Any Suggestions to gain more merit?
Answers from ChatGPT bot are enough

I asked ChatGPT on how to earn merit on Bitcointalk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5432402.0)
If you use Google Search, you can find many topics about it.

Two topics you must read before asking more about how to earn merit
Merit & new rank requirements (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0)
Welcome message (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5036308.0)

If you can not do simple exercises like Searching, and always ask questions like this, you will not be able to gain merit.

Well, for now it's not too difficult to get merit but it's also not too easy, what you need to do is not only be active, but also have quality posts that are relevant to the topic being discussed. Wish you luck.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum. You must first post as per the form rules. Do not copy and post other people's posts. Merit is not earned by chasing merit. Always try to post quality. And always try to stay online..

To begin with, participate in the forum. You registered on the forum on 9 December, wrote one post on that day, and you haven't written any more until today. I don't know if you expect merits to fall from the sky when it rains or something. Participate every day by writing constructively and little by little you will earn merits.

Rule no one of earning merit: never mention merit.  8)
There isn't much to do just try to participate in discussions, share your ideas with others and if there are interested in what you shared your post might get merited, and another tip don't make post just because you want to earn merits because you'll get disappointed. Most times the post you think won't give you any merit end up with the  most merits, you know the forum is not a school that has a certain marking schemes that are used to access merit worthy post, it al depends on who is reading your post and how significant they find your post to be.

All you need are:

- Become useful
- Only post when you have something interesting to say
- Learn any bitcoin related areas that interest you.

After that, merit will follow.

It’s all about the knowledge. Try to think about merits as a knowledge exchange: you give merit when you learn something new, you get merit when you teach something new, or you make other people think about something old in a new way. Once you progress in the knowledge you can start answering other users' question and solving their problems, or start contributing to  the forum providing new resources or tools, if you have the skills. Just try to figure out the best way to do so that suits your capabilities and resources.
This is the best explanation of merit

You will earn merit by starting or participating in forum discussions. But before you start any discussion you should ensure that it will be beneficial to the forum community. Before responding to a post make sure you read the topic and other people's responses, if you have something different and helpful you can post it. You can also get information from other sources but ensure you reference them when you post them in the forum. Merits can be rewards for answering someone's question or adding to the person's knowledge. You can also get merits by joining competitions and doing a good job. Don't be desperate for merit, just be yourself, keep learning and enjoy the forum.

Any Suggestions to gain more merit?
Yes, here they are:
- Do not think about merits. You will set yourself up for great disappoint, depression and even ban.
- Think quality posts and top reply always. Make great posts or answer the queries of other users that show that you are willing to contribute positively to the growth of the forum.
- Read forum rules: They are a lot of them but it wouldn't hurt going over them in your spare time. You may ask questions where you are confused.
- Participate in the forum fully. There was just the pie contest that ended a couple of weeks ago.
- Lastly, develop a thick skin for the harsh comments you may receive.

Second post of yours and you asked about merit earning. I think the best way to earn it is be honest on your contribution and intention here. Also being a newbie means you need to study first everything you need to know here so that when you are engaging on some discussion you can ride with such technical discussion or response with confidence. Some merits could be gain and liked by others to those newbies who are showing persistence to learn.

Any Suggestions to gain more merit?
Are you here to gain merits or to learn about bitcoins? You should be asking if there are any suggestions to help you a newbie gain more knowledge about bitcoins which is majorly what this forum is about, and not about just  asking about merits.

Knowledge is more important than merits. Knowledge will follow you long after even if you decide to quit participating in this forum.

If your interest here is just gaining merits, you already have the wrong priorities.

Hello, Newbie. I mean, you already know enough about how the forum is organized, since your first message is a question about merit. In addition to the merit section, you still need to take time to study the rules of the forum, otherwise you will be blocked before you receive your first merit.

At first you r a new member and If I am not wrong you have a little idea about cryptocurrency and about this forum. If I am right you should not post for merit that is not a good work if you want to hunt merit when you don't contribute in this forum. First try to learn and contribute through the forum and help members as much as you can. Then you may earn a lot of merits. So first learn by yourself about crypto, Bitcoin, this forum and help others. Also you can post about scams in crypto then you may earn merits. Best of luck for you.

Yes, there's alot expected of you to offer on the forum and before you could achieve doing this, there are some requirements needed of you to have fulfilled which are:

1. Being active on the forum
2. Undergo a learning ground
3. Develop yourself about bitcoin and the forum
4. Make quality posts with interesting contents
5. Be consistent in doing all the above items.

Being a newbie, you're not expected to have chase after merits first but to develop yourself and get used to the forum by creating values, merits will later set in without you demanding for it base on what you're contributing with time.

How do you want to get merit when you only have a few posts and then ask about getting merit? It's a little weird.
All you have to do is make interesting and unique posts and this can provide knowledge here or develop yourself what is a skill in bitcoin at least you understand it then you can ask about getting merit.

Merit does not come alone, this is because of our skills in creating content if it is interesting people will be interested in you and give you the number of merits they want.

Many suggestions have been given by several members here, all you have to do is study it.

You need to earn your first merit at this point and you are asking about how to gain more?

