Title: What is your earliest Gambling Story?
Post by: tread93 on February 02, 2023, 10:33:24 PM
I'll tell you mine. I was 16 on a Royal Caribbean cruise with my parents. I took $10 from dads wallet and went out on the town  ;) I stopped into the casino on deck, worked that $10 in to a $20 in the coin machine. Then I went to the roulette table and doubled my money 3 times and got up to $160, then I bet it all on black and lost it all! Or wait, was it red? Oh I don't remember hahah. They did come around and bring me plenty of drinks. Luckily I looked old enough to be in there, was even 6 feet tall back then, athletic, football player. I made the cut. Fun times! Learned a very valuable lesson there though. This is why I don't gamble. What's a good gambling story that you'd like to share? Hit the comments section! Thanks guys.

I guess the first time to go inside a casino, I can't remember as well hehehe, but I'm old enough to gamble so I went with my friends. Still very old and I don't remember any free drinks that time, and all the slot machines used to dispensed those huge tokens and then you go to the cashier and cash them out.

Unlike in the last 10 years or so wherein there is entertainment, you can have a card inserted to get points and perks while playing. And when you are done and want to exit a game, then you will have that paper that you can used in other games or go directly to the cashiers.

Mine is with the old friends during my teenage days too that I've just seen gambling and playing on a table with a friendly poker game. And that all started or that's the oldest that I can remember where gambling of mine has been formed.

It's like that I were influenced by them and then the vibe has been shared until I am the one that has developed the urge of knowing more other games and learning them how to be played.

Your story looks more like an adventure to me with so regret of which you would have gone with the $160 you made which you would have used it for something else. Your confidence of playing different kind of games to win .more money makes you to loss all your earning in a single seating. That's a lesson to everyone of us to always leave gambling whenever we win a big money or double our Capital. This had also happen to me before making so much money in different bets I played that particular day.
I ended up losing everything thing because of greed. Greed is one of the major problems of gamblers.

Mine was as early as Kinder or 1st grade if I'm not mistaken but not in a traditional casino. It is just within our community/neighborhood and it's quite common in our country to see a kid doing gambling at that age. Doing flipcoin even in school during break time or before classes in start in Elementary is very common among boys. Most probably, part of our culture.

My earliest gambling story is not with casinos. I cannot recall the exact moment but it must have been at school back in the elementary days when we were 7 or 8 or around that. We used to play with our pocket money. We had coins and they were supposed to be for buying snacks during recess, but we gambled them. Games like tossing your coin to an opponents coin near enough to be reached by the middle finger and the thumb of one of your hands, or bouncing your coin to a wall with the same goal, and some others were the usual games.

My mom would usually let me bring food rather than money-- pancakes, sandwich, biscuits, banana, or whatever. But we had a small store back then and I took some coins from the cash box, so I still had money. But they weren't all for gambling. I also bought food with it.

The earliest time is around 10 years ago, when I was still a student I used to hang around internet cafes and play a lot of games, eventually I got good at one of the games and I was recruited to play a stake match and it involved several students as they placed their money on us to win the match. I still can't forget that first experience since I felt tense and I couldn't keep myself calm when there was a lot of money on the line it's actually not a lot though mostly it's just saved up lunch money.

In my country casinos and gambling are prohibited, so I didn't have much contact with them early on.

But, I remember very well an afternoon I spent in the company of my uncle and my father... we were in a bar, with many pool tables, foosball, and there was also a "video game" with hypnotizing flashing lights 8)

I pestered my dad a lot to play there, I think I was like 12, and then he finally bought me some coins.
I confess that I was quite frustrated, because the toy seemed to be interesting, but it was very boring, I couldn't understand how to "play" and quickly my chips ran out.

I never saw that machine again, I think the police seized it, and it took me a few years to understand what a slot machine was.

The earliest bet I made was at the end of elementary school, in a World Cup's match. Each student who accepted participating the betting pool should give 0,40$ to place a guess (it should be exact final score, not only guessing the winner). Some have accepted the deal, but money wasn't collected in advance. So, after the match only one student (lucky guy) matched the correct result and won the full prize, although at least one of the class mates didn't bring the money, as previously agreed, as far as I remember.

