Title: People who holds 1+ Bitcoin, how does it feel to hold in bear market?
Post by: tjtonmoy on December 21, 2022, 06:53:47 PM
I have been in this crypto market for a while now. 2 years plus if I remember correctly. I have seen BTC at $29k when I first entered the crypto market.
Then after some struggle, BTC went up so high reaching almost 70k making it the all-time high price of BTC. Then in 2022 it just falls and where it stands now.

I have seen it grow and fall too. Current market condition is so unpredictable. But I have made my own analysis, and now I know that every time BTC has fallen in the past, it just bounces back to the top to grow stronger than before.

As whom holds more than 1 BTC now, I think you guys are in this crypto world for a long now. How does it feel to hold it in Bear market?
And what would you suggest to the people entering the market recently and having thoughts about selling their share of BTC? What's your advice to them?

As for my advice, I would say "Try to do some research on Bitcoin's past and see what it has achieved. If you dive deep, you will see it's potential and would never sell until the right time"

Edit: I said 1 BTC+ and there's a reason for that. I know how human mind works. If you have less than 1 BTC(almost 1) then you will be willing to hold it to make it to the 1. And those who have more than 1 BTC Like 1.5 or 1.2 something like that. They will most likely sell the other and keep the 1 for the future.
I am not here to know who owns the 1 BTC. Just curious, do they do the same?

Yes the price of bitcoin will rise again and we may see another ATH, but no one knows how long it’s going to take. I don’t have 1 bitcoin, and I’m getting there. I’m taking advantage of the bear season gives a good opportunity to buy more bitcoins to add to my portfolio. I wouldn’t advice anyone to sell their bitcoins unless it’s a health situation or they don’t have any other means to take care of their needs. The best advice I can give is hodl.

i have coins from as far back as 2012. so i have no fear or worry at all

i did also buy about $5k worth(0.16btc) when the price was $30k this year, i have no regrets on that deal either

i didnt need to buy more, i have hoards. this little 0.16 does not impact the hoards. so its just lays there as dust compared to lumps when comparing the wallets

but compared to the 2021 peak $70k.. $30k price was a good deal. and dont regret it even now

the trick is PATIENCE, and not investing amounts which you fear losing.
dont invest more then you can risk/afford

$5k is just a years worth of food waste toilet flushes to me,
it would have been lost if not invested anyways(i would have spent it on junk food/luxury food that just gets digested and plops out in a toilet)

Nothing beats the advise of being patient because that's all you need to have on this bear market. Actually, not just on this bear market but also during the bull run.

Not just all about holding but the attitude of being patient. You have to be calm at all times because you'll never know how high and low it will be for the price of bitcoin.

It's normal to sell when you're in profit and as well as if you're panicking but, if ever you're about to sell then make sure that you're happy about it.

Note that people replying here may or may not hold as much as 1BTC. No one would so easily give a hint of how much of an asset they own, as that would be a poor privacy decision.

How does it feel to hold it in Bear market?
And what would you suggest to the people entering the market recently and having thoughts about selling their share of BTC? What's your advice to them?
Experienced forum members can still give good advice on this as they have been around this space for some time now, witnessing different bull and bear markets over that time.

• It feels frustrating to hold initially as you constantly check on the price, multiple times a day even, only to see it remain stagnant or even drop. You wonder when it would rise and you'll get that adrenaline rush of a bull run. There would also be a lot of dead cat bounces, where it does rise, only to fall back soon after.
You need to build your mental resolve and of course, only invest what you can afford to lose.

• If you're having thoughts about selling, look at the charts and zoom out to see the larger picture.
You likely wish you had bought ten years ago, but even if you had and sold early at any price drop, you'll still have profited nothing.

If you just entered the market recently means you have not made as many losses as people who have been in the market for a longer time and holding more than 1+ bitcoins. I can imagine that for those who had or still have up to 1+ bitcoin are not taking this bear market season as lightly and easily as others who only hold fractions and why not, when they have lost a lot already.  I don't have up to 1 bitcoin but I imagine the advice I will give to people who just entered the market will be sell if you know that the money you have invested is not an amount you can and will want to loose, sell if you cannot be patient.