The best and simple advice is to completely ignore on how you will get merits and Focus on gaining knowledge through different resources, asking your doubts and participating in healthy discussion on forum.Slowly you will gain knowledge which will be reflected in your post history and you will gain merits but why in such a hurry to have merits? Give it time and learning is the key to growth.

What is it's use on and outside the forum? Can some newbie enlighten me because, am confused!

Meanwhile, I can tell you right now at OP that, the forum is a discussion platform, an arena where you can learn and teach/inform as well as getting to practice certain skills in the field and digital space.

I'll advise you follow up on what would improve you far above the forum, even though the forum is bigger than most of us and we all hope to archive something head on from here. The cryptospace remains bigger than forum but, you can get most of the knowledge you need from here.

OP, you asked a question that has already been answered a hundred or more times on this forum.
By simply using the search function, you could find the answer in a few minutes.
Also, at the top of this section you already have all the answers.
So, until now, you have not even bothered to do the most basic thing, read all the instructions for new members and inform yourself about the work and functioning of this forum.
If you want to become a respected member of this forum, you should try harder and find a way to contribute to this forum and help others instead of thinking how others can help you.

You are right that mate here in our community it' not good if we take and take but not give back all I said is that give and take is the best way to leave this community and if we are newbies we need to know our rules which is we don't need to ask something already been answered not once, not twice but hundreds time. And the best thing to do is we will use the search button first before creating a topic or asking anything. Because here in forum almost possible question about the forum and Bitcoin see already tackled all we need to so is to find that by searching.

Merit is hard to get for people who don't understand how to get it, but it will be easy for people who already understand how the merit system works. Many Threads discuss how to get Merit, try to spend a little time to read some of the recommended threads.
This is your second post since joining the forum. To get merit takes effort, start reading more so you can make constructive posts.

Never expect someone to give merit to your post because it will make you disappointed when no one appreciates your post. People's ratings on quality posts are very subjective, answering other users' questions can be considered quality and will be rewarded with merit.
I hope you are lucky.

If you fully comprehend the English definition of merit, you will not seek advice on how to make merits. When you make meaningful contributions to the forum, the users who thought your contribution was worthy of merit will give you to show their appreciation for the contribution you just made in the forum. And don't be disappointed if you don't get any, even if you believe you should; different people perceive things differently.

And don't just put your mind to earning merit in these forums because that may discourage you because you may believe that all of your posts deserve to be merited, which is not the case.

Getting a merit as a newbie isn't a big deal, but the most important point is that you no longer need to discuss how to obtain merit rapidly. Instead, concentrate on studying more about the issue you've come here to discuss since I don't believe you'll be able to write a quality piece unless you understand bitcoin. As a result, you will be able to create high-quality postings that will get you merit.

Newbies who have concentrated more on how the forum works, and have learnt more things on the forum have done well than people who came and start seeking for merit because, people who came here to learn and know more about Bitcoin get themselves involved in the trading and investing system, they learn the different strategies in trading and investing, they don't just trade, they make sure they make regular research about what type of project they would like to invest in.While people seeking for merits are the ones after campaign.
It would be good to focus more on learning how to trade, how to invest, knowing the different strategise on having a good trade because that will help than seeking for merit, which will not be easy to get.

Try your possible best to be more active in the forum and to improve in quality Post, which are part of some of the things that will help you to get merits easily in the forum. Also learn how to create a good topic that will add value to other users in the forum because, many are waiting to learn from other senior members comments so that they will be perfect in all areas in the bitcointalk.org platform. Being active here is one of the means of earning merits here. If you are not active your account would not be visible to the forum users and the possibilities of being meritted by others would be very slim.
People that earn a higher amount of merits are people who are always active on a daily bases. In order words, one must find what give them joy in the forum or let's say what they are passionate about in order to have the urge to visit here on a daily bases.
Be it as it may, I understand that being on the forum is not a job it is what one should do at leisure, but to some of us, we are kind of being addicted to visiting here.

Actually, it's not completely accurate. To become a Jr. Member, you gotta get 30 activity points AND at least one Merit point. You can read more about it here: FAQ: Everything you need to know about forum 'activity, account ranks and merit (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0)

Your posts aren't doing much for the forum yet, as they all seem to be related to bounty campaigns. If you want to level up here, get more involved and share something that adds value. That's how you'll earn some merits!

Sir I respect your thoughts and would like to post crypto-related content, but I am unable to upload images. I understand from your previous response that becoming a Jr member is necessary for image uploads. Can you guide me on how to become a Jr member and where to find the required merit? Thank you for your assistance.

As a new member, you won't be able to post pictures on the forum yet, regardless of your activity level. It's just one of the rules here. In the meantime, you can try hosting your image on an external site and linking to it in your post. This can be a good workaround if you need to include an image in your post.

If I want to post a picture on another forum, the amount of time it takes to upload will depend on the policies of that forum and the speed of its servers
Now you have become a Jr Member after the first merit you get. congrats on your first merit.
It needs to be underlined, there is no specific place to look for merit. Merit does not need to be searched for, start improving the quality of posts even better than before, when people think your posts are of high quality, merit will easily come to your account.
Try to get rid of old habits like making useless posts and reduce the number of posts containing reports from Bounty Campaigns. You will not develop if you only focus on the Bounty Campaign, suggestions from @FatFork are very helpful for your development, especially in increasing your rank.