One of my most rememberable early gambling story was when I was getting into gambling newly, a friend of mine came in with a bet slip where he won over $300 converted into my lovalm currency and Immediately I got the news, I went straight to the same casino and went to do a random bet and fortunately for me , I won something very little but was the very first time in my life that I could remember that I truly wanted what was someone's own but that doesn't mean I was envious but I truly wished it was me that did the winning because I was making losses without any win not until the day I went to the same casino he staked his games and I aso won something same day.

Ehhh this is a good question. I think it all depends on what type of gambling we are talking about. I started playing poker ( or texas hold'em to be more specific) when I was like 18 years old or so and we of course bet money.  I think my first casino experience was when I was around 18-19 and it was on a river boat lol.

My main first bet though was a super bowl where I bet like 100 bucks on it using an online casino.  Then I found out that when you cash out, you get sent checks and they look shady and take forever to come.  When I found out they started offering bitcoin as a payment option..game changer!

My first casual gambling was with my friends in primary school. A friend had cards and taught us to play poker. We didn't have any money so we broke up a match box and divided matches equally among players. After a few games I got good enough to hold the biggest pile of matches at the end. We had so much fun when there was no money on the line.

My first real gambling experience was when we started betting on football matches. We'd put our money together on one team and then buy some beers and go watch the match together.

Earliest gambling story, I guess it all starts around the circle of your friend, when you're watching your favourite sport. I remember betting around $20 for the Lakers against the Orland Magic in 2009, I my memory serves me right, it was the game 4 of the Finals. We pooled our money together to place a bet to someone inside a sports bar. That was actually crazy, coz that $20 I've got is part of my tuition fee back in college.
That was the betting experience that me and my friends made and call it "double the risk, double the fun and the reward".

P.s I was turning 20 during that time, so yeah I'm in a legal age to enter a bar and place a bet of course lol.

This takes me back, my very first experience with gambling was decades ago when video game arcades were everywhere, if someone was good at a particular arcade they literally camped there and waited for anyone else to begin to play the video game.

They will watch you and evaluate your skill and if they thought they could beat you they will simply challenge you to a bet, if you did not accepted then not only they will defeat you but anytime you wanted to play at that arcade they will challenge you and not let you play at all until you accepted the bet, this was closer to extortion than a bet as almost no one could beat them, but in one of the fondest memories of my childhood I was able to beat one of those players at my favorite video game several times, so from that moment on not only I could play at my favorite arcade whenever I wanted but I even earned some money out of it.

this thread reminds me of the bad times when I first started gambling.
In the past, when I was 13 years old, I became a very naughty boy when I saw my father gambling at the poker table and I saw my father win the game. after that when my father came home I was taking a shower I secretly took the money in his bag about $ 50 and after that I went to the market.
at that time, in my country, gambling was not yet strictly prohibited and in several places, such as markets and other places, there were slot machine games. well in I went to the market and exchanged my money into coins to play Slot machines. some time I continued to play almost to the end of the money I held and in the end I lost.
at that time I didn't like being beaten by a slot machine and after that I tried to see under the slot machine there were a few coins and I took them. but when I picked up the coins that fell I saw a hole and I tried to put my finger in the hole and I found out it was a slot machine coin storage hole.
and in the end, when it was quiet, I continued to play using my friend's money, but while I was squatting, I took a coin under the slot machine in that hole. and after the game is over i trade those coins up to $300 (so crazy i am). and this is not the result of winning on a slot machine but stealing from the slot machine's bottom hole :D

As a gambler for a long, I can't recall when is the first time I engage in gambling or what's the earliest story I can share here.

Honestly speaking, even with no money at risk, there is a form of gambling here way back in my childhood days when playing cards was at stake. Eventually while growing up, slowly engaged in gambling with real money at risk and the rest of history.

Surely, those who still remember their earliest gambling story aren't that typical gambler. Or am I wrong here? :)

I was in high school. I had a friend that was a complete addict. We were betting on sports. Everyday we were doing our research by reading the sports news in the morning and then place our bets during the lunch break. I was winning some and losing some. Then I had a bad run  and I started to lose a lot. I realized that I was losing money instead of making money and I started to gamble less. My friend however, kept playing even though he wasn't doing good too. One day he hit the jackpot. He won the big prize. A week later he bought himself a nice car, left the school and I have never seen or heard from him again.

