Seems more like few persons are scared that they may loss to their Bitcoin hodlings due to the recent drops in price of Bitcoin
This is very understandable but as a Bitcoin investor you should know that with the series of price changes Bitcoin has encountered over the years we can say that it rises in value more than it drops .
Therefore I want to urge all my fellow bitcointalkers to not lose interest in holding because of these little drops in price  keep holding your Bitcoin .It will definitely boom soon

It’s normal that there’s someone that being scared because the value is dropping. You can’t urge everyone to hold since it’s their own money and not yours. This scenario already happened in the past many times and it’s a normal process to remove those weak hands to make the community pure strong holder.

There’s always someone willing to takeover for those who are scared so let them be. Real bitcoin enthusiast don’t see the price of Bitcoin with current value. You will understand this if you watch many times how scared people react on every price drop.

^Definitely right and this is true.
Probably those people who are selling are not selling the below the price from where they purchased it, only dumb people will do that for sure.
However, the real BTC enthusiast will not look at the market price closely, or watch the price daily, they aim for their goal to make a profit in a long term and that is the reason they hold it in a long term. BTC price has been proven that will always create an ATH and that time is near to come. So I am not surprised the real enthusiast will understand the word of long-term holding.

When someone hold Bitcoin they may lose some money if the price of BTC will decrease instead of losing their Bitcoin holdings. When the price decrease then the value of their BTC will change but the amount of BTC that a holder have won't change at all. You are giving them the wrong information that they will lose the BTC that they areholding if the price decrease. As you can see, my explanation is what will really happen when some hold BTC and what will happen when price change.

As of when Bitcoin price got to $20k this year, it increased $30k which is about 50% increase between February to this month. So now that the price has reduced by just about 8%, those that still bought in the range of $16k to $25k are not at a loss yet, and even the 8% drop in price is not enough to panic, unless for newbie investors. This is not the time to panic and sell off; the drop in price is even a better opportunity to buy more. Let us not forget that in 2011 Bitcoin fell by -99%.

to be honest, I don't think the OP of that thread is scared of the recent price drop. I think he was just surprised and curious about the sudden drop of Bitcoin's price. but then again, I am pretty sure that there are people who are scared about Bitcoin's price dropping these past few days, I mean it is inevitable to happen.

I agree with the most part but not this part; how sure are you actually are that it will "boom" soon? There are definitely no guarantees that we will have a full-fledged bull market regardless of what indicator you are using.

Yeah, good advice. You can't lose Bitcoin if you just hold it. You lose it when you sell it.
And it's obvious that Bitcoin will come back to 70k eventually so it's just a matter of time.
Meanwhile, it's important to NOT be afraid and stay positive.

DCA is also a good idea to accumulate some cheap BTC while you wait. It will make you even richer when Bitcoin will finally go up.

When I see that kind of threads I actually think that the OP is not scared at all, instead he's trying to scare the others. I mean let's be serious and analyze the situation: bitcoin a just ~10 years ago was worth a few dollars, now it's worth almost $28k (~$27,600 while I'm writing), how could be someone worried? Also the whole ecosystem keeps growing, government are not as anti-bitcoin as they used to be, more and more people own and use bitcoin, several big corporations own it. Just use a little brain and you know why it's pointless worrying about today's price.

No doubt the Bitcoin market will boom again. It is very normal for Bitcoin price to fall. Hopefully not everyone will sell their bitcoins for a small price drop. Comparatively, the price drop of Bitcoin during this period is much less than other periods. A few days ago when the price of Bitcoin was close to $15000 but people did not sell their Bitcoin holdings.  So I don't expect people to make such decisions for this small price change. Market Changes We are going to see something good in the Bitcoin market very soon.

That's the nature of the financial markets, there are always people who are scared when prices fall, but there will always be those who wait for the price to fall more and see it as a golden opportunity. We can't expect everyone not to panic, nobody is selling low price bitcoins, and everyone is holding their bitcoins, if that happens, I think the market will crash soon. The marketplace is like a battlefield, if we win, there will definitely be losers, and wanting others to win means we have to accept our losses.

Don't stick with daily trading as trading is more difficult than investment. You can not beat the market in the long run if you are a daily trader.

If you have a wider view, you will see that there is less volatility from Bitcoin. Yearly candles (https://buybitcoinworldwide.com/stats/yearly-candles/) are able to show you a wide view on market changes. It helps you to see a trend better and the trend is upwards since 2009.

The chart shows that in history, only one red yearly candle for each Bitcoin cycle. If history won't change, we will have 2023 as a green year and you don't have to worry about price changes in a few days.

Being an investor it is very normal to feel scared in an investment specially if you are a beginner and just recently invested in Bitcoin then suddenly your investment  falls down. Even me i will feel scared as well on that kind of situation. Proper education and doing research in crypto currency can help an investor to have an open mind when it comes to investing. Always bear in mind that crypto currencies involves volatility that happens more often, you may earn profit or you may loose. What i can add up is to wait for the market to go down and take advantage of buying bitcoin then hodl it for a long time.

there is nothing to be scared of if you risk the amount that you can afford to lose. investing into crypto isn't like any other investments out there in which you are laxed since anytime you can lose any amount and also you need to monitor the prices for the sake of sleeping every night soundly. investment here is close to gambling than investing so you must be prepared at what will comes next.

Real investors are not afraid of how bitcoin investment goes down, because we all know that this is not how the bitcoin market has been in the past years; it usually goes down and then goes up. Furthermore, before you invest, I believe you should read the rules and regulations guiding the Bitcoin investment and other cryptocurrencies that there is risk behind it, which means you believe in the risk and are willing to accept whatever it is. Real investors keep these in mind since they understand how the market works.
So, what are you afraid of? Though it is difficult to watch your money fall and know that you may lose it, I feel that this type of fear should be reserved for those who are new to bitcoin investing.

Those who are scared are the ones who doesn't know how Bitcoin's price actually moves.
In short, it's either they are first timers when it comes to investing into Bitcoin, or they are just people who are panicking very easily when they see the total amount of their holdings go down.

Well, I also experienced this when I was starting to invest into Bitcoin. I felt scared as well when I'm holding Bitcoin, but I continued to learn, and study, and from that I learn that Bitcoin really moves that way, and I adjusted into it to the point where I'm not feeling anything whenever Bitcoin's price goes down, and even if it goes up TBH. I feel that those newbies will understand how Bitcoin moves after experiencing it, and they will adjust into it as well and will not scared anymore.

