Title: Which one is important? Knowledge or Experience? Or both in Bitcoin Learning!
Post by: tjtonmoy on April 22, 2023, 03:55:09 PM
In order to learn anything, we need the proper knowledge. In any situation, it is so important. And applying that knowledge in different situation and making wins and losses we gain experience.
So in that process, can you only depend on one thing? It is important to gain knowledge to be able to get the best results in any situation. But can you be successful with only knowledge and not without having enough experience?

Let me give you an example. So someone has browsed through the internet. He has gained a lot of knowledge on bitcoin.
And there's this other person who have been on the platform for a long time. He has gained experience based on his own work.

Now you want to learn the best. To whom do you go first? One with knowledge or one with experience?
Me personally, I will choose the one with experience. Because knowledge can be gathered from many sources. But the true meaning of best learning method is found in the one with experience. Because he may know something that the internet won't know. It is the same as reading a book and memorizing it. But you can't be an expert unless you have tried in yourself.

One more example that I want to say, which has happened to myself. I work the same thing others do. But when to teach that to a new guy, if they follow the basic learning knowledge. But when I teach them how to work, I showed them some shortcuts and way of doing things in a much faster and easier way.

So in conclusion, if you are new and want to learn something about Bitcoin, ask the guy who has a lot of experience. Then it becomes knowledge to yourself. Then applying that knowledge and going through some trials and errors, you can gain the same experience. It is important to learn them both in my opinion. But you need to follow the path of what to do when. That way, I am sure success is guaranteed.

Let me know your thoughts. Or share some of your own experience.

An experienced user is one who has acquired knowledge and put that to practice, that's a safer bet than someone who has only read through without putting any of it to practice yet.

Learning about sending multiple Bitcoin transactions together, generating a private key, etc is good, but actually putting it to practice without any errors or correcting your errors along the way shows that you've truly applied the knowledge.
Applied knowledge over passive knowledge.

You spoken well mate so in addendum I will also like to say, whenever you are employing person or they are seeking employment in an office they usually asked for a working experience, meaning both are essential you can't do without any of this. That why when you go to any higher institution graduated with a good grade during seeking for employment you would be asked to show your work experience or if that company is that considerate they will train you to their satisfactions before finally allows you to work with them at point you are gaining experience.
So, finally you can not work without experience and Knowledge despite any place you plan to source it from, the two must come together.

Both knowledge and experience are very important for human life but in practical terms experience is more important than knowledge.
Suppose you and I have equal knowledge and degree from the same institution in the job field but if you have more experience than me in the job field then you will be given more priority in the promotion.
But one thing is very important that you cannot be experienced until you acquire some knowledge on that subject. Moreover, knowledge in the field of Bitcoin must be acquired, but in addition to acquiring knowledge in the field of Bitcoin trading, one must have a lot of experience in Bitcoin trading.

Just like what Upgrade00 said experience is lack the practical whereas knowledge is more or less theoretical. But both actually do work in line that it is quite hard to differentiate both. With experience one has almost entirely all the information regarding the particular thing but knowledge is limited to just what is stated in a book being read.

If we look at the talk around how bitcoin increasing after every halving we could see that it is from past experience. Even books read are from experienced authors of that. Both goes in addy because the one who has experienced and seeks more knowledge about a thing gets to a higher level than one who sticks to just one of the two

No. Someone will not achieve success if these two things are not owned.
Knowledge and experience are two important things in all aspects.

So the conclusion in my opinion is that it will not be enough if you only have knowledge because actually knowledge and experience are interrelated.
Knowledge is the first and experience is the second.
From knowledge will give birth to experience that will make a job of perfect value.

It's kinda confusing because somehow it's just the same for me.

The guy with a lot of experience started as a person who only has knowledge, and the experience comes after. So I don't know what's the debate here, doesn't make any sense at least for me because the one that only has knowledge will also have experience right after and they are just both the same to me. We started as a newbie and will end up a pro in the end if we are going to make something as a career.

If you're trying to learn about something, I don't think you can have experience at all at that specific thing. Experience comes after the learning process. When you started learning about Bitcoin (not cryptocurrencies in general) you didn't have any experience with Bitcoin. So, first you read, you talk about, you see news, etc. When you feel comfortable you start nessing with things like installing a wallet, learning about it's options etc. Then you install some other app and you learn a bit more, etc, etc. When you start messing with things is when you start getting the experience!

The few post here already summarized everything op said.
In bitcoin investments people needs to have experience(which comprises of knowledge because through knowledge you gain experience), then it will lead you to all your investment journey probably with knowledge is what gives birth to experience. Although is vise versa, sometimes you need experience to have the knowledge while sometimes you need knowledge to be able to handle things and after you might finished handling it then you derived experiences from your post work or investment, that is why i said is vise versa.

Knowledge can be of several types such as knowledge from books, knowledge from various online sources, knowledge from friends etc. Knowledge gives a person courage to succeed in that thing. but experience builds a person's confidence in that thing. when someone wants to learn about Bitcoin and he takes the help of someone who has knowledge about Bitcoin then he can learn as much as he can.  If he takes help from an experienced person he can learn more than that.  So I personally think experience is more important than knowledge in trading

Knowledge and experience. Knowledge won't mean nothing if it won't be in line with experience. Some people learn more through experience but most of the time, textbook knowledge is less effective than with actual knowledge wherein an individual would be able to apply the things he learned; quite of a trial and error. Given that Bitcoin promotes no certainty and consistency, an investor should have both experience and knowledge. Would be more of a practical vs technical point of view. One good example I guess is with business in general; sure thing an  individual could read a lot of books but things work differently on the actual simply because there are many underlying factors affecting the outcome.

But can you be successful with only knowledge and not without having enough experience?
I can assume that you know that theory and practice are often never the same. So even if in theory you are right, in practice you will be demanded by a situation that allows you to find shortcuts even if the goal is the same.

So in conclusion, if you are new and want to learn something about Bitcoin, ask the guy who has a lot of experience. Then it becomes knowledge to yourself. I disagree with this one, the fact is that someone with experience doesn't necessarily have a good idea to tell you the right knowledge. If you want to learn, then learn from those who are knowledgeable, but when you are in practice then you can get guidance from those who are experienced. Both are important, of course true but the position of the two must be adjusted to what you want.

Everyone must at least have some substantial experience before they can consider themselves a "Learned" individual in the industry of crypto as a whole. You can hoard all the knowledge that you want and you can and you'd only be half as good as everyone else who really dipped their toes in the water.

I hold experience at a higher regard than textbook knowledge because, well as a matter of fact, most textbook knowledge in bitcoin is pretty much gathered from experienced, so cut the middleman and actually take a bite out of the proverbial pie I say, and learn bitcoin the hard way.