I still smile when I think about the day when I went on holiday with my family to an expensive Casino & Hotel that we could actually not afford on our income.. but we needed the break..so we forked out the money for it.

I played on some coin operated slots, but it did not want to pay... so I ordered a few drinks and just watched other people play. I noticed that one slot paid out regularly on a set pattern... and I waited for people to fill it.... and when they left.. I jumped and played on it ..until it paid out enough winnings to pay for our whole holiday.  ;D

From your story, you seem greedy to get a bigger win even though you have already managed to get $ 160. You should stop when you have won that much money and not continue gambling. I'm sure the casino will not stay silent, seeing you can succeed in getting a lot of money and will prevent you from getting more money and it finally proved. You have lost.

I remember I played gambling not in the casino but at my friend's house by playing cards together. Maybe it's not gambling but we use money when playing cards to see who is really an expert among us. The result of the game I lost but a friend who managed to win all the money bought food and drinks for all of us.

Our earliest gambling story always sounds like an adventure. We remember doing it not for the wins but for the thrill of it. Maybe peer pressure because we did not want to be the odd one left out when our buddies discussed or banter about their bet. In the place where I live, most persons remember their earliest gambling story not in a brick and mortar casino, not in an online casino but in a corner shop bet shop. We went there as 17year olds. It was more about camaraderie than about winning. Then, we used our limited pocket money($20). And we split it, because we would rather buy fancy sunglasses, cheap wristwatches, to impress the girls than gamble.

I can't really remember well what my age was at that time, but my first ever gamble was in a carnival (except for those friendly betting games in school when we were children). I remember playing the color cube game, in which you need to bet on a certain color, and if those color cubes are the same color you bet on, you will double your money. It was fun at first as I was winning, but later on I lost. It was so addicting to me that every after school I would go there to gamble. After a few weeks, they are gone as they need to transfer to another place, which forced me to stop playing.

It is not my earliest story but is the best that have happened to me so far.I was going to the offline casinos back in 2005-2007 as the online ones were not mainstream and crypto didn't even exist at those times.I had this habit to go every weekend and play till late night as I was single and not married back then,I used to lose a lot of times but one lucky day for me and not the person standing near me came. The slots were like 8 of the same kind in a form of a circle where everyone up to 8 person could be playing, this guy spent a lot and I mean a lot of money while we were playing simultaneously and soon after the slot place I was playing gave me that maximum jackpot of the slot back then of 20.000 dollars and this guy was shocked,I felt sorry for him but it was my night back then, took the money and got home.

Laughing... you were lucky that they relocated, who knows if you would have been a big addict by now. Because loving gambling from childhood is a clear sign of addiction.
But when they left your school, how or when did you find another place to gamble. And did you enjoy the second place of gambling and do you enjoy gambling till date?

I've probably told this a few times here tbh. It was back in my high school days, I wasn't necessarily the one that started it, I just joined the trend. Heck in the first place, I wasn't even playing with money, I just joined in for fun, we were playing a variety of card games back then like poker, blackjack, and some other local types (can't really remember what they're called). One time I got pretty much enticed to join in with money involved, I lost like $10, $15 back then, which was a lot at the time (especially if you consider how I was still a hs student).

Wasn't really a bad experience, it was actually fun imo.

My early history of gambling was playing cards when I was a teenager, and at first I was just a spectator and some of the people who played it were my friends and there were also my parents. And finally I had the desire to be able and taught by my friends and finally I played, at first I didn't know much about card games and always lost playing. But strangely I always want to play until I really can and also feel the victory several times.
and card games were often played almost every night and this made me often stay up late and also steal my parents' money to be able to play, and at that time card game activities were not too dangerous and still safe or very free, but gradually became strict and not again safe and if caught by the police will be jailed. And what made me stop playing again was when the place where I was playing with my friends was on a raid, and it happened that I was not at the location, and all my friends who were at that location were taken to the police station.
and this was my first experience of gambling and after that incident I didn't gamble anymore, but over time I found another card gambling game with different friends and finally I got involved again and played every weekend and in a hidden place. And over time, I finally got to know online gambling and continued to gamble because there were many games that made me switch to online gambling and it was also very safe, comfortable and could be played anytime and anywhere.