Therefore I want to urge all my fellow bitcointalkers to not lose interest in holding because of these little drops in price  keep holding your Bitcoin .It will definitely boom soon
Bitcointalkers? I like how you address us. :D

Anyway, I don't have any reason why not to hold Bitcoin at all. I mean I've got the time since I'm at my mid-20's still, and I also have the money to continuously accumulate it. I prefer holding as well as it is stress-free compare to when you are trading it. I'm also not afraid in Bitcoin's price going down. Like I said, I'm already at the point where I don't feel anything when price goes down, and goes up.

My belief in Bitcoin can not be easily faded away not by this current dump, we are supposed to knot the spots and season Bitcoin having a terrible dip, bear with it and use that opportunity to bagged more coins during the bear. Holding Bitcoin will bring profits later on, probably not this year but in the nearest future. Bitcoin have a bright future, we know the history of bitcoin and the massive pump movements in the past, it will be repeated and this time around, $100k is the target for the project, every Bitcoin holders should exercise patience because more time required gigantic profits.

If the person bought Bitcoin with a purpose for long term investment and he can survive without need to touch his investment, definitely he will not care with the sudden change since he's not want to earn profit through short term holding.

If the person bought Bitcoin with a purpose for trading or convert all of his wealth into Bitcoin because he's not want to hold fiat anymore, he need to convert his Bitcoin to fiat and use it to fulfill his daily need or earn small profit.

Which mean it's depends on the user.

Thank you for reminding us. But surely many people are aware of that, it's not the same as before. But there are still those who need to be advised about that because there are still those who do not know because they are beginners. Beginners should understand that it is normal for these dumps to happen in the market, they must happen in order for the market to be balanced. In my view, the market is only undergoing a healthy correction and it is possible that it will create a new high soon.

You are right, many people are wondering about the current state of the bitcoin price, it seems that many bitcoin investors are confused about the current situation and circumstances. But with so many bitcoin investors asking questions about prices and so on, this indicates that bitcoin is always taken into account and always exists in the investment sector.

And actually, for bitcoin investors, don't worry too much about bitcoin prices, which are always going up and down like recently, because there have always been cycles, where bitcoin always goes up and down quickly like that. So there is no need to worry too much, things like that will damage the mind and will reduce focus when doing analysis.

And in essence, we as bitcoin investors must be more calm when faced with a situation like today, because I'm sure bitcoin will continue to increase. Because the bitcoin halving is coming soon, around 2024-2025, so you have to stay calm, patient and focused.

The only people that should be scared because bitcoin price is dropping are the newbies, I don't think someone that have been in crypto space for long time will be scared of bitcoin price dropping. We don't even expect bitcoin price to be going up without coming down, it those not really make any sense, whenever their is bear market, it gives everyone opportunities to buy their bitcoin at a cheaper rate. But I notice the weak buy bitcoin at the top and sell when the price is down, but the strong always buy at the bottom and sell at the top.

everyone is scared of losing money due to volatility in price and its reality and as people are afraid of losing money when they examined the recent decrease in price therefore it is necessary for them to make a look towards those individuals who have achieved higher return as a result of their investment in Bitcoin.

They should not be afraid of dropping price when they store their bitcoin for more than a year because the little the time to hold the little will be profit and vice versa. We can just talk  about the concept of bitcoin, ups and downs and about its reality but we cannot force to make investment because they have their little money so of course everyone will be in fear when the market downs and not everyone can manage the risk.

They will understand only when they take step towards reality and gain some experience of losing and making money.

You should published this post on twitter instead here on Bitcointalk forum because most of the user especially the long time member here doesn’t check the price frequently. Holding is our nature in time like this. The account that you use for example is just registered last month. You won’t see any high rank or old member posting that kind of shit here because are always holding. The only time we sell is when we need money since most of us is already on profit because we purchased at the bottom before this mega bullrun happened.

Be a lamb and spread this word on other social media out where weak hands usually hang out and feast with this kind of negativity in Bitcoin because Bitcointalk is a solid community.

Exactly mate and I couldn't agree any less with you because any actual Bitcoin investor should be aware of the price movements of Bitcoin as a result of its volatility which is the major reason for the profit and losses in Bitcoin industry.
Most times I know that reason investors are rather happy when the market deepens so as to seize the opportunity to comb and rack in more coins to their portfolio rather than panicking to sell their coin.

It is normal to still have people who are scared of investing in Bitcoin because if you'll agree with me that there are still people out there who aren't sure of Bitcoin and still sees it as a scam.

Yes, but it depends on what topic is being discussed. The OP is talking about bitcoin in an investment context, maybe about the best strategy for generating worth it returns in the long term. This is clearly discussion that has nothing to do with bitcoin use cases as currency, but about the potential of the price of bitcoin in any time frame.

So far we have been and are still optimistic about Bitcoin for the future so that buying and holding is still an attitude that continues to be applied with each target.
When they are willing to research and study how Bitcoin will be in the future, then those who are worried now will turn into optimists like us.
A good strategy for expecting long-term returns is to buy and hold your bitcoin.
I agree on that, even if you have an unused budget then I think it's still wise enough to invest in bitcoin. Instead of gold, land or other investment assets, I think bitcoin is a wise choice right now as one of a long term best investment asset.

So the conclusion is, buy hold and ignore short term volatility. It is expected and possible for you to generate good returns with the risk if this strategy is implemented.

It's the trader another risk to take, cuz it can fluctuate rapidly in short periods of time. The factors that can influence the price of bitcoin, such as market sentimen, regulatory changes, global events, and technological advancement.

as a trader also its better to know that it involves significant risk, and it is essential to conduct thorough research or its better to seek professional advice or friendly advice before making any investment decisions. It is crucial to consider your financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment time horizon before investing to bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies.

Many people in this forum still hold their bitcoins because they believe they can still increase again.
The current drop in price makes them even more interested in buying bitcoin again because they know this drop is only temporary and bitcoin still has a chance to go up high.
That's why many of us still advise you to keep buying bitcoin and not panic over this downturn.
Bitcoin has been such a long term investment for those of us here that we want to hold on to it and sell it at the next high.

Exactly, it's normal for Bitcoin to drop to 27k that's proved it's volatility. it also gives chance for people to hop in the market as it temporarily dump in the market. Investing in Bitcoin is actually good especially in long term. With it's history there's no doubt it will increase again and might hit a new record of it's value. Just be wise in doing your calls for you to gain profit, take advantage of the current situation so when it pump you'll be riding.

It will not be lost on other holders to feel worried when the value of Bitcoin decreases. There are and still are people who will suddenly sell their bitcoin holdings because of the fear that it will fall by a large amount.

Of course, if you are a long-term holder, you will not think about these things, instead you will think that after 5 or 10 years you will sell it, you don't care if next week, next month the price of bitcoin will fall as long as the goal is Your target is to sell after 5 years or more depending on us.

