Title: [FLAG] against Koil (u=3442072) abuse and harassment by PM
Post by: NotATether on June 15, 2022, 04:43:37 AM
I am sure many of you have heard about the drama between MilkZ and Koil on this now locked thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5401717.0). A summary of what happened is best provided by MilkZ himself:

Quote
I have traded this user gift cards for a decent amount of time.  He goes first, no issues there.  We have not had a new trade for a while now because of my refusal to provide him positive trust.  As you can see he is VERY butthurt about it.

Shortly afterwards, Koil was tagged by several DT users including myself.

This flag is not so much about his trust begging as it is about his abuse and slander.

Over the past two days, I have received very hateful PMs from this user (which I have subsequently reported) simply for tagging him for begging for trust which shall now be published here (it is strange that this user is now temp. banned yet for these remarks):

#1:

I never ever beg for any positive trust you blind autistic muslim nigger

#2:

kill yourself nigger :) all of you are scamming scumbags:)

Now I have a partiularly thick skin, but these unsolicited messages dropping into my mailbox every day are making me tired, so I blocked this guy from my PMs.

I would like to emphasis that I had no correspondence on my part to Koil, and these were the only two messages exchanged.

As I said in the other thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5402643.msg60363379#msg60363379), I don't understand why this user hasn't been banned. Between public threats against MiLkz and these types of PMs there's isn't really any plausible reason for their continued existence on the forum.

Isn't the second message a kind of death threat, that's punishable by 6 months ban anyway?

Flag supported. I was planning on creating it as well. A user who begs for positive trust and then turns into a dramatic queen when his wish is not granted can not be trusted. Atleast newbies and guest will be able to see warnings on top of his adverts.

Isn't the second message a kind of death threat, that's punishable by 6 months ban anyway?

Maybe they gave him a temporary ban. He's been online but no longer bumps his useless topics.

Nah, as mean-spirited as it is, it isn't a direct death threat.  "I'm going to kill you/have you killed" would be, but recall that Vod implored Quickseller to kill himself a while back (and someone correct me if I've got QS mixed up with OgNasty; it's been a while), and there was a discussion about the nuances of that kind of speech.  Vod certainly never got banned.

OP, the best thing you did was to block that fucker's PMs.  It's good you've got thick skin as well, because words can hurt.  Things from some random internet jagoff ought not bother people, but we're all built with different constitutions.

I'm neutral on the flag.  I think Koli was being too aggressive in asking for positive trust, but I wouldn't tag him for trust begging.  And the mean PMs and spiteful stuff doesn't warrant a tag IMO--at least not from me.

I've blocked him from messaging after the first one I've received. I want to emphasize that it's the only used from the entire forum I've blocked from private messages.
Thick skin or not, it's not OK to spam with dumb messages full of offensive words.
So I do understand your point and I've supported the flag.

Wait, so this guy has been sending all of you these nasty messages?

Well, not all of us. He never took the time to send me a nasty PM. All I got was the usual generic retaliatory trust feedback. So impersonal. I'm feeling a little left out, to be honest. :(

Not really.
Saying someone to kill himself can't be consider as death threat anywhere, including bitcointalk forum, and I am not defending this member in any way.
I think I noticed him creating bunch of self-moderated locked topics all around forum, and I reported all of those topics.

Wait, so this guy has been sending all of you these nasty messages?
I never received any message from him, but I think that he deserved at least temporary ban, if not even full ban, but maybe moderators are on summer vacations  8)
However, we are not going to fix anything banning him, like we saw with many other mentally challenged members (for example humanrightsfoundation guy), they will just create new account, and maybe send you even more messages from other addresses.
How about instead just clicking on magical IGNORE button, and not giving any more attention to this member?

I don't think so, but this is certainly a "threat to inflict bodily harm" (quoted from the rules), especially when paired with an offer to pay for the user's dox:
I want to learn someone a life changing lesson,

As I said in the other thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5402643.msg60363379#msg60363379), I don't understand why this user hasn't been banned.
Haven't you heard? Blatant plagiarism, death threats, trolling, and endless rule breaking is fine now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5400571.msg60248138#msg60248138

He recently made a post saying he was paying lots of BTC to find me IRL(was removed by mods).  Around the same time he unblocked me from telegram. He sent a bunch of messages basically threatening me, stating things like he will "find me", there will be "consequences", ect.

Certainly is unstable...lol

I think he also sent the user TheButterZone a message about me, as that user edited a positive trust he left me in 2015 to neutral.  I asked butter about this, no response yet.  Inconsequential, little trust, but its very odd...lol

Isn't this illegal? Where I live, it's not allowed to help someone commit suicide. One could argue that makes encouraging someone to kill himself illegal too.

I followed this drama a bit, and it's just that: drama. My TL;DR: Koil kept asking MiLkz for positive feedback, MiLkz eventually named a ridiculous price (which sounded like a bad joke to me), and Koil went slightly crazy after that.

add to all this the possibility that Koil (in case he finds MiLkz's address) comes to him and personally asks for positive feedback on the Bitcointalk forum.

Sounds like a keyboard warrier.

Really? I think there are many hospice places in your country and in other countries around the world, this is legal way to commit suicide or murder someone, and I personally don't like it.
This guy never really helped anyone in any way to commit suicide, it was just empty words from some internet lunatic.
If you say someone go f*** yourself you are not really committing sexual crime or felony.

Sounds like a keyboard warrier.
in keyboard war.

Consider scamming was fine since this forum exists, punishing the scammers should also be fine :)

-snip-
Keep up with the episodes of ranting. Maybe I will care more one day

It's funny how you used to create scam accusations and reputation board topics and then immediately lock the threads to avoid opinion from other members, and then here you are ranting in another unlocked thread.
Why don't you rant in your own locked thread?

... and please keep sending that retaliatory negative feedback, i like it, it will make a huge difference toward your innocence  ;D

To avoid a flame war (modeled on WWI 8)), I am now locking this thread. Anybody who needs to add additional info to this case may contact me by PM except for Koil.
