Title: Tending to cryptocurrency.
Post by: Queentoshi on May 26, 2022, 01:14:05 PM
I work in a men- dominated office. I dread going to work everyday because I have to face my male colleagues who think because I am a woman, all I need to do is to sit and look pretty.

In my work place, I have a lot of Negative attitude directed towards me from the men, and even though I'm qualified, I have been denied promotion opportunities twice. I have been sexually Harassed by my direct supervisor and boss. The HR has refused to carry out an investigation despite my complaints.

I have a plan to quit my job soon, but getting a new job with this pay is very difficult (I was out of a job for about four years), Hence my motivation for taking cryptocurrency learning more seriously to be able to earn me some level of financial and life freedom.

As a newbie in the space, I'm interested in knowing what your motivation is and why you are taking cryptocurrency learning seriously?

What are these men who have a negative attitude towards women? Are you sure it's definitely men?

In addition, speaking seriously, there are more motivational posts every day.

But in your first introduction, I saw that you are somewhat familiar with cryptocurrencies. For any person, be it a woman or a man, additional education and constant growth always give only pluses.

We must keep up with the times; otherwise, without developing, you can remain in the Stone Age, where the whole face of a woman is to give birth and raise children.

Do not rate yourself so low. If you are attracted to something modern, feel free to study, and do not let yourself be humiliated. Learning and investing in cryptocurrencies entitles you to become financially independent. After all, sooner or later, most of the world will be in the digital industry. And you can always be in demand by learning all the intricacies of the cryptocurrency market.

The vast majority are here to make more money. There might be a few that have already achieved enough wealth, and want to contribute to a system, which could potentially either replace our current broken system or be the foundation, and inspiration from future cryptocurrencies. Although, I would say they're thin, and far between.

Ultimately though, Bitcoin allows you not only remove the requirement for any third party, but it also allows you to work remotely much of the time. Especially if trading, but also a lot of what Bitcoin offers is global transactions, without the risk of chargebacks like fiat currencies. So, some will be here to avoid those issues, especially if they can do their job without working for a company, and offer it online.

I'm not surprised if you get a discrimination because you're different among all colleagues especially you're live in a country where the tolerance rate is really bad. I wouldn't comment about it, it's up to you to continue or quit your job, but you need to think how you can earn money without your current job. If you want to make trading as your primary source, you need to make sure you're already good with it. I doubt a newbie can do it for short time learning.

Sorry to burst your bubble and not to discourage you — but chances are, crypto isn't going to make you rich. Unless your goal is to be a good trader, investing in general is mostly not what's going to break you out of poverty(or financial problems in general); having a good job or having a business with good cashflow will.

It's hard to be a beginner in any business, and it's impossible to know if it's your business or not, if you aspire and want to become a trader, that's always commendable. At the moment there are a lot of manuals, video channels and conferences from professionals who share their knowledge both for free and for a fee to teach - individually! So go for it!

I feel you and I experienced this before.
Quitting your job is a very simple answer, if there's discrimination that will happen and if you're not happy with your colleagues then, find another job that suits what you want.  We should have a stable job, and a stable source of income because in crypto there's no guarantee that we can able to manage this, plus another factor, is you have a source for your capital upon investment or crypto trading.

Crypto isn't the answer to the financial freedom that you're looking for, the possible profit is too volatile the same as the price of the crypto, and there's no assurance of making you rich.  If you have enough capital, find assets that generate profit, that way, you can stop your work.  But crypto alone will not solve your problem.

Sorry but I discourage you not to do this, just invest in crypto while you're at work, for the long term much better.

Depends entirely what you can offering. If you can do your job, but accept Bitcoin, i.e development work. You could very well be in a better situation to escape inflation. So, while your advice is good, since it probably does apply to most people that are working for other people, if you can work for yourself using your skills, and transfer them to Bitcoin, I'd say you have a better chance of escaping the rat race, due to that inflation.

So, while it still might not make you rich, you're right. You could be in a better position than you were using fiat. Obviously, its not a guarantee as with anything in life.

I didn't get your point, I think if the @OP has a good skills to become a freelancer, she wouldn't struggle in his current position since she would just quit her jobs and focus on freelance. It doesn't matter she got paid with Bitcoin or fiat, as long as she got paid, then she can live by freelancing. Some people also don't want to get paid in Bitcoin, El Salvador citizens are the example.

Yea precisely — bitcoin(or any good asset investments in general) should give you a decent boost with your wealth assuming you picked good assets; but they're not what's necessarily going to make you rich. I always make this clear as a lot of people are just betting that bitcoin/crypto is their only way out of poverty/hardships.