I believe you gave the answer all because I don't think people who have been in the cryptocurrency sector for so long and have a strong understanding of market price fluctuations would be worried right now when the price is only slightly down.I agree with you that only newcomers would have this kind of worry, and even newcomers who have a decent understanding of Bitcoin's volatility will think that its normal for price fluctuation either decreasing or increasing because people are trading it base on their understanding periods.

In fact, I don't think anyone holding Bitcoin or other potential coins at this point will be alarmed because I don't anticipate a significant price drop for those who have been holding for a while, unless they have invested more than they can comfortably afford.

As a trader, the decision to "hodl" or hold onto Bitcoin for an extended period can be a valid strategy, depending on your investment goals and risk tolerance. Bitcoin is known for its volatility, and its price can fluctuate significantly in short periods. However, over the long term, Bitcoin has shown a history of strong returns.

If you're confident in Bitcoin's long-term prospects and believe that its value will continue to appreciate, then holding onto your Bitcoin can be a viable strategy. However, it's essential to keep in mind that hodling Bitcoin involves risks, and the price can still drop significantly in the short term. Therefore, it's essential to have a well-thought-out investment plan and a diversified portfolio to manage risk effectively.

Ultimately, the decision to hodl Bitcoin or trade it actively should be based on your investment goals, risk tolerance, and market outlook. Both strategies can be profitable when executed correctly, but it's crucial to do your research and make informed decisions based on your unique circumstances.

It’s normal that there’s someone that being scared because the value is dropping. You can’t urge everyone to hold since it’s their own money and not yours. This scenario already happened in the past many times and it’s a normal process to remove those weak hands to make the community pure strong holder.
You're right, we can't push what is our own will, let their scenario be what's important, we know what the potential for bitcoin will be like in the future if it becomes a long-term investment in bitcoin, then we need to do it ourselves, not to pressure everyone because we don't have the right to do that.

If they have a weak hand by selling BTC when the price drops because of fear then they will regret it later because this is humane where there are those who are afraid of losing during a decline even though BTC has never decreased, just believe what we have with the BTC.

There’s always someone willing to takeover for those who are scared so let them be. Real bitcoin enthusiast don’t see the price of Bitcoin with current value. You will understand this if you watch many times how scared people react on every price drop.
Well, I don't see the value of the current BTC price because what I'm doing will continue to do DCA in the best way, I see the potential now is the right time to keep accumulating so that there will be more profits later when bitcoin becomes bullrun and hits the ATH level again.

Holding your bitcoin is like keep the treasure in your old house at un identify place for your future. One day that treasure will help you a lot.Even it will clear your medical bills at the old ages.Mnay old people not getting the support from their old children and siblings. Because their children will concentrate on their children and leave their parents which is not a good one.So it's better to hold some money for the savings at least for the medical expenses at your old ages, keeping at bitcoin will add your additional dollars in the long run.Since you are planned to hold for the old ages medical treatment. Finally it may gives you 100 percentage profit.

I saw people that even if they want to hold for longer time, they have no option but to sell because of those unforeseen situations just like what you've mentioned.
And one of it is all about paying medical bills. We can see that a person who sold his bitcoins in need of cash for that purpose of paying hospital bills.
That's already a good purpose to be considered and when those people that have held for long, they've now seen the importance of having bitcoin that they can use in any time that the time may ask.

The price didn't drop particularly low, IMO, but those who think it will fall down even more and who aren't willing to wait for lots of months or perhaps over a year for Bitcoin to go on a bull run are reasonable in the desire to cash out now. I don't care about the price as much and try to be more flexible, but I don't judge those who choose to sell, and we can't convince people not to do it, since we can't guarantee that Bitcoin will be up soon.

Bitcoin is proven to be cyclical and this Bitcoin price adjustment is normal.  It is obvious that this is just a correction due to the current Bitcoin price increase.  It is logical that people will cash out especially those who bought at a lower price.

The threads like the one mentioned are just here to FUD the market so that they can buy BTC at a much lower price (if they intend to) or just trolling the discussion board and bait naive investors into selling their stash at a loss (if they happen to buy at the recent BTC price increase)

There had been lots of threads like the one @OP linked and in the end, it is proven futile because the Bitcoin market refutes them.  One thing for sure is that we should not get easily swayed by this kind of thread, Bitcoin market had proven itself again and again and the current price movement is just normal.

As long as this is the result of a strategy which has been thoroughly tested then there is nothing wrong with selling at the moment, however if someone is selling their coins out of panic then this is a completely different scenario, because as you state the drop we are experimenting is of only 10%, and while in other markets such a drop could be disastrous, on this market this is relatively common, and anyone that panics over such a movement probably is not ready to be invested on this market anyway.

It isn't easy to not be afraid when you check the market daily especially when you know that you have little bitcoin and the process to buy them was arduous. Well, I think that we do not have any option than to keep holding. We have too much knowledge and faith in bitcoin's potential backed up with historical evidence to chicken out now.

Stay on course guys. Stop looking at the price. Stay consistent with your strategy and keep buy small portions weekly, monthly or whatever way you have decided to buy more. It is when the market price shakes that we must hold for dear life.

Those who are afraid of the price of bitcoin are not full pro Bitcoin enthusiasts but bypass investors. How can someone be afraid of investing on bitcoin because of the unstable market price? In bitcoin you never lost any unit or amount. The unit you bought is still in the wallet whenever bitcoin goes down and up. The only thing that reduces is your fiat currency and not the one in your Wallet.

Bitcointakers has no problem with the price of bitcoin unless the user is a new user in the forum. All the old users are aware of the nature of the price. They should not be afraid of anything, they should be courageous in it.

At the end of the day, it is all relative- in which everything depends on the investment goal per person.

For example, a person who invests $1,000 may consider such investment as relatively small, while for others investing $1,000 is their peak for the moment. But the end goal remains the same- everyone wants to experience profit and receive huge returns in a given time.

Personally, I would categorize and divide my investments into two (2) parts: one for short; and one for long-term investment. If my short-term investment profited, I will use 70% of the profits as a reinvestment again for short-term usage and the remaining 30% for long-term HODLing.

I totally agree with this post. Many people are here just with the idea the get rich almost overnight investing very little money, without even understanding bitcoin and what it actually represents and allows you to do. And those the type of people who lose money and then they talk sh!t about bitcoin very time it goes down. I you're a hodler and you understand how bitcoin works there is no way that you'd sell, especially below your buying price.

