If bitcoin crash today, what will be your fate? Poor or rich. Most people on the platform have submitted all their life savings to bitcoin investment. There was once a man in my area who sold his house to invest in a local platform called BARAZAR in 4 months missive the so-called BARAZAR was shoot down and now he does not have a cottage. So I ask again if bitcoin crashed today what will be your description rich or poor?

You wont be poor if you have invested on the money you can afford to lose.
You wont be poor as long you dont realize those losses on your portfolio
You wont be poor as long you dont panic sell.

On the time that you had decided on making up some investment towards this market then you should make yourself that embrace on things that might encounter along the way specially with volatility.
There's no way that we could really be able to know on what would be ahead.If ever Bitcoin would crash today then i would definitely be finding some sources for me to accumulate more.
As long the demand and interest is intact on bitcoin then chances or tendency for some recovery is really that likely.So better buy on the bottom as always.

There’s a lot of uncertainty with Bitcoin, and if you depend on that much you’re probably on a big trouble once this market collapse. Going all in is not advisable at all regardless of your reason, because for me its greed and being greedy can’t help you that much. I'd still go to work and probably hold on whatever coins I have. I'm at the point wherein bitcoin is a nice investment to have, but not a necessity to me since my job pays for my needs and some wants anyways. I haven't devoted a lot to bitcoin except for my time and some $$$ that is not too serious compared to others who bet on their life savings on it.

If all hell breaks loose in bitcoin tomorrow, I'd be one of the lucky ones who only lost time and some hundreds of $$$ to it based on what I have right now lol.

If Bitcoin crash down today it wouldn't really affect me much since I only invest what I could, I didn't put up too much to it and I didn't depend too much on it.

What platform? Are you talking by yourself? You didn't even spesifically mentioning what platform it is. How can you say people used all of their life savings to bitcoin?

Why don't you tell him to get a real job? Get a real job. You won't be rich or poor. Even if bitcoin crashes to zero value and nothing happens to you. Only dump people who used all of what they had to invest in the volatile assets.

I am one of those people that have most of my life savings in the form of bitcoin. It's a bet of my lifetime that will surely change my life or should I say that it has already changed my life and that's why I'm trusting more bitcoin as my investment and put a lot on it than saving it on a bank that will just take inflation's hit.

Well, comparing that investment to bitcoin, we can conclude that bitcoin is totally out of this world and far from that sketchy name that man has invested.

The best answer to your questions could be diversification. If an investor carefully understands the risks associated with his investment and invests accordingly without the requirement to go all in on a single asset and investing your total or more than total portfolio, then there is zero chance that an investor will feel bad for their investments. And the type of crash you expect from btc is not possible now because times were different when only the retail money controlled btc but now, big giants have betted their money on crypto so that crash is not an easy task to take place.

That would be very bad for me, because Bitcoin is a large share of my net worth, well over 50%. But I used the profits from the last bull market to buy other assets, so it wouldn't be a complete disaster for me. I hope to see at least one bull market with prices over $50k to get more money out of Bitcoin and into other assets to further diversify my portfolio.

It won't affect me much, because I don't have big holding of bitcoin. I'm hard believer of bitcoin, but I was not in a situation to invest. What I earn gets used for regular needs. I've been trying for a long to hold something for long term and I wasn't able to do it. Hope by 2024 I'll make something and when you have the ability to hold, there is nothing to worry on Bitcoin crash.

People are always searching for the next bitcoin. Wanting to be an early adopter on the next big thing. While those who lived in past eras might only have one big opportunity available to them in their lives. Today modern people are lucky enough to have access to multiple opportunities during their lives. We simply do not try as hard to make the most of them. While a big crash could be a negative event. Hopefully, it might also have some positive effect. There would be an upside to it which could be difficult to quantify.

Hopefully, everyone is diversifying between digital and hard assets. While digital assets are very convenient in terms of them being electronic, there have been many attempts to destroy the internet over the years. DNS servers have been mass DDOS'ed. There have been attempts to sever portions of the internet backbone. It is known that nuclear warheads detonated over the surface of the earth can produce an EMP effect, which would neutralize electronic devices. There certainly is no shortage of scenarios for digital assets being lost. In which case, hard assets that are physical must be a necessity to any investment strategy.

