I have been a crypto enthusiast for some time now,thou I have lacked consistentency,but over the years I have seen people who have carved out good lives for themselves with crypto,either by direct or indirect investment.,as a result I wish to invest in crypto with cash,but with minimal knowledge,so I seek the help of this house in advise on which crypto to invest in currently as someone who is just getting to learn about crypto currency.

I will advice you to invest in bitcoin. Do not be disappointed if you invest and you see any decrement, you should not sell but continue to invest. We all still know that it is definitely coming that bitcoin will reach a very high price again.

If you want to invest on altcoins, you need to be careful because many of them have increased this time, any little fall on bitcoin will be a great fall on altcoins. Do more reach if you want to invest on altcoins, but I will advice you to invest in bitcoin.

If you really don't want to do the research yourself, then just still with good 'ol bitcoin.

But seriously — 95% of people are just better off sticking to bitcoin. Yes, you could potentially be earning more if you pick the right altcoins, but you're better off just getting a job or starting a business in my opinion.

They were lucky, there is  no assurance of having a good life because you invested in cryptocurrency, as a matter of fact your life can get worse with a wrong choice of investment in cryptocurrency. For that purpose, to reduce the chances that your investment is lost and give you a level of assurance when investing in cryptocurrency, invest in bitcoins.

Do not have the idea that it is just because you are on a forum about bitcoin is why it is being endorsed, that is not the complete reason, it is also very much because it has been researched and tested and it still remains trusted.

As for which crypto currency to invest in bitcoin is best but altcoins too are OK, is just that the moves of bitcoin directly or indirectly influence the price movement charts of altcoins but if you have a enough money you can split your investment but learn the secret first to avoid losses.

Bitcoin is preferable for now until whenever. I don't even think there's gonna be a time that forked coin would get a better scalability than BTC, I doubt. Secondly, hope you've known the basics of investing in Bitcoin already? Cus that's actually very imperative. Now if you've had more that 20 Ops suggesting the same BTC, I think you should atleast be partly convinced?

Without any doubt, I will suggest you invest in bitcoin. If you have a budget for investing in crypto, plan it for a long time. The longer you hold the bitcoin, the more benefits you will get from your investment.

You may have to avoid investing in altcoins if you are new to crypto and don't have prior knowledge about altcoins. Also, you don't know much about the altcoin market. Though some coins give huge returns to their investors, there is no guarantee that they will do the same. Because these coins are controlled by their respective authority, they will do whatever pleases them. So it is best to avoid altcoins and focus on bitcoin with your money.

if you hear of someone who has succeeded in crypto, you should also know how hard that person struggled to remain consistent in his belief in crypto, so that the tree (trust) he planted bears the fruit of success now.


I'm not saying that most altcoins are bad but bitcoin is the safest investment for beginners, especially for those who have a habit of going in-out of the crypto world. you can try to buy bitcoin in installments every month because believe me, bitcoin will create new ATh in the next few years and the bitcoin investment you make will definitely give you big profits.

If you mean in house and those fund manager who offers a monthly fixed income on crypto then leave it. They are trying to scam money from you. Why not learn on crypto on your own. I think there are many coins with good potential, but I'll never think their is any coin can be compare to Bitcoin, so if I had to give you advice based on my own research, I'd say go with Bitcoin. It’s subjective, it all depends what you’re looking for & what your risk level is. Personally I prefer bitcoin only, I mean I have other coins but negligible amounts.

If you are a newbie, then your first objective has to be “learning “. If you chase for profits in such early stage, then definitely you gonna make miserable losses. At first try to understand the market first. See when the market moves up and goes down. What is marketcap and why it’s important factor, when we are thinking to buy a coin. Cryptocurrency is a good investment for us and if we know the value of what we are in now we will not want to play with the opportunity because it is very good for us to make better profits from the market. The market can be dull now but there will be a time that we will all wished we had bought a large holdings before now. I am a lover of cryptocurrency and the market had really blessed me a lot and now I am very Happy to have come in contact with cryptocurrency since day one . I am seeing good reasons to buy now that price is low compared to the price 2 years ago.

