When is a good time to start buying altcoins? Is bitcoin ever going to 25,000$ in the coming weeks? How do you plan to start building your portfolio for the next bull market? Is now a good time to start buying?.

Now and when crypto will be always going down. Buy at the dip and sell at the pump. This is how it works today but bearish sentiment is still remain strong right now. It's still remain a prediction for bitcoin to go to the 25k. So many people have been calling this rate at the end of last month but it's still remain side way around 29k - 30k. buying any major coins with very big potential may give guarantee if that will give profit for the next years from now.
I have planned to accumulate more during the bearish trend. I do belive market will not bearish forever.

You can start buying now, we are officially in the bear market, and prices are cheap so you could accumulate as many coins you like to addd to your portfolio. Bitcoin going down, that's possible mate, but the current price is already cheap, and it's also possible that the current price is already thw lowest, who knows, we might not see below $30k again once the market recovers.

I think we are not at the bottom of a bear market, I would wait a little longer with a new entry into the majority of altcoins. they have weaker resistance than Bitcoin and I believe they will go even lower. Should also be very careful (based on experience from the previous bear) many very promising altcoins have never recovered.

With altcoins you never know what to expect, personally i do not think Bitcoin is prolly going below 25k, not that it matters too much if it does, because if it actually goes below that amount then you have the opportunity to accumulate Bitcoin at a cheaper price than normal. To answer your question, i am only building my portfolio with Bitcoins for now, i do not really trust altcoins as long term projects, and i am a long term investor, thus Bitcoin is the most suitable project for me right now. If you want to speculate with altcoins you must be very careful, a lot could go wrong very quickly. No matter what you do, do not hodl altcoins for the long period, sell them in the short term and take the profit you can get, altcoins are short term projects and most of them are not sustainable for the long period.

For me anytime is a good time to buy but this bear time I think is the perfect time to buy altcoins. At the moment my eyes are locked in Ethereum and BNB only and I am sure that there ATH is not the highest they will achieve it though in reality we are really not sure when is the right time, so every lower lows or pullbacks, I always buy ETH and BNB.

I am done building it and it's the same as last year. I don't have the money anymore to buy a new crypto so I think that means I had enough.
Bitcoin. Since it's not going that low ($25,000) for the past few weeks you may want to consider that it may not. Buy now or be left and have regrets, besides, it is still going up no matter what. But that's another case and my own opinion.

I think there's a good chance Bitcoin will be at $25k in the coming weeks due to the ongoing bear market cycle, so to build a portfolio it's a good idea to start now as the price is on its low.
Because this is a long term I will not think about less popular altcoins unless they have a large market capitalist, with a long journey of course it will be full of twists and turns that will be faced later on, the potential for large coins to be included in your portfolio, especially bitcoin with a slightly larger allocation.

Now is a good time to buy. Look at the new projects that were released in 2021 and gathered a large community, they are 90-98% cheaper than their ATH. What's not a reason to buy, good prices, sometimes even lower than ICO\IDO prices. If it drops even lower, that's okay, buy some more. Just do not try to find the absolute bottom and buy everything with one order, it will not work, unless by lucky chance. But investing is not a lottery, everything should be approached systematically and with as little risk as possible.

I'm doing with a simple research.

From "Bitcoin History Bullish & Bearish" according to price history each time bitcoin reach all-time high the bearish will come around 75-85% down from ATH price. If we following that history, I'm going to entering crypto or bitcoin at the time bitcoin price reached 12,000-15,000$.

Then, will hold until next halving (Good scenario 20x from the all-time low) so bitcoin reached around more than 250,000$.

The right time to buy is when you are ready with all the buying decisions themselves. No one knows for sure if the bulls are done and facing bear season or indeed we are being prepared for more significant changes. We're already in and not starting over. If in this session Bitcoin has been under $25K then anyone will take big profits in the future.

This is what I was worried about, so as you said waiting longer was a choice I also made. Don't want to rush into positioning just because the drop doesn't look too deep. If we contemplate a long bearish market, it is certain that altcoins to return past their highs will not be easy, maybe not even recover.

When? Right now as long as you're looking for top altcoins in the market. It is a bearish market right now and everyone should take the opportunity of the low price.
25k? No one knows, but I have doubts on that. It seems to recover quite a bit to 30k as of writing this.