My earliest real-life gambling was I was around high school. I used to play computer games and have people come over and play with us, and it's a betting match in which youwillo win the pot if you win BO3. If you are playing around with money, that's considered gambling already, so that's what I have for the earliest gambling story.

Some of which as well are made in a carnival; I enjoyed playing dice games back then. Now it's fully online.

I was still young, 14 maybe, or 15 years old. My eyes are already wide open about card gambling with my friends and relatives but the stakes are only for small amounts. Coins, usually.
My biggest bet though was also a card game but using a different type of card, the Spanish one. Here in the Philippines we traditionally put a gambling game during the wake of a dead relative to get donations from the profits of the game itself or from the people playing it.
The simple rule is placing your bet on a card that you think will come out first in pairs. You get x18 if you hit it right.
I am winning already with what I think is "beginner's luck" and after I claim my prize, I bought beers for me and my friend, then I let him handle the betting.
It continued for like 5 streaks until we found ourselves losing 5 more. That's when we stopped knowing we are already in profit and could just share the prize. The beers continued until we got drunk.

now prefer to play gambling via mobile phones even though sometimes I miss my childhood  :D

I was not comfortable playing with friends as they bet on their own money against themselves which should be where my gambling story should began, but I do not like betting with friends because I do not want to win their own money and I do not want them to win my money, because of that I was not gambling when I was under age, my friends gambled in high school and we were not adults at the time, but I like being with them. My gambling story begin in February 2014, I went to ATM machine to fund my betting account that I just registered, it was a local betting site, I gambled without having much experience or knowledge about football and I won the money, this makes me to gamble more and I later lost all the money.

At least you got the drinks  ;)

I haven't really visited a physical casino yet but I do plan to visit one to get the feel of it.
I do online gambling and I don't even remember how I started it. I guess it was on freebitco.in where I earned some free sats and played multiply BTC high low game.
Then I started playing crash game on one of the most popular crash game site back then.
I don't remember the name now but I gambled a lot on the crash games. Thats how it all began.

Being a beginner when we all started from the compound yard within the neighborhood playing together with friends on games like seek and hide, we begin to advance to see seniors betting and they advance to gambling which eventually involved using their money  while we still exchange our own playing materials for the local child play home gambling we practice, then as time goes we also begin to see how the real time gambling is abd begin to go to the gambling casino shops to watch sports and men gambling which is now what we turned to be as professional gamblers today.

I started gambling when I was in the university in sportbook,I had this friend in my faculty that gets his result from his friends at home. He will come to my house and say that he has a good game to play and that if am interested,he will help me out with the game. I don't believe him at first but after two games which he won,I was like wow, this guy must be a genius. I started giving him money to stake for me on his predictions, because I thought it is a good means for me to make extra pocket money. As for card playing,I started it with my course mates, anytime we are bored but to make it more lively and interesting we decided to stake with something little.

Yeah, same here! It was back in my high school days too. A bunch of my friends started placing bets at sportsbooks on their commute to and from school. And, when all my friends were doing it, I felt like I had to join in. It's pretty funny to think about it now, but at the time, there wasn't even a law in place in my country to prevent underage gambling. Times have definitely changed!

We were just playing for fun, you know, just to pass the time. But then one day, I started losing more than I could afford. It was a wake-up call for me and I realized that gambling with real money wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. But hey, it was a good lesson learned and now I just stick to playing for fun.

    -   It's a pity, it should be a win but you don't stop because you're terrified of thinking that luck won't go away from you, so luck didn't agree with you but bad luck agreed with you hehe...

Next time, op, don't allow greed in your mind, and don't let your emotions get too much. When you see that you have won 1000 with your small capital, stop immediately, just like what the others did with discipline.

I was working as an apprentice in an electrical workshop and I was given a few bucks by our boss for my lunch. I saw a man holding a slip of paper and was discussing it with our foreman. When I got close they were discussing about a gambling number that was a sure game. I picked interest and told them that I was interested. Then there was nothing like online gambling because all of them were physical. He gave us the numbers and our foreman appreciated the man with some money. He rushed to the gambling house and stacked the money from both of us. I returned to the workshop and started planning what I will do with my wins because the man strongly assured us that the games would definitely play. After a few days, I ran to the game house only to discover that we had all lost the bet. The foreman was so angry because he staked with a large sum of money, while I was not happy because I went home hungry that day.,