OP just said Never sell until the right time. He knows when that is which is once the price hits the all-time high after halving. BTC bull market has a cycle, we all know it goes way up after halving. If a person holds his BTC by that time when he knows the bubble is about to pop, then he might just regret not selling. Yes, I sometimes regret not selling some. I often think of how much I could have gotten if I bought back at the current price.

holders dont watch the price daily because they are not going to sell today so no need to know todays price

some are day traders, but they look at the price for day trading,
not hoard investing

previous years i day traded. not to value my hoard, but just to see the 1% price wiggles to get 1% a day profit to add to my hoard

I don't see any difference feeling between those who own 1 btc and those who own less. Btc is btc and the price is uniform and affect everyone holding it. What I'm trying to say in short is that there's no special feeling. It depends on how best you can control your emotions during the bear market. Mind you, you shouldn't decide for people when to sell their coins.

Trying to accumulate more during the bear market is the best choice one can do. To hold 1BTC is really good and it gives the pride that we're among the 21 million club. Holding 1BTC without knowing its value happened with me. I just made few bitcoin and I wasn't able to keep hold of it. I just cash out and use it or gamble and loss it. If I've planned well and used now I could've got 1BTC in my wallet. So, I never expected of massive bounce is the prime reason for spending it and not giving importance to holding of bitcoin.

Not only people with 1 bitcoin, people who hold more than 10 bitcoin had hold their bitcoin for longer period. It’s doesn’t depend on the number of bitcoin holding. It’s purely based on the capacity of holding your bitcoin for the longer period. Dependencies of bitcoin as your monthly expenses and depend on that for your regular money spending should be avoided in such a way to save your money in bitcoin.

I'm not holding 1 Bitcoin but holding a tenth of it is likely similar thing, I'm not gonna paperhand it during this time. To those who are new in the wild west of crypto, this is just as expected and maybe we can't even yet see that it really bottomed. We may expect more pain in the downside since lot are expecting to grab $10k valuation.

As for my advice, I would say "Try to do some research on Bitcoin's past and see what it has achieved. If you dive deep, you will see it's potential and would never sell until the right time"

I consider out myself to accumulate BItcoin out from my hard work plus having those gradual buys out from my salary or savings which it did really be able to hit up that 1 whole BTC on my stash.

I was never ever did come to a point on selling it out no matter how high or low the price is.1 BTC = 1 BTC, there's so much potential with it and we arent that blind
when it comes to history on how it did able to survive for a decade.
This market is really a roller coaster ride on which it is really that hard to make control of someones emotion on the time you are seeing its declining.
Proper control and patience is the key.

Even though I'm fairly new to this and still don't have 1+ bitcoin in my portfolio, but with this condition, I'm actually a little grateful because I feel a little bit more from the bear market for the first time since I held bitcoin after a quite big increase. with new ath in it.
On the other hand, I'm actually a little grateful because with this I started DCA on a good note because over the past few months I bought bitcoin, even below $30k, even now it's under $20k so I feel this is a good thing for me in the future. .

I don't have 1 Bitcoin; unfortunately, I'm nowhere close to having that much. I'd love to set a goal to acquire a whole Bitcoin but it won't be a realistic one. Nevertheless, in my opinion, the amount of BTC is quite irrelevant in this case since the majority of us are at a loss of over 50%. Even if you've held since 2012 as Franky1, it'd still hurt thinking that one day Bitcoin would be worth almost $70,000 each. Generally, I'm quite optimistic, despite an approximately 60% loss, because this isn't money that I take into account on a daily basis. Thus, I pretend that I don't have them; it helps keep my mind at peace. I'm hoping that we'll see a recovery in the upcoming few years.