Knowledge and experience may seem a similar concept to many, but if you look deep into it, they have 2 different definitions. One can be gained through collecting data from many sources, which is knowledge. But if not applied in anything, it has no meaning. You can learn many things, but how much have you tried out yourself in order to gain experience?
When the knowledge is put into use, and you get something, that's called results. And many results combined where wins and failures are included makes experience.
Having a lot of knowledge and only applying a few does not make you an expert. So for me, they both are required and could be categorized the same, but the concept is different.

Both are needed for you to progress in any market. They are like your weapons as you battle in any market situation.
So for me, both are important. No one is above one another. Your knowledge will help you understand what you are experiencing in the market.
But the experience will give you insights that are not found in the books. Just take for example, how do you spot a project that is pump and dump?
As you traverse the trading journey, you will gain tips and tricks that are not written on books. But the basic knowledge will give you foundation in understanding what's going on.

Both are inseparable. If you aim to learn bitcoin successfully, you should gain knowledge at first and put them into practice later on. You should have your practical training on the knowledge that you have obtained so that it will make more sense. Otherwise, knowledge alone would be useless if you are not applying it. That’s the reason why people tend to earn knowledge first and develop their skills through various experiences so that the chance to succeed in bitcoin, be it in trading or investing would be high.

Most of those who answered would say both are equally important.
But knowledge is the first thing to do, if you don't have knowledge there will be no guidelines for exploring crypto.
Because with knowledge people will gain experience even though only a little knowledge is gained.

I myself initially studied crypto first before doing some practices such as trading, investing, and doing various things in crypto which provided a lot of experience. From the experience I got, I also ended up having a lot of knowledge that would open my mind that both are indeed very important.

For those who have studied crypto in more detail and deeper, they will have a faster way to do some things that may be quite difficult, just like you do.
Have a faster and easier way.

Agree with these as it is important for us to really have a deep understanding with the things that we get into so it is better to know every aspects of cryptocurrencies so that you can be able to use those in what you will do. Experience, on the other hand, is equally important for me in learning bitcoin since those experiences teaches you various lessons that is useful too. Regardless if these experiences is positive or negative, we can have a good lesson with it that we can use the next time we deal with it. So, it is both important to have these both as I too agree that it is inseparable when you really want to learn objectively and learn through your experience which is a great combo to learn something.

In my opinion, knowledge and experience are closely linked and complement each other. I believe that without knowledge you can't gain experience and without experience your knowledge can't be applied effectively.

First, you should acquire sufficient knowledge and try to apply it to gain experience over time. I think without experience, achieving your goals may be really difficult and it would take a lot of times, since you need to back every time to the basis and try to learn from it. Obviously you need a strong foundation, which takes time to build, and then with experience, you'll learn a lot from both your mistakes and your successes.

Now you want to learn the best. To whom do you go first? One with knowledge or one with experience?

If you want to learn something, then it's best to go to someone with knowledge. However, if you want to apply and see things physically, then experience is the next step.

For example, if you want to learn how to do crypto trading, you should first start by learning the basics of trading (there are many sources of information on the internet for this) so it's up to you how fast you would learn, after that you need to apply what you've learned to gain experience, especially learning from your mistakes and mastering the art of crypto trading.

For me knowledge and experience are both important. They should work together as a team, without knowledge it will be a lot harder to try any investment. I am pretty sure none of you would take a risk in investing if you did not even research on the road map of a particular coin on how will your investment grow to be able to take a profit later on. We should know the factors of the coin we are trying to invest cause without knowledge we might loose our investments. With experience it can teach us how to face risk and how to overcome losses.

I believe knowledge and experience go hand in hand, if you have experience you also have knowledge. and like when you study to be a doctor! You can't become a doctor just by experience but first you have to learn and know the job! having said that when I started with bitcoin I started from reading news on the internet, then went on to study the protocol and finally asked for advice from an expert in the sector! so for me too the choice fell on a person with experience. so I was able to sharpen my knowledge and put it into practice, but I don't consider myself an expert yet

Both are equally important. Moreover we can’t compare both with each other, as in order to gain experience one must need to have sufficient knowledge. So both is important, first you need to gather immense knowledge, then using this knowledge, gain experiences. Now when you have both, use both to calculate the risks involved while investing in Bitcoin and try to make maximum profit from it. Op has mentioned all the points that are essential, so yes both are important when dealing with Bitcoins or cryptocurrencies.

If you only have the knowledge and theory without real combat experience, you are still considered a newbie, and a newbie will never be able to make good profits in the market. Therefore, knowledge and experience are equally important and need to be well combined to help us survive and make a profit in this market.
The knowledge you can learn from the internet and others, but with experience, you need to experience it yourself to build your own experience and skills, you can't buy or learn from anyone else.

My thoughts are aligned with yours, prioritizing experience over knowledge as the primary factor. Knowledge, in this case, serves merely as a support system. Both are valuable assets for an individual to possess.

An experienced person is typically more agile, quick-witted, and less flustered when aiming to achieve a goal. To broaden one's experience, the only way is to try and practice directly. Even without any knowledge at all, you can still gain valuable experience from what you have practiced.

Meanwhile, knowledge serves as a supporting aspect that can boost the final outcome. Imagine having sufficient experience and being aware of the step-by-step process to reach the ultimate goal. This significantly increases the probability of success.

If we apply this concept to learning about Bitcoin, you can gain experience in trading and investing in Bitcoin, while knowledge of timing and money management serves as a supporting factor that can make you more successful in Bitcoin.

Knowledge would give you experience  then experience would give you more knowledge. It's like a two-way flow. You learn Bitcoin then you apply that knowledge depending on what you pursued. Learned trading? Go and trade in whatever exchange you prefer. Learned technical stuffs? Go build a crypto related web app or build your own crypto coin.

Just imagine being a carpenter. You know how each tools work, but how would you build a house if you only knew what each tools are used for.

I think knowledge will have to come first, experience is something that you get along the way.  Here's an analogy, knowledge is a map and experience is journey, the map has all the information you need but you need to trek the terrain personally or you will never grasp the full scope of the information. Knowledge and experience go hand in hand.

A helpful distinction for the op's line of thought would IMO be to speak of 'know what' and 'know how'. You can gain the 'know what' type of knowledge from reading about something, attending lectures, watching videos etc. In the op's example, it's browsing the Internet to learn (know what) about Bitcoin. But there's also 'know how' kind, which requires practical engagement (and is obtained through experience. You can know what a violin is, but it won't help you know how to play (be able to play). With Bitcoin, it's knowing what a crypto wallet is without having the experience (obtaining know how) of using it, or learning about trading but not practising it. So to me, what we choose depends on the purpose, and experience is also a way of obtaining knowledge, just a different kind of knowledge. Combining the two is usually the right way.

