Title: 1GH Ethash using 2500 watt
Post by: BitKongy on April 24, 2022, 06:06:31 PM
Is it possible to build a mining farm with 1GH power from graphic cards using just 2500watt power if yea which graphic cards will you use that will consume this exact 2500watt consumption.

You can use 31 RX 6600XT which will give you around those exact numbers.

you can do rtx a2000

25 cards will do

40x25=1gh
70x25= 1750watts add 150 for mobos 1900watts.

actually better but the rtx a2000 costs 500-550 a card so 12000-13000

the 6600xt are 350-400 maybe the same 12000-13000

If you can mod A2000 RTX you can get 50MH out of them, RedPandaMining have showcase a 8x A2000 mining rig that gives 400MH, having 20 of these card will give you 1GH easy, the modding isn't even hard to do, the tutor is on YouTube, follow RedPanda Mining.

Wait for the 6650xt - up to 35mh @ 70W is possible. 30x and you have around 2100w with around 1,05 Gh

Do you have enough space in your garage for mid-range graphic cards? The lower the hashrate the more spaces they acquire, go for graphic cards that hash at 50 to 60MH per GPU but if you have large space then go with 6600XT.

1. GTX 1660 Super ( 32 pieces ) > 1000MH ( 1900 Watts ).
2. RX6600XT  (32 pieces ) > 1020MH ( 1920 Watts ).
3. RX Vega 56 (20 pieces ) > 1000MH  ( 2400 Watts ).
4. RTX 3060 Ti  ( 17 pieces ) > 1020MH  (2040 Watts ).
5. RTX A2000  ( 25 pieces ) > 1025MH  (1750 Watts ).
6. GTX 1660  ( 40 pieces ) > 1000MH ( 2200Watts ).

Minus the power consumption of motherboard, risers, and others, also those GTX graphic cards have 6GB memory they might not be good for future mining unless ETH did activate the Merge.

4. RTX 3060 Ti  ( 17 pieces ) > 1020MH  (2040 Watts ).

That is the best option if you want a set and forget mining rig.I have had this card beside many others and it is the only one which has never given me a single problem for more than one year while all the other options as good as they maybe I think occasional crashes will still happen and this is also the lowest number of cards to achieve 1GHSH of power which also means lowest number of problems during your mining journey.

So the lower the number of graphic cards the better, what about RTX 3070s are they good options too? I can only find few RTX 3060 Ti here because many others are LHR which I don't want, I can find RTX 3070s non LHR, may be I should just mix them?.

yeah 3060ti and 3070 if they are all (non LHR ) do about 58-62 mh and pull 120-135 watts

so at worst 17 x 58 = 986mh and about 2200 watts.

Thanks, guys, I found 10 3070 non LHR and decide to go with that and add 7 more 3060Ti too, ordered and waiting for delivery which always takes three to four weeks to get to my country, B250 motherboard and big open case with a large PSU EVGA 1800 Watts packaged along too.
