspecting that all members could be females only or wannabes. Prove me wrong. For no reason I always thought it had something to do with Dark Souls 2 and those weird ass [Loyce] knights in a place called Eleum Loyce.https://darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/file/Dark-Souls-2/cotik_npc_loyce_knight.png Title: Re: [BitcoinTalkShow] How to pronounce Bitcointalk usernames video Post by: BlackHatCoiner on January 24, 2022, 07:24:45 AM pooya87 = Pooh-yeahhhh-ate-seven [Southern accent] WTF, poo-yeah? There, made it really simple for you :) Some people pronounce it Not-at-ether which I find a bit crazy (and obnoxious at times).