Title: Re: Which one is important? Knowledge or Experience? Or both in Bitcoin Learning!
Post by: Oceat on April 23, 2023, 04:32:08 PM
The replies above are right, if we put things in simple terms it's like you acquire that knowledge through watching and reading while you only experience it when you try to apply your knowledge or what you learned from watching and reading. So basically you need both knowledge and experience in order to be effectively useful when doing trades and investment.

One thing I could say is if you already experience this and that, then it's useless and pointless to you because you don't have the required knowledge to understand what you have had experience. You still get back to the first page and that is gaining knowledge first so that you can understand what you have had experience. If you blindly follow someone without a certain knowledge you'll get lost in the process and that's a total waste of time when you could just do some research with that time instead of trying to copy someone. Basic is very important in all aspects of life.

Experience is the best teacher,I can read all the books of knowledge and someone who didn't read any book but he is always present during  practicals will perform better than the one who read the book. Take someone with knowledge to the field,he will find it difficult to do things right at first, until someone puts him through.

Practical brings out the best on whatever that you are doing than someone with bags of knowledge without practicals. Let's take an example of using a cold wallet for bitcoin storage, where you need to generate your seed phrase in an airgap system. This is very technical and if you make any mistake, everything will be messed up. So many people in the forum are finding it difficult to put this into practice, even though they have the knowledge because they haven't put it into practice but if they see someone to teach them one-on-one,it will be very easy for them. I am an example, from my own perspective someone who is experience will do better than someone who doesn't practice but have the knowledge. Let's take example of a medical field, someone  without experience but with all your knowledge is useless because you might end up taking a life.

Both knowledge and experience are important in learning Bitcoin. Knowledge about Bitcoin's technology, history, and market trends can help you understand the underlying principles of this cryptocurrency and make informed decisions about buying, selling, or investing in it. However, experience is also essential to learning about Bitcoin, as it allows you to put your knowledge into practice, learn from mistakes, and gain a deeper understanding of how the market works.

In short, while knowledge provides a solid foundation for understanding Bitcoin, experience allows you to apply that knowledge in real-world scenarios, which can help you develop a more nuanced understanding of this complex and rapidly evolving cryptocurrency.

Only those who got shot once in their life knows how bullets in the body hurts, it's a very bad experience, a near death experience, but those who haven't gotten shot before won't dare come out in the open and ask someone to shoot them.

They don't want to experience it and they are ready to stay away from guns forever, in cryptic space we don't want to get scammed, but those who have lost funds to scammers are more carefully than those who haven't experienced it yet.

Still no one wants to lose money to scammers, having knowledge and experiencing something or an even are both different things, You don't have to have an experience of something bad or evil before you have some knowledge.

There are some people in the crypto space that haven't lost funds to scammers before and that doesn't make them relent or feel like a god, they already have the knowledge to secure their funds themselves.

Internet knowledge= theories
Experience overtime= practical.
Both have difference results on the investment and the financial analysis of the ops and this can be reflected in the outcome of their financial statements and investment results.

So if you ask me I will say experience plus knowledge= of successful financial decisions born out of track records with years of experience and knowledge of different times. It requires time to build both experience and knowledge and both are what pay off in the long term.

So in that process, can you only depend on one thing? It is important to gain knowledge to be able to get the best results in any situation. But can you be successful with only knowledge and not without having enough experience?
In the first place, why should you even think about trying to limit yourself when you could possibly learn everything?
Knowledge is never complete without experience and as such if I'm to learn any skill, I will never choose any of the half-bake individual you just suggested, but will rather choose someone who has both knowledge and practical experience on any trade or skill I intend to learn, so that as theory is been taught, practical can also be initiated for full understanding, not to mention about crypto whereby if a user has no experience, he/she could end up sending a lost transfer.

For me, I won't dispute between the two because both are important. As someone with experience, you must be knowledgeable in the application of your experience because you might be experienced on this topic and still fails. With this, I will also go with the person with experience but also be knowledgeable in his or her dealings on this matter.

If we would really just be needing to choose one then i would definitely be choosing up "EXPERIENCE". Why? Once you do have some experience then you would eventually gained up knowledge which is something that inevitable or something that you would really be able to gain along the way. I agree on what most people been saying on here is that having both would be the best because once you do also have the knowledge on what you are doing then you would be able to gain more via more experience and this do simply shows up about mutual benefits or having that back and forth gains as long you are really that wary
about your actions because if you arent that making such move or really having those plans then it wouldnt really be that progressive or something that you would be able to gain up.

Both knowledge and experience has a very vital role to play in learning Bitcoin. Most people that have knowledge about blockchain technology find it very easy to learn Bitcoin and understand it better than people that don't have knowledge, while people with experience also learn very fast because of the initial experience they have.

It is a no-brainer that both knowledge and experience is essential.  Learning to mastering is a process.  First, it is obvious that we need knowledge in order to do things and we need the experience to master things.  These two concepts are inseparable if we wanted to excel in any aspect of life.

You cannot do anything without any action.  So if you applied the knowledge of what you learned you can then gain experience in how that knowledge works.  So as I stated it is inseparable.

For example, you gain knowledge on setting up a wallet.  Then you set up a wallet, and by then you gain experience in setting up a wallet.  Isn't it too obvious that both can't be ignored?

I am on the bitcointalk forum as a non knowledge and non experience user. My journey started to gain knowledge [both basic and technical knowledge], that I have to do in my much active time on forum. It took me a long time to learn something as new as bitcoin back then, but the knowledge itself has benefited me a lot. Experience on the other hand comes through practice with success and failure, but both are equal.

The end point is that knowledge and experience can be gained from forum by study and practice. It's not as easy as turning your palm of course, it takes time and consistency as well as great curiosity about something.

Bitcoin is one risky investment and for you to be profitable on it, you should have both knowledge and experience as that will definitely make you a successful and profitable bitcoin investor or trader. Knowledge alone makes no sense, but if you make it as your advantage and develop your best skills out from your gained knowledge, then you will be more valuable and successful in your chosen investment.

Everyone feedback was based on their personal experience and points of view towards this question.
At a normal circumstances we need the knowledge although most of us who are not educated may need experience to operate with while those who are educated fully needs knowledge to start with. In bitcoin investment, you need an experienced individuals or trader to guide you through the journey of your investment for you to be able to excel through that parts. As a lecturer or a grade school teacher you need knowledge to be able to stand the public to teach or speak to them why because there will be lots of questions from sides to sides and if one is not knowledgeable enough there is no way such person would be able to withstands such pressure. So knowledge is mostly needed before experience, experience comes after you might finished.

If you keep on relying on experienced bitcoiners, that will only help you temporarily but will never help you grow personally. That is why it’s important that you possessed both knowledge and experiences in life so that you can dwell on every worst situation that comes even without the help of experts. Bitcoin is not just all about knowledge, it’s more on practical application so that you can come up with good and reliable analysis to make you profitable and successful.