If a person has the knowledge and is well informed about the market movement specifically the Bitcoin market, he wouldn't fret seeing Bitcoin price going down by 10%.  He would know that this kind of market movement is normal and that eventually the Bitcoin market will recover.  If a person knows that the Bitcoin market is cyclical, he wouldn't panic because he knows he just needs time and the price will eventually recover even increase more than the amount he invested.

In short, it is the knowledge that dictates the emotion of traders and investors.  Confidence in the market also springs out of the knowledge a trader has.  So seeing people panic means he doesn't have enough knowledge about the market he is involved with.

To be very honest with you, Anyone who has been following and studying cryptocurrencies are aware that everytime bitcoin prices comes down crashing it’s probably the best time to invest even more into it. YES it does sound very risky and very unusual advice to ask someone to invest when the market is crashing in front you but we have all seen how bitcoin works and are able to read the patterns. Though I can only imagine how painful it must be for someone new to witness the crash right after they decide to invest into it.

As a beginner, I used to think the same way. Whenever Bitcoin took a dip, I would become anxious and worry that it would never recover. However, I later realized that this fear stemmed from my lack of knowledge and that serious investors don't panic over short-term fluctuations. Unfortunately, many new Bitcoin users share this same mindset and end up losing their Bitcoin and reducing their overall crypto portfolio due to fear-based decisions. Therefore, it is crucial to educate ourselves on Bitcoin and its price movements, using tools such as live charts and historical data to gain a better understanding of its behavior

This absolutely correct but most time you don't need to reinvest at the peak level after selling your initial investments, what you should do is to wait to see if there will be another great opportunity for the market to drop by 10 percent changes, then you could take it up from there. I don't usually encourage such investment because it may results to lose.. Why lemme explain a bit

E.g, You initially invested $2000 and it sold $2500, meaning you had a profits of $500 and you invested another $1000 or so on, have you considered if market dropped by 30 percent. you have lost about $300 from your initial profits leaving you with a $2200, have you considered if you invested more than $1k then so your lose will also increase. Therefore, I always advised you should a while to monitor the market before investing again.

Snip
If a person has the knowledge and is well informed about the market movement specifically the Bitcoin market, he wouldn't fret seeing Bitcoin price going down by 10%.

This is very common with market there are some people who don't always have patient seeing market going downside ways.

I have not lost interest in holding bitcoin long term even if I have to see my portfolio drop 10% at a time. I believe in the huge potential of bitcoin in the long term and shouldn't a correction like last week affect my interest. It doesn't impact me financially as long as I still hold the bitcoin, it's just that the conversion value fluctuates.

So far the holders are the real winners regardless of how many ATH moments they have crossed. In fact bitcoin is still very likely to hit new ATH in the coming year [maybe in the next 2-3 years] which should be the reason why you are holding.

Same here, and I admit that was a newbie error.  As time goes by, the experience accumulated and how I witness Bitcoin market movement, this kind of Bitcoin dip is normal in a high volatility market.  Bitcoin market had experience worst scenario than this and yet, Bitcoin recovers and even break its ATH at the end.  This also shows that Bitcoin market moves in a cycle pattern and means, if the market goes down, it will eventually goes up and recover.

Aside from that, even though we have invested in Bitcoin at its current ATH ($69k) any losses are just paper losses until we sold our Bitcoin in the current price.  1B is always 1B, we never lost anything unless we sold our holdings.  So yeah if we are aiming for profit, just keep hodling our Bitcoin until the time comes that the Bitcoin market price hits our target selling price.

That users that made that post most be new to the market because an old users wouldn't make such post. What we are experiencing in the market is just a correction and not a dump yet they're the user is getting scared.

What then would had happened if they were in the market when Bitcoin had dumps that lasted for days, they probably would had sold all their Bitcoin holdings. We only lose when we sell but don't if we keep on holding.

If you sell your Bitcoin now, you have lost as you're selling at the bottom instead of selling at the top when Bitcoin was trading above $60k. It's too late now to sell, just keep on holding and you'll be smiling sooner than you expected.

Whether the people want to hold or sell is upto them, because we can't be sure about the market to turn bullish or stay on the bearish side. Even though we're into close observation of the market we won't be able to precisely state when the price increases and for what reason the market have undergone correction or decreases. This is the riskier part of the market, and the market being unpredictable it is suggested to keep hold.

This is extremely difficult to do, as a lot of people especially these new people who are coming into the Bitcoin market, their emotions sometimes are sensitive or difficult to manage.
Most newbies can relate to this. But if you just manage and train your emotion, you will become stronger and I agree with you OP, holding is better sometimes and it's already proven over time.
But for some people who have goal just to make profits, hodling is not form them as they tend to sell once they already met their price target or goal.

Those of us who no longer see Bitcoin from the context of price because it has been proven during its journey will certainly think that it is normal for those who are worried before they realize that Bitcoin is not only a matter of price but more than that.
Yes, but it depends on what topic is being discussed. The OP is talking about bitcoin in an investment context, maybe about the best strategy for generating worth it returns in the long term. This is clearly discussion that has nothing to do with bitcoin use cases as currency, but about the potential of the price of bitcoin in any time frame.
and we know what the OP is discussing so we try to say that those of us who understand Bitcoin's journey from year to year no longer see it from the price context.
So I think it's only natural that those who are still looking at Bitcoin by price are worried.
Therefore I feel that what is conveyed is not at all out of topic and is still related to the OP's intent.
Take another look. :)

So far we have been and are still optimistic about Bitcoin for the future so that buying and holding is still an attitude that continues to be applied with each target.
When they are willing to research and study how Bitcoin will be in the future, then those who are worried now will turn into optimists like us.
-snip-

So the conclusion is, buy hold and ignore short term volatility. It is expected and possible for you to generate good returns with the risk if this strategy is implemented.
As for investing in Bitcoin, we are not talking about the short term because that is not at all the concept we want.
In my opinion, the concept of investing in Bitcoin is more suitable in the long term without neglecting the targets to be achieved.

I completely agree with your analysis of the hodling strategy for Bitcoin. It's crucial to have a long-term perspective when investing in cryptocurrencies and understand the risks involved. Market volatility is an inherent characteristic of Bitcoin, and it's important to have a well-diversified portfolio to manage this risk effectively.

Additionally, it's essential to stay informed about the latest developments in the cryptocurrency market and to have a solid understanding of the underlying technology behind Bitcoin. This knowledge can help you make informed decisions and avoid making impulsive investment decisions.

Ultimately, as you mentioned, the decision to hodl or trade Bitcoin should be based on your investment goals, risk tolerance, and market outlook. With a solid investment plan and a disciplined approach, both strategies can be profitable when executed correctly.

