Title: Which alt-coin do you trust the most?
Post by: Superdoctor on June 26, 2022, 09:13:11 AM
I invested in ethereum when it was $700 in 2020 and in 2021 when it was $4000 I sold it. I just  bought again now that the value has reduced. I still trust that it will increase rapidly soon.

It's pretty clear that you're just a spammer. I mean, how else to explain this statement of yours from last year:

I choose bitcoin. I lost money buying alt coins. I will not repeat the same mistake

yes I lost a lot of money buying alt coins but read and understand my topic. It’s stated clearly that the alt coin I trust the most is ethereum due to the losses I’ve incurred in investing in other alt coins. The only trusted alt coins for me is ethereum. I hope you understand better now?

I guess Ethereum is one solid altcoin to begin with, it's the prime mover so most likely in the next bull run it will grown again. And I think this is the best time to buy them again, although it is still above 4 digit but the potential growth in 2024-2025 might be huge. And not just Ethereum, perhaps the top 5-10 altcoins will eventually bounce back and as others have said, bear market is the best time to buy and hold.

Seems like you hit the timings pretty well with your buys and sells of Ethereum. Gratulations to that. You sold it pretty close to it's all time high which is always a great feeling afterwards. I would also say that Ethereum is probably the altcoin that i have the most trust in. Both in terms of general trust into the project itself and in the team behind it and of course also trust that Ethereum will remain to be the most important altcoin of them all also in the mid- and long term future. Therefore i think it is totally reasonable to invest into Ethereum now especially if you plan on holding again for a few years or so.

So, have you been moving from bitcoin to the ethereum? why are you still trusting altcoins after you have gotten a huge lose? ethereum was also altcoin as well. Ethereum may increase again when bitcoin will be increasing first. If bitcoin is still remain in the bearish trend and how can ethereum to be bullish like what already happened in the past? Ethereum is waiting for the market trend to turn to be bullish trend again and you may see that level again when you sold your ethereum at 4k USD.
This may happen in long term.

Sounds like you know how to play the game dude. Too many people do the total opposite & sell on the way down, buy on the way up. ETH is definitely still a good investment & now is a good time to buy again. You might even get a chance to buy under $1,000 before the next bull run starts.

You are genius newbie. I congratulate for your big profit honestly.

When I was a newbie, I believed Bitcoin will rise to $100k and did not sell it in 2017 so you actually are better than me, knew where is peak to take profit and did not hope too high.

My trusted altcoins: Ethereum, BNB, Dogecoin and the gold token (the signature I wear). Gold token is backed by real physical gold bars in vaults (Bullion Stars in Singapore).

Nice, that's real profit there and you did a good job of selling at the top and buying again when it's low. There's no catch with that and you just did the right thing and the typical suggestion and tip that we're telling about buying low and selling high.

I still trust that it will increase rapidly soon.
Me too, let's just keep holding Ethereum together.

Ethereum is an altcoin that is definitely a better one to invest in. Ethereum goes with Bitcoin's journey in ups and downs. If you own Ethereum and stay focused on investing long term I think it's quite relevant and won't worry you as long as you keep your focus on putting money into Bitcoin. The advantage is clear that the two coins you hold can guarantee long-term profits.

When we hear the word of altcoins the first thing come in my mind is Ethereum . Ethereum is the coin which lead all altcoins from start so the altcoin which I trust 100% is the one and only Ethereum (ETH) because I believe if you even bought it at 4k$ it will never disappoint you because if you hold it for 3 to 4 year I believe that it can double or may be triple you investment  because the adoption of Ethereum Blockchain is increasing rapidly which will be very significant for Ethereum price growth.

Ethereum I think is always a good choice for investment and that's without a doubt for sure,
now is the right moment to buy and we need to make the most of it,
then continue to hold and wait until the market is bullish

In my opinion, investing in only one altcoin is not a good decision. It is better to diversify free funds into several altcoins from the top-50. If you invest for a long time, then it is better to definitely buy Ethereum, since the risk of a scam and a complete depreciation is minimal.

