Title: What is NFT? & How to get free NFTs on coinmarketcap
Post by: CryptoHeadlineNews on April 05, 2022, 07:01:47 PM
Today, I will be sharing with you guys my strategy on how I was able to own some few NFTs from this popular crypto price tracking and data analytical website called "coinmarketcap dot com" without creating any digital art or buying any sort of NFT of any kind. So just bear in mind that if only you too can put in just 2 to 5 minutes of your time daily, you can achieve it too.
So let's get started, but before we begin, just know that this strategy works from anywhere around the world, as long as you could access coinmarketcap, you are good to go. So...

https://ibb.co/QYwgs2W]https://i.ibb.co/HG8SmWc/images-2022-03-27-T220708-082.jpg[/url]

WHAT IS NFT?
The acronym NFT simply stand for "Non Fungible Token". They are digital art on the blockchain which has a unique identification codes that distinguishes them from each other.

Morever, ever since the evolution of NFTs, it has actually proved itself to be a boom in the lives of many others, just like Jack Dorsey "CEO and co founder of Twitter" who auctioned and sold his ever first crazy tweet titled "Just setting up my Twittr" with a final bid of $2.9 million dollars, (Woow, is't that crazy?🙉🙉) and also another shocking and surprising sales made by Vignesh Sundereson  a.k.a Metakoven who bought over 69.3 million dollars worth of NFTs on Beeple, (Oh my God🙉🙉) and this has now crave popularity for NFT and people are now willing to pay over thousand of dollars for a single NFTs.

WHY NFT?
NFT are trustworthy, easily transferable and also grant the ability to maintain ownership right of your art work.

HOW DOES NFT WORKS?
NFT turns your digital assets into one of a kind, by creating a unique digital signature which defines the ownership of your asset and can be bought or sold with real money, cryptocurrencies or any other assets.

So, finally you have known what an NFT is, so now is time to know how to get free NFT on coinmarketcap, so let's begin.

Coinmarketcap under attack, scammers now used it for illicit activities after gaining access to hack.

Quote
On Sunday, April 3rd, smart contract audit company HashEx had noticed an intricate scheme to part crypto users from their money.

These scammers had seemingly hacked CoinMarketCap’s Cryptown social network, gaining access to the admin, where they had proceeded to create a number of copycat verified CoinMarketCap accounts. With these accounts, the scammers had begun posting that they were doing a token sale. One of these copycat accounts appeared to be the official CoinMarketCap account on Cryptown which had also posted about the token sale, the “Official CoinMarketCoin Presale”.
https://bitcoinist.com/how-scammers-used-coinmarketcap-to-carry-out-crypto-scheme/amp/

currently coinmarketcap is experiencing a taste from the bite of the hackers as it official account was hacked and aunctioned with the sale of a token, and a huge amounts were told to be carted away within the early hours of monday.
I don't need to emphasize much stress on the post, the quotes explain it all.

Also am not concluding in saying what OP posted is a scam but we need to emphasize on the rate scammers make use of NFT in perpetrating illicit activities.

I had one question to all NFT lovers.
Is there any really free NFT worth anything?
Probably we can get many free nft over different platform (not cmc only). But what we can do with them? Is it possible to sold them whenever we want? Or just need to wait something special?

Unlike the usual tokens we know, selling an NFT is a shit load of pain. You have to wait for someone foolish enough to buy it and give you their ETH or BNB.
It's why I have never bothered owning even one

That's what I was thinking. I guess there are some very highly priced NFTs, but the likelihood that an NFT you get for free at CMC is going to be worth a significant amount seems to me to be close to zero. In the same way that the amounts of Bitcoin or alts you can get on faucets are laughable. I guess someone will hit the lottery and some NFT he gets will multiply in value, but OP's strategy to get money seems to me a waste of time.

Most free nfts are useless, however 3 times (Zapper, Zerion and two nfts from pods finance as reward for testnet participation) they have value.

So you worked for days to accumulate a completely virtual number in a virtual account with a price reporting website. How much real money does that even translate into? $0.000001? :D

Thanks for sharing this OP, I didn't know that you need an account or there's something that you could do on CMC other than check prices.

Anyway, when I checked CMC, you can connect your Binance account there. I'm trying to see if I can do what you are doing and it's possible on Desktop as well. Just click the Diamond thing next to your profile.

I wouldn't expect something of it but it's just like a check-in every day. I'll check if I can be consistent with this, lol.

I didn't know that you can get free NFT on coinmarketcap for free just by claiming diamonds after creating an account. Anyway, if the NFT you got on cmc then is it really worth to sell or does the NFT you got for free have value?. Base on the quote about cmc being hacked is quite not good to have an account there or even connect a wallet on cmc. Thanks for sharing this op and I will try to do what you do and see if the time you will spend on this one is worth it.

No fun of getting those CMC diamonds to redeem for these engin powered Giraffe collection which is worth nothing and will be listed on Enjin NFT marketplace in future. You would need 800 diamonds to redeem one of those NFT and you will spend quite a lot of your time over these waiting daily to get rewards on CMC so total wastage of time.

Quote
Then the supply is 20,000 per Giraffe. I hope their network don’t glitch when it’s time to redeem because that has been my experience anytime I want to redeem any of these NFTs.

This is kind of airdrop to have Enjin wallet downloaded because this is the only way you can redeem these NFT by providing ETH address.

Based on your screenshot, that NFT has 20000 supply. I expect lots of people already attempt to sell it with very low price.
I have found only matching search on opensea related to these Enjin Giraffe collection and he has listed them at very high price so the chances of selling out is low if they are getting it for free with CMC diamonds.

