Title: [OPEN] Charity Signature and Avatar Campaign - Auction for ColdKey victims Post by: Helena Yu on January 20, 2023, 02:34:00 PM There's a charity auction created by smoothie (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434623.0) to help the victim scammed by Coldkey/yogg. The charity auction is expected will begin from January 31st 2023, you can donate any collectible or you can join the auction for those collectibles that have been donated.
Currently there are 23 collectibles have been donated from several forum members (smoothie, Frank AlpenCoin, Henkcryptotank, QuakerBull, Kryptowerk, Est2013, Humble Bitcoiners, DaveF, NovemberMan, geophphreigh, polymerbit, raritycheck, Mbitr, MrCryptHodl, minerjones, and ClayCastCrypto). In order to give an awareness about the charity auction, I've create a charity signature campaign. This is a free campaign, so don't expect you will get paid by wearing the signature, avatar, and personal text. Although it's a free campaign and there's no campaign manager, anyone shouldn't spam or creating low value post. You don't have to leave any application post in order to participate the campaign. This charity campaign will end when the charity auction is already end too. It's hard to swallow what yogg did, utterly disgusting but that's between him and the people who trusted his business. If we really need a charity awareness then do it for members who need blessing or even support with money. The situation of yahoo deserves something to show from us. Have a campaign to show love and support for him. There are many members, right now who need money may be for medical expense, food, shelter including all basic needs. Give them a platform to take help from us. We lost many members, may be have a wall of fame in their memory to show them love and respect of whatever they earned from the community. Yogg scammed a group of people. There are many members who are scammed by others. If you think yogg's scam effected people need this awareness then what about those who were scammed by many others? It's not proven, I mean we can not verify but what about julerz12, he seems to be a victim too. Don't you think he needs some support from all of us? Obviously there will be always some people who will abuse everything you will do. By holding charity auctions, yall are essentially reducing the impact of the loss on the victims, but it does not change the fact that they were aware of the risks and made the decision to invest. Charity should not be used as a means of absolving individuals of their personal responsibility. It should be viewed as a way to provide support and assistance to those in need. I believe the victims have learned their lesson and will avoid any form of business that does not give them full control over their assets; that's why anything that takes control of your funds away from you should be avoided.