It's unlikely that I'll ever acquire a whole bitcoin, but fortunately, the lower prices make it way more affordable than it was a few months ago.

I am not even close to owning one bitcoin because from my investment plan, it would take so many years for me to achieve that feat. But I think I still have similar feeling with some people that have gotten to that one bitcoin mark. For new investors, checking the price almost every time might be their current behavior because they might not have the knowledge of how the bitcoin investment system works. Most of them are threatened or scared when the see the price drop. But for investors that have been in the sector for a long time, they are not really scared of the daily or weekly performance of the market because the have a lot of experience concerning the sector. For me, I have decided to totally have confidence in bitcoin, therefore I am not moved to sell my investment anytime soon.

I don't have more than one bitcoin, but I only have less than 1 bitcoin. and i held bitcoin for quite a while when i bought it for 40,000 dollars. and I will not sell it until the time comes, that is, I will sell it when there is a good profit.

my advice for new to bitcoin. don't sell your bitcoins if you haven't made a profit yet. and remember the bitcoin cycle.

I think this is only based on the person, not all can afford 1 bitcoin to hold over time, and there are also some people that 1 bitcoin is like a cent for them or very cheap for them, so if you will ask this question them, maybe it's just nothing from them.
Overall, if an average people that for them 1 Bitcoin is already huge, then overall it's very scary especially if they are already underwater, they bought like during peak or any price that is above the current price we have now.

Those who have been with Bitcoin long enough knows that bear markets do not last forever. They've been through the cycles themselves. They know for sure that Bitcoin winters are temporary, and when the price bounces back, it will surpass its previous ATH.

As for me, I think I'm immune to bear markets. If the year ends with Bitcoin falling all the way to $10,000, I think I wouldn't lose an hour of sleep. I guess it's the benefit if you're gearing up for the long-term. 2 or 3 years from now, you'll only look back at this time with a smirk on your face.

I don't hold 1+ Bitcoin, the question is why you're only asking for people who hold 1+ Bitcoin? Each person has their own monthly income, how much they buy Bitcoin every month, and how much they allocate to Bitcoin.

If a person make $1,000,000 of course he don't have any problem to buy 1 Bitcoin every month and hold it for 3-5 years since he has more money.

It's different with a person who make $50 per month and he allocate $40 to buy Bitcoin, even he already work for 500 weeks to in order to have 1 Bitcoin (let's say the Bitcoin price is $20,000). Of course he will scared if Bitcoin price is crash since it's most of their money.

The answer is you need to have risk management and only invest what you can afford to lose.

This bear market gives many small investors good opportunities to accumulate bitcoin at 2 to 3 times lower than in 2020 and 2021.

The number of addresses that hold 1+ bitcoins in increasing and now they are holding about 10% of total circulating bitcoins.

I beg to differ on this, that's why I added that this occurs at the initial stage. After years of being into Bitcoin, you become less worried about the current price as you've built confidence in the product and the protocol.
For a new hodler who just invested a couple amount if dollars into this project that they have only researched on, but not actually held in a wallet and owned, looking at the price action is expected and would be fascinating to some.

Admittedly, many new investors would exit, out of which some would return and others won't.

In my opinion, it is easier to store bitcoins during the bear season than during the bull market. Because if you are not new to this market, you know that Bitcoin is in a cycle. Due to the halving, which happens every four years, Bitcoin pulls back before it goes up and rises higher after each pullback. That's why i love bear season and see it as an opportunity. Of course, the most important issue here is whether you are a patient person. If you are entering this market with the dream of getting rich in a short time, i have to say that you will go bankrupt. You have to love to wait and be patient. If you enter the market with the last money in your pocket, waiting is not for you. Even at the smallest drops, you will panic and want to sell. If you are entering to invest, be patient. If you are entering to get rich in a short time, do not get into crypto and head to the nearest casino to you.