I also saw that topic, he is a newbie, has no market experience, and has not experienced any bearish season, so we can sympathize with his panic when the bitcoin price drops. But this is the financial market, there will always be panic dumping investors, and there will always be investors waiting to buy cheap. If all investors held and didn't sell when the market crashed, if that happened, I would be more scared for the market than happy. Because the market needs to move and to move, there must be sellers and buyers. It's the rigors of finance.

Following your plan makes you a good investor, it is not about having enough patience in the market because you can lose your money once the market proves that you are already wrong with your predictions and bias. I always have a cut loss point when I trade bitcoins in futures account, because if I keep holding it and I have high leverage; the chances of losing my capital is really high and it is what I avoiding so I think it is better if we have plan and also cut loss points. There is no wrong with selling bitcoin especially if you have plan to re entry again, my usual cut loss point when I trade bitcoin is around -8% to -10% in that way the volatility cannot easily whip me.

Your plan is the most important thing, it is not about the opinions of the other people toward the price of the bitcoin but it is about how you create and follow your plan cleanly. Many people are creating a plan for their buying and selling decisions but they never follow it and they allow others to infiltrate their mind and to follow what they have heard which cause a lot of mistakes that lead them to incur hundreds to thousands of dollar losses.

Normally some people are afraid of the recent drop of the price of bitcoin, if you have a reason for your investment in bitcoin, no matter how the price drops you will not shake because you know the reasons why you joined bitcoin investment, is normal thing in job, if you don't have plans for your salary in that job you are doing, before you know you will be tied of doing the work, because you don't have plan end of the day, the same to investments if you don't have plans for your investment, you will lose patience of investing in bitcoin. For your last post I also tried to keep my bitcoins until the end of 2019, when I was at least 25,000 bitcoins. I had no intention of ever getting to a point in a bull market. I bought a couple of coins and sold them to buy low, then just hold some.

The so called Theory of Evolution. It is part of the natural selection process! Weak ends aren't need in the space. And I'm glad it is like that! Otherwise, Bitcoin coudn't survive as it has being surviving and thriving over the years!
I learn the thing in probably half a year, when I realsied shitcoins are pure scams. One's take little time to reveal, others will take a bit longer, but they will also eliminate some individuals that are of no interest to the evolution of the species!

This is one reason why knowledge about the Bitcoin market is very important.  If we have knowledge that Bitcoin is highly volatile, then we won't be worrying about the current dips because we know that Bitcoin will recover.  The knowledge about Bitcoin's cyclic pattern also encourages us to be strong holder because we have the knowledge that Bitcoin history repeats itself, that just a few years from now we might be seeing another record of breaking ATH again.  Besides, holding Bitcoin only cost us our patience and patience is reinforced if we have knowledge about Bitcoin economics.

Better understanding about the market let us stay strong amidst all the volatility in the market. Some find this to be fearful, whereas the knowledged one consider it as an opportunity to earn out of the volatility. Always our patience gives us best rewards, and it is upto us to decide whether we need to be the prey for the whales in the market or we should have patience. With bitcoin there is nothing to worry as we were assured with the profit in the long term whereas with altcoins our focus should be on booking the profit at the earliest than waiting long. With the top listed one's we can give importance same as that we consider bitcoin as most of the altcoins follow the market movement of bitcoin.

Not only a newbie who feel hard to hold but also trader with short trading strategy. But both of them have different reasons. For a newbie, that is right that they still have unstable emotions on holding their bitcoin while the price goes down or even the volatility on a high level. But newbies are a newbies who have less experience, after they learn more and get experienced they will have more stable emotions.
For a short traders, holding is not their purpose so they are hard to hold bitcoin. They expect profit to gain their earning by doing short trading.

While traders and investors dedicate a great deal of their time to master entry and exit signals, they will do well to remember that a great deal of the success they will get as traders will come from the effective management of their emotions, investing in bitcoin can be an extremely frustrating endeavor, as even if during the bull run there is a sense of exaltation, the rest of the time remaining invested in bitcoin can be quite hard, especially for those that are just starting their journey, and only those which can overcome those feelings will be able to obtain long term success on this market.

Bitcoin is a virtual currency that no one can predict what its value will be. However, various big investors and pundits have made some predictions about the future of Bitcoin. The way Bitcoin has changed its position from its initial state to its current state does not predict what Bitcoin will reach in the future. But we all know how bright the future of Bitcoin is and we have an idea of how much it can grow in value. And with this idea we are most interested in investing in Bitcoin. Most investors invest in Bitcoin and hold it for the future, and holding is the best option. And it is wise to invest in Bitcoin and hold it for the long term because Bitcoin will reach a higher market level in the future so it is best to hold.

holding is one hardest thing in trading Bitcoin, but is the best way to be rich in Bitcoin, some times because of challenges you could just trade the coin you have held for long. It's only takes courage and determination to hold a coin.  But holding is for those that believe in the future of Bitcoin, I have some bitcoin I bought long ago, I just hold it, believing it will rise again, I can't sell it now, I'll lose more so the best way is to just forget about it, then wait for what the future.

If you sell your Bitcoin now, you have lost as you're selling at the bottom instead of selling at the top when Bitcoin was trading above $60k. It's too late now to sell, just keep on holding and you'll be smiling sooner than you expected.
Bitcoin investors especially those new to the market just need to understand that price does not just move in one direction. It takes correction and retracement waves to decide which trend is likely to dominate,  which is the simple principle applied in Elliott wave theory. A good technical analyst might sell now and have a good entry point to buy that is if the bought at a more cheaper rate earlier. But for new traders who are not conversant with the market enough it might be risky selling because the might not know what price to buy at and when to sell so they simply hold.

I think for now many investors who have been strong in investing in Bitcoin even though it is experiencing a decline but they still maintain the Bitcoin they have because they already know that Bitcoin still has a long way to go and will return to get the highest value as it happened last year, for those of us who have been in the crypto world for a long time, when it experiences a decline then we will add our investment if the capital we have is still a lot, I'm sure only new investors are worried when the Bitcoin crash occurs.

I'm one of those folks that you've described and yes, it's true that we've been holding and keeping our patience because we know what's coming and what's up ahead on this path.

The losers are the impatient people and have to sell because they're in panic. But if they have to sell because there's an unforeseen circumstance wherein the bitcoin they hold is the solution for it to solve that circumstance that has come to them unexpectedly, that's okay.

I'm sure only new investors are worried when the Bitcoin crash occurs.
That's true but even if experienced ones, we feel a bit of nervous. Just a little bit.

