Title: Likely sold/hacked account: cryptocoinex, u=663160, reg. date 2015
Post by: death_wish on May 10, 2022, 08:01:11 PM
While leaving an appropriate note (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=663160) that cryptocoinex is a bad person (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg60097150#post_cryptocoinex_is_a_bad_person), I noticed this:

Quote
This user's password was reset recently.

This user recently woke up from a long period of inactivity.

Newbie-rank account, registered in 2015 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=663160) with 5-year post gap 2017-2022.  Suddenly wakes up, resets its password, and starts throwing around agitprop... very suspicious.

I have no time for this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg60097287#msg60097287), so I will let someone else take it up.

Just a word of advice, waking up and password reset does not automatically mean the account was hacked or sold. Just check out seclog (https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php?all), there are hundreds of accounts that wake up or reset their passwords each day

I know it might have been a hard day for you and the user might have been so annoying but you might need more evidence to pin the user

Just wondering, who would want to buy a newbie account with little activity and no merits, yet they can simply just create one?

I don't think think that's appropriate feedback. First, your reference link is off-topic (kuddos for proper use of the Anchor though).
Someone's opinion on address reuse doesn't warrant negative feedback. See:
The system is for handling trade risk, not for flagging people for good/bad posts/personalities/ideas.

cryptocoinex is a bad person.
Generally, don't reuse addresses.
Nothing to hide (and you can`t find any information other than i have couple of bitcoins since 2014 on multiple address). Nothing illegal done with them.
You, personally, are scum worse than a criminal.

You are a cancer to Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and all that is good in this world.  You are the reason why decent people have no privacy, while criminals enjoy as much privacy as they want.  You are a mouthpiece spewing poisonous propaganda to benefit the worst criminals on Earth.
How did you go from cryptocoinex saying he has nothing to hide to the worst criminals benefiting from him? Many people (including myself) have posted different addresses on Bitcointalk, that's okay. Many people say they have nothing to hide, which I'm sure is incorrect. Everyone has things they prefer to keep private. Don't take it too literal.

That's all great advice, but I have a feeling this wallposting "newbie" has been around long enough to know better.   ;)

And this is the 2nd newbie or at-least lower rank member from I have visited 4 topics so far, who is not with the forum from long time seems to know all the features or the forum even know how to spot alt accounts. Looks like we have bunches of newbie know better than the old timers who are here form years about what is happening recently in the forum LOL