Maybe the 75-85% decline pattern from the historical lows of ATH can be used as a reference for a new portfolio sheet in long-term investment, but waiting for the lowest decline is not guaranteed to be achieved at prices lower than 75% of ATH, note from recent historical low of only 25k and stable the recovery area is vulnerable to 29-30k, so it's difficult to break below 20k and may have to wait patiently for the next bear market.

You can start to analyze what altcoins to buy besides buying more BTC. But 'when is the best time to buy?' I am not really sure to answer it. However, in my opinion, buying now seems too early. We need to wait for BTC to drop below $25k to start buying BTC and some altcoins. For altcoins, I plan to buy top altcoins only such as BNB, ETH, ADA, SOL, DOT, AVAX, MATIC, LINK, HBAR, SAND, XLM, or TRX.

no one is gonna know the right time for making accumulation honestly, after all the bottom of bearish market could be very random and the start of another trend are also gonna be suddenly coming up.
regardless current time is the right time for making an entry in your investment and also making an accumulation, most of the altcoins are already down more than 50% in value,I think that kind of massive discount is enough if you gonna make an entry with your investment and making a long term holding.

To reach 25,000$ I don't think so, but approaching it I think it's possible. I've noticed in recent years, this often happens in the middle of the year, but bitcoin and altcoin prices often increase before the close of the year. For preparation for 2025 in my opinion, it is too far, anything can happen before entering 2025, it is not even impossible that we see bitcoin will drop from 20,000$ before entering 2025, it is too far for me.

There have been many predictions bitcoin will drop to 25k but that is just a prediction and no one knows how bitcoin will move tomorrow.
Looking at the market, many of the top coins have also lost more than 70% of their ATH value so I think this is the time to buy but buy many times if the price continues to fall, not buy all at once.

Anything can happen in this highly volatile market but even btc goes down to $25k braking the current resistance barrier then also will hold it for long term and try to invest a little bit that I can for long term and returns will be there.

My journey has not been much fruitful and I plan to go slow for the next few years. My portfolio would be divided between a few established coins and tokens of some established platform and exchanges. I'm focusing on holding the top coins Bitcoin and Ethereum just in the hope that they'll one day make another all time high. While I hold utility tokens like BNB, KCS, CAKE, BSW as a way to reward my staking. I'm in loss at most of my holdings, so, I'll be averaging the price to make it lower.

That's what many people are predicting, that btc will go lower. I guess we will all have to exercise patience and see what happens in the coming weeks. There are different opinions regarding how low the price will go, some predict as low as 8k but who knows what is the truth.
I would say now is a good time to build your 2025 portfolio but with the thought that btc can dip lower and alts can go even lower, it will be best to wait a bit, but then again these are all speculations btc can do the opposite and everyone will miss out on buying the dip.
The best case scenario is to split your investment funds, buy some now and buy more if the market goes lower. This way you don't miss out on buying when the price was down.

Well, that's somehow true but if you think that the market is going through a bear season then that's the time that you should set yourself buying some if ever you can.
@OP, today is the right time to build your portfolio before the bull run comes. Take those altcoins, anything that you can but be picky on what you'll put on board because not all of them are going to soar high at that time of bull run.

If you ask when is the right time to start buying altcoins, the answer is when the price drops to its lowest price. I don't know when bitcoin will go down and hit $25,000 or when bitcoin will go up and hit another high. I only buy coins on the top coin list and maybe I will buy on the 100 coins list. Now might be a good time to start buying altcoins, but now is a good time to buy bitcoins.

Bitcoin has more potential than most other altcoins in my opinion, because of this I think it's a good idea to start investing it now as the price is low. They are much lower than the initial levels before the bear market cycle started and I think it will take some time before they start moving upwards again!!!

A mindset like that is quite dangerous. You can't be flip-flopping on an investment that you have extensively researched and have full faith in. Otherwise you will sell and buy at moments of frightening volatility and not only will you lose money by selling low and buying high, you will lose large chunks just from the trading fees.

