Efficiency
ViptoCoin uses the NIST5 hash, which is chosen as the winning algorithm by the US Nation of Science competition. Combination of security and mining efficiency were the key points taken into account. NIST5 has been shown to be more power efficient and secure than other prominent algorithms.

Why NIST5?
ViptoCoin chose to use NIST5 as its hashing algorithm because it has been proven to be more secure and power-efficient than other leading algorithms. NIST5 is a combination of the finalists and winner of the US National Institute of Standards and Technology Hash Function Competition (specifically BLAKE, Grøstl, JH, Keccak/SHA-3, and Skein). NIST5 was created fairly recently, and immediately saw use by other coins, but failed to see mainstream adoption.

Nist5 is a proof of work mineable algorithm that is NiceHash able and was resistant to ASICs formerly. This one is a combination of 5 different algorithms and is similar to Tribus. The 5 hashing algorithms that comprise Nist5 are Blake (Aumasson 2010), Grøstl (Gauravaram1 et al. 2011), JH (Wu 2012), Keccak (Bertoni et al. 2012), and Skein (Ferguson et al. 2010). It is a core heavy hashing algorithm and that can be mined using consumer-grade hardware like CPUs and GPUs (AMD / NVIDIA). Also, Nist5 is a power- efficient algorithm and since it uses core it was proven that it is not as ASIC resistance compared to other memory-heavy algorithms. It is true and even recently it became completely nonresistant with the release of Baikal ASIC miner BK-X.

I also got my free 1000 ViptoCoin but i really want to know what is the potential price for this coin. I wish admin was more active here and give us details as when we will be listing this coin on coinmarketcap and when can we expect it to be listed on the exchanges.

What makes this a new technology cryptocurremcy?  This is just another clone coin from what I see.  Why does anyone need this coin over say bitcoin?  It says its unique in its distribution, how?  And anonymous...I doubt that.  Just using buzzwords doesn't work.  Need substance.

 I don't see any new progress for this coin of VCC. And according to https://www.ztb.im/exchange?coin=VCC_USDT it went down already the price value from 0.00045$ and now its 0.0000091$ and the worst is VCC volume on this exchange was only 100$, meaning the developer of this coin has no good objective to give opportunity to the majority of the community here in the crypto space. The owner of this coins must do something to convince or attract more investors for VCC so in the long run it will not turn into nothing or will be delist in the market, just like that.

Do you think that freely available things have a price tag on it. I remember few months ago, a similar coin called Merlyncoin was offering free coins to the community and I had obtained 100,000 MRN through their giveaway. It is still not listed in CMC or in any other exchanges. The project became a total failure. That's what usually happens to any coins that are offered for free of cost.

The moment it will liat into any exchange, people will rush to sell and the price will crash. That's usually the fate for such cryptos.
