Here in my country, the time is 9:35 pm so I greet the community members, good evening everyone, I Rachael9385 am here to announce to the forum that I have ultimately invested in Bitcoin and I can happily say I am now an investor.
I have tried my best to be part of the Bitcoin investors because I have read a lot of news and heard some little stories where Bitcoin blesses a lot of people, so I decided to be one of them and now my parents also gave me money to invest in it because I told them from now till December I will have more than what I invested so they agreed and gave me some money to invest also.

Welcome to the board! Most of us here are Bitcoin investors. It's great to see that you were able to convince your parents to invest some cash in Bitcoin. I know it wasn't easy to convince them. However, just make sure that your holdings are secure with a non-custodial wallet. Do not store your funds in any exchange or centralized wallet. It would be better if you could afford to get a hardware wallet. I am not sure if you can make money until the end of December since Bitcoin is a highly volatile cryptocurrency. But, if you intend to hold for a longer time, you will definitely be a gainer. We will wait to hear from you during the next bull run

Welcome to the forum and also congratulations with your initiative for investing in bitcoin. While I give you applause for doing that, but it made me sort of worried about what you've said guaranteeing your parents telling them by December you'll have more, and they gave you additional money to invest again.

I think this is a wrong approach to say that you're guaranteeing and giving timeframes on when you shall profit because nobody knows how and when the bull run will start. The market is volatile and no one can predict accurately if by that time it's going to be a better month for bitcoin. Although in the past, we've seen runs that have been so good at the end of the year.

But as said, we don't know if by that time it what will be as you've expected. Explain to your parents also the risk of investing in bitcoin and what it is with volatility and you should be patient while waiting for that time to come.

Nevertheless, if you're short term and you're foreseeing out of the market by December I think that will change.  :D

Welcome to the family mate, you did very well in terms of investment and also convincing your parents, you must have been telling your parents about the Bitcoin investment for a long time now, more over now that you are fully a Bitcoin investor I want you to be patient and also don't be in a rush to sell your coin if the price increases hold your coin until when you think the time is right for you to sell.

First, I had to say congratulations for successfully investing in Bitcoin; you are now a true member of the Bitcoin community. You may have been aware that Bitcoin is a volatile asset, and perhaps it is good to be hopeful for price appreciation, but price movement is not regulated by anyone, so telling your parents that you will make a big profit before or on December is not really guaranteed. Bitcoin investment is really a good investment because if you hold until the market is bullish again, you will make a profit, and perhaps you should plan to hold till next year should the price you expect to sell at by December not be what you see. Good luck! Also, endeavor to make your security a priority and beware of scammers.

Congratulations and welcome onboard. It is nice you took that bod step in investing in bitcoin. I suppose you are holding for a long term so that you could make big and good profit from your holdings but I must tell you this, you should not keep you coin in third party exchange so as not to loose your assets if there be any occurrences.

Store your bitcoin in a safe hard ware wallet so that no one can access it and also do well to write down the private keys to your wallet so as to get it back if your device get lost,stolen or crash. This would help you more. Remember " not your keys, not your coin"

You said you heard stories of how people make money from Bitcoin and you decided to invest. I hope you know that most of these stories are incomplete. Some of them bought Bitcoin when it was very cheap and they made some profit after selling them. Some of them also lost when they sold below their buying price. You should understand rhat It is not a get-rich-quick scheme because it requires patience and risk-taking. You can't predict the price of Bitcoin in December because it is volatile and unpredictable. You need to go and explain to your family members that you might make a profit, or loss or remain neutral by December. You have no guarantee that you will make a profit. Your investment plan is short, some bitcoiners have up to above five years plans.

Good one OP,you did the right thing at the right time to invest in bitcoin now that the price is still low. I hope you intend to hold for long and not selling of so soon,because if you hold for long,you will make a better profit in the bull run than if you are investing on short term since you said December.

Welcome to the cryptospace and you should be careful to keep your coin under your control and not in an exchange. Your parents are open to adopt new ideas for them to give you some money to invest. A noncustodial wallet is the best to keep your coin safe. Also remember that not your keys,not your coins.

Congratulations by the way, this is just plain statement without any evidence to back it up but however we are not here to drag the genuinely of your investment. I would still inform you that you made a wrong decision by telling your parents that by December you would make more than what you invested. They might change their views on Bitcoin if it fail to increase by that December.