The ones holding more than 1 BTC are no doubt great personalities. They are present in this crypto world for more than decades. They have seen Bitcoins rising from pennies and turning into life changing asset. As they already know the worth , it won’t be any difficult task for them to hold it during the bear market. Generally the ones holding larger amount of coins, do it for long term, so yes during these mini ups and downs, these investors really don’t care. The advice that all crypto users should have is that, never panic and don’t be greedy to the market. Rest will be good.

but if you own a whole bitcoin it has more value and if the price drops your losses will be bigger. Though you have a point that it is still bitcoin and the losses are the same but talking about the value is that you'll be losing more if you invest more (which you bought a whole bitcoin).

A bear market is really a test for those who are new holders as they will tend to panic sell and those who are experienced one is they keep buying as they treat it as a sale so they would buy more if they have extra money to spend.

I'm not part of the 1+ bitcoin holder but at least I can hold enough bitcoin for me and I think anyone who currently holds bitcoin, they must already know the history of bitcoin prices from the first release to today.
the current situation is bearish and some big investors are racing to buy and collect more bitcoins to hold and wait for the price to bounce to ATH again.
but for beginners who haven't been in the crypto market for a long time, of course they will panic and will immediately sell their assets and prefer to lose without any hope of getting profits in the future.
I don't have any advice on any of this, but just some bullshit from me that bitcoin will never disappoint its investors in the future.

Now that's something good to hear about. This person holds since 2012, and here I am who started in the middle timeline of bitcoin. I might have sold my bitcoins so many times. I think if I sum up all the balances from all the addresses then there is possibility that I held around 0.10 BTC or something. However, there is catch in that. I held them back in time, meaning that would be sum of total received coins but not the current balance of that address. I am not a weak hand but I am selling them because I need them really.

I dont know, I may not able to be as strong as franky did but it would be increase my heart beats if I am holding 1 BTC and the prices are going nuts all the time.  ;D

I don't have full btc at this time but I am bitcoiner holding small amount of it and sure one day there will be 1 bitcoin with me as whenever I get chance or have some extra funds with me I invest in it.I have also withdrawn some amounts back in few years but still holding on to my investment for long time seeing great potential in it.But surely those who have more then 1 coin and still have the patience and faith to hold it will gain more profits in the future like those of early supporters.

In a bear market like this I don't care much about bitcoin's price - because I know it's value :-). What I consider is accumulating as much bitcoin as I can. With money I can afford to lose. Sometimes I sell some to buy at lower price, just to accumulate even more bitcoins. So in some sense I am quite greedy. Greedy of getting more bitcoins. The more the price decreases the more my greed increases :-) I hope I am able to keep patience and don't begin to do stupid things. We never can be sure about that.  ;)

Never you give up no matter the condition you find yourself in the bear market than to encourage yourself that the bear market will not remain forever in the market.  Those that involved patience in their long term holding always see the good side of the holding that will make them feel good for other people to learn from their holding. Many investors that hold 1 Bitcoin, don't play with their personal research which is part of the tools they use to sustain in a long bear market to have something reasonable to earn in the future.

~snip~

For those of us who have been active on the forum for many years, the bear market is nothing new, nor do we experience it too stressfully (at least it seems so to me). I will say for myself that if I witnessed the time when 1 BTC was worth even less than $200, then I have no reason to feel bad nowadays.

For those who are just starting out, I think this might be the perfect time for an investment, although it is possible that the price will be even lower in the coming months. I think that the chances for that will decrease as we get closer to the halving in 2024, of course assuming that the halving will have the same effects as it was the case in the past.

For a crypto investor, bear market conditions are not scary anymore.
Investors themselves invest in the Bitcoin crypto mainly because they have extra money that they don't use and decide to use it as a long-term investment.
Bitcoin is an asset that has a lot of enthusiasts and from time to time its supply starts to run low so it has the potential to be stored until the price really increases until it reaches its new ATH.
So it's very easy to keep holding Bitcoin with an amount of 1 or even more even though you are in a phase of bear market conditions like this.