If bitcoin will crash today, to the point that no value, then we will just return to our usual daily life activity during the time crypto wasn't even born yet. If we are currently holding bitcoins then suddenly being no value, no choice but to accept that it's a financial loss and try our best to move on with that situation.

But don't worry, if bitcoin will really crashes, don't expect that it will happen overnight. You can still prepare for that possible scenario. Although for me, I don't see Bitcoin being crashed at this point even we count for several decades.

actually in bitcoin investment there will definitely be times when you experience losses. in investing you must be prepared to lose, and get ready to profit. depending on how much we invest it, but I think in investing in bitcoin we will not be very poor if the price goes down.

Just like with any asset I own, if it were in fact to “shoot” it’s way all the way down to zero, I would be fine. I would be fine because I understand the importance of diversification. Bitcoin is also far too volatile to hold too much of one’s assets in, as you need a well rounded portfolio.  Not to mention Bitcoin inherently isn’t even an investment, it’s a virtual currency/commodity.

I would feel a bit stressed for a day or two and then I would continue with my life as usual, if the price is the right one, I would even consider to buy more Satoshis to harden my position in the market, in the long term. I don't know about the BARAZAR project you are referring to, maybe it's a Ponzi project that promises high interest, so you can't compare it to bitcoin. Bitcoin has been around for 14 years and will continue to exist as long as we have demand for it, it is not a shitcoin project just to pump and dump. Bitcoin is the revolution of decentralized currency, of new technology, don't compare it to any junk project.
As an investment, there will always be risks, so invest only the money you can lose. For me, it would not be wise to invest all my assets in bitcoin or any other investment.

If you are a clever investor, you will never go all-in on a high risk investment like Bitcoin. You will have a balanced portfolio with a good mix between low/medium/high investment options. So, when Crypto crash, you will still be able to rely on your low and medium risk investments.

I have some coins that I trade with, but I use stop losses to prevent disastrous losses, when there might be a crash scenario. I always try to sell, before it reach those levels. (so you manage your risk)  ;)

If like you said about a man in your area, you have invested all you have on Bitcoin and for some unknown reason Bitcoin crashes as you insinuated  ;D then you are probably going to be poor for that period butas you must have known if you have followed the rules in Bitcoin, Do not invest what you cannot afford to lose which means, not investing everything you have which I believe most OGs understand so I don't think most people here have invested their life savings.

Of course, like any investment that have invest that fail, then you might feel bad about it. That's human nature reaction to anything in life. As for the description of being rich or poor, it's up to you, whether you are willing to take that risk and invest most of your money in bitcoin so be it. I have a lot of bitcoin (double digits), most of it from 2014-2016 so I still hold coins that I bought for $500. I also took some profit over the years, can't say how much because I had coins bought at different price levels.

If we crashed another 50% from here I'd still have over 20x of what I've invested, so I'm not afraid of 12k Bitcoin at all. If by crash you mean 0, I'm not afraid of it too because it's not going to happen. I'm betting a lot of money on it and I'm 100% confident that I will never see $1k bitcoin again in my life.

That said, I don't feel rich. This is my retirement and something to leave to my children. I'm not saving up for a Lambo, but it doesn't mean I won't buy one if we ever go above $100k. A used one though, I don't like to overpay.

Surely it would suck, But I know better than to invest my life savings on something as volatile as crypto. Bitcoin has been a great part of my life and if not for it I wouldn't be where I am at today, but if it does crash tomorrow? I think I'd be good. I'm skillful, I don't invest anything that I couldn't afford losing, and I have enough savings to boot that will help me get by for the next couple years. That said I surely hope it doesn't crash to the ground. Just that being ready for it is something that cryptocurrency investors should be practicing because bitcoin won't be here forever, well technically it could but something in the future that is so much better and more powerful will succeed it. If this one talks about getting almost to zero then it would be an another story on which there's really something wrong with it.We dont know on how other people been thinking or having that kind of approach.

If there's a crash then we would be normally seeing this as an opportunity to buy but if this do really happens then are you really that too confident or really could still trust to buy btc if ever that time comes?

Before I answer your question or before we talk further, it's better if BARAZAR is not equated with Bitcoin. OK, if there was a crash in Bitcoin like last year, what would be more visible would be people not making any profits in the past year because most Bitcoin holders are selling half of their assets to not suffer a bigger loss.