Nice investment bought ethereum on $700 and sell later above $4,000 and most profitable you earn, but how much price buy back ethereum again? if you still buy above $3,000 still need waiting recovery because ethereum have drop under $1,300 right now. I think not mistake if you bough ethereum on higher price because drastically dump from bitcoin last year make all altcoin price drop and ethereum have lower price until now. Not have to worry if ethereum really drop and have chance back to higher price later until make new all time high above $5,000 on several years later.

All altcoins can be considered good when they are profitable, but if they are not, they will be labeled as goddamn coins and make them non-profitable coins. As long as we know when to enter to buy and take profits then do it. But you need to remember that dividing your portfolio balance into many altcoins is also not good. So just take one or 2 altcoins that you have chosen such as Ethereum.

the good thing about eth network is it is being developed by solid team headed by vitalik. in my opinion, this group will continue to innovate and offer better services to the crypto community. unlike most dev teams that are after for quick gains, this team is really thinking the future of their platform. the outcome of their developments may be slow but i don't think they are just sleeping on their targets. this is why, even if it drops its price, the probability of gaining again is very high once the market recovers. what the OP did was a smart one. get his profits while he can.

You are one of the lucky investor to bought ETH at a cheaper price and its good that you are able to sell at the peak. Now the price is cheap again, and buying is a good strategy with ETH because for sure it will rise again. Personally, I also trust ETH for my long term goal, once the market recovers ETH will surely follow that trend.

There is nothing but Ethereum, the most trusted altcoin. We know how Ethereum has been before. This altcoin seemed unable to survive during the last bear market period, its price dropped very drastically. But in reality, Ethereum shows that it is the best altcoin, the best cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. So that ETH can survive again and have a very high price increase. And I also believe that it will rise again in the next bullish period.

Though it was the most trusted coin in the market among altcoins, however, some people are rejected this because of earning profit concerns as they are more preferred for easy money and believing in hyped projects. But of course, real investors will choose ETH because of its sustainable potential in the long term which is very important. Well, short-term investors will see a different market view and likely have different categories when choosing projects to invest in. But yeah, it doesn't matter, what is important is that we believe cryptocurrencies will recover after the dip.

that we must be in crypto market, buy on low and take profit when it at peak dont be opposite buy on high and sell on low. as investors our main purpose was earning profits from any coins no matter that shitcoin or major coin. and ethereum was good investment portofolio since demand still huge ., moreover if transaction gas fee could cheap like bnb or solana.

It is exactly clear that Ethereum is the most trusted altcoin, after that, BNB I think. Ethereum has ever experienced a drastic drop, but this can prove that this is the best altcoin. The fact is that finally, Ethereum can jump high multiple times at the moment. And right now, I also think that Ethereum can still jump high again passing the previous ATH in the next bullish era. SO, don't worry if we are holding Ethereum. I will prefer to hold them tight than seling them off right now.

Investing in Ethereum in the long run has profit potential because ETH has now become attractive for long-term storage, but I'm not sure it will grow rapidly anytime soon. Like the whole market, it will take some time for ETH to recover its former price values and it is far from certain that it will do so in the next six months. Yes, ETH will grow, but not as fast as we would like it to, but following the whole market.

I trust ETH the most of course, because ... well, it is ETH why wouldn't I. But if I have to give an answer that is not an obvious one, I trust Cake a lot. I know that it is not at its peak like the DeFi period, and even after a big recovery that will see Bitcoin to be 68k, there is a chance that Cake may not crack its own ATH as well, not because it’s a bad coin, but the hype for DeFi is not there.

But, I believe that the fact that it is the DEX for all the BSC network deals, that seems like the best coin to invest. With the new structured staking system, it could be a smart idea to get in right now, and wait until it recovers and stake while waiting for it.