Good for you, I think your timing is right to invest right now, I know that the price might be too expensive for the majority of us including me. But you can start small, or at least what you can afford to lose.


I will advise you though to become a long term holder, and not just in December. We are waiting for the most important activity in Bitcoin which is the halving. I urge you to research about it as well. And based on history, halving is the catalyst for a bull run, so the growth is expected to happen between 2024-2025. So might be better to just HODL.

I agree, it is better to wait for the result before telling someone that you got profit from your investment.  Although Bitcoin price might be higher on December, possibly because of the hype of the incoming halving, it is still unknown area whether the price will go up or down by that time since we all know, Bitcoin price and market movement is unpredictable.  So you could have keep quiet until your investment shows profit.

Congratulations to you my friend as you have taken your first step into a wonderful journey you want to embark on with crypto, as advice by other members it's not advisable you leave your coins in any exchange platform as you are not the only one with the keys to the funds because exchange platform are somewhat control by a central body and once they experience any breakdown your coins will be affected too so it's better you save it in a platform where you have total control over it e.g a non custodial wallet like electrum which most forum users here use including myself.

We do really need up that recognition and adoption in speaking about Bitcoin or entire crypto space because we know that if there would really be more demand then it would really meaning about having high value or prices of Bitcoin itself.One thing that you shouldnt really do is to give out guarantees specially into someone when it comes to value or earnings because we dont know on December
whether the value of BItcoin is low compared on what we do have now on which you would be having problems on what you would explain into your parents.

Next, upgrade your mindset to realize you aren't a bitcoin 'investor', you're a Bitcoin 'owner'! Bitcoin isn't an investment, it's a currency. Just keep getting more of it and keep holding it until you are ready and able to spend it, likely when it is worth many times its current value.

But an advice I believe you might find out it's important is that, don't expect much from your bitcoin investment, you did not state the amount of bitcoin you now own, but still, don't expect much if your target is from now till December this year, as you said in the op, bitcoin investment always has a higher chance of paying off if you make a long term investment, but for an investment that is targeted to be withdrawn by december this year, don't expect much from it for it can only pay off if there is major bull season before that time.

First welcome to the forum. But I would probably disagree with your way of investing in bitcoin. You convinced your parents to give you money to invest, and you are just lying to them that bitcoin will be profitable in the coming months. There is no certainty about that, and you also did not mention the risks of investing in bitcoin. I don't know how old you are, but investing from your parents' money is not advisable, because it is money that cannot be lost.

Nice to see you happy just own Bitcoin, but think as an investor it must be logical, so If the price didn't come as your expected you have to accept it, because as far as I know many newbies come in the Bitcoin world just follow his idol or friend, so that if bitcoin price dump, that newbie got scared and sold all asset unthinkingly. This is I see happen many times because they aren't real investor even they said with sure and confidently like you.

Brace yourself because this journey is mixed with smiles and tears, I hope you do not have your bitcoins in an exchange, a better alternative to that is to store your bitcoins in Electrum wallet. Others have also suggested you buy a hardware wallet which is a really good idea but I don’t think you should do that yet, you’re new to this space and may make mistakes while trying to purchase a hardware wallet and end up buying one that’s been tampered with.

I support you when deciding to trust and invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin is indeed the most promising investment today. But I have advice for you, bitcoin is unpredictable, it is very volatile, and it can only be profitable if you have the ability to hold it for long. I mean, it's risky to expect a profit in December, because there's no guarantee bitcoin will rise by then.

This is a wrong approach to convince your parents to make them want to give money to you because there's no guarantee the Bitcoin price will be higher in the next month(s) until the end of this year. You need to prepare what if Bitcoin price will not be higher than the price during you bought the Bitcoin, at least you already have the answer before your parents ask to repay back their money.

If you want to make profit in Bitcoin investment, you're need to wait at least 4 years.

You made the first right decision.

Next best decision is to hold the bitcoin for as long as possible. See it as retirement funds and keep adding more as per your capacity. The problem with most investors is that they get scared when the market starts going in red and they sell in losses. If everyone had strong hands, we would also be seeing much more stability in crypto price movements.

One more thin, now do not keep this benefit to yourself. You should also share the benefits with friends by informing them the importance of crypto.