And on the other hand there are also many people who take advantage of low prices by buying as much as possible for better profits in the near future, because Bitcoin always has more potential to increase after a price decline. So if Bitcoin falls like I saw it last year and in 2018, I only see the less fortunate, not the rich getting poor.

if there will be crash, then just wait for the btc market to recover before you sell anything. but just to answer OP's question, won't affect me much. as i have my other assets other than btc. this is the reason why you always need to diversify your portfolio. you can never be sure of your investments. so if something goes awry with one, you still have another back up. don't put all your savings in one asset.

Though i am hoping that there will never be a reason as to why bitcoin should crash and never rise again, because i know that I have almost all my investments on bitcoin and some other altcoins, infact, 95 percent of my live investments is in crypto currencies, so in as much as it is hard to say or believe, I would agree that, if bitcoin crashes today, which also will affect the entire cryptocurrency market, then I consider myself poor , this is all that there is to it, there is no need beating about the bush, Bitcoin, as well as cryptocurrencies in general controls my business, if it crashes, it simply means my business has crashes, but yeah, i believe it never will, this is an imaginative question with imaginative answer.

Yes that's right, Crypto didn't crash like a business, it just lost X% of its value. i stick around for the long haul when Bitcoin and crypto markets are down, i panic buy not sell.

Btw, we only incur losses if we sell our Bitcoin but holding it and waiting for the next ATH, so better not too impatience and wait for the Bitcoin market to recover and surge before cashing out.

The right thing to do is to sell and jinvest again at the bottom. It is just a matter of taking advantage of what is happening in relation to its nature of market price volatility. The crash won't be from $24k to $10k in a snap so I guess there would be a safe exit. Than to just hold because of pride, and wait for another bullish trend. In such way, profit qould be bigger but I won't judge those who are into long term investment. They are the ones who would hold no matter what happen 'coz it is still profitable given that based on charts the market price of Bitcoin is consistently increasing over years. But as I've said, if you are into bigger profit then move as in line with price volatility.

I do not keep all my assets in bitcoin, and I do not make a religion out of it, so if something can happen, it will not be a global catastrophe. It is due to the lack of education and experience also greed to become rich overnight. It's very essential to manage a portfolio for your wealth. Ratio of investment in digital assets should always be no more than the bearable loss.

If you still can be able to buy more Bitcoins when the price dips then that only shows that you are not poor yet. In investing we are being told that we should only invest what we can afford to lose. I think majority of the people follow this, and then when Bitcoin crash one can still be able to hold and wait for a recovery so we are not technically a loser. In the case of the OP's friend, it looks like he invest on a shitty or scammy project.

It's unlikely that he can recover even if he choose to hold and not sell. That is not the fault of Bitcoin's crash anymore, and even if let say Bitcoin pumps, the same faith are still going to experience with those types of projects.

If by crash you mean that the price goes to 0 and disappears, you are talking about an extremely unlikely scenario. But for the sake of argument I will say that in my case I am quite diversified and it would not affect anywhere near as much as the people on the forum who have all or almost all of their net worth in Bitcoin.

So in this case it is important for us to manage finances and risks when investing in any field. I mean it is not good if you use all your savings or sell your house certificate to buy something that you think will generate more returns, I think it's the same for you risk your own self.

I've been through period of high bitcoin prices where in 2021, and I'm actually seeing the highest ATH there.
Because of this, I would never run from bitcoin even if it crashes at 80% of its ATH, and am sure to accumulation as much of it as I can.
I'm not afraid of price volatility because as long as bitcoin has real interest and use cases, then as long as it too has the possibility to get more expensive and more expensive. If bitcoin crashes, I'm still a person like when it is still okay. I don't know why I can't answer this but I always believe in bitcoin no matter how many times people doubted it and it is also drop a lot but still I'm holing my bitcoin. If the moment that bitcoin crashes so herd and goes back to a single digit then I think my career and journey in crypto might end as well.

You are right, the potential is always there regardless of what the naysayers say. There is always someone shooting down bitcoin but it have stayed strong through these years. It crashes from time to time due to negative news, but it always recovers.

Well, I started from nothing and until today I just invest with money that I can afford to lose and I have nothing to regret if had ever crashed. I can't say I'm rich but at least it's maintainable. If you invest your life savings just for Bitcoin, then I hope they need to think again before proceed to do that because it's really dangerous if they lose some or all of their earnings in matter of seconds.