Ethereum is here to stay, and I think it will make new price records one day! I think the same about the Binance coin... and many other coins! I think they are pretty much safe (in the crypto meaning of that word safe)! I use Bitcoin, BNB, TRX, and Litecoin... and I think those coins are here to stay, one day, in a 2-3 years we will see the prices rising again, the question is how much will they rise and which one will have the highest rise... questions for all of us!

That's actually the right strategy for a long-term investment. Buy it at a low price then sell it when the market strikes a good situation. I have also profited from Ethereum the same way. Eth, BTC and BNB are worth investing in for me and they're my most trusted coins because of their potential. Yes, buying now would be a wise choice, and selling it when the market recovers or when the coins reach their ATH again.

Ethereum is among the trusted coin that have made Massive pump in the past years and will still pump in the nearest future. Not just Ethereum but also BNB. That two top coins have a very strong community which always help them to make bull and and bear run. The best thing I did which have save me from several crashed send dumping of coins was when I bagged these coins few years back before they pump and hits their ATH. I sold it then because when it begin to dip, I was frighten that all the fund in my wallet will liquidate. So I sold all the pieces of both Ethereum and BNB. Now that they are in dip, I have bagged the required amount my capital is equivalent to and I'm waiting for the two bullish run.

Good one! You made the right choice. Buy and sell though is one of my weaknesses. I always fall in love with a project and keep it as long as I could.
But you? You did right, that's a brave act that doesn't happen with every crypto enthusiast.
I bought at $260 if my memory is right. I never sold it up until now because I do trust Ethereum to be somewhere in a good spot someday going head to head with Bitcoin. I wish my prediction is right but we did saw how far it could go so maybe it will come true. Instead of selling I usually buy more at bear markets.

Right choice, it can be said that ethereum is the most reliable altcoin. You are great selling them at 4k, even though it's still not the highest peak but that's more than enough to say victory.
I just  bought again now that the value has reduced. I still trust that it will increase rapidly soon.

Could you share more about what happened after selling ethereum for 4k$ and then buying it back, and how much did you buy it for, I would love to know. Right now, the ethereum price is trading at $1k and I think it could fall further but you shouldn't worry because when bitcoin goes up the ethereum price will go up too.

That was such a smart move. Ethereum is one of the most acceptable altcoin as a lot of businesses that accepts bitcoin for payments also accepts ethereum. The present value is a good opportunity to buy, the depth may not be far from the present trading value. Bag holding altcoin like ethereum could bring enormous wealth in the next bull run.

You are one of the lucky person in cryptocurrency. I trust ethereum the most in altcoin. Because ethereum is the king of altcoins and it is the most trusted altcoin. Many new altcoins have arrived, some of which have survived, some have been destroyed. But ethereum still proudly survives. I myself will invest in ethereum for long term.
ETH is also my most trusted. I have a dream one day ETH even flip BTC out of its number one spot for crypto, and become the king of crypto. Who knows, maybe the upcoming crypto crash and ETH PoS over the horizon would haste that dream of mine. Unlikely, I know but we're in the bearish time so everything could possible)

Choosing huge potential coins will surely benefit us in the long run. Ethereum has been one of the most trusted coins since cryptocurrency existed.
It never loses its track to be on top because of its capability. It might be down at the moment but it still never fails every time the market recovers. Accumulating Ethereum during this bearish season will be an advantage.

Litecoin ;D
I know, it sounds like an unpopular opinion but I remember every time when BTC and cryptocurrency approached ATH or in their bull run, transactions stuck with a very high fee. Moving your asset from one exchange to another or depositing it from your wallet to your exchange wallet took a lot of time. Only Litecoin work and show it was reliable at that time and I really like it.

Most of them are cool ( I mean those that have exchanges) like Etherium, KCS etc. Some that don’t have any exchange are super cool too. But I’d prefer those with exchanges as the owners won’t want their native coin to lose value and it will help bring more users to trade using their exchange.

What is stake?