In general, experience and knowledge are totally related to each other and without gaining them, you won’t succeed in this field. Furthermore, it is really important to educate yourself before even starting and there is no need to be hasty even when you have a large capital, that would be definitely perilous Plus, remember that beginnings are always tough even when you’re completely educated , it means you might face some obstacles and lose a some money . However, everything will get better with practice ( experience). In addition to that, make sure you to build  strategies and plans, they may help you to improve your decision making. Every strategy must apply on each market's condition.

Both of them has to be very important and they're both needed for someone to become successful when investing in Bitcoin. Before investing, we have to make ourselves to have knowledge on what we're investing in.

Investing without a knowledge of what we're investing in is just gambling since we're only trying our luck and waiting on the outcome. We have to do our personal research before we invest in Bitcoin and when that is down we get knowledge.

The experience plays its part when we're now involved in the market, by this time we'll need to learn from others experience which prevents us from making mistakes or learn from our very own mistakes and take decision that'll make us successful.

I agree with this, I already experienced this before especially when I started to learn Bitcoin.
I tend to ask questions to people who got more experience because I believe as they stay longer in a thing, they more familiarize it and master it, so it means they are good on what they are doing as they know what they are doing.

Basically, experience allows you to gain knowledge. Of course getting into Bitcoin, you need to study something first so you'll know what you're entering. But there are knowledge that you can't learn by just simply reading and researching online. When I first explored this space, I started by searching about it online and then ask someone I know who have prior knowledge in crypto. Then after that, when I tried everything myself, that's where I learned deeper knowledge that I wouldn't understand by just reading it. For me, experience is still the best teacher.

I agree with you that both knowledge and experience are important in bitcoin education. As you rightly pointed out, knowledge gives us a basic understanding of how bitcoin works and what features it provides. However, to be successful in bitcoin investing or using bitcoin in everyday life, one must also have the experience to know how to put this knowledge into practice.
I think it's important to find a balance between knowledge and experience. Gaining knowledge from a variety of sources such as books, articles, and online courses will help you understand the basic principles behind how Bitcoin works. However, in order to gain experience, one must try to use bitcoin in practice, for example, by buying it or accepting it as payment.
I also find that talking to those who already have bitcoin experience can be very helpful. They can share their knowledge and experience to help you avoid mistakes, save time and money, and improve your chances of success.

Talking about experience, not all things that already have that experience can be used as a reference I think.
At the beginning I was here, I found a lot of good people from social media, forums and even in the real world today, there are many people who were in Bitcoin even before me, but that doesn't mean their experience can be a good thing because not a few people have being in a circle like this for a long time is also limited to knowing and not deepening especially with those who lack literacy so that the conditions when the discussion only goes one way for me personally considering that they only carry out discussions only from those they have ever met, even though it's good but it's a little less because of course when other people's experiences are done in ours I think it's going to overlap.

Seeking experience with previous people is very good but it also has to be a choice, on the other hand studying yourself while honing your intuition and research I don't think it's wrong because it's also necessary for ourselves.

Of course, both are important, you can't have experience without knowledge, and if you only have knowledge without experience, then you can't do anything, and you can't make a profit. Both are important, and they complement each other, I have not seen anyone lacking either of these succeed in any industry, not just crypto.

I have read almost every reply. And from what I have come to known that, some of you agree with that and some of you don't. I also have learned something from this.
The process we start from is learning. As we learn, we gather knowledge. And when the knowledge is put into practice, we gain experience. Then it all comes back to a circle. When we experience new things, we learn more, thus collecting more knowledge. Then we apply them in works and gain the experience again. It will keep happening over and over until we become a master at it.

You make your own experience by putting previous ones together, and you come up with a new one.

This has been a great learning session for me. Thanks to everyone for sharing your thoughts. Hope this will help others too.

Experience is great but have you thought of the possibilities of one having all the wrong experiences over a longer period of time without actually getting it or figuring out what is actually right ?
If you've though of that, then you'll agree that knowledge is great because having the right knowledge is paramount because with the right knowledge, one might get the right experience but with just experience, one might still be wallowing in the wrong knowledge.

Whatever the case might be, it is always best to have both knowledge and experience and while getting them both, it is better you get the knowledge before the experience  rather than trying to get experience before knowledge.

So eventually, both knowledge and experience are the keys for a successful bitcoin investing and trading.

Knowledge comes from mere reading of books while experience comes from encounters with real life issue. Knowledge is theory while experience is practical. Little wonder they say experience, not knowledge, is the best teacher. It used to annoy me during job huntings and years of experience was asked as part of the criteria for employment until I realized the place of experience in job placements. Now I know it has to be experience over knowledge. A man with experience is better on a job than the one with knowledge. I choose experience over knowledge.

in any case, I think knowledge and experience are needed, and if we talk about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, then both things are very much needed. Many people without knowledge enter the world of this investment, and suffer losses. it is because he has no knowledge and experience and only follows the trend. Very many examples of this. what needs to be realized is that the crypto world is very risky, without knowledge or experience, the risk will be greater than the potential profit you can get. moreover there are so many scammers trying to trap new investors.

Basically knowledge and experience cannot be separated from the rotation of the human learning wheel in living his life, knowledge and experience are two elements that humans will get from their daily activities, in the process humans respond to this activity as an experience that produces knowledge. be it from the experience of other people in written or unwritten, the results of research and other studies on something related to knowledge can be obtained because experience includes the context of experience of thinking or imagining.
Included in the reasoning and actions or activities related to bitcoin will be an experience and knowledge that the more you deepen it, the more conical it will be to a conclusion.

Experience is great but have you thought of the possibilities of one having all the wrong experiences over a longer period of time without actually getting it or figuring out what is actually right ?

Wrong and right are the conclusions that we get from the reasoning process that you make and depending on how your mindset concludes, because of that you will get different people's thoughts about wrong and right at the same point.
Which gist we should get first from these two contexts depends on your situation, too much learning theory without implementation is also not a good thing. In this study it is best when learning can be accompanied by implementation, so that it is faster at the mature knowledge stage of learning outcomes and application.

I get your points mate but we're not talking about the reasoning stage but rather we're now focusing on the action stage where one has to decide either to go for knowledge or try getting experience and hoping to get the knowledge along the process of trying to get experience as well.
And I agree with you that too much learning without implementation is absolutely not a good thing and most times when we get knowledge, it is better unimplemented than trying to implement them and there are cases where we just have to get theoritical knowledge of mostly the past not because we want to change the past or go back to time because we are trying to stay knowledgeable so as to learn from the mistakes of people in the past to be able to make precise Decisions if faced with similar situation in the future.
Now I  also believe that it is best to acquire the right knowledge about a thing before attempting that very thing
Hence, it is advisable to get knowledgeable but going for the experience that would leave a physical result.