Yeah, should have been a big win and taken the chips, but I was young and stupid and didn't know that my luck would run out as I was so inexperienced and it was my first time. I was on a hot streak with doubling my money and I remember thinking after I lost it all in one foul sweep that I should have stuck to the $40 bets after I got to the $160 range to have more chances to increase the money. Hindsight is always 2020! But even though I lost, I really only lost the $10 I initially took from my dad's wallet. I'm sure he would get a kick out of this story, i've never told him but now plan on it. I also still owe him $10 hahahah The first doubling from the $10 to $20 was the most fun part for me though. It was one of those coin machines that you drop the coin in and there is this moving horizontal bar that moves back and forth pushing the coins up and they fall over into a bed and you try to move the coins in such a way to win the cash prize that's sitting on top of all those coins. Hopefully you know what i'm talking about that, I want to find another one of those machines that was so much fun haha

See that's just it, it was greed that ultimately won that day. But not winning the money actually saved me a lot because to this day I have not ever had a problem with gambling, nor have I sought out to go and gamble at a casino. Maybe here or there once in a blue moon I'd buy a $1 or $2 scratch off ticket, or drop a few bucks in a slot machine in an airport or something. Really the only gambling I do now is with Fantasy football but even that is no more than $100 a year.

Hmm i don't know if this one can be counted. My first gambling experience was last 2018 if I am not mistaken, that time i only saw one of my friend's post showing his bets and the amount he was able to obtain in gambling by just using this script and pattern in dice game in bitsler, I really don't want gambling but then it makes me like it not because his tricks are proven correct which is not but because I can feel being thrilled and makes me feel nervous in every bets that i am making that time.

My first gambling story was playing cards which is pretty normal in my country especially during the funeral wake.
You'll see a lot of minors here playing with cards and the Bingo, this has been part of our culture and I guess many started their gambling journey with this as well  without realizing the possible risk of getting exposed that early. I can say that I still manage to control myself and be more responsible, gambling is fund if you are playing with your friends but more risky if you do this alone without any control.

I gambled for the first time when we were playing arcade games with friends. We used to go to arcade together and we all had a limited number of coins to play so we'd gamble witch each other by betting on games and certain players. We'd play mortal kombat and each person would bet a coin on themselves so that if they won they'd be able to play for free by getting the opponent's coin. If they won again they'd stay in the match and get another coin and be able to play another free game and so on. It was harmless gambling.

Gambling you mean either physical casino or online right because I don't have any experience yet when it comes to a casino because there's no nearby casino in our place that's why whenever I'm gambling, I'm doing it online.

Well, my earliest gambling story was way back when I'm still at the primary level. In the months of March to May, a group of people are coming into our town and building these small gambling places (don't know the correct term for it TBH) where you will pick where the ball will land and if you guessed it correctly, you win. That's a form of gambling still right? :D. Anyway, at that time, I was addicted at that game to the point where I'm getting all of my saved money just to have money to be used to play or gamble at that time. What's the ending? I lost all of them but hey, I'm still at primary level at that time so I didn't feel disappointed or any bad feelings.

I just wish that this year, I can experience going into a real casino but when I will go there, I will not get too much money because I knew how they can manipulate you to spend more money.

Don't really remember old stories about good experiences in gambling, but I will tell you the latest, namely in December when I can get quite positive results several times in slot games and from sportbetting, the initial goal is just to get a Christmas giveaway but can get more but of course things like this will not always be obtained because gambling will always be about winning or losing

I laughed when I read about your initial experience of getting to know about gambling because it was the same as me who first started getting to know about gambling when I was still in school and it was not appropriate to gamble.
However, because of an invitation from some of my friends to join and watch them play gambling, I became curious so I tried to do it too.
From there I started to like gambling and over time there were more and more types of gambling that I knew about until I tried them all.
However, at that time gambling was still face-to-face. I and some friends were not familiar with online gambling platforms and we kept playing until we got to know online gambling and were really addicted to playing online gambling until now.

My earliest gambling story was many years ago I think I was 20 years old. I traveled from the countryside to the city to visit my uncle.
It was on a Friday and he wanted to show me around town,we visited some very nice places, and then ended up at a pub with a slot machine. Prior to this time I had only seen slot machines in the television but seeing it in real life made me curious and I wanted to try it out.
We talked to the attendant and I play the slot all I can remember was winning about $10. It didn't matter what mattered was that I had satisfied my curiosity. I would later go on to seek out stores with slot machines when I got on campus as an undergraduate student.