Staking is the process of keeping your cryptocurrencies locked in your wallet for a certain period of time without spending or transferring them. From these crypto coins you lock, you earn reward crypto money at certain rates during the period you lock. You need a special mobile or computer wallet to lock your cryptocurrencies.

For me, BNB and ETH are the most trusted after BTC since they have some great development and working products to further improve their features and most importantly their market gain for the upcoming years. But of course, when it comes to investment you really need to give yourself some spare time to study what else they can offer in their next updates so that you can take some advantage to invest before it and make sure it is a long-term investment for these altcoins are not meant to be pumping easily, it took years for them to climb this high.

after I analyzed carefully from the past until now I see only ethereum and binance that can survive and give their best, because I think these two altcoins have strong fundamentals so there is a great opportunity to grow quickly when the crypto market recovers, therefore I very optimistic about these two alts.

Not only you, most people have the same mind calm ETH and BNB including me. Until now, apart from Bitcoin I was active in ETH and BNB even though the market was in this state. I can say that the risk of owning ETH and BNB is almost the same as holding Bitcoin. This means that my level of trust in these two altcoins is very high.

I think BNB still needs more time to prove itself to be reliable. Since the coin has the exchange background which is much more different from ETH and BTC. For me, ETH is the most trusted crypto right after BTC.

I invested in ethereum when it was $700 in 2020 and in 2021 when it was $4000 I sold it. I just  bought again now that the value has reduced. I still trust that it will increase rapidly soon.
the steps there are very good, and you really have a lot of profit if you have sold Ethereum at a price of $4000,
especially now Ethereum is at $1,000, if you have more capital I hope you can buy it too, and wait until it reaches new ATH

Well you made a profit in 2021 - so props to you for that since many users here did not sell and lost the opportunity, something you should consider as an achievement.

It is not that people dont trust an altcoin, some people dont but that point should be in making profit and getting out in a green streak. Ethereum is not the first go coin for users in a bitcoin forum but there will always be people rooting for the coin that is 2nd to bitcoin.

The coin I trust the most is Bitcoin. But keeping your choice open in the crypto world usually leads to more losses - so I restrict myself to the top 5 altcoins only.

You're right to restrict yourself to the top 5 altcoins. There is a lot of market changes over the years. You see the top altcoins from a year or two ago now still keep their spot on CMC? No, plenty of new faces in altcoins now take that spot. Only a few, for example, ETH are trusted and keep its spot which shows how risky the altcoins market is. So if you ain't sure, just hold BTC as the safe bet.

That'll happen for sure. Apart from bitcoin, ethereum is the much trusted one for now. Last year I missed a chance to make good profit investing in ethereum. This time I have got an opportunity, but I don't have capital to buy ethereum. Most of the altcoins on the top list is going to make a big bounce when the recovery takes place. For now we don't know how long this market trend will continue.

Still huge potential for Eth and Erc20 tokens in bull market season, accumulate as much as you can nowadays.

Not anyhow eth Erc20 tokens. Most Erc20 tokens are bullshits only few are strong. I won't advise anyone to just go blindly into any kind of Erc20 tokens.

There is no doubt that Ethereum is one of the solid cryptocurrencies in the market second to Bitcoin.  It is a no-brainer to invest in it in this bear market.  Anyway, don't you have a plan to diversify, adding another solid crypto to your portfolio?  I think BNB has the potential to go up in price when the market recovers.  So what do you think?

My trusted altcoins: Ethereum, BNB, Dogecoin
Good to see someone root for Dogecoin in an unrelated comment. I like Dogecoin too after I discovered its ease of transaction. It's cheap and fast to make payment using it. I don't get it when people say it's a joke coin or meme as popularly acclaimed, as if it's utterly useless. Perhaps what is dragging its price that down is its huge supply. Other than that, doge seems a great coin. My alts pick will centre around exchange and launchpad tokens, I like Cartesi and Cifi by the way too. Then ETH also comes in, dragging Dogecoin with it.

