Hi Guys, here I want to talk about Bitcoin. Basically Bitcoin is the only coin that is in great demand and highly sought after by people who enter the world of Cryptocurrency, even very many people are looking for ways and finding ways how they can get this Bitcoin, of whom there are those who do Mining, Trading maybe also included.

Bitcoin's value is now so low, what's the reason? give your feedback?

I have been interested in cryptocurrencies for several years and have spoken to hundreds or maybe thousands of people about it, but till now I have not meet anyone that can evaluate the value of Bitcoin. Could you please tell me how do you conclude that Bitcoin's value is low at this point?  :D

I believe the reason why the OP is thinking that the btc is low at this point is because he is a newcomer in crypto market. If he started like in the year 2015 or even in 2017, I don't think he will consider the $40k-value as low. So more than likely, he is talking in reference to the time he join in this market. Because for example, from my opinion, $40k level is not low for me because I have seen it at about $350. So this is quite subjective. And up until now, the value of btc depends on the supply and demand in the market contributed by varied factors.

My guess is that the current price of Bitcoin is lower than the price of the last ATH and hence his opinion that the value is low.

Let me try to explain. Value comes from demand and supply. If there are more people willing to buy, the price goes up. If there are more people willing to sell, the price goes down.
Where do more people wanting to buy or sell come from can be caused by many factors.
Example: If McDonalds now announced that they sell food only for Bitcoin, immediately many people would like to buy Bitcoin and its price would start to rise. The moment people see the price of Bitcoin rising very quickly, there are people who want to buy it just to make money on it. This makes the price rise even faster and they will achieve a high price, i.e. Bitcoin becomes overvalued. Then there is a sale by people who do not need it to buy food in McDonalds and its price drops. It will drop to the level where people who really need it to buy food in McDonalds will start buying.
At this point, we are in a downturn, looking for the level at which people who really need bitcoin will start buying.
In my opinion, we are very close to the level where people who like McDonalds will start buying ;)
So in fact, the value of Bitcoin at this point is too high, not too low ;)

Bitcoin is indeed in great demand from year to year, whether it's new or old investors/companies they continue to adopt bitcoin if the price weakens. Regarding the current price not as low as 5 years ago or before, we can still enjoy sell above 40K and buy when below that price. But if you want to know why the value of bitcoin is weakening, you can look at Speculation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0) just read first there are many very interesting posts and discussions.

So low? I don't think so, $40k is really high price compared to past 10 years where price is ranging from $5-10 only thats totally low. Bitcoin price is subject to manipulation by whales because it has limited supply so its easy for them to pump if you have huge amount of money, this price drops is only temporary, I think until most retail holders sell and most whales accumulates them at low price, wait for some years $40k will be just a dream just like we see bitcoin at $400. 

You have called the value of bitcoin low? It doens't even make sense. if you back into the a few years ago when the price of bitcoin was still under $10 or $100 and will you think the same to called as a low price? Bitcoin is e even very stable at this moment. No reason. The adoption of bitcoin is still continue and more big companies and bitcoin ETF will come soon. This will bring back bitcoin to the moon again for sure. I think that you are only compare the current price with ATH price which doesn't make sense.

Actually the value and price of bitcoin is not low, seeing you as a newcomer I understand that if you compare the highest Bitcoin value with the current market conditions, it is true that the price of bitcoin is much lower than before, because you as a newcomer first you need to collect a lot of information. about Cryptocurrencies first of course you will not see the current low price of bitcoin, if you know that in previous years bitcoin was only around $300, and the current market price of Bitcoin is around $40K, even a few weeks ago it went up $47k.

If you already think it's still low, then simply buy more of it if you can. For myself, the current price is not a small number for many people. For those with a common income in society, it is still a very large number to reach. In fact, I see no difference to a particular price action today.  Slightly weaker and slightly up, seems normal volatility similar to April Fools' day, FUD penetration sent the market into a panic.  With the supply dwindling to just 2 million untapped, this low can be expected.  Bitcoin is 50% off against ATH, market reaction will be good for this bitcoin price.  My prediction for April will be $45k. Now maybe this 38k will move around a bit and move up.

well the structure itself can really tell why it's getting low right now, i suggest use higher time frames to get more information. Infact previously base on my observation it broke out on the trend and failed to continue making higher highs. so now it expected that it will make more correction on the price within this month or so on because it will retest the previous support.. So if you're planning to buy, be patient.