You have made right choice by investing in Bitcoin and if you plan to hold it long term you will definitely gain good returns over it but also be prepared for negative scenarios where it could go down like we hit ATH of $68k around but now we are at low levels after so much time also but be patient as it will grow with time.Also don't keep them on any of exchange but with you on hardware wallets or Electrum with you seed phrases safe as hackers always find way to scam you so be aware about it.Rest you made good decision which will be worth it in future.

I have been investing for quite some time now, apart from studying finance in general and personal finance in particular. A wise investor, before investing in something, first informs himself and makes a reasoned decision as to why he is going to invest in it. I hope it's not just because you think it "blesses" people, as you say.

And the story of your parents giving you money to invest in Bitcoin to someone might be heartwarming but that's not usually what happens. Someone skeptical might consider what you tell to be BS.

any proof of your investments? because you seems to be just making post for announcement but no supporting documents and this may  sounds like Merit fishing to many.
and you did not even mentioned about how much you invested and also asking parents to give you money to invest?
sounds not so good for me because it is not your money actually but your parents.

That is nice but you need to be careful, on my limited experience as a trader, an investor which made use of the money of someone else to get their coins will not be as careful as they should be if they were using their own money.

And this is because when you are investing your own money you know how hard you needed to work for it, and as such you will be slightly more cautious in how you use it,  compared to those which received their money from an external source and did not had to work hard for it.

I think we should all just accept what Op said to be true and move on, because if I should create a thread like this I'm not too sure if I'm going to put any proof whatever just so others can believe that I truly bought Bitcoin. If it was something like "how I used bitcoin directly to purchase something, etc" then I might be compelled to put some proofs.


From the way, Op made the post you should have been able to decipher that he/she is still very young and as such can't work to earn enough money for investment purpose.
And it shouldn't sound too good to be true to you because nowadays we have so many parents who knows the worth of bitcoin and will be willing to give them money to invest in it whenever that request for it.
We shouldn't let doubt blind our eyes from possibilities, I used to tag thread like this as a merit fishing thread but had to change because the fact that something hasn't happened to me does not mean it can't or won't happen to others.

Yes Bitcoin is a very good investment that only if you are really prepared to invest by having the patience to hodl Bitcoin to get more value.
Do not have in your mind that Bitcoin can make you rich as you want by depending on you investment. You need a source of income to depend on, Bitcoin is volatile and unpredicted which you don't need to make your daily source of income.
Your decision is nor a bad one because Bitcoin is the most reliable investment you need, you have to let your parents how Bitcoin works, that it is volatile and you can't really predict the market but when you patiently hodl Bitcoin you will definitely get the profits from your investment. So do not panic to get profits in your own predicted time, just keep hodling.

In fact, the OP is behaving very consistently. I followed his story. Of course, we can be skeptics all the time. But sometimes you want to believe in human interest and sincerity.

First of all, I would like to welcome you to this forum and surely your choice to invest in bitcoin is very right. Deciding to invest in bitcoin with your family is a well-considered decision. Before you and your family start investing, you must have thought about creating bitcoin assets for the future.

However, it is also important to remember to set limits on the investments that you and your family can afford. Do not invest money that will affect your day-to-day finances. Bitcoin and the crypto market in general can be very volatile. Make sure you and your family are closely monitoring the market and ready to take action if the price drops sharply.

You are not talking like someone who has done their research, and what you have told your parents is incorrect, you can't be sure of what your investment will yield before December. If your parents have given you some part of their money they cannot afford to lose and would need it by December because you told them you will accumulate returns by then, you better go back and explain things better to them, BTC investment is not a get rich quick process, and i think you should spend more time researching and reading in this forum to understand the correct things to do.

You have convinced your parents to give you money and you will use the money to buy bitcoin, I think if your parents know the risks of investing in bitcoin there is actually no problem, because if your parents know the risks of investing in bitcoin, of course your parents won't blame you if one day the bitcoin price drops.

it is very nice if what we do get support from parents, because if allowed it is a prayer from parents. Moreover, your parents are not only supportive, but also provide additional funds for investment. therefore, use the moment as well as possible, especially since December until now, it means that there is already a floating plus, and this will increase enthusiasm for investing again for old age

Congratulations for investing first time in BTC. your message shows that your age is not above 25 and your parents are sponsoring you. Its was a great joy for me when i first invested in BTC. It was i think 2016 or 2017 when i searched in youtube for online earning and God bless a Youtubers who made very explain video on way to earn BTC. From this day i started accumulating BTC and now i am happy to say that i am early investor of BTC.