Ethereum and BNB are the top two altcoins which there is no doubt about,
i don't think we need to waste time because when this is a bear market where the coin price is going down this is a good time to buy it,
both coins are very good for long term investment so if you buy it and hold it it will be profitable

As the majority of investors and enthusiasts, I also think ethereum is the most reputable altcoin without any doubts. History speaks for itself.

But I confess I tend to fall in love for altcoins which offer bonus, benefits and features, especially when integrated to platforms dealing with bitcoin, what means your bitcoin holdings are affected positively when investing in the native token of the site. I can't say I trust them like I trust eth, though. Maybe in some years, if they prove to be solid and sustainable, just like ethereum did since 2015, I can see them with a fresh pair of eyes.

For now there are only expectations. :)

ETH and BNB definitely gonna recover its ATH back eventually, its just obvious seeing that they have gone through the same thing so many times and always could regain its value back.
The other altcoins mostly in NFT i don't really sure since it seems the trend has faded. Instead i'd definitely invest in coin that's smart contract platform just like BNB and ETH since they are really the best if it comes in regaining its value back long term.

That's why many investors really trust ETH and BNB as altcoins that are worthy of trust, especially for long-term investments. Since ETH and BNB
have not only shown a fairly good history of movement in recent years, which ETH and BNB can always recover when the price falls very deep.
Conclusion ETH and BNB are indeed the safest choices for investment today, moreover, the market is still in a bearish trend, so we really have to be
more careful in choosing coins for investment. And so far, I trust ETH and BNB the most, therefore I never hesitate to collect ETH and BNB
right now. Because I believe I can make a big profit if I have a large amount of ETH and BNB, then I will hold it in the long term. Regarding NFT,
it is still a trend that is in demand today, but the risk is still too high if we invest in NFT, so for me NFT is only an alternative choice to generate
short-term profits.

So far when talking about altcoins then I think no one can be trusted and all of them have a very high risk including ethereum price movements, so in my opinion when you have made a lot of profit from ethereum then you can enter again when the price collapses as happened in some In the past, I think ethereum and BNB are the best altcoin candidates that still have a lot of interest and very high demand.

I think Ethereum, BNB, MATIC is solid altcoin at the moment. These Altcoin can never drop a lot like others altcoins. And these Altcoin is must trusted and valuable. The future Altcoin market will be in their possession. And the price of these will go up a lot. Although they are still in the top position in the market.

It is just a matter of waiting patiently, DCA if ethereum continues to drop and you will get the rewards you deserve when the next bullish arrives.
You will get a good night's sleep this bear season if you focus on holding bitcoin and ethereum. No matter what the next trend in the market will be, it is certain that ethereum will never lose manners and will always bounce when the bullish comes.

You've managed to get quite a sizable return on ethereum in just over a year and now you're planning to buy it again, so of course when the market goes through a correction like it is today, this would be a good time for us. to buy it but i suggest it will be better if you buy it gradually to be able to get discount and take advantage of every drop, no need to doubt ethereum coin as a long term investment because ethereum will continue to grow bigger in future.

What a great way to earn with what you did. You just invested at the right time and sold at the right time. Much money has flown into cryptocurrencies in those years, so it's great that you have profited more than triple your initial investment. I think you shouldn't forget that feeling because you can probably use it again and have the capacity to satisfy likewise if you believe in a particular coin of your choosing.

I think averaging your entries with the asset could significantly increase your chances of profiting more from it.

I think the question we should ask ourselves is that why did investors trust these coins?
They trusted ETH because it introduced something innovative into the cryptocurrency scheme but sadly they mess up in terms of tx confirmation time and the fee which is the reason why coins like BNB, SOL, AVAX, etc get a chance to make waves in the market.
Whenever, I think about how Vitalik makes empty promises I have the feeling it was a bargain between him and others (BNB, SOL, AVAX team since he supported AVAX).
If ETH dev fixes the tx problem you will see how its level of dominance in the market will increase.