There's no basis at all that we can say the value of Bitcoin is low or high, just to think that a few years ago it was 1 digit - 2 digits price, and look at now.
Another thing is we are not sure how high the Bitcoin price will be or when.
Today, I am positive about Bitcoin in the long term especially in real-life use cases not only for investment.

First, thank you for answering the question that has been stuck in my mind for a long time, with the answer you gave so I know a lot will even have insight about Bitcoin, I wanted to ask about this at that time I had heard of Bitcoin which has a very high price, can it said it was a very high bitcoin price if i'm not mistaken the bitcoin price was the highest at that time or a few months have passed around the price of $ 63k is this correct or even higher than what i said.

I really understand what you are saying, and thanks for the suggestions and input, I as a newcomer may not know much about Cryptocurrrency, especially on the King of its own coin that is Bitcoin, with what you say that bitcoin is not a low price nowadays , meaning I can say it's time bitcoin is sitting and it's going to be on the upswing at the right time. if it used to be true that the price of Bitcoin was at $300 maybe in the current market price at $40k I personally consider this to be a high Bitcoin price.

I think there will be very many people who will not agree with the word so low that you make. however, bitcoin currently has a high price. however, if you look at the ATH, the price is currently going down, and this is a natural thing. it's a matter of need and demand, so right now people are still waiting for the moment to buy bitcoin, and push it to reach a new ATH again. other than that, in my view, bitcoin price will probably be in the range of $38k to $41k. the lowest price for now can reach $ 35k, and maybe if it goes up the price can reach $ 45k. other than that, the two ranges cannot be "so low" if we broaden our view to see the history that bitcoin has.

No one can deny this fact that Bitcoin is first coin on cryptocurrency platform and still has high demand in crypto industry but you are right that Bitcoin value is low because now Bitcoin is only whale game. Big whales already accumulated much of Bitcoin and price already many x from start and new people entering in Altcoin rather than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is safe investment but it's profit is low as compare to other altcoin with high risk but descent profit

Don't get it wrong Bitcoin price is not low at the moment and the 40k price is not a joke, Bitcoin is one of the most sorts after assets 9f the moment no two ways about that but if you want to get the general opinion/feedback on bitcoin then you will have to ask what is the level of Bitcoin adoption and what the general experience for Bitcoin daily users are such as traders and developers who use Bitcoin to pay for transactions.

It caused by the global economic was not in the good condition right now. Bitcoin can reach ATH once the global economic will be so good like what happened last year. This time it's quite different as SP500 or even nasdaq are on the worst performance again. This is also creating so many fear around the bitcoin and crypto investors. i have seen the comparison from the chart and both were also doing the same. It needs maybe a few years for bitcoin to increase again in the future.
Bitcoin looks strong as it backed by some big investors but in another thing it's being said that if bitcoin is still on the bearish trend.

How do you determine that Bitcoin value is so low right now?
The current Bitcoin price is about $39k, this price is still bigger than the Bitcoin price in 2018, right? If we compared Bitcoin bullish in 2017 and 2021, the price of Bitcoin a year after the bullish is much better this year (2022). So, there is nothing to be worried about Bitcoin value, it is normal if the price decreases continuously because we are in the downtrend phase (bearish). If you expect the price of Bitcoin to increase again above $60k, or want a new ATH of Bitcoin, it should happen in the next Bullrun (2024-2025). Just keep holding your Bitcoin until the next uptrend, mate!!

How you do consider for the price to be low? There's no such thing about low price or bottom price because everything could really be in random or cant be known on what would be the sweet spot.

If you do love to deal with established coins then bitcoin would be the key but dont expect that its value would rise up really that fast compared into low cap coins around.

Invest on what you can afford to lose and dont mind about profiting in a short time.

The good thing about investing or putting your money in an established cryptocurrency like bitcoin, ethereum, binance and other top crypto in the market is that we can assure that the price may still go up no matter how long it takes because they are already established. The crypto market is so volatile and that should be know by anyone who would want to join in the cryptocurrency because if you don't know about it then you probably taking the riskiest journey of your life, we are not only talking about the amount we can afford to lose but also the amount of knowledge you are with in dealing with cryptocurrency.