Bitcoin is indeed the best alternative for newbies and for experts. Bitcoin is for everyone and OP will be doing the right decision if he goes through this way on his investment. However, I just fear his minimal knowledge may prevent him from storing his coins safely in a decent wallet, like a hardware Ledger or Trezor one. More or proportionally dangerous to investing in the wrong cryptocurrency, is to not know how to hold it with security.

Several responds recommended with Bitcoin as the best cryptocurrency for investing, but I have different viewed why not trying in Ethereum as potential altcoin for investing? I checked with Ethereum price in last several moths and ever drop under $1,000 before last days success break out above $1,700. Seems have been 100% break out from Ethereum and I don't think Bitcoin can't break out to higher price more than Ethereum.

Whatever cryptocurrency kinds for investing, better not be hurry up because right now seems have been in higher price and good ideas waiting until next time bullish.

Just focus on Bitcoin and ETH, which is the safest crypto to invest with. Don't get tempted by those high rewards projects because this will be the reason for your failure and losses. And most of all, you have to change your mindset and give yourself more time to study the market performance. If you do plan on getting x100-1000x or more then low cap is the key but its never been that recommended due to lots of scams in the market.You cant really
assure it out and it does really need up some extreme luck because shitcoins could possibly be pumped up by some whale.If you could gamble

Bitcoin is the primary coin while ETH is next to it so if you invest in these coins then you made a right choice. But as others have pointed out already, don't just blindly invest or rely in our suggestions because it's not wise to enter in any investment opportunity without knowledge about it. So always do your diligent research to avoid committing mistakes.

Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Yes there are many altcoins out there that you can invest your money with, but Bitcoin and Ethereum are the 2 top coins in terms of market cap, the 2 most trusted coins. I don't know if this is applicable for both of them, but they're like the blue chips in the crypto market since they are at the top for a long time.

Overall, sometimes it depends on the investors themselves. Are they ready to take the risk? Will they not panic if the worst thing happens with the coins they bought? Are you not affected if your coin goes down massively? How much are risk are you willing to take? Are you a conservative or an aggressive investor? Some of the question that an investor must answer first. If you're an aggressive one then maybe try those coins below top 50 or even those new projects out there. Now if you're a semi-conservative then just go with the coins that are at the top 10 in terms of market cap. If you're conservative then go Bitcoin only.

Just take note that the higher the risk, the higher the reward and vice-versa.

Bitcoin, Bitcoin and stay with Bitcoin, because it's the safest for you as a beginner. If you can't do the research yourself, holding bitcoins is best. But if you've watched someone over the years make a good living with crypto, why don't you follow him and wake up now. You may be too afraid of risk to have more desire to get into crypto. Don't use minimal knowledge, you have to learn the basics of crypto and it needs to be done. Don't ask which crypto is good for investment, but ask yourself if you are ready with crypto and all the risks.

I agree that if you can't make a guess or prediction by yourself and you have to rely on others to make it for you then it is not really a healthy investment to begin with. It would be much better if people could research all the coins they want, and make their own decisions if it will go up or not.

I personally just buy more and more bitcoin these days, and there is really not a lot of research required for it neither, it is mostly done by itself and you are not required to do a lot of research. It is going to go up, maybe not today, maybe not in another year too much, but it will go up, that is my own decision and my own prediction and I invest accordingly.

To answer your question OP, there's no doubt that surely bitcoin is the best crypto to invest in as no matter if your a late holder, you can always have a good profit in the future especially if you're looking for acquiring it for a long term holding. And this year is frankly the best for you to hold because next year, there will be a halving (which is a natural phenomenon for bitcoin in every 4 years) and we know what comes next.
But I still recommend you to learn about crypto and have your own study so that you won't be surprised about what might happen in the future, be it positive or negative.

However, if we are in altcoin section and I am forced to pick an altcoin to pick, I would have to pick ethereum because then we are talking about altcoin in that case, even though it is second ranked and bigger than most coins combined, it's still an altcoin, and I believe that it will definitely be staying at a high level and not going anywhere anytime soon.

Since you have minimal knowledge as you said, I don't really recommend putting your money in altcoin, though there were exceptions where you could also put your money in to those top 20 alts, but I would recommend to just put your money to Bitcoin. It's gonna be a good timing today to buy Bitcoin while the price are still low. In the next couple of years you'll have your money doubled or tripled for sure. So, accumulating at this early will give you more time to add fractions to your wallet.