Relying on knowledge, you will not really understand deeply and confuse about few things. But the good thing is you will not get bitter experience or mistake because you've learn how to choose something and carefully enough.

It's not only limited to Bitcoin learning, but anything is similar.

Knowledge and experience are both valuable in life, but if I had to pick one, I would go with knowledge. Because the majority of knowledge is based on experience. Reading books or surfing the internet will teach you a lot, and the writings are frequently based on other people's experiences. Of course, reading is not the only way to learn about life. It's always a mash-up.

Knowledge is also easily shared with others and has the potential to last for decades or centuries. In general, experience is more subjective or intersubjective. And those (inter)subjective experiences will be exchanged, resulting in knowledge. And knowledge is what is disseminated and maintained.

Then applying that knowledge and going through some trials and errors, you can gain the same experience. It is important to learn them both in my opinion.

The two both work in hand, learning process is not as easy as thought or expected but when you're now good at it, you become an experienced user that teaches others too and the best way to retain what you know is to bring others to the understanding as well that they should benefit such through you.

Same, both are needed to improve your bitcoin learning. Knowledge helps you understand the fundamental concepts and principle of bitcoin, including how it works, it's benefits and drawbacks, and various ways it can be used. Knowledge can be gained through reading articles and books and engaging in online discussion with experts in the field like this community.

Experience, on the other hand, allows you to put that knowledge into practice and gain deeper understanding of Bitcoin through first hand interactions with technology. Gaining experience can be buying, selling, and trading, setting up a Bitcoin wallet, and mining.

In bitcoin knowledge and experience is important. If all the knowledge have been acquired we still make mistakes that we need to be corrected by experience. I see Bitcoin investment or trading as a journey, in this journey I think knowledge from ready articles is not enough,  we come across personal experience that can  never be erased forever. I think the two are important,  they are both needed,  experience is best teacher. Some mistakes occur because of lack of experience but having experience it will be hard for same mistakes to reoccur.

Both knowledge and experience are important for success. Knowledge provides theoretical understanding, while experience helps in practical application. Seeking advice from experienced individuals is crucial, but continuously updating knowledge and gaining hands-on experience is also important. Experience alone based on flawed or outdated knowledge might not be enough. Learning about Bitcoin is an example where seeking advice from someone with hands-on experience is wise. Updating knowledge and skills continuously is essential.

Regarding your question above I think Knowledge and related experience are equally important in learning Bitcoin in my opinion because Knowledge provides a foundation for understanding the technology, its history and potential use as well as the technical aspects of Bitcoin, such as how it works, how transactions are confirmed, and how the blockchain functions.

Understanding the theory behind Bitcoin is one thing, but having hands-on experience using and trading it is another and I think experience can help us gain a deeper understanding of how the technology works in practice, as well as how to navigate the market and make sound investment decisions. This experience can be gained by investing in Bitcoin, trading and using it for transactions.

The way we learned about bitcoin was not through experienced, most of us started through a simple Google Search - searching for knowledge. Then we went on YouTube to watch a step-by-step tutorial on how to buy bitcoin on Binance, Luno or whatever crypto exchange app we were first exposed to. We followed the same process for other crypto related concepts. This was applying the knowledge to gain experience. We didn't first, second and third time until it became like second nature to us.
Knowledge and experience are both essential. If you don't have any knowledge or idea about a subject then how can you gain experience in that subject. Before experience we have to take concept and gain knowledge about it then we can have experience about it.

Even if you are going to interview for any job these days, they will give more preference to an experienced person. If everyone gives more priority to experience then what is the way for those who want to gain experience.

Suppose you go for a job interview in a hospital with highest degree in medical education and the interview board asks you to tell about your experience then what will you answer them because you have no experience of working before you have acquired various knowledge just to get medical education And if you have an idea about different things then you are not eligible for the job.

It is not the case that everyone should be given a chance to gain experience. Knowledge, ideas, knowing about something, and education should be valued, not just experience.

Experience is a something that can’t be taught in a classroom, that’s why in certain industries, candidates who did internships and have experience in that role are considered high value than those that have zero experience but have the certifications. IMO experience trumps certifications or knowledge every time!

To become an experienced cryptocurrency user, it is essential to have knowledge and learn about the subject. Simply having information is not enough, as practical application is also necessary to gain experience. Therefore, seeking advice from experienced users is more valuable than solely relying on knowledgeable individuals. By learning and implementing what you have learned in real-world scenarios, you can gain the experience required to succeed in the cryptocurrency market. In conclusion, experience is crucial to achieve success in the crypto industry.

Now you want to learn the best. To whom do you go first? One with knowledge or one with experience?
Knowledge comes from mere reading of books while experience comes from encounters with real life issue. Knowledge is theory while experience is practical. Little wonder they say experience, not knowledge, is the best teacher. It used to annoy me during job huntings and years of experience was asked as part of the criteria for employment until I realized the place of experience in job placements. Now I know it has to be experience over knowledge. A man with experience is better on a job than the one with knowledge. I choose experience over knowledge.
You were right there. However, if we can have both knowledge and experience, that’s a perfect package. You can never go wrong if you trust a person who has high knowledge and high experience because surely, you will learn the best from him. Knowledge alone may not work, just like experience without knowledge may not work either. That’s how important knowledge and experience are, the two should always be complementing each other.

Knowledge has just the same importance with experience, that’s why there should be both knowledge and experience if we want to learn the best with bitcoin and crypto market. Knowledge should be gained first, and when you are knowledgeable enough, everything you have in your knowledge should be put into practical application. That is where true learning takes place, one who can successfully use it in his experience.

With experience it can teach us how to face risk and how to overcome losses.
both are very important in life because if you have enough knowledge you will know the facts, information and also you can acquaired skills and experience through education while in experience is you can gain it through practical exposure. if you have this two you will know how to balance in making decisions even if it's risky but the more you fail the more knowledge and experience you will gain.

The two concepts have some similarities. At I was even confused but when I calm down and think of it, then I took the side of experience, one has to experience the thing before you can have knowledge of it. That is why they is a popular saying that experience is the best knowledge" (teacher). Many people have the experience of bitcoin but they do not have the knowledge of it and that is why people here learning more to know. But they hears at one occasion or the other.