I don't see bitcoin's price so low today as its currently priced at $39,762. In fact, its a lot higher compared from its previous months. But either way, i cannot also say that bitcoin is at its peak today, i guess its still in the process of reaching its new ATH hopefully this year. But maybe you think that bitcoin is so low these days because the current value is lower than the price when you bought it. Just keep hodling it, bitcoin value will sure to increase in the next couple of months.

If we look at the last year precisely before 2021 then the value of bitcoin is currently not too low, maybe you are new to the crypto world to say that bitcoin is currently very low, and the decline of bitcoin is currently caused by many factors ranging from negative news to other problems that are being faced by the crypto world, but this is commonly felt and rest assured that later the value will definitely increase again at the end of the year or in the next few years.

for long term investors its true holding bitcoin was good decision in order to get high return from market.in few months ago , bitcoin price still moved in limited range between 30k- 48k . need trigger to break this range and we will create new all time high soon, this year actually legal standing approved in many countries and it should good news for us. maybe if there is no negative sentiment that caused by war , market will totall recover soon.

The adoption rate is increasing each and every single day. There are no places that could be considered as a no-bitcoin zone, even in nations that ban bitcoin usage there are people with bitcoins. That should tell you all you need to know about bitcoin in general.

I personally believe that there is a good case to be made about bitcoin price affected by this, because since there are more people, that means it is easier to create a wave, normally back in the day since there were less owners, you would hit a wall, nowadays it is a bit wavy because there are more owners and you could convince more people to move (buy or sell) easier since one see the other and decide based on that.

For me, the value of Bitcoin at this time cannot be said to be low because it is still better than the value in the middle of last year where Bitcoin was corrected to below the price of $30K even though it didn't last too long, which obviously happened.
And now with the value still very close to the $39K price range, I don't think that's a low value even though it's still half the ATH that Bitcoin hit last year.

Bitcoin is top 1 in any charts. That's a proof that it was the most in demand coin but new people nowadays entered crypto not because of bitcoin but it was because of the hype created by newer coins although they will still discover bitcoin later on, the more they want to learn more about cryptocurrencies. There's so many ways to get bitcoin and one of the simplest way I guess is to just buy it directly using your own money.

Trading is hard but it can be easier than mining. Bitcoin value is low but not really that low. There is no real reason behind because there are no negative news that pop out lately but I think this was just a normal fluctuation so don't worry, the price will soon go back above 40k.

Various reasons that were affecting the price of bitcoin started from the global conflict, war, and many more. Those stupid countries are not even stopping their conflict. That creates so many fear among the stock market that was affecting the crypto holders as well. I would not be surprised if that will make crypto to be dumped so hard again like this time. Bitcoin has no stability over its price and it's very volatile at this moment too. The price of bitcoin is so weak without a strong support caused by the strong support already broken since bitcoin was dumping so hard to the bottom.

I think the war of some countries have low effect on the volatility of Bitcoin but if you want to know how Bitcoin suffer from bear market last time. I will tell you, it's not about the war but instead some FUD and hacking incident happened in the past plus, most people/investors at that time was easily influenced by the FUD. So, instead of holding they rather choose to dump since they were afraid that it might not get back thinking it's the tulip mania. It's still active around here those who believe that Bitcoin was like the tulip mania.

It's not that low compare to the price before, $38k is still a good one though we've seen the drop and maybe its because of the market sentiments. The war between Russia and Ukraine is still there, the FUD is still there and of course there's no enough buyers to push up the market which I think is pretty normal. There's a lot of reason actually, its hard to tell the exact reason but what I can see right now is that, this is a huge opportunity to buy again and if the price of Bitcoin drops again, don't hesitate to buy more.

Don't tell me if it's red, then it's low by your speculation.

Looking at the past 7 days, Bitcoin is already in a good spot regaining the price when it touched $33k mark few days ago and then it's slowly continuing to move forward by looking at the chart here.
But it doesn't mean it will stop there, there is something going on with ApeCoin and other metaverse stuff that makes lot impact to Bitcoin as of today.

