Title: On-chain sports betting on polygon and gnois chain Post by: libert19 on February 17, 2023, 03:12:35 AM I just came across it from airdrop platform as they are having 5 usdc free bet for active polygon users.
As title says, It's on-chain — live on polygon and gnois chain. These are the sports available to bet atm: https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/14/blob151fa1bf9fdf678b.png Dota 2 , LoL and cs:go available for esports. I've never heard of on-chain betting for esports before. The main challenge was the oracle, i.e., no oracle providing sports matches data on-chain. Bookmaker is apparently leveraging Azuro protocol to solve this. Need to read more about these two projects to get a better understanding
Many exciting gambling projects popped up in the L2 layers recently and this is definitely one of them. Thanks for posting this. Remember Axie infinity or cryptokitties all happen onchain and make network congestion and made a high gas at the end they made L2 with lower gas fee.

It's on polygon so it's much cheaper than ethereum but still congestion can happen and it did happen (https://mobile.twitter.com/bookmakerxyz/status/1626245343066071040). Title: Re: On-chain sports betting on polygon and gnois chain Post by: crwth on February 20, 2023, 05:45:54 AM I like the idea of the on-chain because of the possibility of not leaving more of your coins in the centralized site, which is interesting to dwell on and verifiable. Having the non-custodial aspect makes me comfortable with having to bet on it: Trustless and no declined payouts.
Thanks for sharing this, OP. This is interesting. |