In my opinion, both knowledge and experience are important when it comes to learning about Bitcoin.
Having knowledge about Bitcoin is important as it provides a foundational understanding of how the technology works, its benefits, and potential risks. Knowledge can be acquired through various sources such as reading books, attending courses, watching videos, and participating in online communities like this forum. However I would suggest while learning from YouTube go ahead with caution Correct me if I am wrong
However, gaining experience is equally important as it provides practical knowledge of how to apply that knowledge in real-world situations. Experience can be gained through hands-on experience, trial and error, and learning from mistakes. Experienced individuals have a deep understanding of the intricacies of Bitcoin and can provide valuable insights that cannot be found in books or online resources.
So, to answer the question of who to learn from, it really depends on the specific situation and what you want to learn. If you want to gain foundational knowledge about Bitcoin, then learning from various sources like books, courses, and online communities can be a good start. But if you want to gain practical knowledge and insights on how to apply that knowledge in real-world situations, then learning from experienced individuals can be very valuable. I think we all are here to benefit from Crypto in that case first gain knowledge then test that in real situations that is gain experience. That’s how I went forward.
So in my opinion both knowledge and experience are important when it comes to learning about Bitcoin, and it's important to have a balance of both in order to gain a deep understanding of the technology and how to use it effectively.

the bitcoin industry.

Because no matter how much knowledge a person has, if he has no experience on how to make money in the field of bitcoin businessm, someone with experience can still beat him. Because through experience it teaches knowledge about bitcoin or cryptocurrency actually.

You will gain knowledge thru experiencing. You will not learn if you didn't tried.

Look at those businessmen out there. They became successful because they learned (knowledge), and they applied it when they are starting their business (experience). Yes they've experienced failures, but they managed to come back, and look where they are now. They learned, and applied that learnings so that they will become successful.

In order for you to learn Bitcoin, you need to study, research, and learn, but at the same time, you need to apply it as well.

Now you want to learn the best. To whom do you go first? One with knowledge or one with experience?
The one with experience. That's a no brainer for me.

The one with lots of experience will be the one who will share many things as for the one who has knowledge only, but isn't using it for his/her own good. Whether it is Bitcoin, or anything, a person with experience always wins. A person with lots of experience have lots of knowledge as well that's for sure, but a person with only knowledge, but no experience at all, is just useless (for me).

I agreed with you that knowledge and experience are crucial.I think that occasionally when you learn something from a variety of sources, you can also put it into practice. In fact, many people nowadays who enter the crytpo industry do so through knowledge, and they do it better because many of the books and videos are putting together by the great experience authors, and if someone read and get the information well from the books and videos someone can also easy put it in practice too. But if I'm being completely honest with myself, experience is always preferable to knowledge you gain through reading or watching videos.

Actually both are essential in Bitcoin learning because if you have proper knowledge about crypto and have little experience you may not get good results. Again without knowledge only experience can handle many things but that will not be fulfilled. So I will also go for experience but must have a actual knowledge too. Because Knowledge is Power not Experience. This will be implemented in every sector of learning.

I did, however, believe that all the doctors worked in their different hospitals work with experience behind the work and not just knowledge. In my opinion, knowledge cannot be applied without experience if one can merely possess knowledge and lacks practical experience in the subject matter.Bitcoin knowledge must be applied when reading the instructions for how bitcoin works, following the newest bitcoin news, and participating in other activities such as the Bitcoin forum.
After acquiring all of the necessary information of bitcoin, one can get experience by applying that knowledge and benefiting from it. So both play an important role in our daily lives, not just in cryptocurrency. So, in order to be a successful bitcoin investor, it is critical for someone to get the appropriate expertise before engaging in the industry.

Knowledge is nothing if you doesn't know how to execute and apply it in the real thing. Knowledge is important but experience is a must too that's why most job hiring are looking for experienced people. Fresh graduates have their on job training before graduating for them to have experience plus knowledge package when they graduate they could apply already for a job. I think it's the same thing in Bitcoin, if you have both knowledge and experience then it would be easy for you to invest and trade in Bitcoin without hassle. If you acquire these two you will be powerful.

Experience is an example of past work that has been done by someone based on the knowledge they gained at that time so that it has become an experience for him at this time. So in general knowledge is still the main thing that must be considered important to carry out any activity even though experience can help someone more in carrying out the work he is currently doing.

The guy who has experienced was first a novice who acquired knowledge first and through several trials by errors, practice  and repeated practice. Knowledge is important first. Just like a child learns to crawl first before walking, so it is with knowledge and experience.
It’s certain that knowledge should come first because it serves as your foundation in learning, and when you think you have learned a lot but still there is lacking, that’s how experience enters your mind. Knowledge and experience should go hand in hand as they are both essentials in the learning process, otherwise if one is lacking, most likely the learning process is not complete and will never become entirely relevant to your life.

In my opinion it comes down to what you want to achieve with your bitcoins. Let's say you heard about bitcoin's a lot and only want to understand what everybody talks about then knowledge is the thing you are after. Buying a book about bitcoin's or reading several articles online will likely do the trick. The same goes for someone who is looking at bitcoins for long term investing. As a HODL investor it's more about the knowledge than experience as you are not going to sell your coins. Only if you are looking at actively trading bitcoins you really need the experience. As a short term trader it's all about the experience and not so much about knowledge anymore. Having some basic knowledge is sufficient if you already have trading experience. It's more important to handle stress well, not react to your emotions and keep making rational decisions. So any new beginner should learn towards his goal.

It is never that simple, even if you are only interested on becoming a long term holder your experience will save you from making a huge deal of mistakes that can wreck your account.

How many people were supposedly only interested in bitcoin but then they read a little bit of altcoins and decided to switch their whole holdings to altcoins? And how many of them succeed on making the money they were looking for? Almost no one I would guess, and your ability to ignore those altcoins and the promises of their developers will come from your experience, as eventually you realize the majority of those coins never achieve anything of note.

You cannot separate the two.  Knowledge comes from experience and theoretical learnings.  So knowledge is much broader scope of learning which come from both reading and experience.  And I can say bot plays crucial parts in everything so we cannot compare the two and choose one between them.  Whether you choose experience or knowledge, once you practice both, they both yeild each other.

It can be said that knowledge is an extremely important foundation for any newbie, and experienced people are very knowledgeable. To be successful in any field, we need both and we must combine them flexibly to achieve the desired results. To be honest, I have never seen a successful investor or make a lot of money saying they have no knowledge, or no experience. Both are necessary and sufficient conditions for a person to be successful.

You can't become an experienced person without first of all the practical knowledge of what you do, despite learning from others experiences like reading, researching and watching YouTube videos. So in my own opinion, Both knowledge and experience works in tandem, because from knowing something (The knowledge), one graduates into becoming an experienced person in what he or he does.

The bottom line is after you must have gotten the required knowledge about Bitcoin , you need put your knowledge into practice, like Buying and selling or any sort of Bitcoin transactions which then will graduate you into Becoming an experienced Bitcoiner.