Same with mine too. We were in elementary years back then when we used to play poker game with my cousins but there was no money bet that time. Once you lose, we will snap on your fingers until you feel the pain. But when we reach teenage years, that’s when the time we start betting on poker but just a very small amount of money left from our school pocket. Maybe that was my first time to gamble and from then on, I have developed my gambling interest and now, I am already gambling in selected casinos of my choice.

This reminds me of the old time when my friend and I will team up to gamble with someone that is not a friend and using all possible means to make sure the person lose. I do not gamble with friends but I gamble with people that are not my friend and I which to win and spend their money. But it is now the days that we can visit casino or gamble online, it is more of fun to be with my friends, gambling together at times, supporting one another to stake a better match or game.

The environment I grew up from, influenced me a lot,I started gambling on dice since I was in high school. After school hours,we will wait behind or during break time,we will go to an isolated area in the school premises to roll dice.

I did this for sometimes before,I realized that dice is a fast money taker and I switched over to playing poker. I learn poker from my uncle who is a core gambler,in the beginning,it was fun and before I knew it,I started gambling on other games. Video games was the one we gamble most time after I was through with high school because I was so addicted to video games.

Mime was during my elementary days. I was in 4th grade at that time and my classmate introduced gambling to me. She brought me to a local carnival that offers color games and told me that I could have my money doubled or trippled. I was convinced and felt really excited so I bet using my fare allowance. At first, I was hesitant but since she has shown me how the game works, I felt really excited though my hands were shaking before because I already know that what we were doing was gambling and my mom will surely get mad at me. I bet using my food and fare allowance and lost all of it. I was so upset and cried hard. I haven't had any lunch at that time and went home on foot. That was the first lesson that I experienced. Not to bet the funds that we can't afford to lose. I have never gone to the carnival with my friend again.

Man!  First of all, if you don't like to bet on the consequence of your fleeting and childish visit to a casino, what is the point of your post.

You want to listen to the game experience for what?

I say I could recommend that a childhood experience should not be a linear one to have a failed reference to the game.

Go and have fun!, the good or bad past with betting is just a point reference.

Some games at the local carnival were my first exposure to gambling. I didn't know that it was that serious, because you simply just bet on the color that you want to win and they just roll the dice with different colors. Whichever color shows at the top, that's what pays and wins. Bet amounts were very low too, and never know it becomes serious when it's the dead of the night. Anyway, since then the concept of betting became stuck in my head, and I kinda got hooked up to it during high school though luckily studies got the better of me and I focused on something more worthwhile than gambling.

I can say that I was a late bloomer in gambling. One time, my co workers are tol busy in one corner of our office. They are all doing online gambling and they cheer each other. Due to my curiosity, I asked them where to download the game and how to play it because I was too bored since they were all busy during our break time. I have explored the site and tried betting on it. I have won a few times but then lost everything in the long run. That's when I have learned that gambling has a big risk and it's not for everyone.

Double your money 3 times? I think that was confusing :D but you said you start with $20 on the roulette so if you double it, you will only end up with $40 and if you triple it, you will only end up with $60. If you really end up with $160 then that should be 8 times from what you have started which was $20. Anyway, congrats for achieving all of this despite the fact that you are only just a kid. I am an adult now but I admit that I am struggling to achieve what you did there.

I think that's because as an adult we consider the risk but kids are usually careless plus it wasn't their hard-earned money that they are spending so they got nothing to lose.

My earliest gambling story which I don't think I will ever forget is using the last money I had on me to gamble all because a friend of mine showed me the money he won from gambling.

I too decided to try my luck, it was my first time of gaming ever, I gambled with the last money with me, won a few buck at first but later lost it all back to casino..
I guess I have a similar story with the OP.

I haven't really had a story to tell about my youthful experiences though...
I worked as a cashier in a casino shop for a while and -- apart from claiming bets from customer who prove too stubborn that they'll leave Thier houses to a casino without some cash or Thier card, I haven't actually placed a direct bet with my own cash. I did so once when someone was tired of wagering at a lost and asked that I give an option to play, then when I wagered for him, he won and recovered atleast, one-quarter of his cash and expenses that day. I have also been a victim of betting cash over mutually tough games like the p5 and chess; that ofcourse isn't part of a casino just yet.