The lowest Bitcoin value will not be predictable even in bear market conditions, determining the lowest value when it reaches the lowest point is not the true low because the market correction has the potential to sink deeper, I think to determine the lowest market you have to be patient when market conditions are stable and potentially to recover, then this is a better time to start analyzing the market potential than predicting the unreal based on speculation.

there are many reasons that make bitcoin down. but won't bitcoin price be bearish after going bullish. and I think technical analysis is the match. On the other hand, the FUD news that spread has resulted in investors continuing to withdraw their assets even though we have seen purchases in the market, so that currently bitcoin prices tend to go up and down in one area. and for now it is not clear whether the direction will be reversal or continue the decline before finally rising

I will support many comments about the price and the fact that it is not low, just look at the prices for the last five years.The advice as always will be the same: save it and as much as possible, no one knows and no one can accurately give you a forecast.

Lowest may not be known but it is predictable, prediction means we are assuming it will stop there but that doesn't mean that it has to stop there. We could have wrong predictions, that is the risky part of predicting something. I personally believe that it will stay above 38k and it will never drop under 38k ever again in history, just like most people think that it will never be 1k ever again and hasn't been in over 5 years, I believe the same for 38k.

Now this is a prediction, am I right? We do not know, maybe I am right or maybe my prediction is wrong but at the end of the day it is still called prediction and that is what we have to do.

We are already in the $38k+ level and going down is very possible to happen.

From how I see the markets in general,  bitcoin is showing alot of bearish momentum in it and sooner or later it will have to dip a little deeper to grab any liquidity sitting down there in the 30k range...once this move happens then going up will really not be a big issue.

There is nothing new to say about Bitcoin. There is no end to the curiosity of those who are new to the crypto world about Bitcoin. Bitcoin holders are constantly growing. More volatile ‍so price fluctuation is relatively high but it is in a normal process. There is no special reason here.

To go down to the price of $30 thousand, I don't think it will be possible because right now the price of bitcoin is still around $39 thousand, even if the price of bitcoin will go down again, it will slowly stop until it reaches $34 or $35 thousand, that's for sure.

But the Value of Bitcoin is always depending in the supply and demand meaning if there are many users/buyers then the price will increase and if not then there will be decrease .

Better to see CMC again before you are tryint to say that the price of bitcoin was so low. Each of bitcoin needs to be exchanged with 40k USD. that's very expensive these days. Bitcoin will be going even expensive in the upcoming years from now. Fear and panic sell happened in the nasdaq and stock market. This is also affecting bitcoin trend that was trying to go down again after a huge pump that happened last month.
The reasons probably unknown for now but so many predictions if we have been heading the bearish market since last year when bitcoin started to be dumped from 70k to the 40k. I think that this day bitcoin still remain the same as most unpredictable asset

Because in general, everyone is always difficult to make predictions when market conditions are not as stable as it is today.

It looks like Bitcoin had slightly recovered today.  Looking at the CMC it gains 0.62% from its closing price yesterday.  I think the market will go sideways fluctuating from the range 37k-39k but according to one of the TA analyst on trading view,

For a millionaire the price of $38k looks low, but for a common man this is a big price. If we compare to its ATH value, then the current price is low. With time there is variation and now it looks like recovering. Based on various predictions the market is supposed to drop low, when this is gonna happen isn't known. For that reason there is not much of buying and selling happening in the market which keeps the price move between ranges.

It is wrong to call that Bitcoin is So Low because the way i see it? the price is still higher if we will compared to the previous years in which the value stays at 4 digits value , now we are ,maintaining the 5 digits price and yes we will stay this High .
Bitcoin will at somehow take that dream 6 digits coin , in a year or 4? or at least 3 years from now.

There is always a period of decline in the market and it is a very natural thing to happen so there is no need to worry or panic because the bull market is always there after the decline period is over and that has happened in the past where after the bull there is always a bear, and vice versa.

This happened to me as well but in reverse. I told my friends that I invested into bitcoin way before 2017, it was around 2014 to 2015 period, and they were like "invested in what? what is that a game money?" and never cared about it.

When the 2017 came in, I took my profit out and wasn't in bitcoin anymore, and they were all like "this guy got super rich from bitcoin!! kudos!!" and I kept telling them that I didn't made any money that matters, sure lived a comfortable life thanks to it and wasn't poor but wasn't in any means wealthy person, nor even considered rich, just had no debt at that point which is a unique thing in our nation.

who told you that Bitcoin is "SO LOW"? where did you get that knowledge ? do you know how much the price of Bitcoin same Month last year? and same Month  back in 2018?

