Hi, I'm new to bitcointalk.
I'm only 15 years old and I'm Brazilian, I want to know which is the best long-term investment.

for the next bitcoin halving ???

First of all, welcome, Thiagofelipe! I hope you find the time to stay here and give some inputs or outputs here in the forum and, of course, use the search bar before anything else; maybe there are topics similar to your inquiries.

Anyway, I don't think age and your race would be a factor in having the long-term investment. You should have in mind why you are doing it in the first place and what plans you would have when you are older. I admire young people trying to think about their future immediately and people like you, who have this in their mind to be successful.

As for the Bitcoin halving, it's still best to get all the BTC that you can and make it your investment in the long run. As someone who believes in BTC, I'm biased towards it, but I think it is for good reasons.

Sorry for being harsh here, but why invest if you're not willing to do the work and make the decisions yourself?

But just to answer your question, the next halving is like 2 years away. A huge majority of coins and tokens in the cryptocurrency space have the tendency to be fleeting — where 'good' coins/tokens to buy today will be totally different in just a few months; hence why it's really difficult to say what the good buys will be outside BTC. 2 years is like 20 years in the cryptocurrency space.

You can go for bitcoin. After halving, all-time-high is possible.

You can go for some altcoins, but they are more volatile, have low marketcap, more risky and can be like gambling especially during bear market time which can lead to significant loss. What makes me dislike altcoin is because most of them will fall and never reach all-time-high.

But there is nothing not good to invest like 70% of your coins on bitcoin while 30% on altcoins.

Avoid shit coins, go for high marketcap altcoins if you want to go for altcoins. Most altcoins are shit coins.

As crwth posted, read 99% and ask 1%. Read as much as possible and discover first, then you have really good, really specific questions to ask.

The simplest way meanwhile also I agree with crwth. Buy every time, regularly, with as much money as you can. This is called DCA (you can look it up) and it the best way to get Bitcoin without spending time and resources.

Hi, at your age I'm impressed that you're doing the right thing by asking the right question as you have the idea of the upcoming bitcoin halving 2 years from now.
There's no other better investment than what you've said and that is with bitcoin. Two years from now, you know what's about to happen and while it's still not yet there, you can buy and choose the dollar cost average strategy until you accumulate that much.

You have started early and pretty good, but it's not us who have to answer this question, it's you, since it's your money we're talking about and we cannot foresee the future.

We do trust bitcoin, also the history has shown that for long terms (4+ years) it tends to be a good investment, even if it may be falling badly now and then. It's a bitcoin forum after all.

If you are legally eligible to trade cryptos then you are welcome to the crypto world.

Regarding your question ,if you are interested for long term, then buying BTC will be a wise decision at the moment.

You are 15 years old,so I don't think that the big crypto exchanges would be an option for you,obviously because of the KYC verification.
Where are you going to buy crypto,since almost all crypto traders and crypto trading platforms would require ID verification,in order to for you purchase cryptocurrencies?Do you really have any fiat money to invest?I would recommend you to stay away from any unregulated crypto exchanges and crypto traders,who claim that they would sell you any coins.There are scammers waiting for young victims like you.
The best investment for the next halving is obviously Bitcoin Core,but I don't know how are you going to buy BTC.Altcoins are just a waste of money and time,if you ask me.

I mean if you're basing it on the next Bitcoin halving, then I reckon it itself would be the best option? I'm kinda biased here ofc, but Bitcoin halvings have historically been times when the Bitcoin market has been rather positive, so yea go with Bitcoin. Though that is if you're going to invest now ofc, instead of on the date of the halving itself.

Outside of BTC though, then that's a bit more difficult. The span of time between now and the halving is still 2 years, there's going to be a LOT of coins coming in and out. You can probably profit off of some of them in the short term if you play it right, but that's like a lottery imo. I'd probably just DCA in Bitcoin tbh, rather than finding some coins to short.

Meanwhile other valuable coins are there in top rating in CMC, you can make a check for yourself.

Although that we are not financial or investment advisors here, Bitcoin is likely the top choice for us to buy and hold until the next halving. As you can see in the previous halving, BTC did pumped a lot and it’s likely going to do that again because it increases the difficulty of the miners to mine a certain amount of BTC.

I just made a conclusion for myself that for the long term BTC is the main asset for me, which occupies about 80% of my long term investment portfolio

It is about 2 years before the next halving occurs. The best long-term investment is always bitcoin. It is inevitably everlasting, it has gained a lot of reputation years by years and many investors have considered bitcoin as a safe haven for their capital. Many expect that bitcoin will surpass $100000 in the next 4 year cycle and I believe it is capable.

If you feel that investing in only one asset is not interesting enough, expanding your knowledge of the cryptocurrency will give your more power to spot valuable altcoins and blockchain-based projects. During the uptrend, many coins did x10 to x100 in a short period of time. However, making a wrong decision can vanish your investment. It's all about the stability of the investment that you're about to buy and bitcoin is the choice that a newbie can make. Not just because of it being the king of the market.

