And he sent 👇 Account name:Micheal Adeleke Account no:0002521265 suntrust bank And I deposit the money then I told him to send the goods, he said, the manager said I should pay a delivery fee of #10,000 then I noticed that it is a scam. I don't really get, did you use jumia website or jumia app? I dont think you will be asked to make transfer if you are making any purchases from jumia, you will be asked to use your Atm card to make payment and delivery fee will be included if you are making payment, so I don't think anybody will ask you to make transfer, the person you meet on Facebook is not jumia agent but a scammer, next time if you are making any purchase from jumia always make sure you use their application. Title: Re: Fake Jumia Agent (Scammer) Post by: Cookdata on March 15, 2022, 12:27:37 PM ....... You were scammed and it was very easy to see it coming but I think you were so desperate to get that item at all cost. A lesson should be learned but there is no need to open a local scam on a global board, do that on the local board where your locals will learn from the mistake you made in the past and make awareness about it. You can close this thread and repost it on Naija Unofficial board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5121680) using pidgin to carry everyone along and next time, don't deal with an agent on Jumia, they are all scammers, your deal and payment should always be done inside Jumia. Title: Re: Fake Jumia Agent (Scammer) Post by: Bitcoin_Arena on March 15, 2022, 08:58:35 PM I was curious, so I did some search about Jumia. From what I understood, it's an online shopping website. More like AliExpress or Amazon, but then you just decided to deal with an outsider you got from Facebook and paid him?
I think it is your fault that you got scammed, and you should think smarter next time. It is like meeting someone on Facebook who claims to be an agent of Binance and sending him money to buy for you Bitcoin yet you can buy it directly on the exchange. |