When altcoins costs less than its market price. In fact, this applies to any product. Also, you need to keep in mind that there are a lot of altcoins and it is impossible to speak in general about them all at once. Now might be a good time to buy one altcoin, but it might not be the right time to buy a second altcoin. Therefore, if you want to buy altcoins, you need to look at the situation for a specific altcoin.

If bitcoin drops to 25,000$ in the coming weeks, then this is definitely a great opportunity to buy at a discounted price. Many in this thread and not only say the same thing.

Whether this is a good time to buy and build my portfolio, I will still be taking this bear season as an opportunity. I can't afford to blame myself again for missing this as I once been on regrets for not listening to others during the last bear market. Now that is coming back, I shouldn't lose this one...we don't need to wait for more drops, perhaps, nobody knows when we instead start it now and enjoy it later.

Anyone saying its possible for Bitcoin to stay within the 30k range and can this a bear market don't know what they are saying, next year many investors will want to survive and won't give too much f**k about crypto because things will be extremely costly in 2023 and a new recession will begin, I am not saying now is not a good time to start buying but do not buy all your coins right now, the downside is highly possible.

BTC along with some other Major altcoin is recovering and I think first small entry will be good here. If Bitcoin down to 25k then second entry and below 20k third entry should be taken. We are in middle of market and if BTC break 35k then we can see very good movement in all alts.

The market is likely to continue to fall further but that is only a guess as the current situation may not be the bottom of the market but I see this as a good price to start buying. If bitcoin continues to drop, they can buy more and use DCA instead of paying once.

Only you will know when a good time to buy altcoins as you should analyze by yourself and not depends on the others.
If you can not analyze, you do not have to buy altcoin instead buy bitcoin and hold it but you should be patient and not panic because the price will be too volatile and will make you confused.
We do not know if the bitcoin price will go down to $25,000 in the coming weeks and even if that will happen, no one will know when it will happen.
My plan to build my portfolio is to buy bitcoin with the potential altcoin, especially ethereum and bnb, which I have a big hope to see the price rise soon.

Bitcoin is the number one coin and has always been the top coin. If you are going to make any type of investment into crypto, then you are going to end up doing it with bitcoin at first, then you can check the other ones.

I have plenty of coins in my portfolio, majority of them are very low amounts I invested, like 10-20 bucks just to keep track of them basically, never believed they would be 1000x or something, but if they ever do, I have some there just in case. But, if you look at the biggest piece of the pie, I have a big bitcoin investment for myself, because I believe that no matter what the others will do, I am sure that bitcoin will always go up in the end.

I usually am doing the dollar-cost averaging (DCA) on Bitcoin recently and might plan to add Ethereum as well. In my own opinion, only BTC and ETH are the best cryptocurrencies for us to do long-term accumulating and investing no matter if it’s the bear or bull season. It was proven time and time again that these cryptos would eventually bounce back stronger even without promises or guarantees no matter how long the bear market would be.

regardless though it's always hard speculating in regard of the right moment the bearish gonna bottoms out. if you could accumulate with your big capital for your future investment that is 2025 then I guess you could go start accumulating right the moment bearish has emerged, after all it's long term holding, surely you gonna encounter many chance of bullish run.

You really just need to wait if you already put your money in the market and don't rush to sell it out just wait for the right time and be patient at times like this. If you are not yet, then it's nice to look for another way to take advantage of the current situation because as we already know, the market will recover soon after its fall this year and it will only take one bitcoin halving to recover everything. So, it's for long-term holders to gain huge amount of money in times like this because they can wait for long before selling their crypto assets.

This time doesn't seem to be a good time to buy altcoin. The bearish market is still full with uncertainty about where was the rate for bitcoin will be stopped. I meant look at the how fast the movement of bitcoin. The marketcap was dropping so hard and everything is in the decline right now. We may not see another comeback until a few years later. For now bitcoin and crypto are so bearish. We can only predict when the bounces may happen but not for the recovery of crypto.

During this bear market, I only think about three coins that I will add again and hold for the long term to prepare for the next bullish era. They are Bitcoin, BNB, and also ETH.
I actually still have some other altcoins that I am still holding because of this sudden crash market. But I am not sure that they will survive or be able to rise up again in the future. Most of them are likely shit coins. I really hate them, but they were my choice at that time  ;D ;D

Actually the value of crypto has now dropped drastically, but looking at the market movement, the price jump will continue to occur, so to buy at this time is actually right even though it has decreased again I think it will not be much later they will again increase to the highest value like last year, but this all depends on our confidence in investing.