As for my advice, I would say "Try to do some research on Bitcoin's past and see what it has achieved. If you dive deep, you will see it's potential and would never sell until the right time"

I believe anyone involved in the market has researched this, certainly everyone knows the history of bitcoin. Your advice, I am not saying they are useless but those things they can easily find on the internet. They know everything, but in my opinion, what a newbie needs most experiences, which no one can share and give advice. I was also a newbie and there is no better advice than to experience it myself. I want all newbies to experience this bear season, and they will learn their own lessons.

I hold much more. Won't go into details but something between 10 and 50 and I don't feel any pressure. Most of my coins were acquired before 2017 bull run and I went through all the fears of the 2018 bear market and through the covid crash of 2020 without selling a single bitcoin. Once you've seen bitcoin trade at $600, $15k or 10k won't scare you.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not preaching holy bitcoin here and I'm all about converting it to things I need at some point. One day Bitcoin is going to help me realize all my dreams like visiting the places that I want to go to and maybe buying myself a few toys like an electric dirt bike and a speedboat, but not yet. I can wait though, I'm not that old.

If you had 1 bitcoin when price was at its all time high and price crashes to were it is now... Is anybody going to be happy about how things have turned out... I don't think so! This is why I believe as hodlers, let's try to take out profits whenever possible, I would suggest that if you invest say $1000 let's cashout 25% @ 4X to allow our portfolio to be risk free and enjoy the crypto journey without any heartaches.

I made a few mistakes in 2016-2017, so I didn't have 1 bitcoin when the market turned red. But at least now I have some for me to hold, and I don't think there's anything special about it, just like nothing happens.

"Try to do some research on Bitcoin's past and see what it has achieved. If you dive deep, you will see it's potential and would never sell until the right time"
The problem is, when is "the right time"? I think everyone has different views and targets about it.

I am still skeptical many many investors still think the market will go down more before they will eventually get some bitcoins in their portfolio. I see every bear market as an opportunity for me to invest even though I don't have the fund to get more holdings. I is obvious that everyone see the market is different ways and this had made many to lose opportunity just like we do see more investors buying Bitcoin when the market is on a bull trend while less investors do accumulate holdings during the bear market.

The fake news and market fud had confused many persons from buying when the price is low. We will see people rushing to buy Bitcoin when the price starts going up which is why we have to be conscious on how the market react.

I know about Bitcoin when it was in hundreds but only managed to understand the potential and start investing when its probably around 2k to 3k before the bull run of 2017 so for one who managed to see both phases can survive mostly unless they fall into huge debt. But the real weak hands are new investors who invested in the last bull run now will be in a frustration or something worse.

First, let me help clear up one wrong notion here, it doesn't mean those who hold 1 whole Bitcoin unit are in for long, in fact, we have newbies that don't know a dime about bitcoin and have not spent up to a week in the bitcoin journey but yet have the finances to afford 1 or even multiple BTC since they have the funds and the price of Bitcoin is low which make it very Interesting.
If you ask me, I will say the best time to buy Bitcoin is during best market, that way the buyer will have a favorable entry price and lower risk of loss, and holding one whole Bitcoin unit gives extreme joy since the holder can easily calculate how much thousands of dollars he stands to gain if Bitcoin made a new all-time high.

My suggestion to the people that are interested in buying right now is to really think if they are sure they will be able to hold for long enough to become profitable, because it is easy to think that since the price is low already then they can buy now and they will not have too many problems holding their coins, but if the price begins to go down again then they will begin to panic and they could sell, so before doing any investment people really need to think for a long time about it as holding is nowhere near as easy as they think it is.

I'm not saying the OP's advice isn't helpful, I mean wanting them to have a real-life experience rather than a narrated experience, will not achieve maximum effect. We are where we are today because of our own market experience, not the advice of others. They need to experience and hone their knowledge and experience if they want to make a profit in the market. In the same way, if you want a high salary, you have to work better than others, lazy people don't deserve the same rewards as hard workers.