If that happens, I wouldn't be rich or poor but I can sustain our needs and still live a normal life through my stable job and enough savings from crypto opportunities. I am one of those who don't have so much investment in bitcoin and on the other hand bases on my status quo I won't say am rich right now, so should bitcoin crash down today or anytime from now my status quo won't be affected as it would should it have a crazy bull run any moment from now. Don't forget, countries like El Salvador would experience a great financial reck on its economy should there be a crash based on how massive the country has invested into bitcoin.

As investors we must always be prepared for any conditions, I have been scammed several times in business or when investing in altcoins, and I think opportunities for crashes from bitcoin or cryptocurrencies can also happen at any time, there are many things that can cause it and if that happens then we shouldn't ever cry, before that happens then do a rethink whether you dare to take risks or not, if you don't dare to take risks then it's better to leave from now on.

Indeed, if you can't take the risk and can't lose that money, it's best not to invest. Not only with bitcoin but all other investments are risky, and the higher the risk, the higher the return. No one knows what bitcoin will look like tomorrow, but since it can be highly profitable, people are willing to take the risk. I will keep buying Bitcoin, I might spend more money to buy during crash because it's the best time to accumulate more Bitcoin. The thing that's on their mind is the fact that they can earn profits in a shorter amount of time compare to some traditional assets out there like the stock market that's why they went all in into Bitcoin not knowing the possible risks that they may face. Yes, I will be rich if such happen because right from my day one in Bitcoin investment,I don't invest all my money in decentralized currency based on what people have experienced in the market that made the  price of Bitcoin in the market to remain low through  the year and some months. Those that invested all their money in Bitcoin at the moment find it difficult to feed  that caused their family to loss so many things at that period, because they didn't believe that Bitcoin price can crash in that way. If the crash happen in this season, I will remain rich, because I still have other business that is bringing me money in the environment.

People invest in Bitcoin with greater risk based on the fact that people have a little more trust in Bitcoin than other coins. But one should not take so much risk that it takes away the ability to turn around later. I don't see any reason to invest by selling the house. I know the Bitcoin price could go down further but i am not worried because i know its value will gradually increase. An investor should know this currency well before investing. Bitcoin gives you good return but there are some risks also associated with Bitcoin investment. As an investor I must be ready for both gain and loss. We cant predict about future but the point where bitcoin is standing at the moment tells the story that its very much mature now. Crash is actually not just a natural part of it, but also a benefit to you if you know what you are doing. If you invest accordingly, any crash could be the main reason why you got rich. You have some money right now? Invest and wait for the bull run and when that happens you are going to turn a few thousand dollars into millions of dollars.

First bitcoin will make you a lot of money, then other coins will, and then from your profits you could invest into many tiny small things and could turn that money into a huge wealth. If that happens, I will still stand firm and try my luck with other investments but knowing Bitcoin, I know for sure that it will not crash as others think. It has been through different market cycles and has been through lots of challenges so it will not fall that easy. For now, my focus is to buy and invest more Bitcoin while I'm still capable because I still want to grab the profitable chance of earning when the bull market happens.

If bitcoin is crashing in terms of value just like bear or something then I would go and buy more at discounted prices. Move most of the bitcoin in a cold storage and forget about them until next bull run comes by. If bitcoin crash continues further the bought range then I will buy more so that can I start doing dollar cost averaging and shifting my BEP to far lower rates to keep my portfolio in the positive side.

However, if you are saying bitcoin crash in a sense where its gonna go off, then definitely I will sell my bitcoins until time persist. It is not today Bitcoin had been crashing so I am already used to Bitcoin crash and it will not affect me if it happens again. The market is full of surprises so if I see thiw kind of thing happening I know we are already used to it. It will be the newbies that are not that used to the system that would be disappointed with fears to sell there holdings. Cryptocurrency is very volatile and we need to be prepared for the worse and if the worse does not happen then the other way will be the case. Let's keep doing what works for us so that we can get what we want.

The same as me, I'll just continue working in the corporate world but this time it's no longer the same as before that I've got no investments. Comparing bitcoin with investment scam is very imprecise, I didn't know BARAZAR before and maybe it's a ponzi scheme investment because he wanted instant profit that's why he sold the house to invest in BARAZAR, last year many people lost because of investment for trading robots and they suffered big losses . Bitcoin has existed for more than 14 years without any fraud accusations so don't attribute external factors to the scam project, because bitcoin investment is much better than other investments.