All of this whether you think they're the same, and me or someone else trying to analyze and share things from a personal perspective see if it's really the case. Sometimes our problem is the barrier created by the language itself, Knowledge or Experience which is of a reciprocal nature and almost intertwined, and I really don't want to separate to try to understand. consider it to have the properties we are understanding. The problem is probably here about how we're looking at it, and you can give an example, but I just see it as one, and each of us is dividing ourselves. out different ingredients.

That's the absolute truth. It's called "standing on the shoulders of giants". Literary, new entrants stand on the shoulders of these giants to see well afar off. Everyone who is new to something should always seek counsel of veterans in that field they're venturing into. It saves one enough troubles and time.

Quote
Knowledge alone may not work, just like experience without knowledge may not work either. That’s how important knowledge and experience are, the two should always be complementing each other.
Experience supercedes knowledge. This is because by raw practice on the job one gets the knowledge in practical reality. Like I stated earlier, knowledge is mere theory. Theories aren't alive if they aren't make practical. Real life solutions are in practical and not theory. So, while experience can survive without knowledge, knowledge can't survive without experience.

We just need to have the knowledge first before having the experience so which ever way we want to do it it is very important for us to have sound knowledge of cryptocurrency so that we are not going to by on a single side.

Experience is what supercede knowledge since everything in this life is more of practical than just having the theory ideas or knowledge only. Just like in the circular world, we need to have experience in the kind of job we are applying for even though it is  small one to get employed because no company would want to employ someone that have not experience in the kind of job they are offering.

Naturally, both. To do things efficiently, knowledge is insufficient. Because I tried it when I was in school taking a small engine course. The lesson is not difficult to grasp, but when I apply it in practice, it is really tough. Then I observe my classmate, who already has an experienced, and he does it well. As a result, I believe that knowledge must be combined with experience in order to execute tasks in an efficient and effective manner. Even experience is insufficient because there are some things you believe are accurate but are incorrect.

Similarly, it is the case when investing in cryptocurrency, particularly in trading. You can't go all in if you only have knowledge; you need experience as well. That is why, if you are new and have no expertise, it is recommended that you utilize only a small portion of your money so that you do not deplete all of your finances if it does not work.

An investor with more practical knowledge is more reliable when compared to an investor with more theoretical knowledge for obvious reasons. This logic applies to literally everything.

Honestly, luck is way more important in crypto trading, mining etc.

As you explained both of them are indeed very much needed because besides we have high knowledge but without a little experience then everything can feel difficult if we do, and currently there are very many people who are rich in experience but the knowledge he has is very little but with a big push from experience everything is easy to do because there is already a little knowledge that ups and downs so that it can be a lesson, So from there we will get new knowledge, then both are very important.

Both are necessary and sufficient conditions for a person to be successful.
One with high experience has probably earned a lot of knowledge in the first place. So both of them, knowledge and experience are of high necessity particular if you aim for its best outcome. Though there could be highly knowledgeable individuals but with less experience, but you won’t hear highly experienced but are less knowledgeable. However, since we are talking about bitcoin learning, I would say both should be present, acquisition of knowledge first that would lead to more productive experiences.

for me both are very important for running a business or our investment for the future, because I find many people who are successful now they already have great experience in running their business so that every problem they handle can always be resolved properly, of course this have also learned a number of things that are related to their business, especially in the world of crypto we will not easily benefit from investing if we do not have knowledge and experience since getting to know crypto, everyone has ever tasted bitter and sweet even though now everyone is enjoying satisfying results.

Your title makes zero sense op. An experienced investor obviously would have gained a lot of knowledge related to crypto trading. Theoretical knowledge vs practical knowledge makes way more sense here.

An investor with more practical knowledge is more reliable when compared to an investor with more theoretical knowledge for obvious reasons. This logic applies to literally everything.

Good catch there, it should be the comparison of theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge and I agree that the person with practical knowledge is way more capable and reliable than the one who relies on theories since practical experience weighs more and make a person more efficient in doing things.

Honestly, luck is way more important in crypto trading, mining etc.

Luck is just a variable factor that can be outperformed by knowledge and planning.

Indeed, those who come into trading will already have some basic knowledge about it but it was not enough to become a good trader. But should not be a big deal because we are doing this, In actual trading we gain experience and more knowledge as well. They are both important in the sense that it is a must otherwise, we just go nowhere.

This is what it looks like;
knowledge + experience = success
So those who come in trading should not be thinking it works so easily as it takes time to develop all of these things until we gain success.

I can't tell which is more significant because, in most circumstances, both knowledge and experience are equally important. Knowledge is a theoretical or academic understanding of a subject, whereas experience is the practical application of such knowledge.
Knowledge and experience are mutually beneficial, and one can't prosper without the other.

Both are indeed correlated on which on the time that you would really be engaging into trading then you would definitely be having be able to acquire that knowledge and experience which you would be able to gain
up overtime and on the long duration or times that you've been doing on the same thing then it is really that giving you out that edge or advantage compared into those people who had just recently stepped in
into this market. Of course it wont really be just talking about on short period of time if we do speak about acquiring learning and experience.

You would really be experiencing lots of errors and mistakes along the way which i could say that this is really that a part of learning process. You cant really just that be too that confident
when it comes to certain approach because dealing up with this market isnt something simple as it sounds or looks because profiting or sustaining on this unpredictable
market does really also depend on how well you do handle up yourself on making sustainable.

Knowledge and experience are equally important. With the knowledge you'll be able to acquire experience, but to be knowledgeable through experience it takes little more time. Based on this knowledge gets little priority against the experience. This is on the common aspect and it suits everywhere.

When it comes to bitcoin learning, rather than the knowledge and the experience it is the self realisation on the need for an innovation. If your mind is ready to accept it, then only it is possible to enjoy the goodness and turn to be more knowledged one. We should experiment the knowledge we've got, only then we'll be able to understand how good is the experience.

Perhaps many people will disagree on this, but I find it absolutely true. Sometimes you have all the knowledge and experience, but you won't make any money if you are not lucky enough. But that said, we don't need knowledge or experience, because it will help us limit losses and avoid pitfalls in the market.

You will never gain experience if you don't invest right away, but investing is not recommended when you have no knowledge of it and it's best to learn how to invest first. If asked what is more important to learn first between experience and knowledge, then the answer is clearly knowledge because when you start to find out about the basic things needed in investing, then you will definitely get knowledge when conditions are bearish or bullish.

When you try to combine knowledge and experience, then try to use a small investment first because usually we need adjustments and at least avoid the risk of loss when you first start. Once experience and knowledge have been acquired, you can decide to invest whatever amount you are prepared to do.

Why do i get the feeling this question almost feels like one of those questions of which one came first the chicken or the egg  ::)

Anyway, as far as I know and believe, you need experience to acquire knowledge and not the other way round...a reason why people  at a work place doing the same job for several years will be paid more money than the newbies,  because the value  is in the experience which has broadened the knowledge base inturn. It only gets bad after all the years and expected knowledge someone shows no knowledge or expertise in the field then their is a problem and in such a scenario knowledge > experience.