The Dip is frustrating a lot of people but its sure that crhpto will regain it's self back again and best advice to all investors is to see the dip as an open opportunity to grab more asset for the next bull market. I haven't created a portfolio yet and EOS isn't my favourite, but I see it's been in an accumulation zone for a very long time. Therefore, I found it appropriate for me to allocate a 5% share to EOS. I think it's worth the risk. On the other hand, I think EOS is a terrible product for end users and will never become mainstream. I just wanted to technically give it a little chance. :)

The price of Bitcoin has been drastically declining form the last week. Follow seven days chart that it has decreased by 29.7% and it is continuing. In this time it is more risky to invest in any coin. But if you think about the dip, I believe that the current price of Bitcoin has come down to $20,000, so there is no possibility of such a big loss if you hold it. However, if the market is stable then good returns can be obtained from here.

You can start buying now but with altcoins you should do your research and not invest too much in altcoins right now. The altcoins that I focus on at the moment are only ETH and BNB, I will buy more every time the price drops another 10%.
Bitcoin is hovering around $20k-$25k so a slight gain of $25k in bitcoin this month looks doable to me but it doesn't make much sense to us as there will be a drop strong afterwards. I will keep filling my pocket with bitcoins if bitcoin drops below $20k.

We are still in a free fall, imagine buying at 25,000$ like OP said and now BTC is in 20k per coin, I will start buying when BTC chart start showing or going sideways but for now we aren't in good shape yet, its better to wait probably start buying at 19k using DCA on the way down.

and for the long term it is very good, but we also have to pay attention to fundamentals too,

Bitcoin has already knocked down the strongest support at 20k I think it will take a long time to get back on the bull run. If you look at its history, it will take at least 3 years to get a bull run again. I wouldn't touch alts until things go sideways for a couple months.  The market has been in a freefall since November why would you want to buy alts right now only to watch them continue to fall.  A new bull market isn't anywhere near us.  Bitcoin at 19k right now is the time I'd start slowly buying back in.  And dca as it goes down

Extreme fear in the market investors will buy when BTC will be over $50K again but right now most of them are afraid to buy when there is a golden opportunity to buy and the price of 1 BTC is around 19000$. The price is unbelievable at the moment If I would have extra funds certainly I would buy it happily So we should overcome the fear. The price of the coin at the moment is the golden opportunity for all of us to make a strong portfolio again and get the fruit when the bull market starts again.

Increasing the number of coins you have in your portfolio makes sense as long as you keep following such a conservative strategy, building our portfolio can be done right now but we need to select the best coins in the market that we know can withstand the difficult conditions we are experimenting, however for those thinking about investing in new altcoins the only thing I can say is that such a thing is a bad idea, since most of the coins which exist right now will not survive until the next bull run arrives, so buying them now is a huge risk which we must avoid as much as possible.

If you check the price now you will be shocked about it and its not yet done. You shouldn't be in a hurry to plan for next bull IMO because you are not sure yet of coins that will make it out of this current dip. So be careful and be patient. Keep doing research and steady follow up.

for some reason i am agree this is the time to accumulte or buying altcoin in dip. recently i am buying $WOO token which is decouple with bitcoin recently. price keep maintain around 0,119 - 0.113 although btc keep down. i am believe it will be next bnb or ftt as exchanges token.

Anytime is a good time to start planning if you can find yourself selling everything you buy at a profit. I'm not sure how the market will change in 2025. Although there are a lot of things that can happen, I am also very optimistic about the future of this market, even in the current context. When going through difficult times, I have never been disappointed when I entered this market. I still have some BTC I bought when they were really cheap, and I'm still grateful for that opportunity even though many people are skeptical about its future.

The value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has been on a down trend and this could be attributable to the bearish market. Buying at this point may seem to be ideal but we never can tell where the decline would end. I'm personally waiting to see how it goes because with the rate of decline, I won't be surprised to see bitcoin trading at $10,000.

2025 is still quite a long time, but this is very interesting to discuss because the market is also bearish,