Most likely the top 10 altcoins, I wouldn't extend the list to top 20 as there could be some chances, top 10 for me might fit the best description to the OP. Bitcoin is in my mind always the best choice for those that enter this market for the first time, now we know that it cannot offer the same profits that some altcoins can but it is also many times safer, so this can give newbie investors time to improve their knowledge and skills regarding this market and then they can finally begin to invest in altcoins once they are ready, however something funny that happens is that the more you know about the markets and how altcoins can turn into scam really quickly the more attractive bitcoin becomes as an investment ans as such you do not want to stop investing and holding your bitcoin.

I think it is a bit better if you could remove some from top 10, and include some from top 20 instead. Like remove stablecoins easily, and then remove doge and shiba and xrp as well, those are all too risky to invest right now, and then add in stuff like sol or ltc and so forth. That is what I suggest people all the time, there is a reason why some coins are top ranked and that reason is still valid today and would go on for a long time.

CYMI is one whose app offers Web3 payment services. This can be used all over world with millions of companies. It has on chain rewards programs and they are working with visa. I really think this will be the next big thing for spending your crypto.  

Can be used and will be used are different things. Millions of companies all around the world could also use bitcoin as a payment method as well, there is no law stopping them from accepting bitcoin in over a dozen big nations, and yet most companies do not do that.

This is a proof enough that if CYMI is good, that doesn't mean that it will be used, it can provide any extra features or anything, rewards, partnerships, even bonuses for using it a lot, none of that will matter. Simply because one thing being good doesn't mean that it will be used, this is why I think it will not grow as much as people think, doesn't mean it's bad and sucks, just do not get too much hyped about it.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there that you can invest with and also you have the right one to decide all we need to do is to advise  you what is the best for our perspectives. And for me Bnb, Ethereum and Bitcoin is the best cause we all know that these three coins is not high in risk of we are going to invest with them while in altcoin or new projects the risk are too high and also there are many scammers nowadays .

I would stick to Bitcoin all the way it has the highest chance of earning a profit and is not as risky compared to other cryptocurrencies out there. Other cryptocurrencies do give a higher profit but have higher risk as well, you could easily just invest a big percentage of your portfolio into bitcoin and then put around 10-20 percent of your portfolio into other altcoins that have a high return. You seems doesn't know about Bitcoin too, what is immediate settlement? greater liquidity doesn't make sense, top 100 coins are have high liquidity and you can easily sell it. Any altcoins can perform international transactions and direct transfer too, only security you're correct.

For me, the best crypto to invest in at this time, number one is still Bitcoin. Bitcoin is surely the most profitable and valuable crypto investment both for the short term or even the long term. Additionally you can also choose some altcoins if you are high-risk takers, but if you ar not, better to stay in Bitcoin. the thing with increasing dominance for btc and eth is that they usually get those additional market capitalization from these altcoins but right now you see the market altcoins are having good rally right now and I think ETF and halving will only make the market getting better and better attracting flow of investments that increase in dominance doesn't necessarily need to make altcoins dominance decrease.

You are right, mate. Like I always say, investing in altcoins is like staking on different games, and you don't know which one will actually earn you a win or which will give you a loss. You can stake on a game in a very reputable casino, but that doesn't mean that you are going to win the bet because it's a reputable casino; your winnings will depend on the final result of the game you have staked on. So, what I mean in essence is that a project can look very good and promising, and the native token of that project may actually be doing well in the market, but the truth is that those characteristics alone cannot determine the final success of the project. It could be that despite the good start of the project, they might still fail along the line due to some responsibility they might be faced with and cannot meet up to it.

Are you telling me that if there was no Altcoin, I mean, no single Altcoin, that people would not invest anything they have in Bitcoin instead? Even if Bitcoin has already skyrocketed and there isn’t much gain for people who invest little, we will still see investments. So, I think that people just hope on Altcoins to make money quicker, after all, Bitcoin’s lowest fraction right now is worth nothing but majority still prefer Altcoin. :)