Yesterday Bitcoin was down below 38k and all altcoin was down much but today Bitcoin again spikes to 39k. This upside movement may be just fake pump because today is Inflation meeting also and we may say see very volatile movement in BTC. Everytime when this kind of meetings held we have seen very volatile movement and very risky for future and short term traders.

That was my impression on 1 May Sunday, I was hoping to see a reaction from the market after breaking support but even the small rally going on right now is not enough to test,,, so expect that we push back and bounce off that 40k resistance (no longer support).

30k is coming soon so brace yourselves :(

There's no need for reasons every time bitcoin creates a significant rise or price drops. That is how volatility works so we should always expect its highs and lows. And same with the other market, its value is also highly dependent on  its supply and demand. But even if we are seeing current low value of bitcoin, it will not stop there for sure, it will recover again and move forward. That's the myth of bitcoin, it will always recover no matter how deep its value at the moment.

It's disappointing Bitcoin's performance is currently falling in price, but we don't need to panic, because something like this has happened before.

Unfortunately it hasn't been doing great these days, keeps dropping more and more. However, that unfortunate situation could be turned into favor in the long run which is basically just focusing on making a profit in the long run if you buy right now. Just buy it as much as you can, and you will end up profiting when the price goes back up.

I know it is easier said than done, but I will do it some more today and I will hope that it does better in the future. Doesn't mean that we won't be having any more drops, we could have some more drops in the future but that just means that we need to wait even longer after that because even though it may drop, it will go up eventually.

I agree that there is rarely ever anything in the market that should be worrying us unless it is an unexpected very big drop. I must confess that there is a chance that we could end up with a drop that could scare even me, and I rarely ever get scared about it, but it does happen time to time. This means that we shouldn't really be focusing on the drop but the size of it.

Anything that is beyond 30% is fine for me, under it is literally just ignorable, over 30% would mean maybe I should buy some more and spend some money and force myself to make some profit. However, if it goes down to a level that is like 80% then I would be doing a bit worse.

At the end of the day, we will never know if there is a real drop or a fake drop, all we know right now is that it is there and we have to accept the downs and ups all together. Let's see what the fed will say and depending on that we will be seeing the real market.

I get that the drop is expected, because fed could increase the interest rate and when that happens there will be ton of people who will withdraw their money and put it in the interest, and even the ones who won't and live in another nation will end up making a decision based on that. But, we just need to wait and see what happens, we will not know until the decision is given and we see the market react.

We can never predict market and what is coming tomorrow - everyday new incidents either rise or drop the rate. Very risky thing we are into.

The decline of bitcoin is currently happening and this is due to many factors especially about the interest rate hike that the US central bank and this caused a great panic by many investors, this news is certainly very detrimental to all of us who are investing in some crypto coins and this increase in interest rates is the highest occurring this year, We expect this decline will not be long and the value of bitcoin and altcoins can increase again.

Bitcoin price is still uncertain and the direction still remain the same to be unpredictable. Im thinking about another drop will occur very soon when market is not even recovering again.
Buy altcoins look very risky at this moment but to be the best bet during the recovery phase.

For beginners I think it's natural for them to call the current drop at $30k the lowest price for bitcoin because maybe they didn't see on the charts the previous bitcoin lows in 2017 and 2018, talking about the causes of the bitcoin price drop so for now there are a lot of factors that affect the price of bitcoin, for example when there is negative news about bitcoin (FUD) reported by governments who hate bitcoin.

It's only major thing that was triggering a few crypto investors to swap their assets into the stable token or fiat money but i just wanna tell you that if terra luna has made the situation even worst. In my opinion that selling big chunks of bitcoin into the market was causing the price of bitcoin to drop drastically to the bottom. The pressure is still even continue. Bitcoin may so stable at the current price but not when do kwon will be dumping his bag again to the market.

I think at the moment the market is still convinced of Bitcoin, there is no change to that. Even Bukele has the option of increasing Elsalvador Bitcoin by 500BTC. Then Microstrategy even prepares a move to anticipate their margin call.