This story seems a bit realistic, You are on cruise yet you choose to visit random casino on your tour and waste time just to wager your 10$ bills? Besides you add up your body built type to cover the suspicion about your age while casino checks the ID of customer especially if you are not a regular player in there. Besides cruise has a time limit in every destination and it will careless to go in the casino which everyone forget about time just to play while you are already on a very good vacation?  ::)

Answering the title, I first gamble when I’m 8 years old on the street local poker. I bet only on side bet since adult won’t allow me to take seat because of my small money and also because of legal issue.

Funny enough gambling actually runs in the family, from my elder brother back then in secondary school to my junior, we all have a thirst of gambling at a really young age. Mine i could remember vividly was when I was about 17+ years and i sneak out of class with my friends to go and play a PlayStation 1 game and sega games but we would gamble on each other with some cash to see who actually becomes champions and we toss in some embarrassing task for the lossers of the betting. Although it not an official gambling like the ones in the gaming and casino hall but we can still call gambling

In our place, gambling was common before the law made it illegal. I don't remember the details, but the first time I gambled was around the age of 11-12. I remember very well, every time there was a wedding, celebration, we and other neighbors would help the host to prepare for the event. In the evening, traditional gambling will be held in several groups. usually each group has four players, and all gamble for fun.

My first gambling was playing rummy, or playing dominoes and our place was called Gaple. this game is fun, because it's purely for fun with low stakes, just to enliven the event and fill spare time while enjoying the atmosphere of the night. Along with the progress of time, traditional gambling has transitioned into casino gambling. some of them, do not apply in the gambling market and disappear by themselves. apart from all that, this thread reminds me of a memory that actually never crossed my mind and memory again. So, thank you for making me smile remembering the past.

Cheers

The first time i go into a casino is on the time where my auncle decides to play on here.Cant really deny that he had some the money or simply we could say that his rich for him to hang out into this place which

not every common or ordinary person would really be able to access or hang on because we do know that this do talks huge money.Yes, you could wander around but you could really point out that most people
hanging around are to those who do have the money. On that time then its really that amazing due to some crowd and some fancy lighting and some beautiful ladies around which is a basic
thing.Until the time that i do have money to bet on then the first thing i had touched up is into those machine slots.  :D

I think my first gambling story is when I was at the carnival and start playing slot games  which I think I was still in a grade level that time. Luckily, the location is just a walk away from our home so my cousin and I were used to go there just trying our luck to hit the jackpot. Although I was not able to bring home the jackpot prize, but I never go home empty handed as I have also won some consolation prizes like food or beverages that mostly kids will love. So when I grow older, the interest to gamble just keeps growing until I finally end up in a casino betting.

That's how many teenagers start with gambling. They bet on sports teams or when a fight is about to break out at school they bet on one of the fighters.

We do it naturally because it makes the match more exciting. We look for adrenaline in everything we do and betting money gives that adrenaline.

For me my first bets were slot machines at a nearby bar. I was officially too young to play but nobody cared. I also liked those coin shaking machines where you could throw a coin and make more coins fall down.

Yeah, we basically have started with that simple gambling and it wasn't money yet since we don't earn for a living. Like for the sports that we've got in our neighborhood which mostly are football and basketball and even in boxing.
Those local games that we play together with our childhood friends and it's okay on them as long as there's no money involve but, little did we know that it's already gambling since there's an exchange for winners and losers.

Aside the fact i gambled with my father as i was kid, i would like to count only things where i was actually gambling with my own money.

I think i started with physical slots as they were everywhere. But those weren't paying a lot. First real gambling experience was when i went to casino. I didn't know what i was doing but i won money in table games i played first time.

I got back money i spend on shops that day and needless to say it was such a positive experience that i went again next week. Won some more money and i was hooked

Where part of my family lived there used to be some bingo games and lotteries organized by the community. My parents used to participate during vacations and took me there with them, my mother asked me to mark the numbers/animals on her bingo sheets whenever one was announced.

It was perceived as a social activity rather than gambling, but technically, it was gambling.

Years later, It started to play dices a few times 2020 with Satoshis I earned through faucets.
