Outline of this project
For the sake of simplicity I started building an excel spreadsheet to view the current fluctuations on the market. With this tool it is also possible to check the total value of all your altcoins that are listed on Mintpal/Cryptsy/Bittrex.

The best thing about this? It updates on a certain interval that is set. You do not have to refresh it manually or enter the values yourself. The spreadsheet will do all the work itself and keeps working when new markets are being added. If you are interested please PM and show your love in the comments. There will be updates very shortly.

Functionalities (way more to come)

• Track all your trades on Mintpal - Cryptsy - Bittrex
• Updates every minute. You can change the update interval yourself.
• Visualizations of the most important data: Volume charts - 24h change graph.
• Arbitraging opportunities: conditional formatting is applied.
• Hyperlinks: for offering easy acces to every market on Mintpal - Cryptsy - Bittrex.
• Dropdown lists are implemented and when double clicking on such a list a combo box will pop up. This will autocomplete on input.

• Any version of Windows that supports Excel 2010/2013
• Excel 2010/2013 Pro

The updates are directly send to your email. These will be provided almost every other day and are free of charge. If you have any problems or questions I will help you!

The price will be updated every time there is a new version.

Well, the short answer is no. I already finished building the sheet for cryptorush though and I have the following screenshot as proof:

 JAVA is a BAD idea. Java + alt-coins + Exchange = REALLY bad idea! LOL There's a reason why NONE of the top alt-coin exchanges require it and I wouldn't use one that does!

The only thing stored in the application that is valuable is the api key. It wont be able to withdraw funds with that.

No, everybody only pays once and gets the whole package. The price will be adjusted though every update.

I havent tried that yet. To be honest Libreoffice kinda sucks doesnt have the features like VBA, so probably it wont work.

Busy now with Bittrex. You guys will love this, especially those who already bought it!

On the next update you can do the following:

* Check live balances on Bittrex.
* Check prices on Bittrex.
* Live arbitraging opportunities will be marked between Mintpal and Bittrex.
* Design will be updated a bit!

Will this work seamlessly with the Excel Webapp for live updates or would you have to use the Desktop version of Excel for this. If so I'll buy a copy for 0.05

You can now see how much you are gaining/losing on every altcoin listed on mintpal. The API of bittrex is being changed as we speak by the owner of that exchange to be used on this spreadsheet.

Next update will implement arbitrage system and fixing any bugs that appear.

This spreadsheet is sort of a like a mash up: You will see data from all kinds of exchanges when Im done developing. Check out the video of version 2 in the OP.

For now this an excellent tool to calculate your gains or losses. In a weeks time I will have made a lot of progress on the spreadsheet and the program.

You still need to go to the websites for now, but I can add direct links to thr market. For bittrex, the plan is to have auto trading enabled through the spreadsheet.

That said, I just dont think right now it will help me trade too much...I like to focus on one or two coins so its a little too much info overload for me right now.

Yes, it should, but a mac user told me data refreshing was giving him problems.

The program that Im going to build will eventually work on all platforms, including mac.

I bought this, it's still in the developing phase.  I imagine price will keep going up so it is worth to get it now.  After a couple more updates I can tell this thing is going to be pretty freakin sweet.  I can picture a tab for each exchange and then a tab that compares them all.

Would definitely love the addition of Cryptsy.  Mintpal is my fav of course, but Cryptsy is also very trustworthy and has a lot of volume.  Would also like to see CryptoRush only if it's already made of course, even though they are dead and untrustworthy now, it could be beneficial at the moment for reasons I sent ya in the email.  :D  Poloniex and Bter would also be good additions.

This spread sheet is fucking amazing.  I can't even begin to say how awesome it is to have all of this information available at a glance.  Not needing to swap between tabs, scroll up, scroll down, do math rinse and repeat has made trading so much less stressful.  The data is there when I need it FAST.  And the instances when I need data fast is usually when I'm making the BIG trades.  That's probably my favorite thing about this spreadsheet. 

Happen to notice AUR is rising quick? A smart trader starts to think; "pump n dump or natural?", "what's the volume like?", "what's the spread between ask and buy?", "whats the 24h high/low?".  Now certainly you can get this information eventually by looking all over the exchange website.  Or you can glance at this sheet and KNOW in <2 seconds.  The speed and simplicity of the data layout is a thing of beauty that can only be appreciated once you've moved on from using just the website

Honestly, I don't even want to write this review.  If the dev wasn't such a nice, helpful guy, I wouldn't.  Not because it's a bad product but because I GENUINELY DON'T WANT EVERYONE ELSE TO GET IT AND ME LOSE MY ADVANTAGE.  That's some real truth right there.

And I haven't even gone into the fact that this is still being developed and added to.  Or the upcoming addition of arbitrage tracking.  Or the recently added trade tracking.  Or the addition of Bittrex data.  Or the fact that the dev offers support for his product.  Or that he listens to actively asks for advice about changes and additions.  No, this is an amazing deal BEFORE all of that.  With all of these extra factors considered, this is the best thing available for someone who's actively trading on these exchanges.  Without this spreadsheet, you ARE at a disadvantage.