First of all, I'm really sorry your male colleagues are not treating you properly. (Seriously, that happens all the time these days. It sucks.)

Now about cryptocurrencies:

Cryptos by themselves are not going to sustain for you an income source, particularly if you just buy and hold. You'd need an actual job which (i) pays you out in cryptocurrencies and (ii) lets you work remotely [otherwise the above will most likely repeat itself in the new workplace].

(ii) is more straightforward to get done than (i). I've noticed that companies paying in crypto usually don't respond to application emails, to my disappointment.

Alternatively, if you can draw or create art, you could make images or video and sell those as NFTs on OpenSea or the like.

Whatever decisions you make at your workplace, it's all fair to you, considering the negative things that happened to you, harassment and so on.

There are many things that need to be learned about the crypto world, it can be said that it is endless if we want to learn it, For now, crypto has entered the global arena, from villages to cities, from ordinary people to intellectuals.

Of course, if you are interested in learning crypto, take a look below, at least it can provide knowledge.

First you should re-evaluate how contributive your services is to the growth of your organization because even if you switch to a new job if your services is not of a substantial value you could still face similar promotion denial or harassment. The current society press toward value added services even in crypto you will still have to devote time to study the market else you will still find it difficult making it in the crypto world

About crypto, of course, there are many things that motivate us to keep learning and learning. Its main purpose may be because cryptocurrencies are valuable and potential assets to own, trade and invest in. But if your motivation is to leave work to focus on crypto, then I think you're really to get in trouble at first.

You may be able to take advantage of market fluctuations to profit from trades, that's never a bad thing. But it's not always profitable especially if you don't understand how it works. So study and find a good interest for yourself in crypto, but try to have a real job too because we never know about the future.

As a newbie in the space, I'm interested in knowing what your motivation is and why you are taking cryptocurrency learning seriously?

Here is my story.....

I am a secondary school dropout, and my dropping out of school isn't because I wanted to, but it was due to circumstances of life, initially, I wanted to work to enable me raise money for my school fees and other fees involved with schooling and also to take care of my parents and my younger ones, but it didn't work out because at some point, I had to make a decision of either staying in school or leaving school to focus on work, there was no way to stay in school without money, and to get money, I needed to work, so eventually, I gave up school and focused on work, I did all sorts of menial jobs, I did alot of street and traffic hawking, I worked in different factories, life was hard until I found and got into crypto in 2016.

Long story short, I learnt how to invest and trade in crypto, I committed myself to it and by 2018, I had the option of whether to keep working in the factory or quit and start my own business, the factory job was a 6 to 7 and Sunday to Sunday job, it was super stressful and each morning I wake up and remember I have to go to work, I dread and regret my birth, it was hell on earth.
So when the chance for me to quit the factory job came, I grabbed it with both hands, I quit and started my own business with money gotten from crypto...
Crypto has really turned my life around, today, I no longer work for anybody, I no longer hawk or do menial jobs, am a secondary school dropout but I earn money more than most graduates in my country, this is what God did for me through cryptocurrency.

Please note: This is not to encourage anyone to drop their schooling and focus on crypto, grace differs, if you have the opportunity of going to school without having to worry about money issues, please take your study very seriously, I personally still regret not having the opportunity to finish my schooling.

I once thought about leaving my job and maximizing the opportunity to 100% focus on the crypto world. Perhaps this idea would be greatly supported if we actually had a way of making 12x more crypto than our monthly salary at a real job. I used to think that mining might help but in the end I had to go to work "for one reason or another" even though right now I can make a few dollars in the crypto space including trading.

The crypto world is full of hope and sometimes it can never work in your favor. There are many things you should consider before leaving your actual job, but it can be difficult to decipher them all because each of us has a different opinion. My advice for you is to work where people respect you, the world of cryptocurrency can enter on the sidelines of your busy life later.

My story goes back to around 2016. I recently graduated as an associate in information technology (only 2 years in college). After I graduated, the job was really difficult and I couldn't help my parents with house expenses or debts while I was in college. At that time, I was also searching for an online job, but after a year, I still haven't found it. Then I came across Bitcoin, and you know, the price was too low at the time, and you could earn decent money on it based on my online friends who are currently earning money on it, so I started learning it, mostly for bitcoin, and all my efforts were rewarded. I am starting to earn some money and I would say it is a decent one.