But fundamentally and economically, bitcoin stands as the best of them all. No debates but only proof of the market's existence ever since.

I think he is trying to say you should start the investment in yourself. Read as much as u can in this forum, get on twitter and follow as much influencers and group on it. Learn the idea of trading on both decentralized and centralized exchange. Learn how to open wallet and keep it safe. As u start getting fund buy reliable stable coin not the algorithm stable coin in your wallet. You can decide when to start buying the market in less than 2 years. Before then you might to know about investment in crowdsale etc

Your age is not a disadvantage but an advantage, the sooner you begin your investing career the sooner you will reap the benefits, now most likely the problem in your case will be the size of your capital and how much you will be able to obtain during the next years, so when I take all of that into account I think it is better for you to take the safest path and just invest in bitcoin instead of trying your luck with altcoins, since you have no way to know which altcoins will survive during the next years.

Wow! Impressive!!! At age 15 and your already thinking of investing in the crypto field, that's something that doesn't come around everyday. I mean, teens going about the teenage things, trying to stay top, best everyone and buy stuffs that makes them look cool but, think of a crypto investment and following up on the bitcoin halving is out of it.

Anyway, welcome and just to kite, there is a popular rule amongst investors and gamblers that goes, "invest only what you can afford to loose or spare cash". Do that and your safe enough on all your investment and safe here deonst mean you can't encounter loss but, you can handle it.

Bitcoin? I mean why would you want to make it confusing. If you are 15 years old, and let's assume you retire at 65, and the rest is irrelevant if you do not want to, then we are talking about 50 years of working and investing.

If you do just bitcoin and nothing else, sure there will be some other coins that go up and down, but you can ignore it when you have that much time. Your age is to your advantage, I am much older than you and do not have the same time as you do, and still do long term bitcoin holding. Just work hard in your regular life, earn a salary, and put even the tiniest about you could, for 50 years, by the time you are 65, you could literally live off that much money.

It was a short period of time good thing to buy UST as imagined, it is pegged to 1 dollar and everyone lost hope about that so much that the price dropped to 30 cents for a while, so it was a good buy at that level but how would we know that it would survive? At the end of the day it did, but there was no guarantee that it would, which is why I totally understand people who didn't.

Real answer is definitely bitcoin I agree with everyone, its such a good coin and it does provide great returns to people and everyone should be buying as much as they possibly can without hurting their finances too much.

The best long term investment is bitcoin for you as you are young and have lot of years to actually cash out your returns so this is best for you.Above it you can get more btc at this time during the dip and you don't need to fear it like others or get away with all the FUD at this time.You can go with DCA investment in bitcoin holding long term and you will get good returns.

It's encouraging to see young ones having the desire to grow in such a way. But this investment and growth in the crypto market doesn't come by easily. It means you'd have to put in some work even after knowing or deciding which to invest in. I would say bitcoin is the best but then one has to be able to afford it. You need to know how the market works and understand the statistics. But at the same time there are alt coins you can go for as well that are much more affordable and can turn out to be very much profitable, be it long or short.

If I may suggest don't leave Bitcoin, ETH and BNB, I don't believe in other types of crypto, even though some people think it's good, it's their choice.

Talking about halving, of course the phenomenon only focuses on Bitcoin, if you want to invest for a certain time in the next 2-3 years, I'd prefer if you do it on the 3 types of crypto that I mentioned above.

What I don't understand is why you're looking another coins on Bitcoin event? That's like you're going to KFC but you're ordered a burger, there's nothing wrong, but KFC main dish is fried chicken... not burger.

The answer is Bitcoin, I don't see any coins have performed better than Bitcoin in the long term until now. Even there are so many altcoins listed on coinmarketcap or coingecko, currently we have around 19,000+ crypto, but Bitcoin's dominance is still higher than other 18,999+ crypto.

Being young you should be very cautious while investing your money. Most probably your money is from either your pocket money or may be part time job if you doing so.

Well halving usually makes crypto towards bearish trend for some reason, may be miners start booking their profits as they know rewards will be halved as well. However, this is the time when one should be buying a lot.

Welcome to the crypto space  brother! For you my advice it to study first different things in crypto. You may check binance, I know they have the tutorial for beginners. Then by doing that you will be given little idea about trading, then try to watch for more strategies on YouTube, then apply it by trading little by little. Don't ask for what is the best coin or token to invested with, but of course you don't need to doubt bitcoin.

If you're lazy enough to do some research on what you will choose, go for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the safest coin to buy that suits beginners that wants to make profit in long term investment. Just install an app that will trigger an alarm once Bitcoin hit the specific price you want to sell it. It might take some time before that happens but it's worth the wait.

Being young means that they do not have to risk it, because they have a lot of time to get rich, but at the same time you are a dreamer when you are that young as well, he needs to find that right balance. Well, you answered your own question... The best long-term investment, I will dare say the safest compared with all others, is BTC! For the next Bitcoin halving, the only thing we can do is stack more sats! You can earn some, if you are investing it's good to buy some dips, like now... but not with the whole amount, wait, maybe it will drop more so you can buy more... in that way you can get more sats for the same money! I am saying that cause I think we will have a turbulent period! It was like that before, and believe it will be the same again, the next two years will be full of up and downs, and I am sure we didn't touch the bottom yet!