Which is ok with me.  Really.

Well, that's enough for now, just made another 10% on AUR and need to set up new buy orders.

Would you like me to more actively develop the upcoming trading application or the spreadsheet?

It may be more useful to put my time into the actual application, since the spreadsheet is limited to excel 2010/2013, while the application is for all platforms.

Let's hear some more feedback before I make some decisions.

Live arbitraging will be added anyway, either in the spreadsheet or in the application.

Guy i wanted to add, this sheet really is something great - i was lucky to get it at the start price - and after seeing his plans, and the fact you get all updates for free, really makes it worth the very small amount of money he is asking.

• Mintpal Auto Trader - not really suitable, since it will cover more than only Mintpal

Changes:

• Sound plays when you're making a profit/loss or if your investment breaks even. Place the sound.wav file in the same directory as the spreadsheet, else it will use window's default notification. If you don't like this sound playing all the time you can either shut excel's sound down in the volume mixer or just remove the coding in the VBA.
• BTC/LTC markets are now more clearly defined and their corresponding volumes are set apart.

It's good but it needs another big exchange in it for comparison.  I found I haven't really been using it as of yet.  It would be cool if it knew all your balances too.

thanks for your quick response and sending the spreadsheet.
Everything works fine, thanks. I'd like to ask though:
1. Could you please also add Bid/Ask for Cryptsy - so far I can only see last trades and having Bid/Ask data would I'm sure be very helpful to many people
2. On the Mintpal list I can see that some pairs change position - when people do additional calculations with the data it would be easier to do if they didn't change cells
3. Also I have a suggestion regarding the trading platfom. A big part of retail, specifically spot forex trading is done on Metatrader platform. If you could connect major crypto exchanges into the platform in a way where all of its features and trading would work it would be a big deal and I'm sure you'd sell a lot.  Basically why would you create your own trading platform when you can use something the industry is used to, it's finished and you just need to work out the connections to exchanges.

These two are big ones for me as well.  The Ask/Buy has been indispensable in my trading and the data moving between rows has been a massive headache for pulling the data for other calculations.

Regardless, this Spreadsheet has been a godsend.

The spreadsheet looks great and I appreciate all the development work you are putting into it, but is there a workaround for the requirement of installing power query as you cannot install it on the home version of excel?

I spent over £100 buying the cheapest version of the latest office, only to find out I cant use spreadsheet  :(

I'm certainly no programmer, so there may be no other option than to obtain a copy of excel professional, but I just wonder if there's any thing you can do?

This is actually a very good idea which I have not yet implemented. I could do so pretty easily since the spreadsheet already has a trades tab.

Great job man!!  Doing really good.  The spreadsheet is awesome :D  I was completely enveloped in the blackcoin madness the past few days so I wasn't around much.  Will check it out much better today.  This spreadsheet is Absolutely worth the money.  Can't wait to see what you have in store for the trading app.  That is going be a lifesaver.

I have this exact same issue.  I signed up for Office 365 only to find out Power Query doesn't work with it and I have to get Office 2010 or 2013 Professional Plus.  Is there a workaround for this before I have to shell out $150 or so?

You have to wait for the trading program, I guess. It will offer everything this spreadsheet offers and much more.

Can a mac user share their experience?

i was one of the first to buy the sheet, and i am a mac user - i was unable to get it to work fully on mac as there was an issue getting the live updates - but not being terribly clued up i gave up and use it on windows machines now.

However i know that HDpixels app when released will work on all platforms.... including Mac. so if you are prepared to wait i would buy it now, as the price will go up no doubt... and if you have a windows device you can use that in the mean time

how can i change the refresh rate? and how can i refresh manually? and the buy and sell in the arbitrage should be switched around

1) Open Microsoft Excel workbook.
2) Unhide each query tab.
3) Click the 'Data' tab. (The 'Data' tab appears.)
4) From the 'Manage Connections' group, click the 'Refresh All' drop-down list and select 'Connection Properties'. (The 'Connection Properties' dialog box appears.)

Motivate your statement please. It takes a lot of work just to switch buy and sell.

Will the program have conditional orders? (buy/sell IF, where the if condition could be the price above/beyond a certain threshold or percentage, or maybe if the volume increase/decrease).

Simply select a random cell in the query result and look at the tab popping up on the right. You'll see a refresh icon. Just click on that.

It's hard to say when Im going to release Tradehub.

Im in discussion now with the creator of Poloniex, because their API responses are really slow and won't help anyone using Tradehub.

Spreadsheet will no longer be for sale, since it's completely useless... due to some bugs.

Still trying to fix this.

I have already concluded the following things:

- Mintpal's api doesn't work for the spreadsheet, because it thinks the spreadsheet is DDOS'ing it  >:(.
- Poloniex's api is very inconsistent with the data connection.
- Arbitrage doesn't work because it's dependent on those two api's.

i suppose we wont get a refund.. i never use it