Our life before was really really poor. We were struggling to pay the electric bill and for fast foods or restaurants. Until I graduated, I hadn't tasted it using our own money since birth because it was really expensive to buy. This is really my motivation to learn crypto to make decent money and that could help my life too.

Before anything else, sexual harassment is a crime. Gather solid evidence and file a case against your direct supervisor and boss. Is it or or and? I mean, were you harassed by one or two men? It would make your case stronger if you're not the only person who suffered this. If I were you, I'd quit my job!

As regards financial freedom that is normally attached to Bitcoin, I'm afraid it is almost always misunderstood. This is only my personal understanding, of course. I don't think financial freedom here is to be understood in such a way that you don't have to get employment anymore because you are already into Bitcoin. In other words, this is not, or at least less, about money or income. I think financial freedom here means getting away from the shackles of the traditional financial system. I think the proverbial financial freedom that Bitcoin gives us is more of the freedom from banks and the government rather than the freedom from having less or no money.

Stories about men in the work space(office) with a presumed negative attitude you is or maybe due to the fact that you probably look way more attractive and beautiful than they could comprehend. It is quite a thing these days where in a male dominated office, a lady is often seen as an easy prey, but with a hard evidence against any harrasment coming your way, the persons involved can be dealt with. Not all men are same, there must be one who fancies your carriage and would come to your defense if need be...but what do i know...

As regards cryptocurrency however, i dont have much experience in this area, but i do think that it is not a one way ticket to financial freedom. The healthy thing i do is much as possible learn about whatever topic of interest i think is worth learning and pay close attention to trending news as regards that crypto subject. While working at a job that doesn't satisfy my bank balance or mental stance, i invest during my free time on getting ahead with other crypto options to better my chance of increasing my income while understanding how to get the best out of it. You however don't need to be told if to quit your job or carry on, but one thing i know is this, if your instinct nudges you to look ahead and explore other options, hell, why not? This life is too short to be conditioned to give up mental sanity or morals just to please someone who thinks he is doing one a favour by paying you a stipend for your time while making you feel less or under subjugation to harrasment.

It's ironic to hear your story about sexual harassment, sorry to be honest. but if I was in your position then I would take the option of breaking the bond of work at the company you work for.
Also, what I can tell you is to try to run a business in the real world, then adjust it to the capital you have and not just rely on crypto investments. I'm not forbidding you if you plan to crypto investing, it's just that, keep in mind that investing carries a high risk considering that you are new to cryptocurrencies, right? so it's very easy to lose if you can't manage your finances well.

My little story: Initially I also did not come from a wealthy family. but I have the determination to learn business, not monotonous and try to change my life for the better than before. then I tried to manage finances from where I work in the real world by turning it into several other businesses including crypto investment.
but all back to yourself, depending on how the role you control in the business field. because making a business more efficient is sometimes not as easy as we would like it to be, but fixing it now is better than nothing. Don't be afraid to try. good luck to you :)

It's unfortunatelly not uncommon to find misogyny in all work sectors no matter what the level of education is. I was particulary surprised that it's really strong in IT, the male dominant sector. Maybe thimgs could change with more and more people workimh from home and not having that immenent personal contact.

First of all, cryptocurrencies can be divided into different sectors, and there's a lot of opportunity in all of them. The sector I focus on, and in which I participate with my company, is programming and development, and this is my motivation. I believe that coding is one of the most valuable skills in this world and a great investment in your future.

These days, many blockchain entrepreneurs focus on improving the development and security of the Blockchain applications. A lot of the development is conducted by open source projects, which means there are opportunities for developers across a whole range of different skill levels.

The vast majority are here to make more money.
Not necessarily more money. For some, it may be enough to be able to save their money. Otherwise, hyperinflation diminishes all the results of labor and reduces the effectiveness of its activities.

There might be a few that have already achieved enough wealth, and want to contribute to a system, which could potentially either replace our current broken system or be the foundation, and inspiration from future cryptocurrencies.
It seems to me that there may well be enthusiasts, without accumulated wealth, who want to contribute to change the future of the modern financial system. After all, Satoshi also didn't strive for untold wealth. Why not be here for people like him, but on a smaller scale (I hope no one will dispute the significance of Nakamoto's figure)?

Ultimately though, Bitcoin allows you not only remove the requirement for any third party, but it also allows you to work remotely much of the time. Yes, bitcoin allows to manage not only your finances, but your life in general. Because the second one depends on the first one. Bitcoin gives the freedom to choose your work and work in the way you want to organize it.

in any world or in any field coding or programmers have a good and much needed opportunity. especially if we talk about blockchain application development and security. Of course it requires special skills. but if you don't have any programming skills, it will be difficult. Becoming an investor or a trader may also be the right choice, but the knowledge of TA and FA really must be mastered. Everyone needs their own knowledge, if you work without knowledge then there is no maximum result that can be obtained.