As an investor, you should have been able to do a proper research on the business you are about investing your funds into. That would give you a proper guide on how to invest in that project be it a long or short term investment as long as you have foreseen the future of the project to be of high expectations, then it is ok to know such about the project. As we all know, bitcoin is volatile and risky so would require a proper approach to investing in it depending on the type of investment one deemed fit in.

the problem this time wasn't just related to the price reduction. but it's the transaction fees that will weigh on Bitcoin investors. for those who are already holding Bitcoin, it won't be a problem. but those looking to buy to add Bitcoin assets to their portfolio are going to run into problems.
so even though there is a decrease in the price of Bitcoin, investors will also think about delaying buying Bitcoin first when they have to see the fees that will be charged when they want to withdraw from the exchange to the wallet.

I am impressed by your words and motives and for you encouraging us to hold on our bitcoin I really appreciate your advice thanks alot.
Well you really don't know with human man and what they are going through that really uge them not to be that holding type, in life we all do face challenges and most of them needs us to get it off with real money, we don't have to be very stigen to yourself about so it makes alot not to hold much unto our funs or bitcoin.
Most people fell very okay to keep holding but sometimes things do go wrong and uges us to lay hands on them.

Initially holding our bitcoin is the best but due to the way things are that warrant us to withdraw our bitcoin for holding it long enough. For example in country they way things are getting expensive everyday is becoming essesive so with that along can make you not to hold unto it, but it really good hold because I have seen the benefit of holding you bitcoin.

True, this issue already have been discussed many times but it's a good observation for you to connect it to the topic. Since there's a lot of users that have transactions everyday then it's more likely for the transaction fee to be expensive. So people despite to any situation on the market they choose to hodl their BTC since fees are too heavy. Even people who would try to buy wouldn't risk to pay for those fees.

Even though the return on a bitcoin investment is never guaranteed for various reasons, it is true that bitcoin and its future potential allows all investors to earn return on their investment. Price volatility is normal and will never be stable, so I believe everyone should be educated about it.

Instead of gold or any other investment, bitcoin is by far the best investment asset I have ever considered. The upcoming halving in 2024 will probably make a lot of people regret if they don't buy bitcoin now, I mean the halving will likely ecorage more demand which will very likely result in a large scale price increase. I'm just repeating past experiences that we should use for the future although repetition is something that can never be ascertained.

I agree to this, people should keep holding their coins as long as they can, but mainly bitcoin because there could be some other coins that could end up with trouble, we have seen that happen before and I do not really want to have something like that again, I hope that it will get to a point where it will be considered a lot better and we could have some more investment in the end, but that doesn't mean that we should be considering every coin great to hold, we all know that some of them will be great and some of them will be terrible so we are going to just accept the situation. I know that it is going to take a while but bitcoin is the only one that can guarantee a lot more profit in the long run and we should be trying to be a lot more patient with it whenever we can.

Yes some people are scary of the recent drop of the price, but anyhow they want to invest in Bitcoin is their choice, is their own money they use to invest so they can do whatever they like, but if you are scared of the dropping of the price, you invest what you can afford to lose, so that you will not regrets later. Just understand the market and invest when the market is in bearish. If you want to invest or buy do it in the right time, is good or when the price drops, and when the price grow up again you make a good profits.  And the DCA pattern is one of the strategies that is good to use.

I'm actually new to this kind of thing because it's only been a few years in the bitcoin circle like this but with the current conditions actually even though it's normal to feel worried but I think with the previous conditions this isn't too worrying because the possibility of a correction after $ 31k is certain and indeed seeing maybe $25k is also possible. it's just that in this case wouldn't it be better like that because with this there is actually a chance to climb higher because of course every increase there must be a correction first to strengthen the foundation so it doesn't collapse again when this becomes positive.
Indeed, in this case it is up to each individual because as you said it is their money but on the other hand it would be a shame if in the end they gave up even though they had already gone through a period which was actually worse than this.

People who feel scared about the current price drop of Bitcoin probably don't understand enough about Bitcoin price history. If they already learned the price history of Bitcoin, they must understand why the price drops during the bearish season. It is something normal for Bitcoin to drop, especially in the bearish season. So, if we see many times of Bitcoin drops, it is not a very surprising thing. Even in the bullish season, Bitcoin price doesn't always increase, there is time for Bitcoin to drop. Bitcoin price needs to drop first before it rises, it is impossible to always rise every time.

Indeed, long term us my purpose of having Bitcoin investment. At least, I can invest it unt the bullish season is coming and reaching price that I tarhet. Long term holding really needs big patience so that we are able tonhold the coins whatever the condition. The difficult thing is when the Big FUD is coming and making the price crashed so high. Sometimes, we feel it very uncomfortable. But once more, long term holding just needs patience, so we must be more patient whatever the condition.

In fact, I think it's best to invest in Bitcoin for the long term. However, there are many people who do not invest by understanding the market position and subsequently their money is at risk. But I will invest in this bitcoin when the market turns bearish again and then join the investment to hold for a long time. Investing for the long term requires confidence and not losing patience, so it is wise to hold onto Bitcoin with sufficient patience. And those who get impatient and suffer from volatility by holding bitcoins will never get good money profit. Because they get restless by investing and later sell their money. So those who are interested in investing must have faith and trust for a long time.

It's not that new and if you have been here in the forum for a few yeas now then this type of discussion should not surprise you.

Fact is, it is easy to say those words that we should keep on holding our assets despite the market's declination because that is what we should do. But in reality, we cannot really blame these types of investors who gets easily scared in time they see a declination because in the first place, it is their money and not ours, they are in control of it and we are not.

I reckon that we should let them be because as an investor, we should know what we're trying to get into and these declinations are just normal just like how the price increase are normal. Let's be thankful instead because weak hands are being removed as we only need more of those solid hodlers.

And this feeling is quite normal but that's why an encouragement and advice is needed here to boost the confidence of most new time investors because they are still new to the ecosystem and the volatility of bitcoin can make do crazy things that can lead them into losing out from the potential benefit that is involved when you hold your coins for a long term investment. I remember when I bought my first coins although the amount was small but I would still check the market price everyday to see if actually the price is pumping or dumping  ;D but it was stories of how an long term investment is possibly the best type of investment and advice from seniors here about letting go of any attachment I have with the investment so that I can actually get some benefits and the DCA strategy that help me in securing a strong investment plan for myself.

It's hard to do that. People who are just starting out will have a thin amount of patience. They will feel anxious if there is a slight change in the price. That is the challenge, which is difficult for new or old people to master. A lot of people want to make a quick profit and that's hard for Bitcoin and other cryptos.
Practicing patience takes a long time, even I only understood not long ago. It is very difficult to master emotions. Because emotions are the main factor that must be mastered by a trader with a holding type.