I don't really connect with that kind of terminology: bears, bulls, traps, winter, etc.

Bitcoin is money, and to be rich you simply spend less than what you make and keep the savings in Bitcoin.

There's no need to convert Bitcoin to anything else in the short term. Just use whatever you need, and save the rest.

Provide value to society and you'll get money back, spend less than the value you created, and that's it.

As you have already been told, it is unlikely that anyone would comment in this thread admitting to holding a Bitcoin or more, as a matter of minimal caution.

On the other hand, the question you raise, seems fallacious to me, as you lump everyone who has a Bitcoin or more in the same bag, when they may have very different perceptions derived from very different personal situations.

If you are a Bitcoin maximalist, and you have only 1 Bitcoin and nothing else, no cash, no gold, no houses or anything else, your net worth is only 1 Bitcoin that you have hard earn, you will see things in a very different way than if you have 1 Bitcoin but you have a paid house and another one that you rent, $1M in retirement funds, $0.5M in blue chip stiocks that pay dividends and some gold.

There is a real fact that bitcoin has been quite successful so far but that doesn't mean that we can't be careful about the current situation neither. We could both expect it to do well in the future, but we could also have some positive reactions to drops as well.

I personally made more buys during this period and I have some friends who made a lot more money from just selling at higher and made more money from buying lower levels. That is something not so confusing, it is a method that works and both of them could be great for everyone who is involved. Either buy more at lower and do DCA, or sell at the top and re-enter later on when it gets low.

Holding it right now is very hard to do especially if you purchased it on low price and hold during the peak since you will feel pressure too much pressure for losing more. I believe doing a buy back later is the most convenient choice for those who still holding that still in profit.

I have 1BTC before that I purchased during 15K price that I sold on 40k then missed the 67K peak. I restrained myself on buying back at high price and now I’m still patiently waiting on buying so I do DCA but doing power hodl is very hard to do during bear season considering that you can increase your holding by doing buy back later.

For sure it won't be that easy. We have different tolerance with market behavior. Some would be forced to sell at this point and some would be able to endure deep market downfalls. If I have such amount of asset, for sure I'd desire or hope to just hold and disregard how the market price of Bitcoin is struggling at this moment. But things does not work that way always. There will be times an investor would be pushed at edge of selling either by circumstances of just by his/her tolerance of the market behavior. Eitherway, as long as actions are validated by oneself, there should be no regrets at the end of the day.

It will appear to be wired, especially if you purchased Bitcoin at a top price of around $40–45k prior to its All-Time high. They must be very patient because selling off would actually result in a loss at this point. They ought to have taken a bigger risk by acquiring more Bitcoin to diversify their holdings if they had more money.

Those who are holding more than 1 Bitcoin than they might have mixed reactions. Those who are long term holders they might not have any kind of fear or anything else. Those who bought 1 Bitcoin at a very large price than they might be in a panic and they might soon sell Their Bitcoin and convert them in cash.

I have been in this crypto for more than 4 years now and I have seen my portfolio to go down by almost 85%, for your info that's with BTC. I have seen BTC at $3200 from $20k and I have hold all these years. Let me be honest, it doesn't hurt me much as I was always been looking got buying more as much as I was able to afford.
It will be hard to hold for people who look for a quick return while for the people who buys BTC as hedge against inflation or think long time, it won't be much hard.

I think only a small percentage of investors actually represent bitcoins as a hedge, whereas the majority of them are long term investments to make a profit. We know that this bear market certainly makes investors feel worried because the value of their portfolios has dropped dramatically. In addition, not all investors will make purchases after the value of their investment has down, but some will still make purchases on dip and dca. All depends on their financial strength, knowledge and experience. So it will definitely be difficult to find a definite answer.

Also I think some people will think bitcoin can give them quick returns but actually it's not always possible because this market is volatile. Buying on dip should be a solution for them, but of course patience is a must.