We can do better and do the sell option if we are not greedy. Many people got to miss it right because of the greediness that lives inside and the reason why they instead sell during the peak season but still hold and wait for more until the sunset comes. Many people lose their opportunities and yet they blame the market which in fact that was their fault.
Thus, if we are able to perform just like OP and choose the right coin for investment, we are getting rich in the future but unfortunately, not.

That's the thing, we don't know if we are right on time to sell the certain asset. Imagine being able to sell it even 100x more than the others. There are a lot of other opportunities that might be missed or something. It's better to have control and manage your risks accordingly. You cannot expect the market to go according to your plan so, it's better to just make the most out of it.

There is still ethereum, the best candidate on the market, but there are a number of altcoins that are just as trustworthy as BNB, BNB is also an altcoin worth trusting for its future. However, in a way, it can be said that BNB has not yet been able to compare and replace the candidate of the Ehereum.

You got a good return on your Ethereum investment, so I encourage you to do even better in the future with Ethereum.

An nft is a token not an altcoin, judging by its name which is "non fungible token" if spelled in full. A real altcoin do has the ability to create a smart contract like what we saw in eth and in bnb. It's wise to invest on these kinds of alts because they have a utility. Devs or the common people will have a reason to buy them as they are being used to create or interact with the smart contracts.

Nft's are only good for display purposes and we aren't sure if they can retain their value the moment the trend passes out but maybe except to those nft which can be used in certain popular games or casinos because there will still be a demand for them.

I still hold a handful amount of ETH and I think that they'll go bigger with the next bull run. I've already sold in all seasons, bears and bulls and nothing has changed to me.

All of those times that I've sold it depends on my financial situation and let's say that it's not all about the trust but what you can see on the project.

Just like those investors that are holding unknown tokens but they do believe on it and yeah, trust it but I'm sure that the time will come they have to let go of it and trust will be gone.

That is true, there were periods when it was amazingly easy to make a lot of profit, but at the same time it shouldn't be something that we forget and lose hope just because we are not in those periods right now. It is true that the best thing to do right now would be making a profit as much as we can, and that is why we need to hope for a situation where it is easier to make a profit in the long run and just wait for those times to comeback.

It is going to happen, I am 100% certain that it is going to happen, and that is why I believe that we shouldn't really be focusing on anything that disrupts this type of situation overall and quit, just wait and it will come.

Considering the current market, there are 2 cryptocurrencies that I trust. The first of these is definitely bitcoin. The second is ethereum. Bitcoin is the biggest source of the formation of the crypto money world and it is the crypto money that offers us this system. On the other hand, Ethereum is a system that has proven itself on this market and that almost many new projects use its infrastructure. If we remove ethereum from the world of cryptocurrencies, apart from bitcoin, many existing cryptocurrencies are doomed to extinction.

Since this is about trust then without a doubt the altcoin which is the more deserving of it is ethereum, not only it has been around for a long time, it is the second coin in terms of market cap and there are other coins which depend on it which solidify its position, so without a doubt it is the best altcoin in which we can invest if our aim is to hold our altcoins for the long term, in second place I will put BNB as it can give huge profits as well, but other than those coins I do not trust in any other altcoin.

The more and more I see this kind altcoins, it will ruined the altcoins space.

I completely disagree with you. Monero is obsolete technology, especially compared to EVM tokens like 0xMR and BUCC and private smart contract chains like DERO and incognito chain. As to altcoins being worthless, or there being too many altcoins/forks, I think you are wrong there too. That's like saying there are too many types of websites or too many types of shoes. This is how technology evolves and improves. Good tech and projects will stay alive and the scams or failed ideas will fail. A lot of new L1's are technologically superior to Ethereum, like CNDL and NEAR, and we will see these protocols surpass Ethereum over time. You can't stop progress just because you can't keep up with the changes.
