It's a great offer for me. I find out here a mistake that shows on the subject line of 1st one "Whirlwind.money | Avatar Contest | Create avatars and win BTC | Ends May 7th!" and the 2nd one you wrote, "Whirlwind.money | Avatar Contest | Create avatars and win BTC | Ends March 7th!"

Here the 2nd one shows "Ends March 7th!". It's a mistake. I hope you will check it, and edited.

I think there's should be mentioned if multiple accounts aren't allowed. Someone might think if they have 3 alts, they can submit 9 avatars.

What about a rule of an account registered after this thread was created can't join this contest? this could prevent abusers.

What do you think?

I liked the Whirlwind logo from the beginning, and I wanted to see if it could be reimagined while still keeping the original feel and style. Branding is so important, and a lot of mixers have pretty basic logos. A logo that looks futuristic and truly professional is a great way to inspire trust. It also says "we're not run by amateur hobbyists with access to photoshop. Whirlwind is backed by serious resources and technological skill."

It would be neat to see if anyone can make a good design and fit the full "Whirlwind Mixer" phrase in the avatar. Since Whirlwind is so new, people don't yet know exactly what it is. An avatar that just promotes "Whirlwind," well, when someone sees that, they think "Is this an exchange? An NFT? An investment service?" In later days, Whirlwind will be known and recognized by name alone, but the reality of today is just that we're not quite there yet.

Even in my submission, I only wrote "Whirlwind" rather than "Whirlwind Mixer." When you're working with only 80 pixels of height, it's hard to fit in two lines of text and a good logo design. If anyone here can do it however, they've got a few merit points from me (although I'm just a random guy) and hopefully the appreciation of those behind the contest as well (who have the actual cash).

Well you have a valid point if Whirlwind only has an Avatar campaign but since the current campaign is Signature and Avatar campaign. The whole info about the mixer will be shown on the signature space which the details is clearly visible.

It is indeed pretty difficult to fit both "Whirlwind" and "Mixer" into such a tight space. I was not able to fit it in my avatar.
In my opinion the Signature display enough information itself though and the avatar should be recocnisable and an eye-catcher.

The point of seeing the signature and avatar over and over again is to build recognition, right?

The avatar must be 120x80 in size. It's okay that you have shown some demos with large files. But you should also try to make the actual avatar size and present it here so that they can see how it looks in the actual avatar size. otherwise, the manager/team has to ask you for that version. Lol thank you Little Mouse and SamReomo, I'm pretty confident to create signature design, but avatar is on another level, which it's so challenging to implement your idea on small canvas. Interested, but I don't have a good level of avatar creation skills. If for participation it would be enough to provide a drawing, a sketch or something like that. That is, the initial idea, which the artists of the whirlwind could already draw in a high-quality way so that the participants in the campaign could immediately add to their signature, I would have joined long ago. And so, there is a certain entry threshold for participation: you must be able to create avatars of at least a good level. If I start trying to do it, it will take forever to create. :)

This is not a drawing competition, of course, but if the conditions were a little softer, it would attract more people to participate.

You are most welcome buddy! I have submitted my design in the contest. I will be among the lucky ones if my version of avatar succeeds as part of this amazing campaign. I find such activities challenging and it makes me happy to try my best to participate in such challenging tasks. I believe we learn from our mistakes and over time we get better and better. Very good work! I'd love to see more ideas on what a new logo could look like.