But most people I know in real life who are in bitcoin, have invested in bitcoin because of the ongoing inflation, even though bitcoin is illegal in my country. I feel for people who tried their best to own 1 btc when it was above $50k because there was a strong and clear projection that BTC will touch $100. When the $100k mission failed, many people sold their bitcoin while some others held theirs and that set of people are the once that won't feel butterflies for owning 1 btc because they bought it very expensive.

Having bitcoin must have faith and also strong patience, that way we don't really care about the decline and those who experience a decrease will get used to buying it so that the number of bitcoins owned continues to grow.
and as long as we buy it with cold money, I don't think there will be any worries in a downturn, even in a long downturn. And back to faith and patience that keeps us calm and patient even though we have passed the best opportunity before, because if we remember before, in the end the price of bitcoin will rise again even beyond its highest price.

My personal advice to them is that they should know bitcoin is a valuable assets that worths investing on rather just gamble with it, looking back the past histories of bitcoin they should know that there's a progress at all time whenever they see's bitcoin going down this way. For them to hold more longer they should avoid FUD, and fomo or even do not listen to crypto news as most at times crypto whales does that to empty the minor traders and holders.

Selling or not depends on how those with more than 1+ Bitcoin believe in their target price. the market is unstable, the bear market is not over and it continues to be rocked.
everyone has their own strategy and decisions, so what they will do will not be the same in action. some start holding and continuing to add to their bitcoin assets, some sell them gradually when the bitcoin price starts to rise, and some don't pay attention to it at all and will only be seen for the long term, maybe when a new ATH is reached.
So it also depends on everyone's patience, holding on for years and of course you will get benefits. currently the price of bitcoin is $ 16k-17k, if you are patient for another 2 years it will probably reach $ 100k. nothing is impossible in the world of crypto.

Mostly I don't care, because I hold since 2016 so I'm very much in green. And there's a lot of things going in life, I have no time to be obsessed about Bitcoin's price, I don't even check it every day.

But I do regret not selling more in 2021, because now I have some needs that might require me to sell some of my BTC at this current price, which is 4 times lower than the ATH. But again, this is life, not everything can be perfect, and I'm very far from bankruptcy, so I can't complain.

It is really an enjoyable moment and we always have a positive vibe within us when we watch the price on the market. I had chances to have 1BTC, but I wasn't able to continue it. Few years back my gambling activities brought me big win and I was able to have 2BTC, but that wasn't big. Because, I lost in the upcoming bets. When I had those complete bitcoins I wasn't aware of its goodness. Now I've well understood, but no complete bitcoin in the wallet. :o

Doesn't really feel like there's something wrong tbh. I still have those bitcoins in the wallet, and although their price are tanking, its value over time will still be positive. Also since I've been trying to average my buys for years, the current price of bitcoin isn't too far from what my stash is worth / 1 bitcoin. I can basically chill and let the market do its thing while I also have the option to buy more and further bring down the average of my buys if I wanted to (and if I have the extra money laying around that is).

It feels monotonous because the prices are stagnant. You can do nothing besides waiting for the next bull run, but at same time you have the feeling things are going to improve at some point, so it somehow gives hope to your life regards the financial aspect. Holding during the bearish market is a constant mental fight with yourself to remain patient and hopeful, while not getting upset and angry due to the crypto scammers who are just making this bearish season last longer, besides making investors lose a lot of money. Honestly, I don't know if it feels too different from holding less than 1 bitcoin...

I have been into bitcoin for quite long, since 2015 I have been investing, and I have also made a fair share of the profit that comes with the uptrend in price, and I have also seen the price go down and lost some. I never really bother much these days, because I’m just investing , and plus right from the beginning I have always seen bitcoin as this cool tech stuff and always like to have some of it stored in my different wallets, ready to HODL for as long as it takes. It’s usually better when you’re investing in bitcoin with some of your free money, that way you wouldn’t bother much about the price up and down movement. If you’re looking for quick money and eventually end up investing money that you might be in need of any time soon, then you would definitely get wrecked.