Enjin Giraffe Opensea  (https://opensea.io/collection/enjin-giraffes)

But as you said there are some who can even buy your shit art for millions having no utility at all for just making PFP in your social media accounts.

Okay, I am curious now. Why do you think NFT = shit load of pain when both 'usual tokens' and 'NFT' are same except for the fact that NFTs have an additional metadata field? Yes, there are hundreds of scams and low-quality cash-grabs and several influencers are taking advantage of the trend and making millions. But lashing the whole concept doesn't make sense to me. If you ask me, I consider NFT superior to the fungible tokens. With metadata, we can create much better Web 3.0 applications by saving the users' unique data directly on the blockchain. The blockchain-lead future we all are imagining right now won't be possible without NFTs.

And this is the way with decentralized world, Ethereum opened the world of tokens to the people and we saw the huge inflow of low-effort ICOs/IDOs stealing millions from the people few years ago. The same thing is happening now with NFTs (plus vanity thingy also kicked in due to rarities). But when the dust will settle, we will see that the NFTs are net-positive for the blockchain industry.

Time is very important these days, and unfortunately some choices that some make thinking it's a way to earn is usually not a way. You have to be careful, there are a lot of distracting investment schemes that will not last the test of time or may become regular when the hype dies away.
That is my particular fear as regards NFT's, i have heard too many cases of people who have traded their bitcoins for NFTs...i hope they later don't fall into regrets.

Learn to invest wisely, useful time should not be allocated carelessly into every venture that the wide majority believes will be profitable, every way is not a way.

-snip-

for some reason, what Logfiles said is true, we can see what is happening to current NFT market, most of the expensive NFTs are NFTs that do not have utility, for example, Ghozali Everyday NFT, what can be obtained from an NFT similar to this NFT? There is noting, just an hype. Maybe what is meant is NFT like this, not as a whole. As for NFT which has value and utility, of course this is good to have, although maybe from the Logfiles perspective, it is not of interest to him at all.

However, I also agree with you, this NFT is the beginning that will be one of the great potentials in blockchain, maybe one day we can record data on the blockchain to minimize fraud in any form.

Mostly they have over-value or zero-value.

Quote

It depends. If you can receive airdrop and assign a specific wallet for it. You can claim airdrop and sell it. I consider it as altcoin airdrop and NFT is just one of airdrop methods.

However, if you have to do KYC and submit your personal identity documents, whatever similar to such, I would recommend you should not do this. In addition, make sure people don't carelessly install wallets, apps from new and zero reputation projects. Claiming a zero-/ low-value NFT and get a breach to hackers, it's terrible.

Thank you for sharing this post with us. I personally found it very interesting and informative. The information is well structured and easy to follow. I am relatively new to Non Fungible Tokens and cryptocurrency. I am trying to learn more about how blockchains work because from what I understood so far this is at the base of both NFTs and cryptocurrencies. I am studying right now at https://bhero.com to get to know more about how startups take their cryptocurrency or NFTs onto the Elrond blockchain. Do you guys have any recommendations on what should I start with?

Hi, could you tell me which NFT projects are promising right now and which are worth paying attention to? Who has a good marketing campaign now to successfully buy NFTs and then sell them.

NFT projects abound. All the more promising. I just recently started investing in king of da street nft (https://hodlers.pro/d/1544-kings-of-da-street-street-wear-colture-nfts). Quite promising project, the minimum price of 2 sols. Number 10000, but they have a very steep marketing campaign. On the marketplaces quickly buy up such NFTs and they are qualitatively growing in price. The brand is actively developing, in the future I think they will create a few more cool projects.
The most of the project you find promising at the moment will be gone with the wind within few weeks and your funds will be lost.So how do you believe them until they show you some progress because I don't believe on mere roadmaps as most of them are cash grab project filling out their pockets.

The project you are talking about has supply of 10k and minting was at 2 SOL then they raised 20k SOL and now the floor is 0.16 SOL so almost you are down in your investment so don't believe they are gonna make it.

Hi, could you tell me which NFT projects are promising right now and which are worth paying attention to? Who has a good marketing campaign now to successfully buy NFTs and then sell them.
See what blockchain projects you are looking at the moment like Solana or ETH depending on the funds you have because ETH one's will consume considerable part in gas so you need to look after them.

But speaking seriously most of the NFT projects at the time are rugged so advice you to stay away from them as owners are grabbing money from you with promising development but they all are in vain so the funds will be lost and no official enquiry on them.Invest your funds somewhere safe like bitcoin with small amount also but if you want to invest in some NFT project then do research first of all.

No one buys them, if it's nft gotten for free from cmc/galaxy. It's likely to be worthless or a few dollar at best.

In the same manner as the free tokens from the airdrop, there will be something that is worth selling and something that appears to be of little value. I remember a few months ago I got a free NFT mobox from binance and then sold them for $40/nft, on binance NFT marketplace, some others can sell up to 100$, 200$/NFT.
All of them are not useless or no one buys them, it depends on the project.

I'll agree. People are often dismissive of fundamentally new things, but I think it makes sense to give them a chance. The NFT market has not collapsed and is only growing, it would be strange to miss such an opportunity.

You don't understand the point that it's not about fundamentally new things but how people derived it's utility and make profits out of it.The NFT is new trend in the market but if you see what it is actually? A token only but what's the utility of it to the holders? Most of the project you see at this time are cash grab who are trying to raise funds only from people with limited amount of supply say 10K at most with the amount they have set as mint price.

So now you hold this token on your address as jpeg but you can make profits out of it with flipping it for more price but what's the development team had promised? They will not update you and it will go on to zero slowly giving out loss in the end which is bad thing. There are some projects which are coming up with some problem solving utility but overall there is rush to these NFT like the shit tokens they made in hope of profits only.