Emotional intelligence is also important, especially for holding-type traders, who must learn to manage their emotions in the face of market uncertainty. The temptation to make quick profits is so great that it can lead to nervousness and impulsive decision making, especially when the market fluctuates. Trading in cryptocurrencies requires what you mean and it is very relevant and a common challenge for both new and experienced traders as I have been too.

I am sure only new investors are afraid of the current state of the Bitcoin market because it is experiencing a decline, but for investors who have long been accustomed to this situation even they continue to buy Bitcoin to be used as an asset in the future because they believe Bitcoin will reach back the highest value as it has ever happened, if there are still many assets that we have today then continue to invest never hesitate because Bitcoin is indeed a future asset A very promising front to achieve success.
You are right, since this is a new phenomenon for them and they will have to figure it out in many ways and a lot of new things will need to be learned about the market and what affects the price in the end. But according to my observations, new investors, those whom I know they plan to store for a long time until the price is at a minimum above 50k dollars.

There is no doubt that the Bitcoin market will grow again. Bitcoin market decline is not a statistic but a normal thing. Yet we all know that cryptocurrency markets are always on top of its price fluctuations. At the moment basically Bitcoin has increased relatively much according to the previous market. A few days ago the Bitcoin market was very low but currently it has pumped up. But it is best to invest in Bitcoin and hold it for a long time because the market position is suitable for investment now. at the moment the Bitcoin market is a bit low so if people decide to invest from here, there will be no loss but there will be a desire for profit.

Holders, believers, speculators, and a short-term trader, everyone has a different mentality, just do your own thing well, and I am relatively rational and objective when it comes to investment strategies. The pie thing. I don't have the energy and time to watch the market every day, just because I believe, because time gives me the best answer.

There’s always someone willing to takeover for those who are scared so let them be. Real bitcoin enthusiast don’t see the price of Bitcoin with current value. You will understand this if you watch many times how scared people react on every price drop.

True Bitcoin holders do not always observe price differences every day, because most of them are people who hold them for long and long periods of time, but maybe most people who invest in Bitcoin without seeing the real aspects of Bitcoin often they will ramped with fear that may be unnatural or excessive. indeed the fear at the time of the decline is natural because the name Investment does not escape risk, and side effects occur when they are too afraid that they make sales without even paying attention to the price when buying.

But as true Bitcoin holders, we ensure that they will not make mistakes that may often happen to beginners, they have been in Bitcoin for a very long time, automatically they already know the movement of Bitcoin in the graphs, sometimes they will go up and it could be they are moving down the line, but we assume that taking the decision to sell bitcoins under pressure of fear is not professional thinking and it is not wise in our opinion.

Right on, we've got our own goals while we stay in this market.

That's okay if you don't have time to watch the market. If you're just holding Bitcoin, you don't have to exert a lot of time on it and just set yourself a price and timeframe and you're all good.

There is no doubt that the Bitcoin market will grow again.
Those that think that the market will never be up again even if we're approaching to the next halving, they're are just unbelievers and have missed buying at the bottom so, they're discouraging people from buying.

Therefore I want to urge all my fellow bitcointalkers to not lose interest in holding because of these little drops in price  keep holding your Bitcoin .
Nobody can be forced to follow your wishes; everyone has the right to make their own decisions. That might be good to you, but it might not be for others.

It will definitely boom soon
Oh wow! Would you take responsibility if something went wrong given the statement you made?

What we have here is just an opinion and it will be on your own discretion how will you decide towards the matter, of course, we will see some post here urging us to hold despite what's happening in the market these days and we should know too that it is indeed the right thing to do especially if we are hodling for long term purposes. But if the investors will back out after seeing some declination, that's on their part because they have a weak hands and it's a good thing for us as we do not want that in our community.

Instead of losing their Bitcoin holdings, someone who holds Bitcoin could lose some money if the price of BTC falls. The value of their Bitcoin will vary when the price falls, but the total number of Bitcoins in possession will remain unchanged. You are misinforming them when you say that if the price drops, they will lose the Bitcoins they currently own. As you can see, my justification explains what will actually occur if certain people retain Bitcoin and what will occur when its price changes.

What you should note is that you can't control everyone feelings and emotions towards their asset or investment. There are people who may endure seeing their investment losing 20 to 40 percent without fear but there are some people who may not endure seeing such in there investment and may decides to sell and secure their investment without knowing they are feeding the market.
As a bitcoin investor, I believe he or she is expected to understand how bitcoin prices fluctuate. The issue of emotion or fear of how bitcoin prices fall while you have invested should not be a concern because you know that it will rise and you will definitely have your money back with profit. Even if you are a beginner, you should consider bitcoin price rising more than it dropping.

If you observe someone losing his or her bitcoin because the price has fallen, I believe he or she is not ready to hodl for a long time or has an emergency problem to cover and there is no other way to earn money than to sell the Bitcoin.

If you plan your Bitcoin for a long-term holding, you don't need to worry when the price drop currently. As long as the number of your Bitcoin isn't changed, you still have hope for gaining profits in the future. Don't think too much if the value of your Bitcoin asset is decreasing now, the price drop will be over soon. You must be patient and never think to sell your Bitcoin in a panic. If you sell it in a hurry, you must regret it in the future. To avoid it, you are better to not too often checking the Bitcoin price.

I agree with what you said because regardless, these views will never be the same but they do point to the same goal.
I think it doesn't matter for that because we do have our own goals and arguments but on the other hand, whether it's holders, Bitcoin believers or even day traders all have the same goal which is profit for themselves.
Now the choice is in the hands of each in this case whether you want to last a long enough period of time for investment or take advantage of momentum with day trading, everything can still be done, it's just that in this case we have to recognize ourselves.

I am in this case the same as you because I cannot continue to stay in front of a computer screen or gadget just to monitor the movement of bitcoin so the most possible is to save for a certain period of time.

Investors mentioned by OP are the ones who aren't used to crypto market yet. Probably they are new on this kind of investment yet, so they fear events that veteran investors don't worry anymore about, since they have gained enough experience to understand the market is highly volatile, pushing the price downside, although it recovers later once a new season begins. All they have to do is to wait, but it's that easy to tell this to newbies.

They have to learn by themselves once they see the mistake they have done by selling Bitcoin on the wrong time, after a correction in price.

When you are into something new, you worry about anything that occurs within or between it, but when you are into the same thing for a long time, you choose not to worry about it even if it appears to be collapsing today or tomorrow because you know that it will recover given its past performance. What I just said is how new or experienced users of the crypto space feel and perceive bitcoin when its price falls.