It is too easy to speculate badly when one of the stable coins cannot maintain its stability but not for USDT and BUSD. Since bad speculation has already been spread in the FUD news then all levels of traders cut losses due to being aware of high losses, of course they don't have to do that because after all the market will recover even though it takes time and support from the community.

Beginners can do a research about the price and they will figure out that there are much lower prices before than 30k but if we only talk about this year then maybe yes, 30k can be the lowest that we can get because the price seems to be stable now and there are small increases that we experienced earlier.

Don't forget the manipulation in the price. It can be one of the causes why the price didn't continue to rise as we expected it. Issues in regards to economics like inflation and others, might also affect the price of bitcoin. People should always verify if what they heard on the news is legit and they should not panic and sell in an instant because it can only make the situation more worse.

Is it the right time to buy dogecoin?
May be in coming years it reaches to the level of Bitcoin? But Musk is an influencer now and he will tighten his grip on market. I just want a sincere advice what to do at that time. Also I am not rich and have only a few savings. 

I am pretty sure that it was over 80% for sure. The peak was around 20k, and the bottom was around 3.4k, calculate how much that makes. It comes down to something closer to 83% drop between the difference of the peak and the bottom. So, I can clearly say that we are still doing fine right now.

I know people hate to hear this, people hate to hear that the market is "fine" right now because they lost so much money. They want to feel the pain that everyone feels right now so that they can share their pain as well, they are scared, they are fearing that they will not have any money, some of them already got out and want to hear you say that it will never recover. But the reality is that we are doing fine, and will do fine for the future as well.

Bitcoin is the only coin had huge demand all the time.The reason for this is very simple,it had 10 years of the trust on the market and people.When the price of bitcoin reached 19k dollars,huge people get into the market.But suddenly the price was reduced to the 10k dollars again.Then the investors was made huge investments.In 2020,the bitcoin price increased again.

I do not expect the ones that dropped 90%+ to recover to be fair. Has it been done in crypt before? Sure, even ETH dropped around 90%+ just few years ago, its peak was 1500 dollars whereas the bottom after that was 100 and lower, so could it recover? Yes.

But, none of these are second biggest coin and I do not think that they will recover that much. The ones that dropped about 50% will recover probably, that is not something crypto can't do, 2x is easier than people imagine, bitcoin was around 40k, and right now it is not even at 20k, which means that we need less than 2x to reach back to what it was and it could do that literally in just a few days.

Today? after experiencing a dump of up to $24k, Bitcoin has indeed lost a lot of marketcap, especially with the LUNA incident which took victims,

Something looks like bitcoin may not hold the level of 30k.I already want growth and good news, but as far as I understand, we will not hear them soon.I have already bought some altcoins at a good discount and am ready for a bull run.But something tells me that the whole summer will be so unstable.

As long as you are holding the top altcoins, you need not worry, the top altcoins will recover quickly when the bull market arrives. All is just speculation, we will not be able to rely on our own feelings to determine the market trend. When you bought altcoins at a good discount because you thought the market was going to go up but in the end it didn't and now you think it will go down maybe the market will do the opposite. The market always has surprises so please wait and be patient we will soon see the dear green again.

As an investor, we should keep in mind that the market is volatile and the bull run couldn't always last that long. The bearish season usually happens and it's the best season for accumulation. If you'll look at the price history of Bitcoin, you'll see how it developed and improved through the years. The market isn't in a good shape and we'll never know when it could hit a good situation again but during this season, fear couldn't save your assets especially if you're holding bitcoin. Patience will always be the key.

waiting for the bitcoin halving to arrive maybe there will be a quick recovery movement, most of us do situations where our assets are minus is to be patient with the passage of time either at any time we can wait 1 year or 2 years, on the other hand I agree with you if we buy top-ranked coins no need to worry about the bear's condition is happening, the coin already seems to have strong power to rise from new ATH in the future

First off bitcoins price is low just because of market cycles.  There is nothing wrong with bitcoin.  Second this is a board meant to discuss altcoins.  There is a bitcoin speculation section you might want to move this to.

I am not sure that this year there will be a Bullrun, although there are many possibilities that could still occur and other effects for the market, but I am still not sure that for this year there will be another Bullrun because many coins in the market are now just running in place and not have a move higher, that's what makes me less sure for Bullrun this year.