The question is, why do you have to move on to the next thing too quickly because in general you yourself also don't know whether there will be an advantage in the next thing or you will also experience the same thing as now. I think it is never right to invest out of fear. If you invest in Bitcoin and wait, then you can make a lot of money. I don't think it's a good idea to always value bitcoins based on the current market price. At least for me bitcoin is a longterm investment and I don't feel like my personal net worth is changing daily with the bitcoin price. For some investors it might be different, they are looking for the short term profit and would sell their coins during a crash. In my understanding, we only invest the amount of money that we can afford to lose. I have given a thought to this even before encountering this post. I have strong believe that Bitcoin is also among the top leading coins in the crypto currency space. FTX essentially has nothing to do with Bitcoin. Being a huge exchange and making some bad headlines still doesn't have to do anything with Bitcoin. It is what it is, but this was rather a centralized banking problem than a decentralized currency problem.

Firstly I wanna say that don't put your all money or savings in trading whether it Bitcoin or any other top alt coin. Always know and follow the first rule of trading while trading, "Trade or invest as much as you can afford to loose."
And whenever you break this rule of trading, there is a risk automatically creates  on your fund no matter how good and safe the coin is and No need to crash Bitcoin or the investment source to lose funds and face losses through trading. It is impossible for it to crash. If we are talking about "technically it can crash" then technically it can be one billion dollars each too, but we all know that it won't be a billion dollars per bitcoin right? So, we also know that it won't be zero dollars per bitcoin neither, or 10 dollars, or even 100 dollars.

It means that we have a realistic bottom, could be as low as 5k who knows, and a realistic top, which could be 100k to 200k these days. Those are what we consider realistic, anything above or below would be "technically" possible but it would be impossible in reality. We shouldn't focus on things that are this much dangerous, it just doesn't make sense.

What you say is indeed quite logical to think about, because in living that life money must always be placed in different places and in different income cycles. So it would be very wrong if someone just put all their money in one place and they have to endure hunger when they need money in their life. But if someone has put some of his money in the bank, in his house and also in the wallet that he manages every day.

I simply did not store funds in such assets. Or exchanged them, before the fall, into more stable assets. There is such a thing as asset diversification. A very helpful approach! Helps to minimize the risks of major losses. But even this will not save you from a sharply "falling" value of some asset - you are simply not able to follow everything that happens. At least if you are not a professional stock player, and your whole life and work is a game on the stock exchange.

Many people have used Bitcoin ti become something for life, and many people is not depending on the existence of Bitcoin, so what I'm emphasizing on, is that if bitcoin happened to crashed today it will not really affect everybody but the people that be affected mostly is the investors who place their investment into long run, while people who have no investment in Bitcoin will not be affected. Yep. We must be wise to spend money, they are not for investment only, there are many other things that need money as well. We ideally divide the money for several purposes (daily needs, savings, investment, urgent needs, etc). Because there are many things that require money, I personally never use more than 25% of the entire money for investment/trading. We must limit the amount of money for Bitcoin investment, it is very necessary. Bitcoin price is unpredictable, it can rise up significantly and can drop severely. If we only use 25% of our money, BTC crashing (BTC price drop) won't impact much on our daily life at least.

How can a person be rich if Bitcoin crash? Unless they already have a big short position and exchanges pay that money honestly. Not only for Bitcoin but for all investment tools, you shouldn't put all your money. If Bitcoin crash today that would definitely hurt my finance but I won't be poor. I still don't know why some persons would be thinking about Bitcoin crashing. Why on earth would I pray for Bitcoin to crash when I know that the fall of Bitcoin will affects the entire crypto market and that can make things goes upside down. The market is volatile and move very fast so trading in the market would need us to have experience about the market and what possible direction the market would likely move to. Bitcoin controls the market and if it crash make traders that had been in the market for long would make severe loses if they don't have a stop lose.

If anything happens to Bitcoin, it means one source of my income has closed, so I have to focus on another, but offcus I will feel bad. Who loses their investment and feels happy? What is Barazar? If it's some kind of altcoins, then comparing to Bitcoin is just really misleading because it's completely different.

As long as there are people who believe on the existence of bitcoin, it wont crash that badly, not unless there is something big that will happen that heavily involves bitcoin on a negative scale, that's the time we will some big crash.