Those with experience will always believe that a drop in Bitcoin price is a sign to start buying.
The cheaper the price, the more bitcoins can be obtained. There will be no panic for those who are experienced and already know about Bitcoin's past and how the new price will be reached by Bitcoin. bitcoin continues to grow over time.

But for those who are new and do not fully understand the movement of Bitcoin, will panic and dump at low prices when the price crashes.
This is a panic that will be detrimental.

Must have good management to be able to follow the market because the market continues to fluctuate.
Those who can survive he will get the benefits.

Evidently, people don't understand history or the rudiments about which a thing operates and still, they jump in for the gain because, they've heard of a possibility. That's what has been the case for most and in turn, you find them buying high and selling low because, they've got less faith in the system and haven't Ben able to decipher when what they are sold is just FUD.
In truth, bitcoin isn't gor weak hands. It's for those that are able yo take had investment decisions and that doesn't mean you get to invest more than you can afford to lose but, your sure not to be influenced by what is going around except what is of your own findings and appears to be true enough to you.

Still, there would be those who are ready to go down with the system should that be it but, in the face of uncertainty, risks are sure to pay off someday.

yeah Keep Holding your bitcoin because next year there will be a bitcoin halving and if we look at the price history before/after the halving happen then the price of bitcoin always increased
you can look at the picture below and you will see that the price of bitcoin always increase after halving
https://assets.bitdegree.org/crypto-prices/assets/halving/bitcoin-halving-chart.jpg (https://www.bitdegree.org/halving/next-bitcoin-halving-dates)
Well sorry to burst  your bubbles but what if the halving doesn't take play and the much speculated price hike doesn't happen? My reason for this particular question is because no one is truly sure about the proposed halving and plus the fact that bitcoin is a truly volatile currency and its decentralized which means no one actually know for certain when the halving is going to take but we are all certain of is that the price is definitely going to pump and we will experience a new ATH but that could take long, more than the much speculated next year but still yet all in all we are to make sure to hodl our coins till that time comes.

Experienced investors understand Bitcoin's knots and ties; regardless of its bearish trajectory, they know it will retrace back to its previous high or perhaps surpass it. Patience is absolutely outside the box for new investors; they readily panic when bitcoin triggers bearish moves, and some even withdraw their Bitcoin, losing a valuable introduction into the project. Bitcoin represents unrivaled market competitiveness among projects. Bitcoin has been around for almost a decade, and there is still room for a bull run in the future. It's wonderful to see the project's steady progress over the years, as well as patient investors who are holding it for the long run.

The next Bitcoin halving is scheduled to occur within a year and Historically, bull runs have always been associated with halving events for several reasons. What I see here is why mining rewards are cut. The goal is to slow down the BTC inflation rate and ensure that the supply of BTC does not exceed 21 Million. meaning this mechanism will add to the long-term value of BTC. So why think it can't happen. it's been designed and I'm eagerly awaiting this moment and your last point is correct.

The price reduction is actually used as an opportunity to add assets to the portfolio, for me there is no reason to sell when the price decline occurs because my goal is to buy at a low price and then sell it at a high price. Price fluctuations that continue to occur are a process in shaping the mentality of investors so they can survive when price declines occur. Panic will destroy the original plan, The real investors will survive even in the worst conditions.
The price changes that have occurred over the years are a milestone that Bitcoin has achieved, get rid of the panic when the market is tilted by adding assets to achieve the true goal.

You won't lose any money unless you sell your buy position. Don't get bother by your unrealized gain going positive or negative if you believe that the bitcoin price over months or a year will be net positive. That is why overview of your system such as the timeline of your investment is important so you won't get bothered by fear.

So don't get too hopeful or too fearful. Know your strategy and your system. Cut your loss when it says to cut, sell when your system tells you sell, buy when you should be buying more, and hold when you need to hold. Oftentimes, the hard decisions are the right ones.

People who understand Bitcoin and get the other potential that exists in Bitcoin no longer need pressure to hold.
Yesterday I wrote a topic and got quite a variety of answers in the discussion which can be additional knowledge for you.

You don't need to hold people who are afraid, let them go with their fear.
We only care about the ownership we're building.
Bitcoins are value. Price is just a benchmark to know the trip.

Many investors sell bitcoin when it is in bear season, where are they now? Most of them end up to lossing with full of regrets and when they come back to buy a lot of bitcoin they are too late because bitcoin is already above 60k$,it happens last year 2021when bull season continue with the new record of 65k$ per 1 bitcoin, it is very clear that holders can earn a huge profit during bull season so we need to be patience for good.

I believe that bitcoin should be considered first of all as a way to save your money and only after that - as a way of multiplying them. Right now I couldn't think about better option for the storage of my savings. Traditional instruments are no longer reliable, banks, in the best cases) offer negative interest rates on deposits and nowadays they collapse too fast too often. Gold or other precious metals are not so liquid and in my country, for example, I won't be able to sell them fast enough in the case of emergency. The stock market and fiat currencies are too dependent on global political situation and therefore not reliable. That is why I see bitcoin as a best way to preserve my money with an ability to cash it out anytime. Holding bitcoin is even more profitable option, because it opens doors for increasing my budget.

Yes I have seen people like that but I perceive such people to be weak Bitcoin investors. Strong and real investors won't sell off their Bitcoin simply because there is a drop in the price instead they see it as an opportunity to lay hands on more Bitcoin. In the Bitcoin world it takes only the brave and those who understands the nature of cryptocurrency to stay through and make something huge out of it. I believe so in Bitcoin that even when others are lamenting about the price decrease I don't feel bad...

A person who holds bitcoins for long-term bitcoin holding and can handle any worst case scenario without worrying about the amount of his holdings, then he can certainly expect good profits from it. There are people who suddenly sell their Bitcoin holdings when they see the price of Bitcoin drop, thinking that the price of Bitcoin will drop by a large amount. If you're holding on to Bitcoin for the long term, you don't need to worry about these. Because long-term holding in Bitcoin increases the chances of getting good returns from it. So you continue to hold your bitcoins, it will benefit you a lot.

Price drop does not do harm to bitcoin. It only makes it easy to stay in the game. Bear market is an opportunity for investors to invest more and fill their bags in these bear market. Also when the price is low, many new investors will join the game. They can buy low so that they can sell at a higher price. It also clears out the market from weak holders who disrupt the market flow. Overall it's not a bad thing. And in the long run, we are going to make profits anyway. So all is left to do is DCA and hodling.

The people who made the most money with crypto are those that purchased Bitcoin and did not touch it for many years.
This in itself should explain everything you need to know. Holding Bitcoin is by far the best solution.
The more you try to mess with it, trade with it, or spend time on it, the less money you make.