In the country where I come from cryptocurrency particularly bitcoin is the way out. Out of poverty. Out of crime. Out of depression. Out a future of doom and gloom. I've seen crypto turned the lives of the youths around because it gave them hope. Our politicians do not give us hope. They can never. My end goal is to learn how to trade cryptocurrency. That's my motivation. Another motivation is that I am sick and tired of being dependent on the government. I want out. Cryptocurrency is my way out. That's my motivation for taking cryptocurrency learning seriously.

If the story is true then very sad. It shouldn't happen with colleagues whether male or female. The workstation should be limited to work. They are taking advantage of your obligation. However, don't think you can leave the job just by entering into crypto. Because crypto would turn your life more worst when you leave your job. This isn't any confirmed investment scheme from where you can earn regularly. You have to learn a lot of things like trading, finding a job for crypto, or selling your service. But all are quite complicated, need to learn a lot of things before earning. Spend more time in the forum and contribute. Then you will realize what you need to do.

First and foremost, I am very sorry to hear that there exist such extreme sexism in your workplace. Unfortunately, these type of workspace makes it very unbearable to women especially that if there are external and obvious signs that such prejudicial attitude exists. As an alternative method, this may however, drive you to explore other options in order to at least prove to yourself that one's sex does not affect productivity and attitude.

Personally, what drives me to invest into cryptocurrencies is my current status. As someone who lives in a third-world country, having the means of earning is a privilege. Lots of competitions exist and people would do jobs that are against their passion just in order to survive.

Though cryptocurrencies may seem complicated, this forum has brought me the privilege of working online while at the same time having an investment.

I am sorry for this incident. It's a shame that these kinds of things still happen in the world of work. harassment against women and underestimating someone for reasons of gender are also still very strong in several ways. In this case, you are right that you should get out of the work zone for your safety as well.

In cryptocurrency, we can work individually at home or as we like. indeed crypto is riskier because the market is very volatile, but it is better than in such a work environment.

What i want to tell you is that in any organization that is made up female gender and male gender, the female gender always get higher opportunity than the male gender, because of nature. If you have experience sexual harassment from your boss, it's because of the live you attributes before gotten the job opportunities, because any woman who control and compute herself doesn't give men the chance of sexual harassment. What men seems in females through interaction prompt them for trace pass boundaries of adjustment.

When it comes to trading, whether you win or lose, always try to learn something from your trading. Notice if everything is working correctly according to your trading strategy and try to find out what went wrong if you see the opposite. And take note of your mistakes so that you do not repeat them. Try to find out the causes and effects of mistakes. Try to learn from different sources. Remember the market humbles everyone. There is no one above him in the lightning.

In this life you just have to be brave enough to take all bills by the horn, because as it stands now, life itself is hard, and haven secured a job with a good paycheck, it's not advisable to quit now, even thou you plan to. Because one thing in life is that people will always make mockery of who they know is better than them, so for the fact that people in your office talks about you, you just have to be proud because you have got something they don't have. So I look forward seeing you grow on this forum, as we both promote Bitcoin to the world.

It is very frustrating for you to come across such kind of experience at your place of work. No matter the challenge you are facing you can't quit your job totally to take cryptocurrency trading as a new job. You need something doing aside from cryptocurrency,  cryptocurrency is too unpredictable for you to consider as a job and it does not generate money for one to become rich, all you need is a job and you use cryptocurrency trading to support yourself.

If you quit working in an office, then you will face a problem that does not depend on your gender and it will be related to social security. You should understand that from now on, no one will compensate you for the time when you are ill and, accordingly, upon reaching retirement age, you will not receive a decent pension, which will allow you to fully meet your financial needs.

So before you leave your job in the office, think about whether you can earn money on the cryptocurrency market with a guarantee.

It is better to refrain from trading now because I do not know where the market will go. I think it is better to buy some tokens for a long time now. You can make a good profit when the market is right. You keep some more coins buy BNB Etherium Matic solona tlm

Why buy another altcoin? when Bitcoin is still very potential and all altcoins follow Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is very good for the long term, rather than having to hold altcoins which will still be affected by bitcoin price sentiment.
The current market is not good, but this is a good opportunity to buy bitcoin assets.