It would be both since both knowledge and experience has a big role on our bitcoin learning I would say that I would probably start with a little bit of knowledge like for example i could go here in the forum to browse and learn about a lot of things on bitcoin and that's will give me enough knowledge on how can I execute things on trading and investment etc. Some of newbies would take a lot of times which is mostly the case, taking a lot of time learning and not starting on their journey, Even though you have enough knowledge the real learning will begin when you already experience it. I mean you could say that you learn how to play basketball by just watching a video, but unless you already experience to play it you cant guarantee than you will have a great performance on it. With that I think experience is more important but Both are needed on bitcoin learning to lost.

I guess that's why they say that never judge a book by its cover. I have said already in the last part that you need both. The title is just a question which has been explained in the post. Theoretical knowledge is still knowledge, but when you have practical knowledge it can not be called experience. Because you can not gain that kind of experience if you only have practically used it once or twice. So when you use your knowledge in the field, and you learn from it to become expert, that is what called experience.
So I don't know where did I do it wrong. You may wanna read the post again.

Experience is the best teacher, but it comes with a price. Learning by information, that's learning from the experiences of other may be safer but has its limitations.
When it comes to crypto, you will need to gather enough information, and then put the knowledge into practice.

that you could gained up overnight which it would really be requiring up some ample time before you could really be having a good grasps.

Dont focus on which one is important because you wont really be needing to choose one because even just engaging into a single point because dealing up with other will really be normally be gaining up the both experience and knowledge that you are really that seeking.  Bitcoin learning isnt only limited which this one could be applied in overall crypto space or no matter
or which market you would be tending to touch up.

Both are very important in life to record success. But knowledge comes first. There are those who will never experience anything related to their business before they started but they have the knowledge of the business and know how to run it. We can learn from the sad experiences of others to avoid getting hit by the same sad occurrences. We do not have to experience it by ourselves before we learn. This is why I said that knowledge is a step ahead of experience. We can also channel this to bitcoin learning.

The way that people who has a lot of experience on something is they are the best to explain that certain things , imean they have their own definition which means they understand it deep as they have years of experience unlike those who just learn it online or somewhere which they are just on tip of the ice berg and not known the true meaning, though if ever you have a chance to ask both then why not to see what is better point of view among the two

This is true, people with different experiences have their own definition on things perspective. It's like two different person looking at "6" but on the other side it looks "9" so they define it in different way. For them to know the correct and fact they should research about it if it's really made to be a "6" or "9". Experiences with proper knowledge would be powerful that can change your life. Because experiences itself is not enough for you to have a widen up your opportunities just like in the knowledge, without experience it's just like a piece. You could apply it in Bitcoin learning so these two are important.

Experience first, knowledge later? This sounds paradoxical to me and is the opposite of what we're doing. Just like when you grow up and start going to school, you need to have knowledge in school before you graduate to gain experience. How will you work when you have no knowledge, let alone gain experience?
In your example: an experienced person is someone who has knowledge and has worked for many years. Not that they only have experience without knowledge, I have not seen anyone with experience without knowledge.

I think that experience is the most important, because knowledge is created by experience, so experience is the parent of knowledge and experience that makes us learn better and also correct mistakes.
although both are very important to have but experience will make us better at what we do and what we want, and experience is something we experience while knowledge is only limited to knowing.
Knowledge is the root word for knowing or just knowing, and means understanding something and can be supported by experience and can be proven by action.

Experience is always the best teacher. That doesn't mean that knowledge is not require or neccessary. Someone who has experience is far better than knowledge because experience is series of hard work and multiple mistakes. Experience is practically achieved and knowledge is mostly theorical.
In bitcoin investment, i d' rather go to someone with much experience because he has made a mistake before and learnt from them.
Experience is the combination of theoritical and practical learning, so both are required.

Not only with bitcoin but any field, I think requires knowledge and experience. Both are important factors in determining the capacity of a person. The two will complement each other because sometimes, what we learn from knowledge will be a little different when applied in practice, so both need to be used flexibly to achieve the best effect.

As a newbie, I also think knowledge is the first thing they need because once they have basic knowledge, it will be easier to practice to gain experience than someone who has no knowledge but has entered practice.

I still remember very well, the person who first introduced me to Bitcoin was my friend, he had known and had experience in Bitcoin for several years at that time (before me), I asked him a lot and fortunately, he always gave me information good and proper and proven that his experience has taught him a lot, then slowly I started to find out about the knowledge (ins and outs) of bitcoin - blockchain technology - cryptocurrency. learning from experienced people is luck imo it's like a new player using an elevator that goes straight to the top, not climbing the stairs slowly.

When you learn from an experienced person, you sure learn something that a knowledgeable person can not teach you. As I mentioned, experienced person can give you some inside knowledge what he has archived through experience. You do not go at the top with an escalator, but sure the process of learning becomes less difficult. That person can teach you shortcuts which will help you learn quickly. And when you apply that on your own, you can see that that is what he has taught you.
But implementing that learned knowledge is up to you.

Knowledge and Experience are two same concepts with the aspect of congruence but people think that these are different from each other. here in this thread, we were talking about the circumstance of the Cryptocurrency-Market. Here which one is more important (Knowledge and Experience)? So personally I emphasize experience in this current scenario because experience is in the name of many collectible things like awareness, educated, success & failure in the past of practical life, which all things come in one word called "Experience".On the other hand, Knowledge is just information and ideas which are acquired through experience or education. So therefore the perspective of investor or trader experience is very important for a person to run the business properly. Only relay on Knowledge is not so fair for investors or traders to become successful. To become a fortunate trader we have to get knowledge through experience & practical work on it (Technical analysis, Fundamental Analysis) to get better results.

Your analysis really gives me a different perspective on experience and knowledge.

I think both are necessary, and we must use them flexibly for maximum effect. As far as you think, experience is the most important and knowledge can be gained through experience. This is also true, but for beginners, if there is no knowledge, it is very difficult to start practicing immediately, although long practice will help gain knowledge. But if we have prior knowledge, it will be much easier to put into practice, and avoiding mistakes will be significantly less than starting without knowledge.
But there is a distinct difference between the knowledge we can buy from others, but the experience cannot, and we need to trade time, effort, and money to get it.

All fields require both knowledge and experience. but without knowledge you will never do anything and if you start something and use it for a long time, experience is automatically gained. But first of all, knowledge is needed.  Without knowledge you cannot do anything. but without experience you can start a thing but not complete it successfully. experience cannot be gained without knowledge. but it is possible to gain knowledge without experience. So according to me both are needed but knowledge is needed first