This, there have been some studies about this in the past and what was found is that an early and easy retirement had less to do with how much you earned and it had to do more with how much you saved, invested and how early you began, someone that can begin their journey at 15 years old and invest in bitcoin for decades will most likely do great and have an easy retirement, so there is no need to try invest in other altcoins when something like what is happening with luna could happen to you and you could lose decades worth of savings in just a few days.

So it is a safe place to invest BTC because of halving which is expected that it will have a huge impact on the price, we have been proved this for how many years, every halving come BTC price increase massively. Therefore, the best for the long term is no other than aside from BTC. Why we choose altcoin if we don't know them, especially if they also follow the BTC price trend.

No offense, I personally will always prefer to choose Bitcoin as the first choice Yes, Bitcoin will commonly have a high increase after the havling. That is why Bitcoin is the best investment in my opinion. After that, I think I am going to BNB or ETH, but not for the other altcoins.
However, one that should awlays remember dude, you are still 15 YO and you must be aware enough with the risk of crypto investment.
If you are ready with the risk, just do it but always keep searching and analyzing the crypto market. Nothingis easy here. Invest wisely

There's no need to ask of what crypto currency is best to invest in the next halving because Bitcoin is the only one that does halving and make a bull run after that. So you definitely gonna choose Bitcoin over altcoins here, and if you have enough money to buy during this dip congratulations as long as you know how to hodl them for a long term investment. You know the next halving will be happening in the next two years from now and a little more months before the pump. I hope you could focus on holding at that time for too long since it always takes some patience to do it without panic selling.

OP, my candid advice to you is to wait for the bear to subside. From the prism I see things, I believe the bear isn't anywhere close to ending. The next Bitcoin halving is in 2014. I've noticed a pattern that Bitcoin always dips further a year before the halving and then skyrockets a year after the halving. In essence, it will be better to wait out this 2022 and then buy in the last quarters of 2023 for a haul.

The best investment in next halving? Definitely it’s bitcoin. It’s gonna be bitcoin which will be hampered in terms of pricing. Unfortunately its bad for miners as reward gets dropped by half and they have to either tackle the halved rewards and profitability or increase the mining power. These are some of the reasons which makes price go down but for us it’s opportunity to buy more. Don’t know, we are already way down so I don’t really think we need to await halving period. If you wanna profit then buy now and book the profits.

I'd appreciate you at that young age you already have an interest in the crypto investment and apparently a good time to start either.

To buy good projects seems to be the best deal in the current situation. Bitcoin of course is one at the top of my list, however, considering potential altcoins is also a great idea. I think you need to start filling your bags now.

Increasingly, it seems to me that there are no better investment options than real estate, precious metals and knowledge.

Btw, for me, the most recommended crypto to buy for the next halvingwill be Bitcoin only. This  is volatile, but so far, this is the most recommened, worthiest, and also most promising. Although it doesn't guarantee 100%, Bitcoin has that experinece after halving to rise up

More number of young people are getting into the market. It was once the market for the people around the range of 35, further it got lowered around 20 and now very young people are getting into the market. For now it is good for these guys to learn and do the investment than going with someone's suggetion. Though bitcoin halves every four years (every 210 blocks mined to be precise), but the next halving is just not more than 2 years from now, let us expect the next bitcoin halving to be in 2024 and it would be early 2024.

Most amazing with you OP because still 15 years old have ideas and good decision investment for the future on cryptocurrency, I don't know what have I did trough 15 years old. Maybe play with my friend and still do not know about investment assets between cryptocurrency or other kind of investing. Maybe I can give you way with cryptocurrency trading for the future by investing on top potential coin, invest on BNB, ETH and BTC only as long term investment and you can get much profit later when you pass school or have 20 years old. Hello Brazilian I am very happy to see you here. You choice is very good and definitely you can invest in Bitcoin to get good returns.  Bitcoin next halving is in 2024 and it's it's very near. It's right time to invest in Bitcoin because Bitcoin is already 50% down from ATH.  You can invest in Bitcoin in different parts to get a massive amount of profit.

Just think about which coin would probably survive along with this bear market and choose the coins that we know it will surely pump during the halving.

Idea maybe but extra money? Not really, because you can just divide the money that supposed to go only for btc, if what you want is to have a diverse portfolio. Altcoins are cheaper than in btc and you will only need to invest a small portion of them because alts can be riskier than in btc. Btc is still going to be our main investment here.

There is no such thing as 100% guarantee here in cryptos because cryptos are volatile and unpredictable. Even btc that is considered to be the safest coin still cant guarantee that it can give you your desired profit because bears or corrections can come unexpectedly but you will be fine as long as you don't rattle.

I agree, among all tokens and coins If I will be asked what will be the best investment for the next halving? it could be bitcoin or eth.