The price always recovers, you just need to learn to be patient. It’s all you can do, wait it out & better times will come, they always do.

You have seen bitcoin at 29k$, I have seen bitcoin when it was 600$ and hence my amount of held bitcoins would not matter, I would still be bullish on it.

Times when bitcoin crashed, similar sentiments have been observed in the market, but the final saying is that these cycles are continuous and a temporary phase in the market. How long the bear trend retains, depends on the type of event that started the crash, in this recent one the news was significant.

Hence the prolonged bear market, but it only means that a bull market will happen in future. You may not want to buy anymore if you have already filled your bags to the brim, just be patient and keep holding for now.

Just curious, do they do the same?
.

You don't expect them to panic during the bear, that will mean losing a large chunk of their investment. BTC is unlike other shitcoins whose value will never rise after a bear market, keeping that in mind,  holders of 1BTC+ can find solace in the fact that the price will definitely bounce back to their initial entry point and even go much higher.

Yes I think so too I believe the price of btc will rise again.  And get good profit we are very optimistic about BTC those who have more money than they need buy BTC without delay

Those people who have 1 Bitcoin in their wallet are those who are able to ignore the FUDs and market volatility and are willing to hold longer. It was different from those people who just invest a few sats who typically had worries and doubts in their mind, and easily get intense once seeing the price in red.

Long-term holders always believe that the price of Bitcoin will recover and patiently wait for the moment without making any stupid decision that will bring them losses. Perhaps they usually calm nd steadily have peace in mind that is why they don't easily get bothered despite what will happen in the market.

If I am a long-term investor, even if we are still in the current bear market I will not be concerned, because I don't care if its price value is low now. Because I believe it will increase as soon as possible and I am ready to wait even if it takes me to get old, just not to the point where I am no longer in this world.

But if I'm not patient and impatient, maybe this time I'll probably sell my bitcoin little by little until I don't realize it's running out.

I don't really care if it is 1 BTC or 0.078 BTC or 1.437 BTC. It is still bitcoin which is previous and we should try to hold every possible satoshi we can for the future.
As long as the bear market is concerned it will get over at some point of time and we should feel lucky to buy more bitcoin at such cheap prices.
We never know if we would be able to see bitcoin again at these prices or not.

To me I don't think their is anything new in holding during the bear market, maybe because am used to it already, the only thing I do during the bear market is that I do use the opportunity to accumulate more bitcoin, I see bear market as opptunity but most people don't really understand that, whenever their is bear market, most people do panic but I don't panic, the only people that should panic are the once holding shit coins because must of shit coins won't survive the bear market, that's why I always advice people to invest only in bitcoin.
And what would you suggest to the people entering the market recently and having thoughts about selling their share of BTC? What's your advice to them?
I know must newbies will definitely panic in this bear market, since they haven't experienced this kind of market condition before. I always advise people to have patience and hold, Bitcoin is going to bounce back but I don't think anybody knows when that will happen.

It's true, because I aim for long-term investments, I won't worry about it, especially if I start in 2022, you can say it's still relatively new, while long-term investments take a long time, even years, so I don't feel anxious or worried, I'll wait until I get lots of bitcoins from low price.
I won't be a panic person when the bear market gets nervous, I won't worry too much about this I aim for the long term if it's not the time then of course we don't have to be afraid of a bear market situation

At the moment I still can't collect 1 BTC because I don't buy 1 BTC all at once but by means of the DCA strategy which allows me to take a long time to reach 1 BTC, even though it's still too far away I never get tired of doing DCA.

Those who have doubts about an asset should not invest in it.

This is like a relationship and if there is no trust then there is no meaning of having that relationship, which in turn ends up being toxic rather than fruitful. Here the toxicity is the frustration of having to hold a low performing asset or the pain of not getting good valuation profits in a short time.

Be it one bitcoin or more or less than that, your goal should be clear, you sell at the bull market and buy at the bear market. Be patient about the profits because this is not a get rich-quick game.
